Lots of extra comforts supplied. Bed superb, large bathroom & fully equipped kitchette with coffee machine.

An excellent motel. The owners clearly care very much, with the room spotless, great recommendations for dinner and activities and all with a very friendly smile!

Great location to the city centre, with lots of eateries to choose from. The property is well kept and the rooms clean and well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful. Easy parking. A return visit definately.

Nothing was too much trouble fit Robyn and the room was absolutely gorgeous with so many added extras that made it a very special stay!

Host was excellent. Spoke to us for ages about where to go as tourists and even recommended a handful of dinner options nearby. The room was clean and overall exceptional. We will stay here on our future plans in Nelson.

Consistent quality at this motel. Professional yet with a feel of home with beautiful bedspread & linen, coffee machine and friendly owners who are lovely to deal with. Excellent location with easy stroll to CBD. Perfect accommodation for a busy week of work or equally a relaxing holiday. Highly recommended

This place is a hidden gem! It doesn't look like much from the outside (your basic motor lodge on a rather busy commercial strip) but don't judge the book by its cover! Our two room Suite was lovely very spacious, modern and clean with all the amenities you'd expect from a more upscale hotel. The owner (staffing the front desk) was super friendly and welcoming, and full of great suggestions for things to do and places to eat nearby.

Receptionist was fantastic and gave me pointers for seeing the town and places to eat - thank you!

Service was warm and friendly, room had everything I needed, beds were comfy and the room was quiet. Can’t ask for much more than that!

Superb accommodation near town centre

Superb accommodation just a short walk from the town and cathedral. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable with nice veranda. Very friendly and helpful staff.

An outstanding place to stay from the warm and informative welcome we received on arrival to the simply amazing unit we had during our stay, made up of everything one could wish for. Just that wee touch of luxury that helped make our stay so enjoyable. We would both strongly recommend the Palazzo. - Sean and Penny 😊

Property is immaculate Well equipped kitchen with plenty of households items Lovely decor

The proprietor was extremely helpful, even taking care of our laundry while we went to dinner stating "life is too short to watch laundry." Convenient, clean, comfortable and good value.

I loved my one night stay in this quality accommodation and will definitely go back with the next visit to Nelson

Great choice for stay in quaint Nelson! Easily walkable to sights and restaurants. Nice sized rooms with many amenities, comfortable beds and lovely spa tub. Owners were very accommodating and helpful. Highly recommend!

Top Quality, Clean, Comfortable & Convenient

The Palazzo has received top reviews in the past, and rightly so. The rooms are spacious, well laid out, clean and comfortable. Have stayed at different places in Nelson earlier, and this is by far the best. Walking distance to Supermarkets and to a variety of eating places.

Super friendly and knowledgeable owners and staff. Great location without the "big chain hotel" vibe. A very enjoyable stay!

Had a great stay, happily recommend.

Very well run hotel. At first, we were hesitated to book since it sounded like a motel in US. Given there is no “hotel” options in Nelson, we picked the best option we could. We were pleasantly surprised how nice this place was. Highly recommended

Perfect stay

We had a great stay with Palazzo. It's located at the heart of the city, very close to Hardy street restaurants. They gave us really good information about the area and the activities that we could do in the area. We loved our room. The kitchen, bathroom and bed, everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

Great bed

Room had a great layout and was very well appointed, lovely furnishings and decor. Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable was provided. We did not hear noise from adjoining rooms and the towels were soft and fluffy. They owners were very nice and very helpful.

Great location with friendly service

Only a one night stay but exceptional service from the lady on reception who informed us of all the local eating places etc.The room was very clean and the bed comfy. Would definitely stay there again if visiting in the he future.

The motel is clean, well furnished and ideally located, but the best part about this motel is Max. He gave us a great orientation to Nelson and gave us many recommendations around Nelson. Everything he told us was spot on. He made our trip to Nelson very enjoyable.

AC didn’t work

Lovely place to stay. Nicely decorated, with lots of attractive little touches - like coffee pod machine and milk frother, well-equipped kitchen, and attractive, coordinating furnishings. Everything was well-maintained, with nothing that looked worn or past its best.

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Lots of great dining options within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Great service. I couldn’t fault anything. Beautifully clean. Great space in bathroom plus magnifying mirror, hot towel rail beside basin so could hang hand towel close (unlike many other places). Loved that there were 2 chairs at a spacious desk so no negotiation needed!! Well appointed kitchen with seating at island bench. Spacious layout.

Exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Great room and great location.

This was a terrific choice for our two night stay in Nelson. We reserved a room with the bedroom separate from the living and kitchen area. Lovely room with plenty of space for two people on different sleeping schedules. Big enough kitchen area with all the necessary equipment (although the coffee/tea cups could be larger). Big bathroom with lots of towels and necessaries. Location was perfect for Saxton Oval and just two blocks from the very interesting parts and restaurants of downtown. Also close to groceries if you want to eat in. And the owners were delightful for recommendations and information. Good place!

Good location easy walk to centre of Nelson with lots of eateries and shops. This is a lovely property, modern and comfortable. The units are spotlessly clean with everything needed for a great stay. Lovely friendly hosts. Would definitely recommend.

The bed was very comfortable. The facilities were clean and tidy,the grounds are well kept and orderly. And the staff and management were so helpful.

Stay here - you won't be disappointed

Wonderful place to stay. Very clean with complimentary FRESH milk every day and really friendly staff. Our outdoor area on the ground floor wasn't private so you can talk to people next door if you're out there at the same time. Very convenient to the CBD - you can walk to restaurants/shopping in a leisurely 10 minutes.

It was close to the centre.

Have stayed before this visit as apart from great location to shops, eating establishments, local weekend market the studios with spa units also allow a luxurious, pampering self wellness experience. Top notch experience all round for a weekend getaway.

Sizable space with all the things.Friendly proprietors/staff . It is on a main road with a carsales yard opposite so a bit down on views and ambience - earplugs supplied, to their credit, but ended up not needing/using them. Easy walking distance to town. Maybe spare towels as a spa room would have been handy(Spa at night, shower a.m.) and extra pillows?

At first glance you might be tempted to dismiss this place as just a nice motel. That would be a mistake, as it really is much better. By far the best thing is the woman who runs the desk, who was super friendly and helpful. The rooms also are spotless, well designed (including areas for work and eating in), and included well-stocked kitchenettes. It is just a quick walk to everything in downtown Nelson. The hotel stored our luggage as we did a multi-day hiking/kayaking trip into the park. We stayed twice, and I’d definitely stay again.

Newish decor, lovely bathroom, comfortable bed, everything was edpecially nice, even though we dumb tourists couldn't figure out the Nespresso coffee maker.
