Beautiful location, wonderful staff, lovely food and gorgeous rooms. The only thing I would counsel about is that the hotel is 5 star but is already starting to show signs of use - peeling of the walls in our room etc. This is a shame and could be easily rectified, as could the poor reception on the tv. But this are minor issues - a wonderful place.

The check in process was seamless even for our 2am arrival. The view in the morning was spectacular. The suite was clean, spacious with a welcome bottle of wine and charcuterie board. Small boutique contemporary hotel with only 20 rooms which was nice and quiet. The downside was airport to hotel 55mins away. My fault for not mapping however uber is going to be $85 euros one way unless you rent a car. I missed not having a TV in the bedroom, mattress not so comfortable, a higher sheet thread count could have made the bed better. Lastly, as adult only resort there we’re more children than expected during the on property breakfast and dinner. Didn’t take away from the incredible view, the amazing adjacent clubhouse, the golf course and the sea shells/beach was absolutely spectacular and a must see. Hands down the hotel location was beautiful and staff very nice.

5-star small resort hotel overlooking golf course and ocean. Staff were excellent. Easy parking. Food was also great-breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended!

This property was beautiful, clean and we had a spacious room. The food and the staff were great! We felt a bit deceived by the photos on their website. The photos made the beach look much closer, the pool and resort much bigger than it was.

Excellent winter value

Wonderful value winter prices BUT Lagos town is a 13 minute drive not 5 minutes !! -- front of house staff always very helpful--we found the beds too firm but mattress toppers provided if request together with a pillow choice . We are not golfers

Excellent resort. The only issue was the walks which were paper thin and could hear everything from next door guests. Otherwise great service and staff.

The staff were amazing!

The property is NOT beachfront and is a long walk down to the water (big uphill walk back) plus it has no beachfront facilities. It is very isolated and you need a vehicle to get around. If you like golf - this is the place. The food and staff were great. We really liked our room but the property needs polish. All the glass doors and decking was filthy.

What an awesome location in the Algarve. This hotel has only 20 rooms and every room has a deck overlooking the beach - it's only a 10-15 minute walk down to the beach and you can walk the boardwalk all they way into Lagos. But in addition to views and location the rooms are fabulous and the restaurant is also fabulous. The only bad thing about this hotel is that we could not afford to stay longer!

Relaxed athmosphere

Room and staff was great. A big minus is the missing of a gym and a bigger pool for a five star hotel.

Beautiful accomodation looking over the golf course and ocean and towards Lagos. Staff wonderful! Extremely accommodating and polite. We had an amazing stay.

Management does not care about existing clients

Booked property 8 month out. Nowhere did it say no kids allowed. Arrived on Christmas night from Lisbon after-dark, tired w/ wife and infant son, and got a cold-handed kick in-the-face (sorry, but you have to stay elsewhere). No offer of anything to rectify the problem, just, “we’ll help you find another hotel”. No thanks, I can google myself. I understand things like this happen, but since it was the mistake of the property, I expected at least more compassion or attention to the matter. Asked Sarah, the manager, to change the booking name of the hotel on Hotels.com to say “Adults Only” to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else (which now it does, so FYI). Looks like management of this hotel worries about their future business (good), but ignores the experience of existing clients (bad). Otherwise, the property looks good (have been scoping it for a long time), and the “surface-level” reviews look good. However, the way management handled this situation tells me that if you say happened to find bed-bugs in your room, they would just promise to clean the bed for the next customer and let you hang dry. That is not how customer service works at top companies (think Amazon). If the company makes a mistake (and Sarah admitted she missed properly labeling the booking on Hotels.com), then the company has to “make it right”, or it will soon be out of business. Oh yes, you bet we left all of the dirty nappies from the drive in the parking lot. Fair gift for the SNAFU.

Amazing hotel, the highlight of our trip. Staff were wonderful and very friendly. Pool was great, you could order food and drinks and sit by the pool. Dinner was also excellent. Views were spectacular. Great place for couples and to relax, very quiet. A short drive to the beach or hotel will take you in a golf cart. all rooms have balcony views. Overall gorgeous stay! Highly recommend.

Excellent Stay

Modern Hotel & Golf course on a hillside just outside Lagos overlooking the Sea. Large room with Lanai style balcony with a view of both the Sea and Golf course. Very good restaurant (best to book) and a variety of options for breakfast. Staff all friendly and efficient.

Great relaxing 5 star boutique hotel

Great location, fantastic view from your bed full sea view, staff very helpful always willing to help you. We live in Portugal and needed a relaxing battery charge. Well it was well worth it. We opted for breakfast in the room as didn't want to rush and wasn't disappointed. If you play golf or want a relaxing time I would certainly recommend this hotel. We will certainly be here again.

Clean and spacious apartment. No WiFi, parking off site 5-10 mins away, room smelled like smoke.

Very nice boutique resort with a fantastic view over the sea and greens. Welcoming was very friendly and liked the breakfast too. Easy to drive to Lagos for diverse restaurant selection.

Beautiful setting and the staff was top notch all the way. It is not terribly close to town, but it was easy to get an Uber for 5-7 Euros. Breakfast was great every morning and the room was beautiful. It was an easy walk to the beach, or you can hop a buggy ride down the hill.

Pleasant stay

Nice property in a very quiet and peaceful area (despite the construction of villas nearby). Only 20 rooms so never felt crowded even at busy breakfast times. Service is good, staff very friendly and polite. It is clean, though more attention should be paid to the floors in bathrooms, the dining room and the sofas/seats in reception area. Snack food we had the first night was overpriced and lacked flavour so did not try dinner. The breakfast generally was good, though selection did not change much during our week's stay. The hotel would benefit from a spa/gym, we enjoyed those at their sister hotel. Golf course looked nice, though did not get to play as it was busy and felt that we were not not too welcome as beginners. Local area has plenty to offer for exploring so overall really enjoyed our stay.

The only thing missing to this beautiful hotel is the quality of the food. Some efforts could be made also on service. Not very friendly and sometimes short staffed.

The property is lovely, quiet and just outside Lagos yet with easy accessibility. While it is not quite ready, now Is the time to visit before it is completely finished and then impossible to book.

Very nice hotel

Nice hotel overall with helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, but not near the best we had on our 3 week vacation in a Portugal. Could use a bit more variety and presentation could be improved (didn't like the plastic lids on the hot items). We had 3 dinners at the hotel and all meals were delicious. As for complementary water, being a 5 star hotel they should give you one bottle every day rather than just one for our entire 3 day stay, but they did give us a bottle of wine complementary and house baked cookies for turn down every night so we can't really complain. Nice property overall. It USC a little ways from the beach but they gave a free shuttle there. Great view of Lagos and the sea. Great rain shower.

Quiet Private Elegant Luxury

Quiet elegant luxury. This hotel just opened in April 2017. Although it it is a bit outside of Lagos, the location insures privacy and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of Lagos. While for many the attraction is the golf, my wife and I don’t play golf, bu the beauty of the course made me want to learn. The rooms are spacious, clean open and elegant modern. Each of the 20 rooms has a huge deck overlooking the golf course and the ocean. Really one of the most beautiful views. If you need a vacation to get away from it all, this is the place. It probably helps to have a car (we rented one). One suggestion - if you use GPS - we couldn’t find he hotel because it is so new but we found the golf course as a POI.

Beautiful small luxury hotel

This hotel has just 20 rooms, is modern and bright and has a beautiful unspoilt view of the sea and the surrounding landscape. rooms are spacious and beautifully designed. Our bed was very comfortable, bathrooms spacious with modern rain showers. staff was immensely friendly, especially Theresa from reception and Sophie from the restaurant. Breakfast was great and we also had 2 set dinners which were good. Overall a great experience and would fully recommend this hotel.

Beautiful view, relaxed beach house hotel

If you are looking for a smaller, sophisticated but relaxed hotel , mainly adults only, then this place ticks all the boxes. You don't have to be a golfer to stay here, but if you are, you are right on a 27 hole golf course overlooking the sea with outstanding 180° degree views. The staff are without exception fantastic, friendly and will go the extra mile with any request. It's like being in your own, personal beach house with decor to match and airy, bright bedrooms with huge beds.The pool is lovely but if it could be heated in the cooler months, this would make it more usable as the water was cold in October! A real hidden gem, go before it gets discovered!
