Started great at check-in. I have been coming to Paradise Point since the 1960's with my family and have been coming back every year with my family ever since. I very much appreciate the upgrade when we checked in as our room and location were perfect. We were here in late Sep'24 and had a similar great experience. Also appreciate the heating of the Adult pool for which I swam everyday in.
We absolutely loved our stay at Paradise Point. The grounds were lovely, the view from our room was beautiful and relaxing, and the staff were accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be back!
The property was very nice. As well as the rooms. Every staff member I was in contact with was very nice. I would stay again
I stayed for a long weekend with friends. We enjoyed the hot tub, pickle ball, tennis, the 6 person pedal bike, and bonfire by the pool. The recreation options were great. You can pay to rent kayaks, standup paddle boards, pontoons and other motorized water crafts. You can borrow (for free) sports equipment (tennis, pickle ball, soccer, footbal, ping pong, volleyball). The room was nice. Bed was loud/creaky, but fine. The food options could be better, there was only 1 restaurant option for lunch, but the food was good. There were limited coffee options on the menu, I wish a coffee shop was open all day. Otherwise, we had a great time and would definitely come back!
Lots of fun for the kids at the pools, lagoons, and fire pits on the beach with s’mores kits and fire wood at the resort store.
2 day getaway
Customer service was great. Very helpful and friendly staff . Beautiful property.
Very nice place for a short stay. Every room has water view at the back doors. The only thing is the parking lot is a little smaller. It's a lot for three vehicles but they designed for 4.
This was my second time staying here. I love it here! The Spa is exceptional!
worn off room, no housekeeping
We will be back
😍
Absolutely wonderful experience as soon as we got there. We arrived several hours early and our room was already ready for us! The staff and bell service were extremely friendly and welcoming and awesome! It's a really cool little resort. Look forward to coming back one day!
Stay-cation Fun
Paradise point was an amazing stay-cation for our family. It was wonderful being able to bring our pup with us. The kids loved the pool and the fire pits, and we all loved “cold plunging” into the cold bay water. The food at the Tidal restaurant was excellent. I had the cod and it was delicious. We will definitely return soon.
Best staff and property is amazing. Nathan at Tidal. EXCELLENT
Convenient area!
Need more towels in room and at pool areas. Were constantly looking for towels to use. Loved the market onsite, the coffee shop had great options, the food at the cantina was just ok.
Fun family place very pretty
The property was very pretty . The rooms were a bit dated and dirty upon arrival . The pools lacked towels .
We had a great time with all the amenities and activities! Great family place.
Great property very well located by the Bay. Had to pay $50 a day for parking which was a surprise to me.
Resort close to a big city!
All's good
Wonderful property with tons of activities for families. Reasonably priced for what you get. Only gripe is that the jacizzis sometimes weren’t too warm and we needed to call for them to adjust the temperature- they would show up right away to do it though. Good service.
Great stay
Was a very cute hotel. I would stay there again. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. I can see it would be a great place for kids.
I like the environments here. A lot of activities . But the property is kind of old. The A/C is so loud at night…
Nice, but lots of additional fees
There are LOTS of hidden fees when checking out of the hotel. We had an additional $200+ in resort fees, etc. for a 2 night stay.
The resort is so great. The only bad thing was parking fee which is so high
Always nice to come back
We had a good stay. The Tropics Cantina was closed so our only real option was the Barefoot Bar - but the food there was really good. They allowed a late checkout ( 1 hour) without charge.
Good times
Been here several times, enjoy the property. Lots of fun things to do in a beautiful city. Rooms are comfortable, staff is always willing to help. Brought our dog on this last trip and he had a blast.
The service was extremely bad. We requested a roll-away bed for our kid long before the stay and they confirmed. Then they completely ignored our request. When we arrived at the room at 8pm, we had to contact them twice just to ne told that they had no roll-away bed available. We talked with the manager of room service over the phone about this and they were extremely rude and unhelpful. They said they would send a airbed just for the night but they just dropped the airbed to our room in a weird black box without setting it up. We did not even know what it was and thought they never sent the bed. In addition, they would knock your door at 8 am to provide room service. After I told them to come back a little bit later, they never came back that day. This is definitely the worst resort I have ever stayed in the US
From the outside looking in, it truly looks like paradise. However, "Paradise" is not what we experienced after the first night. Upon checking in, we were notified of the food options on the property, we were issued a map and we were also informed about the $44 per night resort fee. We were even offered a complimentary bottle of champagne for my birthday. We were not told that there would be an additional $46 fee per day to park. Fast forward to the next day, we placed our towels on the floor assuming that we would receive a fresh set when room service came around. That never happened. When we noticed that we hadn't received room service, we call the front desk to ask them what happened and they stated that we're supposed to tell them we want room service. Then she went on to explain how she so sorry and how she would put us on the schedule for the next day. She even went to the extent of asking us what time do we want room service to come by. We told her in the afternoon. Now, fast forward to almost 11:00 p.m. on the next day, you guessed it! We did not receive room service again. So we called the front desk again and this time we spoke to a man. It was as if he was reading from a script because he apologized the same way the lady did on the previous day. The bathroom area was really tiny, our room had a leak at the front door, and we noticed hairs that were not ours on the bed. I think we were by some kind of closet because there was a lot of noise. Disappointed!
Good!
The room was available later than 3pm. We had to wait until the room became available. Also there was a heavy mold smell due to standing water from the ice machine next to the room. The ice machine water was running to the wall of the room causing heavy mold/mildew smell inside the room.
It's a nice property overall but it's rated as four stars and there's no way. That's a two star at most
Good family resort, need some upgrade, poor food quality.
So many things to do on the property!!
This was one of those times where what didn’t go wrong . Fire alarms going off in middle of night, no outside light to our room, sprinklers going off outside getting all guests wet at 10pm. Addressed the prob with staff many times till they gave us some credit back after messing with my account several times before it was some what right . Sorry to say never again !!
Fun resort!
Not the room we expected And the thin walls - we heard everything from our neighbors.
Ac and heater very loud.
I’d say there again
Other than the thin walls, it was a great stay in a new city!
Goid
The room was decent but needed maintenance—walls and bathroom fixtures showed wear, and the shower switch was broken. During our stay, housekeeping was inconsistent; the room wasn’t cleaned initially, and when requested, the sheets weren’t changed, and the sandy floors remained dirty. Overall, disappointing attention to cleanliness and upkeep.
Always enjoy how peaceful this place is
Second time here. Love the area and property.
Best birthday experience I’ve had in years. Thank you to all the staff members and the legend of a driver(golf kart man) can’t wait to come back
This is a beautiful resort. Our room was lovely but we did not receive requested housekeeping service after multiple phone calls. We also had a terrible shower with no pressure and no temperature control. For the most part this is a great place but they have a few kinks to work out considering they are meant to be a luxurious hotel.
Nice property. Nice hot pool. One concern for me they did not clean my room even after requesting them for the same.
We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back in the summer !!
Awesome spot for price 🙏
Overall good experience. But the bedsheet was peeling.
Great family spot. Love all of the pools and walkability. It's also so close to so much.
Every thing
Amazing place. Beautiful bay front rooms. Steps from the sand. Front desk staff was very helpful and kind.
Nature was beautiful
Very good to stay!
I ❤️ A STAYCATION
Overall my staycation was great, considering with all the amenities I was expecting a microwave also in room, as well as upgraded streaming channels( Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO etc. even with all activities offered. These are things that will keep me coming back and recommend to friends. I love a nice Hotel, doesn’t have to be expensive. It’s more about the amenities and the services. I try to do a staycation every couple months.
Service number 1
The property was very nice, but poor room accommodations. Not quiet, you can hear through walls, door between rooms, woke up by neighbor during our stay 4:30 AM. no extra blankets. Out dated windows made it cold and noisy.
Beware additional fees!
The room cost over $260 dollars per night before taxes and other hidden fees. The $40 resort fee was bad enough plus $32.94 for taxes, but at the front desk they hit me with a $46 per night parking fee out of the blue which brought the total to almost $400. Looks like San Diego resorts have picked up the same schemes as Vegas casinos where they tack on a whole bevvy of fees that you can't really decline when you arrive in a rental car.
We really enjoyed the location. It’s was situated nicely for us to come and go out on our planned excursions. The resort is quiet and offers a ton of activities, which we barely scratched the surface of. The parking fee was a little steep due to the fact that it’s a remote private resort with a dedicated parking space per each unit, Maybe just an addition to the resort fee would make more sense. We will certainly visit again.
Late check in because room was waiting to be inspected, free parking, but 6AM ALARM and no late check out in an almost empty resort means we might not come back. Been here many times. Very disappointed in this visit.
This property needs some upgrades.
Beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay!! Wish the parking wasn’t too expensive.
The room we got was dark, dingy and the outside of it dirty and run down. And the worst part?? The bed. The mattress was so soft, we basically sank in it. THE most uncomfortable night we spent there. I would never stay at this hotel again.
Our trip was for my wife and I to get away and this was the perfect destination. We utilized Uber for travel and made for a care free experience. One small thing to consider. There are many options for dining and entertainment away from the resort, which makes it hard to stay close unless you have your own vehicle. Amazing staff and always willing to help and support.
This place has everything you need for a family vacation or just a couples retreat. I especially loved the fire pits.
this resort is right at the edge of the bay. Many activity options.
Wonderful
N/a
Dirty room, no towels at pool
The only concern was the noise cancellation pad/door-pillow or watever you call it, in between the suite connecting doors of two rooms is not available, thus you can hear almost everything from your neighbor if they talk, play video games, singing, etc. Other than that, we enjoy the resort most of the time, there was one pillow cover not that clean.
Paradise Point Resort & Spa exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the lush, tropical landscaping and serene atmosphere set the tone for a relaxing getaway. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. Our bungalow was immaculate, spacious, and perfectly situated with stunning waterfront views. The resort’s amenities were top-notch—beautiful pools, private beach areas, and a variety of activities to keep everyone entertained. The spa experience was pure bliss, leaving us refreshed and rejuvenated. Dining was another highlight. Every meal was a culinary delight, with options that catered to all tastes. The resort’s commitment to creating a tranquil and luxurious experience truly shines through in every aspect. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure!
The property is beautiful just like being in Paradise. I liked the visible presence of security. I felt very safe. And employees were all friendly and polite. I did have an issue with the lock on my door but the security and maintenance were quick to take care of the problem. The battery needed to be changed out in the actual door itself. Thank you for the wonderful experience in Paradise. I would recommend this resort to anyone.
We loved our stay , can’t wait to come back soon! It was absolutely perfect .
Nice quiet place for the family
We didn’t agree with the room service delivery fee! Over priced
Loved the grounds!
Loved the rooms & they kept them so cleaned and stocked us with water everyday! So close to everything.
I like that the rooms were separate bungalows.
The staff was so friendly and caring
We love the bayfront room. The room was large and had beautiful windows overlooking Mission Bay. We rented bikes and road to the ocean, played putt, putt golf, and walked around the island. We also rented kayaks and kayak around the island a wonderful, restful Retreat.
Always a very beautiful, relaxing and laid back place to stay.
Beautiful location on Mission Bay.
underwhelming experience
The property was beautifully landscaped and bed was comfortable and shower was good. Property grounds could have been cleaned from cigarette butts and small trash items. Staff in carts drove around much too fast. Concierge offered complimentary champagne for our anniversary and never delivered anything.
It’s a nice concept but it just not for me.
Relaxing all amenities including
Enjoyed our stay and hope to experience the spa and other amenities during our next visit. Staff were kind and hospitable. Resort location is perfectly positioned around other grand activities, parks and tourist sites.
Awesome grounds
Great
Absolutely beautiful property and amazing customer service. Will definitely return. Darren the Bellman was awesome!
It was very basic for the cost. The second night there someone was playing very loud bass music and the staff claimed they didnt know where it was cokibg from. The cleanliness was mediocre.
Paradise Point
Celebrating my husband's birthday-we could have spent our entire week just remaining on the property and enjoying everything they had to offer-but we really wanted to explore the town! Beautiful bungalow-food and views were great and the people working here were pleasant and helpful
My husband and I went for a couple of nights for a quick getaway. The property was very lush and tropical. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
The property was beautiful. It was close to various attractions but on its own island away from noise and distraction.
Thank you for a great stay to a couple that is just learning on how to travel. Thank you again.
Loved and enjoy every bit of it , pet friendly , my fur baby loved it and enjoyed it aswell
The stay here was really nice. Family friendly, a nice walk around the property, and the beach was so convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again.
The property was pretty with its marina. However, the rooms needed remodelling especially the old bathtub/shower. There was some rust at the bottom of some walls. The sheets were pilly and the towels were very old. Water from the attached room was backing up into our bathtub.
