The property was clean and very well taken care of. The staff were amazing. They were so friendly and helpful. It was very safe and we went for a run everyday without any concerns. There were a lot of people selling things on the beach but the staff made sure they did not come onto the property so you could easily avoid them by sitting at least one row back on the beach chair/beds. We had VIP access and the check in process was a disaster. They could not find our information, we were not given a concierge which meant we could not make reservations for meals. We later went back to the desk to ask ta concierge to make the reservations but they did not follow through. Luckily it was not a busy time at the resort so we walked into the restaurants at 6:30 and were seated every time. The restaurants were amazing and the buffet food was good, nothing wonderful but it is buffet food. There were so many options at the breakfast and lunch buffet. The restaurants had QR codes on the doors to get the menu or you could go in and ask for a menu. The bars were great and the bartender, Miguel, was wonderful. We were there during the Superbowl and they had a huge TV set up outside, rearranged all the outdoor furniture, had entertainment, and a large buffet of snack food. If we go back to Punta Cana were would definitely stay here again.
When you get here be prepared to wait as I waited 3 hours for my room.. they tell you to go to the buffet and eat and yet still in the waiting area were over 10 families waiting on rooms .. the shower was clogged and every time I wanted hot water to shower I had to call so they could turn it on,I paid for an excursion over $300 from this hotel and a massage $380 from this hotel also … yet to take my wash and do my laundry was a nightmare a guy named William told me if I wanted wash done it would have to be put in 48 hours in advance … from Saturday 3:45pm until Sunday 9am my clothes were returned 4 times and finally I went to the gentleman at Expedia check in and he got my wash from my room and took it to laundry and it was done by Sunday 1:00pm but before then they insisted my wash was not going to get done… a weekend here and over $1,500 usd spent was a waste… 2 stars from ME!!
Beautiful property right on the beach and food was great!! The only issue we had was the miscommunication of resort credits that Expedia mentioned we would receive.
Food was terrible compared to cap cana hotels. At the same time, the fee per night is not fair with the quality of the food.IF YOU LIKE GOOD QUALITY OF FOOD DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL.

We had a wonderful family trip there in January this year. We enjoyed the fantastic beach so much. The buffet is great. The room is modern and clean. Our guest service staff, Andreaus, was very helpful for providing guidance and service. We definitely want to go back. Hoping they can provide more activities at the resort.

The property was beautiful, and the people were very accommodating however, I felt that the buffet was not very good and the only way to get quality food was through the room service or through the restaurants… It was impossible to make dinner reservations, The staff also expects a lot of tipping, and every time you do something nice with them, they expect a tip I think the best part of this resort is the swim up rooms I had to upgrade to get it Beaches were clean Other than pool and beach There was no activity to do The Expedia VIP perk of getting a spa credit didn’t mean much because the prices were too high at the spa and they were not accommodating There was no room upgraded available through my Expedia perks They kept saying I was VIP, but there really weren’t any perks that went along with it They were completely overpriced in the airport transfer so we had to book that separately through Expedia

Paradisus Palma Real Golf & Spa Resort has been one of my favorite all-inclusive resorts in the world, and this was my second time staying here. My first trip was during the pandemic, and despite the restrictions, I had an absolutely amazing experience. The resort is beautiful, the food is top-notch, and the service is generally fantastic. However, I have to say that my most recent experience was marred by one major issue: the resort's strict policy on outside excursions. For over a decade, I’ve been using Viator and booking excursions all around the world without issue. I arrived in the Dominican Republic with a list of pre-booked activities, only to find out that the resort doesn’t allow any outside companies to pick up guests for excursions. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since I had already paid for the excursions in advance. To make matters worse, when I asked about arranging a car service to the airport (since outside services aren't allowed), I was quoted an outrageous $300 for a simple transfer. Meanwhile, my group's airport transportation to the resort in a suburban was only $70. This felt like a blatant attempt to funnel guests into the resort's own overpriced excursions and transportation services, which seemed like a monopoly and left a very bad taste in my mouth. It’s disappointing to see a resort with such a strong reputation engage in practices like this that feel exploitative. While the resort itself is still beautiful and offers a great all-in

The rooms are updated and clean. The staff speaks little to no English. Buffet service is bad. Restaurant reservation is a quest but the food there isn't worth it. Steak was the worst I've ever had. Buffet food as average as it is beats any restaurant food there
Dinner reservations are difficult to get, they are limited and we were stuck going to the same general buffet place called lunchbox for the majority of our 6 day stay. The service is not great and there is a language barrier if you are an english speaker when interacting with the staff. A lot of the activites, like the Monkeyland, swimming with the dolphins (outside the resort) don't provide a good experience, there is a lot of hurry up and wait, forced photos, reviews etc. The actual interaction with animals is about 20 minutes, but the event will last for 5 to 6 hours.

My stay was so great will return FOR SURE loved everything activities the beach the convenient stores the dining experience the shows. The Mélia système is absolutely horrible for the non member even if I buy the best sweet oceanfront in the hotel, there are many things you’re not allowed to do because of that poor management which is absolutely incommunicado you can’t scare when you have a problem Food is absolutely not up to a five stars. It’s more of a three stars There’s no communication between the reception and their gate in front of the hotel to let people in even if they tell you that it’s OK I travel in five stars hotel six times a year for many many years and it’s the worst I’ve ever seen. I hope it’s gonna help them to reevaluate their system and their management in place.

The property was beautiful and there were pools for everyone. Never been to a property with so many pools. Property has amazing dinner options and restaurants. However, I had a bathroom showered that flooded and was never repaired. Booked 2 rooms but was given rooms on opposite ends of the property. So my mother was alone on other side of property. Front desk staff did not work hard to correct this error.
Very clean and attentive
The facility itself was five stars, newly renovated, clean, well maintained. The adults only, Reserve section was quiet, peaceful and relaxing, the family side however that we only walked through was chaos. The food was poor. Often cold, no flavor, flies on the buffet food, and the restaurants on the property were very disappointing. At this price point food should be better. The service was not five star and certainly not to the standard we expected based on price. Upon check in the staff at the desk couldn’t find our reservation and asked if we were at the right place. When we asked for the WiFi password to be able to pull up reservation info he said no. Eventually they found our name and then showed us to a room that was already occupied and also not the level room we booked. Our concierge then left us in the hall for 30 minutes to try to find us a room. He had no clue what was going on. They tried to put us again in a room that wasn’t the level we booked for one night until they found something else, we declined and then waited another hour until they located a room for us. Our room came with a concierge that was supposed to be available to you and help, ours was often unavailable or not working and there was no other contact person so often didn’t get the reservations we wanted. Overall the level of service from the staff was extremely disappointing, at a hotel at this level you expect them to be able to anticipate needs or at least help meet yours, which didn’t happen.

I recently spent five nights at an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, and unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed. Despite promises of luxury and convenience, several aspects of the stay fell short. One of the biggest issues was securing reservations for specialty restaurants. Over my five-night stay, I couldn’t get a spot at any of them, which was frustrating for an all-inclusive experience. The buffet, while offering variety, often served food that was cold and of questionable quality. To make matters worse, service was incredibly slow, despite the staff being friendly and trying their best. On the positive side, housekeeping was excellent—our room was consistently clean and well-maintained. However, the room service app was never functional, adding to the inconvenience. The beach area was well-kept, and the resort did a good job managing the sargassum, which was a nice touch. The resort also wasn’t ideal for families with young children. The pool area was limited, and there were few kid-friendly activities or amenities. I was also told I could access the nearby Melia water park for free, but later learned there was a fee and I had to watch a long "video" (likely a timeshare pitch) to get passes. Though the staff was friendly, slow service and poor communication made it hard to fully enjoy the stay. Given these issues, I wouldn’t return to this resort, especially when there are better options in the area, particularly for families.
We loved it. The only thing we have to say is that they should change the stake provider for the steak cause is terrible quality. Also the Mexican restaurant they should double check the plates.

This resort is absolutely Gorgeous. The staff are all so nice, friendly, and helpful. We had Antonio as our concierge and he was great!!! Took care of everything for us. I would definitely go back!!!
The beaches and pool areas are very spacious and clean. Almost no seaweed (they clean everyday). The beach has the softest sand and no shells or anything to poke your feet. There are many restaurants on the property and our favorite was Blue Agave (Manager Santo and staff were very attentive), the hibachi grill was a lot of fun and entertaining and the food was really good. Flora was really good too. The golf was decent! We switched over to Reserve and got access to premium liquor which made the stay very nice. Overall I highly recommend this place.

The room was amazing, the staff were so efficient, professional and kind. From Omar who took care of us with luggage and made sure we were able to be accommodated for dinner, who attend to us every night in the entertainment area and wished me the biggest of birthdays in the most thoughtful ways to Ramoncito who personally attended and took care us by the pool. They were excellent. The room was amazing, the hotel is breathtaking and there are so many pools, dining options and entertainment that it is never crowded. The buffet was also excellent. Thank you ❤️
The hotel was unfortunately not worth the amount I payed as it was poorly managed. I needed to spend many hours of my vacation on managing dinner reservations, requests for my room (extra bed, room service, water, wine opener etc), birthday requests and transportation. Moreover, I payed for a Junior suite ocean front, but it was just a room, not a suite. I also payed extra 800$ for one more guest and the room was only with 2 small beds instead of 3 and I needed to convince them to bring an extra one. The balcony wasn’t furnished at all as it was mentioned on the website. Activities was fun but it was very few of them, no party scene and day activities (no dancing during the day or pool parties like I had in other hotels in Dominican Republic). I liked the food and the beach, but considering all the other factors I’d never stay at this hotel again for this price!
I liked everything about this facility ! It was our 4th trip to Punta Cana in a year or so having stayed at two other places . What made this our new number one choice was an absolutely amazing kids club for our 5 and 11 year old ! The nicest staff with an excellent child to counselor ratio did it all including tons of activities AND they took them to eat if we wanted. …they suited up and took them swimming ! They did not just sit in a room watching them…. literally from 10 AM to 10 PM nonstop if you wanted. This gave my wife and I an opportunity to relax and have some very elegant dinners at the fine restaurants and at the same time the kids had an absolute blast. Highly recommend this place as it’s clean. The service is impeccable. Upon arriving, I received my own personal concierge that helped me with everything throughout our vacation. Beautiful grounds, nice clean rooms … just doesn’t get any better.
We DID NOT LIKE THIS place at all. - Staff was very unfriendly - mostly couldn't understand English - Quality of food, quite bad. For all inclusive, drinks were not limited, but just 1 choice. Even Corona beer was to be paid for. Quality of cocktails was as good as Water - AC didnt work for our entire stay - STALE FOOD in the buffet on repeat- Frozen SUSHI - RESTAURANT FOOD - sucked plus really hard to get any bookings. No clear way of doing that - VIP BEnefits were not given. We DID NOT get any welcome wine and even coupons weren't provided. The concierge assigned was less than useful - CHECK OUT staff was rude and couldn't even print invoices nor had any information on billed items. - Room service was terrible - they never changed a single bedsheet. Nor filled out body wash etc. We kept asking for towels Overall we do not recommend this hotel
We stayed over American Thanksgiving break in 2024 (2 adults, 3 kids aged 12, 10, and 5) and had a wonderful time. The property is gorgeous - lush, well-maintained landscaping; beautiful, spacious corridors, gorgeous trees, nice breezes to be had everywhere. Lots of wide, smooth paths of travel - important to us since one of our children uses a wheelchair. We had connecting rooms with lots of space for our crew. The in-room amenities were great - toiletries, continually re-stocked minibar, wonderful bed and bedding. No complaints about the rooms! The kids enjoyed the Kidsdom (daycare) immensely, the staff was wonderful and they had a lot of fun activities for the kids. The beach was beautiful, plenty of lounge chairs. There was even a boardwalk that allowed my daughter to access the beach in her wheelchair. There are a good number of vendors that come by to sell experiences and products, but a simple and polite but firm “no Gracias” sent them on their way. Speaking of experiences, we did the dolphin Island experience and thought it was well worth it. Lots of memories and great photos from that. Back at the hotel, we really enjoyed the pool area. The pool is massive, so even at peak times it never felt crowded. We spent a lot of time with the staff at the swim up bar and they were friendly and attentive. The pool does get pretty deep, but there is a kiddie pool area near the main pool. The buffet satisfied all of us, and we enjoyed the Japanese and steakhouse restaurants.

Check in process was not ideal, especially since we booked with Expedia They told us we had a "special" check in and sat us at an unattended desk. Was given the wrong room type, with the a/c not functioning in the main room. Had to switch the next day (after several back and forth with the front desk). Main pool had tons of debris at the bottom. No food service while sitting pool side. Drinks at pool were not good and hit or miss at other bars. Don't recommend.

The list is very long but every individual we interacted with at the restaurant, excursion, checkin, checkout, child care, buffet, pool, spa, bar, etc. was just great. They were all super friendly and we would definitely go back there for another family vacation.

My family and I stayed at the Paradisus Palma Real Golf & Spa Resort in Punta Cana, but our experience was overshadowed by several frustrating issues, particularly with check-in, concierge service, and communication. We were told we could check in early, but our room was not ready upon arrival. Despite being assured it would be ready within an hour with a promised upgrade, we were given a smaller room than what I reserved. This led to a frustrating process of room changes. The second room only had one king bed, unsuitable for our family of four. The third room was spacious and met our needs, but it wasn’t immediately available. After waiting over two hours, I had to escalate to the manager before finally receiving the correct room at 5:00 PM—hours after we arrived, wasting much of our first day. Our assigned concierge, Jose, also caused multiple issues. He failed to secure dinner reservations twice, leaving us embarrassed at the restaurants. Later, Antonio replaced him, and the service improved. Unfortunately, when Jose was reassigned, the quality of service declined again. Daily minibar restocking, which was supposed to be standard, never occurred despite repeated requests. Our room also lacked an iron or ironing board upon arrival, and it took over a day and multiple complaints to receive one. On a positive note, the food was delicious, and the restaurant and beach staff were friendly and welcoming.

We loved our family stay here! The resort was nice, quiet, the food was great and so was the location. We had no issues with anything and enjoyed the friendly staff. We loved that they had a kids activity room and that our room was very big and easy to access to all other activities the resort offered. We booked all of our water activities right off the resort. Best of all their passion fruit drink!
Loved my stay here. Went to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday as a surprised and placed some request for when I got there and they gave us a cake, and a bottle of wine. The restaurants were TOP TIER. The food was great, and the seasoning was on point. Even the buffet was great as well. As for the staff, they were ALL VERY VERY friendly and pleasant. Took care of us for everything. Only had ONE issue and was that we were given the wrong room when we first got there, but the issue was resolved very quickly and we were moved to the room I booked. We were also promised some other amo iTunes because of the birthday which we never received but I didn’t mind because of the cake we received AND the birthday dinner we were given ANOTHER cake that was delicious.

There are different colors of wristbands for different types of guests, including Expedia. If you book through Expedia, they will constantly stop you in the hallways and ask for your feedback, probably concerned about a review. It is very difficult to make reservations for the best restaurants without going through the concierge, because they give priority to Royal guests and other categories. Our concierge booked us into a restaurant that was closed that night and it was very upsetting. The facilities are great, but many of the nicer areas are reserved for high-class members. There are no heated pools (during the windy months the water is cold - difficult to enjoy with a baby, for example). The beach is not private and there are many beach vendors. The staff are very friendly, but several of them tried to hold my child and I think the differences in culture should be considered because for many people this is not ok.
Did t like being approached by multiple people trying to sell me on their Circle membership and trying to get me to book directly with the hotel instead of with Orbitz. Also could not enjoy the beach because of solicitors trying to sell us stuff or trying to get us to pet parrots and iguanas it was quite terrifying at times because we both have phobias to those particular animals. Other than that it was a good stay!

We were there for 5 nights and 6 days. We were truly blown away by how friendly and accommodating the staff was. They really cared about their guests enjoying their stay. Ernesto was our concierge and he was so kind, helpful and efficient. Ramon waited on us while at the beach and he really made our experience even better. We were able to relax and not have to worry about a thing. The resort was clean and the ground were exceptionally well kept. We cannot wait for our next stay!!

Beautiful hotel, nicely designed central area. Good food, we especially liked the a la carte options (steak, Japanese and MexicN restaurants). Nice people. Service sometimes spotty. They made theee times (!) a reservation for the wrong reataurant, bags pick up was 30 minutes late on departure date creating stress, and some other small experiences. Overall good
It’s very unfortunate that everyone that serves you whether it be at the front desk or the spa or a dining restaurant everyone has a face of no happiness and an attitude. No one is happy working here. You ask them something and it feels like you owe them something. The only good thing about our stay is that we were able to check in early which we appreciated that. We had an incident with a security guard in the Beach area where he was very rude, and made sexual comments towards me as I was laying out at the beach. My two other friends felt the same way as he also made comments to them, looked at our private and just stared at us. Then we decided to take the little golf cart to take us to Malia hotel, which is in within the property and we were there no more than 10 minutes to gamble to the casino, and right away we told the security guard to take us back or to call for the person that dropped us off to pick us up, it took them almost an hour, 15 minutes to pick us up. Mind you we asked him four times to call and have him pick us up. We decided to start heading back by Walkin, and then on our walk to the hotel. We were picked up by the golf cart. The gentleman that actually took us to the casino, told us that they only called him once and to be honest, I really do believe him. This is the place to book. We actually were at another resort and left to come here. Worth every penny. Staff is friendly and helpful. Book now because all our friends are going to hear about this. We will be back.
This was the best vacation I’ve had. Everything was amazing from the room to the food. The VIP experience was well worth it. Not sure why some of the ratings aren’t great because I had a fantastic experience. I felt the food quality was amazing and service was outstanding. The workers were very friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed happy to be there. The entire facility was very clean and gorgeous. Can’t wait to come back next year!

The resort was excellent, clean facilities, prompt service from the staff, the attention was phenomenal! At the concierge Antonio was super great, so attentive, educate, accomodating in everything! Also, Andres from the concierge was amazing. At the food services Santos, Franely, Yahaira, Fanny, Delvin, they were all amazing with their attention, the joy and care they have for us. We love our stay, definitely will stay. The restaurant food was amazing, great taste, portions, and variety.
This resort is everything you could ask for, the dining options, the view, the staff, and so much more. The staff is super helpful, friendly and warm, they have many events they plan throughout the entire day, so even if you stay at the resort your entire stay, you never run out of things to do. Would highly recommend to visit this resort if you are traveling. Hope to visit again!

I had the absolute best time with my wife from the moment we got there. From the excellent service by manger/GM Angelo we were greeted with the best welcomes. Then we have the 100/100 service provided by THE BEST waiter ever Ricki, he went beyond his efforts to have the best excellent service for us including his Supervisor Gregori. We also have the best room possible with Jacuzzi on our balcony, including the best cleaning service provided by Rosanini 10/10. Family friendly for the kids and pets.
We have a great experience in this resort the staff was great the food, accommodations the beach is great we have a really nice vacation I wanna to thank Jordania for all she did for us she made sure we have all our reservation and check on us to make sure everything was okay Just one last thing. We had a minor inconvenience because a friend was picking us up from the resort and he was not allowed into the area. They wanted us to take a golf cart to the main entrance with our luggage. It seems as if they were just trying to throw us out. They will not allow anyone to come pick you up.
Jose and Carlos at the front desk were great and very welcoming! Gustavo was a great waiter at sante restaurant, very helpful and pleasant! All staff at Sante were excellent! Luis Alejandro at ginger bar was excellent! Very friendly and helpful! Amazing English!
We stayed at the Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort October 26 - November 2, 2024. It was a fantastic stay. The property is beautiful and well maintained with a beautiful beach and clear pools. We ate at all of the restaurants and the buffet, and found them to be very, very good. The food was fresh and nicely prepared. Our room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly, courteous and always helpful. We also want to acknowledge a few exceptional people: Antonio in Guest Relations who always checked on us. Fausto who is a waiter in the Italian restaurant and was just fantastic, and finally: Solomon (bartender in Ginger and outside), Ruby (bartender between the Italian and Mexican restaurants) and Wanda the awesome bartender in the outside bar hut on the south side of the property near the beach entrance. We will definitely will return to this great resort.

Amazing place, very beautiful, but i reallythink they can do better as far as service, food and drinks. Other than that everything else was great. I recommended it. Thanks to antonio for helping out with the reservations at the restaurants.
