Management was nothing less than a nightmare that refused in the most nasty and verbally abusive manner to accommodate my disability which they guaranteed on the phone prior. Most greedy and fraudulent hotel I have ever stayed in my life. The General Manager yelled at me for over 2 hours for even having a back problem and refused to return my advance payment before check in. Director Manohar is no different and made this a real prison sentence which was intended as a 20 year anniversary. Biggest tourist trap in Udupi. Criminal conduct and we will seek legal recourse for first time in our life do no other guest suffers like we did. They even retaliated with the tea the next morning. If we drank it, we would be in the hospital. Extremely dangerous place behind the beautiful backdrop. BEWARE. Stay in Manipal and take taxi for $3-4 20 minutes to Malpe.
Reception Staff outright rude
The property is good and tbe beach is across the property. complimentary breakfast wasexc ellent, ocean view from restaurant ia amazing. We were very dissappointed with the reception staff who was extremely rude. Despite our request to get the room cleaned, it was not done. Instead of accepting his mistake he was arguing and stating absurd rules that permission was not given by the occupant. I dont know how else you should tell them for getting the room cleaned. We have given the feedback at the hotel too
Excellent location. Fast service. Swimming pool opens at 10 am and closes by 5 pm- this is very inconvenient and makes no sense. Should open 8 am to 8 or 9 pm. Best time to use swimming pool in Mangalore is after sunset.
Disappointing stay
The room was just not clean - dirt on the floor and furniture. All the faucets in the bathroom were leaking and on top of that there was no shower curtain. Housekeeping services were extremely poor as well. Perhaps the only good thing was the location of the property
Ok beautiful site beach in front of the hotel an food tasty in hotel but bit costly
Location is excellent, reception lobby is not impressive, rooms could have been better, front office staff are good
The beach view rooms are very good. The ac could have been
Amenities and cleanliness is pretty bad!! You can only book this property for location. Its ban on the beach. The service and food is also bad
Except the location, there is nothing that can be appreciated about this property. Front office Manager - Pujari( don't know his name) to room conditions, restaurant food and service there, cleaniness. Seems they are believe the people have no option but to come here for location advantage. I have not see any such arrogant front office Manager in hospitality industry. Good luck to these folks! Travellers, use your discretion and judgement before booking. So many bad reviews but still I thought there could be bias but seems they don't want to change.
Paradise Isles review
Great location, good food, excellent service. Can do better on room quality and facilities. Staff is very helpful and welcoming.
stay at Paradise isle beach resort - 1 star
The only saviour to this place is the location of the property otherwise a complete NO for any of the services.
Just in front of beach but nothing much
In front of beach is probably the main reason people would decide to stay here. Breakfast was really good and also the restaurant was good with reasonable food choices but it was served in very odd sequence and no attention details such as we requested food to be served first for kids and we had to keep repeating but no one seems to listen. Good sea view from the room .Swimming pool was closed for total revamp, they kindly agreed to move into their other facilities but it was too much of hessels for us to repack and move. Good sports facility badminton, TT, snooker but not many people were using it. I did enter the SPa but surrounding smell was bad, may it was coming from the toilets next door . They had little pots with water for washing the sands, I would suggest a shower would be more useful and so the rooms won’t get dirty with unwanted sand.
Very near to Saint Mary's island and in front of beach value for money
Nice Location close to the beach, food average.
We booked two rooms one for us and one for our in-laws. Note there are no lifts or ramp, so senior citizens with mobility issues maybe inconvenienced; however, there's only one floor and the staff is courteous and helpful. Restaurant overlooks the beach, breakfast is excellent. We had trouble with a/c in one of our rooms, which they promptly fixed. Otherwise the first floor sea-view rooms are superb. Mr.Praveen, one of the managers I think, was very courteous and helpful. They have a gaming area with nice snooker table, carrom, table-tennis and a ?tennis court. It's kind of dingy and damp and there was a room which I thought could be a rest-room with ankle deep water in it! We didn't use the swimming pool - so no comments. Overall a nice experience.
better than expected
staff is nice and location is excellent
Will never recommend this
Hotel is not worth for the money .I suugest it should not be on expedia website.Cottages are shabby and very dirty no cleaniness.I was forced to shifted in a different room and some how we managed the stay
Excellent proximity to beach
The hotel location is great and the views and facilities are good. The number of guests was so low the hotel was understaffed. The person that turns on the hot water doesn't arrive until 7 am. The receptionist doesn't know how to check out guests. The hotel is in a location that it is essential for the front desk to have phone numbers and contact info for a reliable auto-rickshaw or taxi service... they did not have this info. My wife and I ended up rolling our luggage the auto-rickshaw stand some distance away from the hotel and cajoling the rickshaw persons to take us to our next destination.
Bypass this hotel!!!
This was the most awful hotel we have ever been in. The service was appalling. After being booked into the wrong rooms, when we did get a room there were no sheets on the bed, after 4 requests we were finally handed a sheet at the door. As I was about to make the bed, I noticed that the sheet was soiled, absolutely filthy! Eventually clean sheets were put on our bed. The pool had a very poor atmosphere and the smell from the toilets was suffocating. The statues around the pool were all broken, and there was a dead frog floating in the pool. We requested laundry, which when returned was damp, and had to be re-done. The rooms were filthy! They had an overwhelming smell of mothballs. The toilet smelt of urine. We decided to leave early and when requesting a booking made for a taxi to the airport the man at the desk basically ignored my husband for at least 15-20minutes. Then after about half an hour of 'trying' he told him that it was impossible to get a taxi on a Saturday. After my husband complained to another manager, the hotel taxi was made available!!!
Bad experience at Paradise Isle Bach Resort,Malpe
I had my booking at Paradise Isle Beach resort at Malpe beach,Udupi from 13 - 15 Aug 12.However, I had to leave the resort on 14 Aug12 since the resort and services provided were real bad.Rooms were not clean, there was no room service even to give you a cup of tea, flush in the toilet was not working and there was no hot water in the bathroom. A real bad experience at the resort,it is better to stay at Valley View hotel in Manipal and come to beach every day.
