My fav go to hotel. The only place I stay
Room very small. Enjoyed lounging in the lobby.
Nice room, nice bathroom, great location!
Great stay.
Very convenient and good price
This property was definitely one of the most beautiful places I've stayed
Entertainment. They have different bands play at night closer to the weekend.
The room was small and semi-clean, the sink in the bathroom was clogged. The hotel was in a convenient area for us because we were on a Broadway how’s marathon.
It's an old hotel, room and bath small but for the cost and we were there for just an overnight it suited us well. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, it's just an older style hotel. Would defiantly stay there again.
Location location
I liked the service provided by Lorenzo & Natalie. We flew in very early and was glad they didn’t make us wait until 4pm to check in. The rooms were quite expensive and need to be updated. I didn’t like being charged a resort fee when we were not in a resort. I figured we would hv at least had a frig. I appreciate the convenience of being able to walk to many places, and the friendless of the staff. However, for the rate, it would hv offered more. Also, to be charged an incidental fee but the room didn’t hv any. It was another way for the hotel to make money. It almost feels like there was a penalty for using a 3rd party to make the reservation.
We enjoyed staying at The Paramount Times Square. It was walkable to many sites and the subway! Would recommend!
To be honest the only good part about it was the location. Paying over $500.00 for one night I would be expecting a better room. I had a view from the 5th floor and it was terrible. Bathroom was outdated and AC kept changing to heater. When I asked to switch rooms I was not allowed as I had the room for a few hours already which I only put my stuff in the room and left. They explained as they do not have maid service at that time I would have to stay in that room. They should also work on offering free breakfast like in the past. My friend recommended this hotel but I am not sure if I will be coming back again. A refund of the room would be only the beginning if I were the hotel as there was nothing extraordinary in this visit.
Beautiful retro decor and live music. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Convenient location but noisy being so close to next room. Outlets and room lock were loose.
Helpful and friendly staff
Paramount Hotel is close to a lot of Broadway venues. There are a lot of great restaurants nearby, also. Times Square is around the corner, too. There was a bit of construction around the area of the hotel. I paid 125 a night for my hotel before taxes and fees. The room was small, but I did not need much for just myself. Front desk help was great. There was an odor in my room- wasn't sure if the smell was from plumbing or something wafting up from the street. Overall, a decent experience for the price I paid.
Great place!
The lady at reception when I checked in late on Thursday night (March 27) was superb. She told me she's been in hospitality for over 40 years, and it was evident in the respectful and kind way she interacted with me and the other guests that were around. This is the only hotel I stay in when in NYC, and it's people like her that reinforce why the Paramount Hotel remains the only choice for me.
Great location for theater district, comfortably room.
-it’s a really nice place
Staff very nice. Room clean. No water glasses, no wash cloths, no extra blanket in room. Lovely sitting area and bar located in lobby area. Nice choices for breakfast. 9 dollars for a plastic container of coffee. Easy walk to Times Square and theaters.
Small room the pictures make it seem bigger, and the a/c unit wouldn’t work, and the wall outlets by the bed were loose so the chargers we had wouldn’t stay plugged in, but overall it was a very nice place to lay our heads
The place very nice. The room i thought was going to be bigger. That was the only thing that I was taken aback by.
Very disappointing experience. The customer service was unhelpful and unfriendly. I booked a king room expecting comfort and space, but the room was extremely small — barely enough room to walk around the bed. It felt cramped and uncomfortable. On top of that, the entire place looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 1970s. The furniture, decor, and overall condition of the room were outdated and worn out. It definitely did not match the photos or description online. I would not recommend this hotel. Poor service, tiny rooms, and an old, tired interior made for a very unpleasant stay.
Some of the elevator is not working he take 20 minutes to get a elevator
I had a disappointing stay at this hotel. The sink in my room was dirty and damaged; same With the toilette ( was broke ), and there were ongoing water issues in the shower that made things worse. Given the high price, I expected much better. Definitely not worth it!
Pleasantly surprised
After having our flight delayed we ended up not checking in until about 2:30 in the morning. When we arrived there was a problem with our room so we ended up being split into 2 rooms (2 adults 3 kids). This actually worked out really well. It gave us extra spaced and 2 bathrooms. They also took off some of the fees which was really nice. This isn’t necessarily a family friendly hotel as the rooms are really small, but having two rooms made all the difference. The location was my number one reason for booking here. It’s right next to time square and Gershwin theater. Overall a great experience.
Staff was great! rooms were clean! perfect for a weekend trip to NY!
Loved the huge bar/lounge/open area at entrance. So comfortable to hang out, relax. Could have used warmer water in shower.
Everything was great as always...3rd time there. Bathroom sink faucet slightly older and leaking...but no big deal. I will definitely be back.
I like this hotel. But, the shower water wasn't hot
Great location, but not the cleanest hotel.
Very good location for theater attendance, many restaurants near by, easy walk to many sightseeing locations.
The location of this hotel for theatre purposes is excellent and the vibe in the lobby is great. The room itself was very noisy and very hot. Over-priced for the quality of the room.
Location
Nice area room very small and no table, microwave and fridge like any other hotel room
Geeat
The waiting area was very cozy and inviting. It was nice to relax with a drink and good music while waiting to check in. The staff at the front desk were all very friendly and helpful.
Great!
Great location. Room was clean and comfortable. A little hall noise and some elevator issues. Overall an enjoyable place to stay.
Elevators did not always work.
Had a goo breakfast place in lobby.
Great hotel. Perfect location to Time Square, stores and restaurants.
Rooms are super small, shower water leaks out as the shower curtain does not cover well. Room smelled very humid. Resort fee is Not refundable.
The bathrooms of the bedroom are very bad, the sink looks like a prison cell, A/C wasn’t working properly, elevators are a real mess.
Right in the heart of things. Easy walk almost everywhere! Central Park, theatre, dining…
I enjoyed the location very much. We walked to all the Broadway Shows within minutes. The location is perfect if you are in town for Broadway life. The elevators are quite a problem. Very slow and always a line and a long wait.
Got charged $45 for a drink, small cramped room with bad view, no towels or toiletries to accommodate.
Really dirty and moldy bathrooms
Convenient
Odd but not bad
Two of 4 elevators were out of service, which made getting up and down extremely slow and difficult. The check-in lounge was dark with people in low loungers made it a bit odd. The small restaurant on the outside, claiming it knew how to make multiple versions of hot chocolate didn't, and was most expensive.
Very clean front desk staff extremely helpful I just wished they would have put bottled water in the room.
Amazing location. Nice facilities. The actual room was nothing special but that can be overlooked for the location and vibe of the rest of the hotel. The lobby was very nice and had lots of places to sit and chill. Had an issue with the air conditioner/heater and someone was in our room within ten minutes to fix it. This will be my go to hotel whenever I’m in the city mainly for location/affordability
Noisy
The elevators were a mess but otherwise decent stay for a couple of nights. I wouldn’t stay here for more than a weekend.
Bad
The additional resort/ facilities fee was very high and you got nothing for it . Saw other hotels additional fees were a lot less and you got something back , for example a voucher towards snacks
I booked a deluxe king room...when I got there they told me I have a Queen room, the room was outdated, old and not clean, Ive stayed here before and it was much better, however this time the room was terrible..and changing room without notifying what I paid for was not very professional...I NEED A REFUND!!
Booking process specifically said resort tax was payable March – Dec. On arrival (in February) I was charged $45 per night which I disputed however the hotel manager insisted it was a mandatory charge despite showing screenshots I took when booking. He said it included luggage storage (it didn’t); gym (didn’t use) and wifi (basic service offered by even the cheapest motels). I was told to speak to Expedia. After a very lengthy/frustrating conversation I was refunded, but not how I wanted to spend the first hour of my vacation. The hotel is rated 4 star - downstairs bar area is nice (apart from leaking ceiling/bucket) but rooms are basic. Bathtub was scuffed; stainless-steel sink reminded me of a public toilet; peeling paint by the clean towels and a damaged door. Those lifts in service were not sufficient for guests and 1 water machine for the whole hotel. Expedia emailed advising luggage storage $2 per item on check out, so not included!. To add insult, it was $3 per item. Overall, the location was excellent and no street noise in the rooms. Room was fine but don’t expect 4 star, and ensure you are aware of the resort tax. Correct information is key to a good experience and there has to be accountability by both Expedia and Paramount. Expedia did eventually accept responsibility for the resort tax issue, however I feel disappointed by the hotel manager’s lack of interest. If your hotel is marketed through Expedia, you have a responsibility to ensure details are correct.
Excelent service
It was great, I did have a ac problem. It was way to hot and every time I tried to turn it down it would just go up higher.
Rooms were small and not set up well, my things were moved around when housekeeping came into the room. The elevators need a major overhaul. Very rarely worked staff was directing people to the freight elevators the whole time we were there. Definitely will not be back at this establishment. Should have listened to the reviews I read before booking I guess.
The elevators were horribly slow and had a mind of their own, skipping the floor you’re waiting on and then stopping at every floor afterwards. Add 20 minutes to your schedule to get where you are going! No coffee in the rooms. This is the only hotel I have ever stayed in that didn’t have a coffee pot in the bedroom. Towels hidden behind mirror in the bathroom! Comfortable bed and staff were helpful when needed.
Very small room, no heating. No good cleaning, no towels replaced
The room was very small And the heat would not shut off it was like a sauna 81° whole time. If you need a cheap place to stay and don't care about amenities this is your place.
Had to ask numerous times for housekeeping, as well as maintenance on broken window, TV, and sink faucet. Went three days without any follow-up from management or concierge even though I requested each day.
DO NOT STAY HERE ! The hotel is nothing like the photos, very unsafe ! You will be scammed or robbed. It’s not worth the risk
Not Luxe- Good Deal For Just a Place to Sleep
Rooms are very small--hardly room to turn around or manage luggage. Bathroom--sink is squished beside the tub and there is no counter space. Not a luxury place, but good if you don’t plan to be in your room much. Great location!
The room are to small
Unfortunate
Unfortunately 3 of the 4 elevators were broken and we often had to wait up to 30’minutes for the elevator to get from our room to the lobby. Our room was also uncomfortable with a temperature nearing 80* and windows that didn’t open to let in a little air. Great location, but not the best experience at all.
My room was very comfortable and I could control the room temperature and use heat as it was very cold in NYC. The check in was very easy and friendly. The location was perfect, especially for going to the theatre- I could get to my shows in 15 minutes or less.
Excellent location, Top tier customer service
Fantastic service, professional and friendly staff made a great experience. I will be back!
Not bad for the price. Only good thing was location, close to Times Square. Room service is no the greatest. Had to request toilet paper twice along with hand towels and Kleenex. Requested from front desk and Only got toilet paper and that was after we saw room service in the hallway. Elevators….4 elevators but only two working causing crowds and I mean crowds of like 20-25 people at times waiting for an elevator. Overall, if you don’t mind wasting 15-20 minutes of your stay waiting for an elevator or having your room have the essentials….go for it.
Loved the proximity to everything we wanted to see.
Would stay here again
The location of this hotel was totally right for us as we were in town to see a Broadway musical and wanted something in the heart of Times Square but at an affordable rate. Would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family, especially for those wanting only to have a place to sleep and rest.
