One night only but a very pleasant stay. Check in was excellent. Pool was very refreshing

I stayed here for one night as I was transiting through Kota Kinabalu. The hotel kindly offer a free airport pick-up. Lovely staff, clean room, and good quality gym and pool facilities. The breakfast was pleasant.

Very good value, very helpful staff Comfy bed Could do with a bit of a refresh

The bathroom was dirty and tiles were broken. There was no soap provided. I went to the pool and asked for a towel and was told to go back to my room to get my room towel because housekeeping doesn’t provide pool towels. I did NOT as I was already wet! I insisted to be provided with a towel. I may add I wish I had not gone in the pool as it was disgusting … there was brown dirt floating in it. As soon as I saw that I got out. The front desk and restaurant staff were the best part of this hotel.

Nice stay

The place is ok for what you pay, close to the airport and large room are the positives, the hotel is noisy and breakfast below average

Fair accommodation for the price paid. Large room, but noisy with a non stop music during the day. Breakfast underwhelming and flavourless. @ballestrinaroundtheworld

Perfect location for the airport

We only stayed briefly between connecting flights and booked into two rooms. The staff at reception were absolutely first rate making us very welcome and the rooms were both spotless. We didn’t eat due to our brief staff so cannot comment on the food at the restaurant. The hotel is the perfect choice for quick access to the airport at Koh a Kinabalu which is a cheap taxi ride away.

Nice place and good hotel view. Hotel parking need to be paid per entry for just RM3 because it was owned by the mall building. Overall I still like this hotel

Reception guys were excellent especially Jay. Hotel staff is very friendly and there is a wonderful breakfast place nearby

I thought the staff were helpful and friendly enjoyed the happy hour and karaoke sessions. Way too far from the city ?food terrible little variety . Housekeeping poor ,wifi dreadful .lifts were a hazard.

Few grocery shops nearby, 7-11 and a kopitiam just next door. Overall a pleasant stay.

Good stop for accessing airport for early morning flight. Free airport transfer. Room perfectly adequate. Staff very friendly. Not the best location of wanting to explore central KK.

Convenient & clean option for a near-airport stay

Clean, affordable option if you need a hotel near the airport. The neighborhood is not nice, but the hotel provides free shuttle service and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are adequate - old but clean, and the pool area is well kept.

First I choose the room with king size but when I reach it become 2 single size bed, when highlighted to customer service staff was told king size bed is. Only for executive room which is more expensive and have to top up so I did. Upon reaching the room, the Aircon was not even cold after more than an hour in the room.called the front office staff, they have they technican to come up and check. Was told everything is normal. Asking for the temperature they told. Me. Is 10degree as the thermostat I. Set is 10degree but to be honest I'm a Aircon contractor there is no. Way a output air is 10degree. Totally disappointed with the way this hotel. Handle thing. Just wishy washy. Luckily I. Only. Slept. For. A. Night

so far this is the worst..while check in refused to give a room with bathtub even i already book a deluxe room with bathtub..insist by saying our room doesnt have bathtub..saying that we have to add rm50 if want a room with bathtub,after we show my booking from this app then only want to give a room with bathtub..we requested for a baby cot,when the room service come to send it,with no smile and angry faces they bring it in.NEXT! the kettle was not functioning when my husband cal the room service,the lady came again with no smile,telling that the kettle is ok the plug we used to place the kettle is not ok,we didnt say anything because we just use the plug to iron our clothes & lucky the kettle is functioning.without saying anything in annoying face she just leave the room. last it was the breakfast,the food is out! the porridge is not hot,takes a long time to refill the food.Even my 4&5y kids say,the food is not nice..! so it will be our last staying at this hotel..sorry

Everything was ok. Swimmingpool and fitness gym are easy to acces. Im going to jog at treadmill and at the same time my children are swimming at the pool watched by my husband. Their staff are also good and helpfull. Only for the breakfast is not much variety.

Room and bed was comfortable. Room 920 toilet floor need to improve. Water doesnt flow and stay. The bath tub water handle was leaking at the bottom.

Family with children stayed for 4 nights. Everything was simply satisfactory. I wouldn't call it a 4-star hotel though and not sure how the rating came about. The management of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired such as the complimentary welcome drink offered but no one there in the lounge to receive you thus it was abandoned, shuttle or airport transfer was chargeable during times that guests need the most (early flights). But the helpful and friendly staff compensated the lack of attractiveness for this hotel. Wouldn't come back unless there's literally no other hotel in Kota Kinabalu.

Very good hotel for 1st night

Good place for transiting to other parts of Borneo close to the airport with an efficient airport service. Has a nice pool and snother plus is the fitness facilities available

Like the invirement at the hotel and location. Near to airport, beach and town. Easy to having food outside, a lot off restaurant nearest hotel.

The hotel room was spacious and clean. Room service was easy to use, came quickly and tasted delicious. I had a 6am flight, so I checked out at around 3am. I thought that I would need to take a taxi to the airport, but the staff arranged for their shuttle bus to take me to the airport, despite it not being during their regular service hours. The area surrounding the hotel has nothing of interest to do, however, it is very quick and easy to get to the airport from there. If you have an early morning flight, this is a very convenient place to stay.

Stay at Pan Borneo Hotel

It is very pleasant experience.

It is nice hotel. To make the hotel even more fantastic here are suggestions TV channels ate limited and no kids channel at all. Breakfast menue is mostly asian so pls add cheese, yogourt, bread, cakes

Good hotel with friendly nice staff

Had a wonderful stay. All staff was very polite and helpful. Lucky us they even let us check in early. Breakfast/Food was nice. parking was convenient. wifi was excellent. i would definitely recommend and stay again . the only thing that they called us early morning and asking what time we will be checking out ....i think we deserve to have our breakfast first then be asked about leaving. Anyway it was a good stay.

great hotel

Fine hotel and served all of our needs. Friendly professional staff. I would stay here agin.

A bit far from town but shops etc nearby.

They were replacing the carpet on our floor, we had no advance warning of this, the smell of the adhesive gave me wife a bad headache which slightly spoiled our stay.

The room fridge did not work and neither did the fan in the bathroom. Supposedly hot food at the buffet was barely warm. A nice new lounge bar has been added since the last visit but there is karaoke there so had to leave to escape the screeching singers when they started up, but in any case, the drinks were very expensive, so it was time to go after one drink.

Okay and not far from airport

The hotel was okay, but not great. Close to the airport but still a bit of a distance. It was not uncomfortable, but also not cozy. It was a little loud at times and breakfast was a disappointment.

Was fantastic in overall. All staffs are very helpful always willing to support their customers . I did not realise like I am staying in Hotel was like my own resident. Very good . I want to extend my appreciation all member of staffs of Pan Borneo and want to see you all in my next visit there. Thank you.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel

We spent seven nights here and I can say it was only an okay. We could have gotten something else better for the price. All in all it was basically for Chinese customers. *Food - It says that they cater international food, one of the reasons why I chose the hotel in the first place but their menu and even the breakfast buffet meant for Chinese and/or Malaysian. The food is okay though I would like to extend my thanks to people who were very patient with our requests. *Room/Cleanliness - The room itself is old. It also has poor soundproofing, you can hear a lot of people outside the corridor. Housekeeping is very poor. We stayed for 7 nights and yet they only changed our towels twice which I had to inform the reception. Try not to look under the bed, it is horrible. Their shower is also leaking and floods the entire floor which is a safety concern. *Reception - I know that it is really hard when you have to communicate with foreigners but also bear in mind that we have more frustration. It doesn't help when you're frustrated already and the only that they do is smile towards you. There was an incident with my sister and the reception basically told us that it was her fault. When you have to deal with people especially customers, think that the customers are always right. There are many ways to inform the customer without telling them that. All in all, other than some problems we encountered, there are people that deserve our many thanks for the patience.

Best trip and stay you can imagine in KK

It was the most by far my wonderful experience, The staffs are all helpful and very accomodating. Soluxe Hotel may not be a 5 star hotel but the service they gave us ,was a 5 star , special thanks to Arthur and Faizal, I’m sorry if I cant remember everyones’s name but the extent of help that every staff gave us from arrival to departure was really much appreciated by our family. I highly recommend this hotel. You made our Kota Kinabalu trip , the best trip ever.

Superb Service...

Everything is just great!! I will surely comeback for this hotel for my next Sabah Trip. Services are so good, they are all very friendly and attentive. Great Job Soluxe Hotel.

A nice hotel with some problems

Bring earplugs. Lots of motor bikes out in the street. Hotel is luxurious with a nice swimming pool and other amenities. Despite Expedia' listing of available shuttle, the shuttle has no airport service. Very hectic, noisy, and rushed breakfast. We were the only non-Chinese in the breakfast hall. Consequently we struggled to get a Western breakfast.

Average

This hotel is tailored to the Chinese Tour Market. The information leaflets in the rooms are even all in Chinese. The hotel although clean is tired and is a taxi ride away from Kota Kinabalu and the airport. Free parking is available. Very annoyed as we needed to book a taxi for 5.30am, asked the concierge who said he would arrange this for us. The taxi driver was a young kid driving what i can only describe as a 'pimp mobile' there was not enough room for our luggage and my daughter and I had to have our cabin bags on our knees. The taxi had a surcharge of 50% due to being before 6am, The taxi was more expensive even without the surcharge going just to the airport than one back from KK which is twice the distance. Breakfast was served in the executive lounge and had oriental dishes, cereal, toast, pastries and the chef offered to cook eggs how we wanted them. Be careful of the doors, our first room did not lock and when we raised this with the management of the hotel they said go for dinner and we will fix it while you are out - i don't think so! The door couldn't be fixed so we were moved the new door did lock but you had to give it an extra pull to ensure it was fully locked

Not Good Location & Badly Maintained Facilities

Hotel name was changed without given advance notice & we had problem to locate the place. Not advisable to stay here as it is too far from city & there is nothing great to walk around or search for nice food.

Good front line counter staff, Mr Adam.

The counter staff Adam was exceptionally helpful and accommodating to our requests. He could speak good english , Malay and mandarin . I booked this hotel through expedia and requested add on an extra bed, but this message did not pass down to Hotel , all extra bed have been running out upon my arrival. Mr Adam show his patient and try his best to and finally he managed to help me solved my problem. Overall , all the staffs are well trained , patient and helpful.

We are staying for 5 days in kk n based on our experience... This is d best place to stay. Value for money...

4-star hotel far from city centre but near airport

cheap price, nice and comfort hotel with good facilities (gym, pool and restaurants). very spacious and comfort room, wifi is good. just 5 minutes drive (costs RM31) to airport and no noise!

Recommend Hotel!

Everything is fine & good except the fon in my room not function & weight scale in toilet no battery. Hotel location is very close to the airports & main city. Breakfast menu okey I like it! The staff very helpful. Too many chainese tourist here & its very noisy.

Nice out of City option

KK's newest 4 star hotel was a good choice for my weekend honeymoon. A few minor problems with were solved quickly & graciously by a very enthusiastic team of staff members. When the room refrigerator failed & my cans of beer were hot after a day spent on the islands, cold replacement cans were provided gratis. Excellent view of the southern coastline of KK from the upper floors. Sensational buffet breakfast catering to all cultures with many options including a cook-to-order egg station. The shuttle van service is nice although 2 riggit PUV vans are only a 100m walk away at the highway.

Nice hotel

Good hotel but hard to get taxi

Not bad

The staff are nice, the room need some maintenance, the pillows are too soft and got smell, the light at entrance already switch off but keep clipping.

So far so good. Just we request Non smoking room but its give us a smoking room with strong smoking smell... its doesn't feel good. we stay 3 nights, try to change in Day 2 or day 3. but its unable to change. So far staff are friendly, just a little bit slow.

Lots of potential

The staff were amazing. Very helpful and very kind. The rooms have a lot of potential but look and feel as though they ran out of funds half way through. They are fitted out with all new products but the toilet was leaking causing a puddle in the bathroom that remained there for 4 days and I had to find the power box to turn off a faulty connection causing a light to flash through the night. There there was a flap in the roof for the aircon that would scream and it adjusted itself through the night.

New Hotel with great facilities and 5 star amenities. However, the carpark is full of birds droppings and dirty.

near to airport

Perfect Hotel service ! The manager, Reuben was so nice and helpfull. He makes our stay perfect ! the bathroom was not so clean, they had to clean the toilets again. Not so well located (15 min from the city center by bus, 5 min from the airport but you have to pay RM30 for those 5 min! The shuttle could´t drop us at the airport,

I had a nice stay at the Soluxe hotel; the facilities were amazing. I didn't realize how far it was from the main area though--- that was the only drawback!

Bad Staff & Location

The room and hotel amenities themselves are all nice. The wifi came with very restrictive web filters that blocked Malaysian tour websites, radio websites, etc. (no other hotels in Sabah blocked these sites). The "mall" this hotel is located at is run down with half the shops being empty space. There's very little within walking distance, and traffic in this part of town is absolutely horrendous. The airport is supposed to be 10 minutes away, yet they charge you RM38 for a ride and it takes 40 minutes to get there. No luck finding a cheaper alternative taxi anywhere nearby. When I asked the reception desk about making a phone call I was told the entire hotel was unable to make any outgoing calls because it's "a new hotel"... then I tried to book the Kinabalu Park day trip through them since I couldn't call any tour operators, and they told me the park was closed due to the earthquake. When I told them it wasn't closed (I read online) and that they should check, they refused. Later that day I asked the concierge on the lower floor for advice, he got on the hotel phone and made a call to a tour operator for me.. whom booked my trip to the Kinabalu Park (which was open). So the reception are either liars about the phone and the tours or very lacking at their job.. neither of which are acceptable. My trip to the park was nearly ruined due to their ineptitude.

Really great for the location😃

Rooms where a delight, clean and comfy, quiet too! Great bathroom! Super parking, cost 5 Myr pr day, but really great deal. Staff are super friendly. Hotel are near many food options. Located shoulder to shoulder to a shopping mall! Convenient shops like 7/11 and others are JUST outside the etrance! Barber shops too! My needs where fullfilled! Even the busy elevators where quick, there are 3 elevators opperating, so no waiting there too! Really good for the price!

일단 수영장도 깨끗하고 룸컨디션도 좋고 직원분들도 엄청 착하세요! 로비로 나가면 바로 가게 있는데 카야토스트도 저렴하고 밀크티도 짱 맛있어요 기분 좋은 호텔이였습니다

이 호텔의 시설은 너무 후지다. 오래된 호텔인데 많은 관리를 하지 않은 상태인 것 같다. 충격적인 것은 WIFI가 없다는 것이다. 그리고 분명 예약할 때 편도 교통편을 제공하는 것으로 안내 받았는데 호텔에 문의하니 셔틀버스를 운행하지 않는다고 한다. 10링깃을 주고 국제공항으로 갔다. 여러모로 마음에 들지 않았다. 시설, 예약사항에 대한 이행, 와이파이 모든 것이 안된다는 것은 이 호텔이 어떠한 상태인가를 보여주는 것이다.

직원분들도 친절하시고, 숙소도 깨끗하고 너무 좋았어요! 시내와 멀다는 점 빼고는 다 좋았습니다 조식도 괜찮았고 룸서비스가 너무 맛있었어요...

去年はメールで迎えに来てくれるはずの空港に迎えに来なかった！今年はメールの返信も無い。フロントは電話しろと言うが国際電話しろと？なんのためにメールアドレスを掲載しているのか分からない！
