The staff was supper friendly and the convenience of the walking distance to places was great. The only downsid is the room I stayed in didn’t have a fan or any AC, the staff didn’t hesitate to see what way they could help me.

Great. The place was clean and the check in was easy. Great price and location for a short stay.

Me gusto, comodo, haceado el unico detalle que no avia un rotulo q indicara q era el hostel q ivamos, y tuvimos que ir a otro lugar a registrarnos, la opcion de pagos muy limitada. Solo efectivo. Lo demas todo muy bien

Be prepared for no hot water, but everything else is wonderful and perfectly accommodating. Great price.

Buen lugar.

A great value in a unique property! The staff was pleasant and very helpful especially Gabriela at the reception desk. My room was clean and very comfortable. Great views. The rooftop area was fantastic. The hostel was in a nice area with a cafe and other amenities nearby. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Un buen lugar

I had several longer stays at the annex of the property. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and clean. And the view from the roof terrace over the city is one of the best in town! The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The only downside is the spotty wifi signal at the property, not a big deal when travelling but a bit tricky for work purposes. Overall great value for your money!

Only 1 fan per room, they sell water but is warm (room temp)

Beautiful place

Palmira Hostel had amazing staff with excellent service. It was a very safe area with lots of restaurants and cafes closeby. The wifi connection could be a little better in some of the public areas. The hostel was also very spacious with trees and plants everywhere- it was so relaxing with the best view of Il Picacho. Overall, it was still a place that I would recommend and stay again!

You can't sleep here

The room is good for the price but mine was just beside laundry machines which were on all night so I couldn't sleep it was terrible. Also the cleaning ladies chanting there and staff at night all night so bad. I take a private room to have peace and pay 25 Usd which was no worth it at all. They ask me to pay 5 Usd extra 100 lempiras for check out 30 minutes later which is stupid as they didn't inform me before. Honestly hotel would have been way better. I also didn't meet any other travelers here which is why I choose a hostel in the first place.

Decent place for stopover

Nice place for a stopover in Tegucigalpa. They moved us to the annex building a few blocks away, which seemed weird at first but was actually probably nicer. 24 hour security. You don't get a key to the gate, though, so it was a bit annoying ringing the bell and bothering the guard every time you go in and out. Kitchen and common spaces were nice. Smoking only outside the gate on the street (despite many open terrace spaces inside).

The best value stay in Tegucigalpa

I stayed at Palmira Hostel for 3 nights. The private room was like a hotel. The owners are welcoming and professional. I left my cell in the taxi on the way there and the receptionist made a call for me to the bus station to report it (no luck). I would have stayed longer but they were sold out for the nights I wanted. The taxis know the location as well making an easy transfer. It is in the embassy district which is a safe area of Tegucigalpa. It used to be the Ecuadorian embassy years back, which adds to the experience. You will have to pay in cash. There is an ATM, grocery store and a Burger King 5 minutes walking distance. I would stay here again.

Very noisy stay, staff not very attentive/present

The hotel felt very safe. Our room was clean, had a comfortable bed with clean bedding and was pleasantly decorated. There is a nice rooftop terrace. Unfortunately we had very disruptive nights sleeps both the nights we stayed here. Other guests were extremely noisy (2am) and there were no members of staff to quiten them (if there were staff members none of them did anything - there is supposed to be a 24hour desk and all the disruptive noise came from the reception area). The room was loud in general and the hotel is on a busy, noisy road.

Just...meh.

Great building, good location, good price. Unfortunately we were surrounded by typical hosteler’s...loud, dirty, and rude. And the WiFi was terrible. But the owner was very nice and the rest of the staff was quite friendly.

You get what you pay

Basic hostel with a kitchen. Fans in the room circulated warm air but it's what you get what you pay for. Host was pleasant. Asked about Tica bus tickets and got driven to the station the following morning. Area a little sketchy

Nice hotel

Comfortable rooms, you feel like you're at home! Very clean. You have a Beautiful view of Picacho's Crist from your room! The staff is very kindly and helpful

Great staff and great location.

I stayed here for one night when I went to take an exam in Tegucigalpa. The location is very nice. The grocery store down the street has everything you could need and there is a nice coffee shop and pharmacy right across the street. The owner is very friendly. He invited me to work out with him on the rooftop and there was such a beautiful view. The night guard is also extremely friendly and the hotel feels very safe. The rooms are simple, but very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

awful in every possible way

the place is not well located, and once you get in everything falls behind. i used the laundry service and they shrinked everything!! when talking to the owner, that btw never wears a shirt all day long, he said that he will fix everything, but then disappeared. waited till 3 in the morning for him to show up before catching a flight but never did. i've been travelling all my life, 40+ countries, and the level reached by this cheap stay has surpassed all the limits i've ever seen. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!
