Liked the decoration, furnishing, and great ambiance. Did not like the low level of service, no restaurant, no bar, no expresso machine, and the spa was closed, and only opens partially upon request.
Very interesting place. Well renovated and well maintained. Great staff.
We loved our stay here!! The owner and staff were all very kind and welcoming. The hotel was immaculate, with a rooftop bar and restaurant with 360 views of Sucre. Delicious food, just magical
Beautiful hotel with good service
The view of the junior suite was amazing. The service was impeccable. The owner was on the property quite often to offer even better service. The restaurant was amazing. The food was very good! I was surprised that it was not crowded. This is a truly beautiful hotel. Any corner is good for a photo shoot. No wonder a few couples taking their wedding photos here.
beautiful and historical place, close from main attractions .
Excellent location, great arquitecture. Good breakfast.
Beautiful building close to main square. Furniture would benefit from an update.
Nice hotel. Bathrooms need updated to match the rest of the decor
Absolutely gorgeous restored colonial home
This is an incredible place and is even more amazing from our last visit 10 years ago. Everywhere you look is a lovely visual experience. An elegant downstairs bar has been added as well as a beautiful private dining room and museum. The breakfast buffet, with eggs made to your liking, is delicious. This hotel is one block from the main square.
An excellent hotel with an ambiance of luxury, comfort and relaxation. The staff was attentive and friendly. Room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. WiFi was reliable and fast.. Hotel is centrally located and within easy walking distance for restaurants and historical sites. Overall rating is excellent and would return on my next visit to Sucre.
great place, great staff. shower could be better, but overall, amazing place.
Excellent hotel
Amazing! Has a great service, breakfast, and rooms. Also has a mini museum!
Excellent hotel for busines and pleasure. A grear experience.
Good price but not a "5-star" hotel
We were really excited about our stay in that hotel. It's supposed to be a "5-star" hotel, but after our stay, we unfortunately need to say that it is at best a "3-star" hotel. 1) Transfer / pickup service: We ask them to pick us up from the airport and the reservation team really communicated badly via email with us and they did not indicate any price quotes for the transfer. We explicitly asked them via email if the transfer is complimentary and if not, then they should just disregard the request. At our arrival, we were picked up and logically thought that the service is included. At the checkout however, they wanted to charge us 100 bolivianos for the pick up which was clearly not communicated. We suggest: just take a normal taxi from the airport instead of using their service. 2) Breakfast: the eggs were really tasty, the rest was just ok: the coffee was cold and the waiter was really slow in filling up all the empty baskets. Once guests had finished, he cleaned up their table and put back the leftover breads in the basket for the other guests. Not exactly what you'd expect in a 5-star Hotel 3) Bathroom and cleaning: we had mold in the bathroom and the cleaning material that they used not only kills everything but smells also really bad and the smell stays in the room Overall: not really satisfying and not worth 5 stars.
Excellent choice to stay at in Sucre. Great individuality and quality service.
Beautiful hotel with many courtyards
We had a fantastic stay and would love to return. The property is beautiful, our room well appointed, and the museum in the basement a real treat. We enjoyed roaming the property and having a jacuzzi soak.
Unpleasant stay at Parador
My wife and I booked the Parador thinking it was a nice place in Sucre, but we were mistaken. My wife and I are not that picky, but the room does need to be clean. The hotel staff were friendly and the main hotel area was very nice, but the room was unpleasant. The bathroom smelled like mildew requiring the fan to be on at all times. We had to open doors upon returning to the room. The towels were stained and there were large, long-lived mildew stains in the bathroom. Had to wait 15 min to get our room, at 6pm and I suppose it was so they could open windows to air it out. On arrival, we booked another night, realizing we needed another day. The morning of the extra night, we were told our additional reservation was not in the computer, 10 minutes before we were scheduled for an all day tour. The staff made a reservation at a nearby hotel, but we had to rush to get our bags before the tour. Fortunately our driver waited while we raced to check into the other hotel. We were essentially kicked out, but the other place was very clean, the roomroom was modernized, and the Wifi was much faster. We would not stay at Parador again. Perhaps the more expensive rooms are less dated, more clean, and altogether more pleasant.
We spent approximately 3 weeks living in the Parador Santa Maria de Real Hotel. It was very conveniently located for our business activity in Sucre. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We met the owner of the hotel and he was most affable and eager to respond to our questions about the hotel and Sucre. We enjoyed our stay at the Parador Santa Maria de Real Hotel very much.
The hotel is very nice. It has a Colonial style as well as all the city. Also you can find there paints, and a small museum. You can take amazing pictures from their balconies. Highly recommended. Rooms are very comfortable. The restaurant is not as good as The rest of The hotel. I suggest to improve that.
Experience history as well as comfort.
It is a Spanish colonial mansion, with beautifully preserved architectural features and antique furniture. The artworks in the foyer, courtyards, and breakfast room were all wonderfully atmospheric. The staff went out of their way to let us have our room early. The main plaza is only a five minute walk away. The breakfast included was excellent and in a beautiful restaurant.
Perfe stay at Bolivias capital City
Perfect place to stay. Close to the main square. The hotel is amazing. The furniture is colonial. Amazing paintings. There is a small museum in the basement of the hotel.
Totally acceptable luxury hotel.
A beautiful and interesting building, with very professional and friendly staff. Our room was great, but note that, because it is a refurbished historic building, only the upper rooms have windows with a view. the breakfast was decent although the waiter service a bit disorganized (but everyone very friendly). the hotel lacks a good restaurant for the evening, but there are many good places nearby.
Stunning
Beautiful hotel but charge £25 to use the hot tub for an hour! Tried to charge for using slippers too. Definitely worth it still.
Beautiful historic building in the center of Sucre
Really a lovely building. Very romantic. My girlfriend and I had a very nice stay. The staff gave us a tour of the historic cellars and we had the opportunity to meet the owner, who was very friendly and gracious. We will definitely stay there again.
Old wold charm
Gorgeous rooms, excellent location and a fantastic breakfast make this an easy choice for your stay in Sucre. A charming owner, unique architecture and gorgeous views make this hotel a destination of its own. Would highly recommend and cannot seriously consider any other place I'd say in Sucre. Only complaint is that they do not accept American Express.
Beautiful historic building with all mod cons.
Situated behind the main square, this beautiful historic building has been renovated with care and taste. The bedroom was spacious and furnished with antiques. Public spaces brimmed with art work and antique furniture.
Many sources rate the Parador Santa Maria La Real the best hotel in Sucre. I can't speak to that, but I was quite impressed. A friend and I spent three nights there recently, and we were quite pleased. The building itself is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient, while not next to noisy neighbors. For a central city hotel, it was very quiet. Breakfast is included, a nice continental-style buffet, with eggs made to order on request. There are no other restaurant facilities in the hotel, however, so you will have to go out for lunch and dinner. There are several good restaurants nearby. The bathrooms have real shower heads with real hit water. That works! Yes, you read that right. Not one of those ubiquitous Bolivian shower heads that either dribbles out too hot or too cold water, and threatens to electrocute you. But a real, honest to goodness hot shower! If you've been traveling long in Bolivia, that alone may be worth the price. High quality for a reasonable price. Recommended.
A lot more than I was expecting!!!
Amazing colonial house turned into a hotel with all the modern comodities.
This hotel made me feel welcome!
The hotel is beautiful . The decoration in each room is unique. The staff is very friendly. The location couldn't be better to visit Sucre attractions. Delicious breakfast buffet. I highly recommend this hotel in Sucre, Bolivia
Bolivia Hotels at their Best
I booked this hotel for my parents as they are not used to ¨roughing it¨. This is a very nice Hotel in Sucre. Reception service is good, except having to fill in a registration form for each guest is a pain. Breakfast is excellent, the staff are attentive, and the rooms are smart and have character. It is also good value for money if you book through a booking site.
EXCELLENT DECORATION, GOOD SERVICE, BEST LOCATION
You cannot choose a better place to stay in Sucre. I stayed in the so called "ethnic" suite which has antique local furniture, great decoration. Friends who stayed in different rooms where also satisfied. It is a charming small hotel. Breakfast? seems like your French grandmother just coooked all her best recipies specilaly for you. Superb. Room service could be a little better, but it is satisfying.
Freundliches Personal. Wirlpool und Dampfbad gegen Aufpreis. Wir hatten Zimmer zur Strasse, etwas laut.
Spacieux
Très bel hotel ancien
Excellent hotel in center of Sucre
Beautiful hotel one block from the main square in Sucre. Excellent views of the city from some romos and from the roof top área of the hotel. Clean comfortable romos. Amazing beds. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. A real treat of a hotel.
