The apartments are great for a family of 4, spacious, proper size fridge and kitchen equipped to cook. The last time we stayed we had a room that had views of lagoon from both bedrooms and lounge (rooms 1/2/3 I think) whereas this time it was a view of the lagoon just from bedroom and outside seating area - but still lovely. I was thankful for aircon in master bedroom but it meant it was a bit warm in the other bedroom and lounge (but the kids coped fine). My husband enjoyed going for a kayak. Lovely dining up the road at 3 pigs and Cafe Vila. Easy to catch local buses but if you think you will want to get out a lot then consider renting a car. The owner is friendly and checks in on guests and also respects privacy so the perfect balance. The pool is great for a dip.

Pacific Lagoon Apartments is located in a quiet and peaceful part of Port Vila. It is close to cafes and resraurants and the town centre. We stayed in 2 apartments. Both apartments were clean and very comfortable. The manager Chris is a friendly man and always open for a chat and suggestions on where to eat and places to visit. I highly recommend Pacific Lagoon apartments.

I have stayed here before, absolutely my favorite place to stay.....the grounds are just lovely, palms and greenery all over, pool to just dive into when ever you want,beach is just 20 meters away, catch the bus at end of drive,such lovely staff!!

The apartment was advertised as air conditioned when in fact only one bedroom had an air conditioner, with ceiling fans everywhere else meaning the sitting/kitchen area and other bedroom were 8C warmer than the bedroom. It also advertised toiletries but only soap was provided. Overall very disappointing.

This place is just amazing! Have stayed here before and will be back. So clean and tidy, beach 30mtres away, kayaks, pool, rooms are big, can't speak highly enough of the whole set up...

Extremely clean residences and friendly service!

Great location right on the lagoon. Can walk through edge of lagoon to the jetty for Erakor island ferry. Also walk through lagoon to the Warwick resort for restaurants. Buses into town regularly at end of driveway. Manager of property was very helpful. Only thing we didn’t like was air conditioning was only in main bedroom and my kids couldn’t sleep as the ceiling fan in their room was too weak to circulate air.

Such an amazing setting, 5 mins from Port Vila central yet completely private. Has access to the bay/beach and the hospitality was outstanding. Made my visit to Vanuatu stress free. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place to stay in Port Vila. Would highly recommend and return there. Situated right on the lagoon, the gardens are very well maintained and the apartments are excellent.

Decent place, decent price.

Pleasant place at reasonable price. Helpful staff. We found that the beds were uncomfortable (too soft and unsupportive) and the location is slightly far out of town so it’s a little inconvenient at night.

Good views,kayaking and fishing.Clean serviced apartment.freindly staff. Negative side bedroom ceiling fan noisey,wifi signal nil in the apartment,no dining on site,kayake was cracked and taking in water and lastly we were told we can swim but I don’t think so.

Home away from home

Great place to stay in Vanuatu. Not flash but rooms are clean comfy beds and equipped with everything you need. Within easy walking distance of Cafe Vila, an excellent restaurant.

Families with young children steer clear

The flyscreens have holes. Some of the windows couldn’t be closed properly. No food on site so visitors need to be aware that they have to travel for food which isn’t easy when you’ve two you d children in tow. For these reasons I wouldn’t suggest families stay here. We ended up moving to a different resort after one night as was concerned our two young children would be eaten by mosquitos and didn’t like that we couldn’t lock, or even close all the windows. Also some of the lights and fan wasn’t working.

Peaceful, attractive surroundings,convenient to other attractions.

Low key, quiet and just what we needed. Self-catering a bonus, lovely location, by the lagoon, easy access to Erakor Island and Port Vila and surrounds. Perfect for relaxing and a good base for exploring. Chris and staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Nice apartments on the lagoon.

We had a great stay at Pacific Lagoon apartments. The staff were really lovely, always very helpfull and friendly. It is a small complex therefore it was very quiet and relaxing. We stayed in a lagoon view room so we had a beautiful view across the lagoon to Erakor Island and there was always something to see. It isn't far from Port Vila which is easily accessed by the many buses that frequently pass by. There are a number of great restaurants within walking distance or across the lagoon at Erakor Island. I would highly recommend staying here!

Very quiet place almost in Port Vila so convenient

We were looking for good location and peace and that is exactly what we found Excellent value for price of accomodation that is convenient for all the tours around island. It suited us to cook on occassions and we were treated with cleaning after our kitchen mess thanks to every day cleaning service - that is priceless service not found often. Cabana for rest at any time of day was superb without mosquitos Absolute joy and rest!

We took our two grandchildren to Pacific Lagoon Apartments for a two week holiday. We all had a great time. Thank you to the manager, Chris for all the information he gave us and for the chats. Perfect for either a relaxing holiday or if you want to do trips you can either book a tour at the office, hire a driver or catch a bus. Bus stop just up the road. Lovely quiet location beside the Lagoon. Own kitchen makes it easy to cater for fussy eaters ( like my grandchildren).

True South-Pacific Island Paradise

From arriving to a personal greeting from the Manager, Chris right up until our departure, our whole experience at Pacific Lagoon Apartments was first class. Perfect location on the edge of the beautiful lagoon whilst still only being a short distance from Port Vila and local amenities. Our airport pickup/drop-off driver (and guide for tours), Alberic was an extremely nice guy - we found him to be very courteous and knowledgeable providing lots of information regarding local cultures and points of interest. The amenities at Pacific Lagoon Apartments exceeded our already high expectations - it truly is a South Pacific Island Paradise. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would definitely stay there again, no question.

Very nice location.

Excellent location with ample facilities. Little things provided like reef shoes for the kids, kayaks, BBQ. Spacious rooms with a couple of very nice cafés close by. The manager and staff were both helpful and knowledgeable.

Pacific Lagoon Apartments gets great reviews and it certainly deserves them. We had a brilliant week-long stay with our young family. The apartments are simple; but spacious, spotless, well appointed and comfortable. The grounds are lovely with pretty views. The staff are friendly, extremely helpful and great with the kids. The kids loved the small pool and the adults enjoyed the kayaks in the lagoon, which are free to use. Getting into town is cheap and easy on the buses which come every minute or so and will take you where you want to go. There's a great supermarket a short bus ride away that has everything you need to self cater. If you prefer to eat out, there are restaurant options at nearby resorts a 5-10 minute walk away. Our experience at Pacific Lagoon Apartments was easy, relaxing and fun... exactly what we hoped it would be. Quiet friendly hotel right on waters edge.

Nothing was too much trouble. Arrived in the early hours of the morning due to delayed flight but no problem getting in to unit. Nice relaxing time plenty of action on the lagoon to watch. Have been to Vanuatu many times before and done all the tourist things so we just wanted time to unwind and enjoy the hospitality, beautiful weather and friendly locals. This was the perfect break we were looking for.

Family of 4 stayed for 4 nights

We stayed here before moving onto a resort, however Pacific Lagoon Apartments was half the cost of the resort and my family agrees we liked it better. The reasons we liked it was everything was there, you can kayak across the lagoon to an expensive resort and hang out there for the day, snorkel in the lagoon, catch a ride into town with a local cheaply.

Clean self contained two bedroom accommodation

Nice, basic, clean two bedroom self-contained accommodation on the other side of Port Vila with swimming pool. Great staff happy to help out and organized a transfer from airport to hotel (2700 vuv) and back at 5.30am. Driver very reliable. Staff happy to help, provide directions/give assistance as required - how to catch the buses. DVDs there to watch.

Nice view - Right on the lagoon

Quiet apartment complex, near to town. Plent of food options nearby. Can walk to Nasama Resort, Le Lagon, Breakkas for a meal. Nice outdoor area and additional BBQ area on water. Canoes to paddle across to Erakor Island. Very peaceful.

Lovely staff and views.

Pacific Lagoon Apartment is well located, close to town and quiet, with lovely lagoon views. The staff is very friendly. However, I would suggest to renew the bedding, as pillows and mattresses are quite old and uncomfortable, and to provide an electric kettle to improve guests' comfort.

Best holiday we have ever had!

Vanuatu is a beautiful place to holiday. Our experience at the Pacific Lagoon Apartments was more than we expected, especially since this was our first time in Vanuatu. Reading the reviews and seeing the photos online did not give them justice. It was so much better! We plan on going back to Pacific Lagoon Apartments next year, as we found the apartments great, and the staff went out of their way to help us (thanks Chris and Anthea). Both my sister and I are clean freaks, and we both found the apartment well maintained and clean to a standard that we would only expect from people who are OCD, like ourselves. We highly recommend the Pacific Lagoon Apartments for your stay in Vanuatu!

excellent location on the lagoon and close to city

right on edge of great part of lagoon and short bus trip to city made getting around very convenient. local tips from aussie manager Chris was awesome and saved us lots of money and time and guessing.

Friendly, quiet, private and well-managed retreat

Completely loved this place - really added to our time in Vanuatu. Units are self-contained, semi-detached bungalows, and tidy and comfortable. The master bedrooms are nice; the bathroom is amazing with the showers surrounded by shells and coral. The twin bedroom is down the other end, beyond the living area, so good separation for families if you've got kids in tow. The covered patio is wonderful - just like another room, and complete with a six-seater table. Chris and Anthea were always friendly and helpful. Tour and restaurant bookings were handled efficiently. We also thank Chris for his recommendation to hop over to Erakor for Melanesian Night.

Great self contained apartment place close to Vila

We wanted a nice green comfortable place close to Vila but not a resort. Pacific Lagoon was a great find and more then we bargained for. It met all our expectations. Friendly, clean, fantastic views over the bay and easy access to town. It was well accosted. We often prepared a meal.

Nice Apartment

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on the lagoon. Our lounge opened onto a private deck just a few feet from the lagoon. The kids enjoyed the pool and kayaking on the lagoon. The staff were nice and friendly. I would stay here again.

Friendly, practical, relaxing & v scenic

Chris & his Ni Vanuatu staff were very welcoming, friendly & knowledgeable. We are so glad we chose a lagoon view room - proximity & view exactly as shown in photos! The apartment included everything needed including inside & outside furniture, secure screens, beautiful bathroom etc. We enjoyed meeting other guests around the BBQ and pool, as well as having privacy when we wanted it. Our only little wish was that restaurants and shops were a bit closer....but learnt it was very easy, inexpensive & fun to get a bus anytime anywhere!!!!

Fantastic Family Holiday

This was our first trip to Vanuatu but won't be our last! The lagoon apartments are in a great location next to the water and only about 10 mins into Port Villa by bus. Chris the manager is friendly laid back and really welcoming makes you feel at home instantly. Rooms are kept clean and the staff are friendly would return.

Enjoyed it. Would go back for sure.

Staff were polite and the Manager was always smiling and happy to help with any needs. Really enjoyed our stay and will be back there again.

Home away from home

It was our third trip to Port Vila in 7 months , this time for a week. We've picked Pacific Lagoon Apartments based on it's proximity to town and the fact that it was self-containing. Certainly didn't get disappointed when we arrived. What a gem! The rooms were clean with good size bedrooms and a lounge. The kitchen was on a smaller side but I did cook there 6 dinners and 7 breakfasts so I guess it wasn't that bad! :) The apartments have that "home away from home" feel and having second bedroom would certainly appeal to families with children. We stayed in garden view unit and it was literally a few steps to lagoon anyway. You can't really swim in the lagoon because of shallow shore but they have nice swimming pool ( again not big but perfectly adequate). You can also walk only 200m at low tide to the jetty and take a ferry to Erakor island. There you can swim to your heart content. Oh, we have discovered on our last day that they have washing machines you can use for approx $5. For transportation to town you can take the buses ( mini vans) for $1.50 pp , they run every few minutes on main road ( 1 min walk). We loved that Pacific Lagoon apartments felt secluded and quiet but also so close to town. All staff are extremely nice, including Chris, the manager who lives on site.

Perfect for our needs

We were seeking a well facilitated but informal place for a family group of 6 adults. We shared two villas with lagoon frontage. Unusually, this accommodation more than lived up to its publicity. The location was superb, and the distance from the city centre was no problem as the local buses seemed to sense when we were leaving, and we never waited more than 2 minutes for a cheap and friendly ride. Hotel pool and bbq were great, and as it is a small resort, it was never crowded. We will be staying there again

Nice quiet location with all features we needed

Our time at the Pacific Lagoon was very pleasant. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was a short bus ride from the centre of Port Vila. Everything was perfect for our young family. It is not super modern or a resort type facility but it is clean and the staff are a great help with tour bookings etc. the kitchen facilities were very handy when feeding our family rather than eating out every night.

Quiet apartments at the water's edge.

We had the best 2 weeks vacation here, beyond our expectations. It's motel-style rather than hotel, and imagine waking up in the morning with the high tide lapping the edge of the lawn, breakfasting on tropical fruit bought from the market on our way home the day before, paddling up the lagoon, or going for a swim or a snorkel pretty much right off your doorstep. The apartments are self-contained, ground-level, out of town, with a quiet, simple charm, in a well-tended garden setting. The staff were great, the unit cleaned & sheets & towels changed regularly. The main road is at the top of the driveway, and any one of the constant stream of busses will get you into town for about $1.80, and from there you can launch off on whatever you fancy for the day. We took hundreds of photos on our various day trips, but one of our favourite pastimes was to take a couple of the kayaks that are provided out for a paddle up the lagoon late in the afternoon where people from local villages fish and potter about nearby. When the tide's out there are small tidal pools to explore and you can walk up the beach quite a way. There are a variety of sizes of reef shoes and a limited amount of snorkelling equipment available in a shed next to the kayak rack and swimming pool. Unless you need opulent surroundings with all the trimmings, you won't regret staying here; in fact I think you will be as thankful as we are for choosing this place to stay in. Highly recommended!

Peace and Tranquility

I dont think there was anywhere in Vanuatu that could have compared to Pacific lagoon Apartments. Chris the Manager and his staff are beyond 1st class. An abundance of facilities all free which include a good library of books and DVDs, snorkeling equipt, Kayaks, kids buckets and spades. Ample shady tree areas to enjoy a glass of wine enjoying romantic views of the Lagoon. Nothing is too hard for Chris, from advice for trips and tours etc to bailing you out for things you forgot to bring. Also ice cold air con for those hot and humid days and turbo hair dryers for the ladies that need them.

great location close to Vila & transport

We were very pleased our room awaited us after our 4 hour delayed flight. It was a pleasant surprise how spacious and clean everything was from the room, the surrounding gardens and pool areas. Great Holiday

We had a fantastic relaxing week at Pacific Lagoon Apartments. Had a lagoon view apartment which gives great views of the Erakor Lagoon. Lagoon great for swimming, snorkelling and kayaking. Location is a bit out of Port Vila - but only takes 5 mins by mini bus and ensures a peaceful holiday.

Great location, great service

We visited Vanuatu for our office Christmas party so we had to house 9 people. We decided on Pacific Lagoon Apartments from the reviews and it fit into our budget. We loved it! It may not suit everyone as it is not 5 star, for us it was great because it was a small resort, it had a central area near the pool to hang out and it was right on the water. Only a cheap bus ride to Port Vila. Chris the manager is a great bloke and was very helpful in advising us different places to eat etc. and he sorted us out with fresh coconuts to drink and eat. I highly recommend it!

great place to stay, nice and quiet

Had a terrific stay at Pacific Lagoon. Close to town yet away from the hustle and bustle of Port Vila. Never waited more than a couple of minutes for a bus to town. Manager was a great help , always available when needed and very informative. Beautiful lagoon out the front and spacious grounds that were well maintained. Would highly recommend a stay at this wonderful place.

As soon as we arrived, we were made welcome. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, well appointed and kitchen well stocked to self cater. Great views over the lagoon and easy access to swim or kayak. The apartment was serviced daily which was an unexpected pleasure. Staff and management were very friendly and helpful with booking tours, local advice on transport and eating venues etc. Free Wi-Fi kept the kids in touch with friends/Facebook, and the pool area with BBQ was handy. Free use of kayaks, and snorkeling equipment was appreciated and kept us amused for hours. Free use of house DVD's, magazines and books gave us entertainment options. Would happily stay here again and highly recommend to others!

Pacific Lagoon Baboom

We booked for 4 nights, stayed for 1 Accommodation was rundown, uncomfortable and depressing. Air conditioning in 1 bedroom, other rooms have ceiling fans only. The apartments are in desperate need of an upgrade.

Piece of paradise.

I was a solo traveller, but still managed to enjoy the family friendly facilities. It's peaceful while still being easily accessible to the city views a the frequency of the buses passing on the main road. The rooms areclean, and sserviced daily (weekends excepted) by friendly staff.

Quite piece of beauty

A lovely spot with friendly helpful staff. The location is about 5/10 mins from port vila but easily reachable via the local bus system, which is unusual but very good. The island population is very friendly and everyone always has a smile on their face. The apartments are quiet and on the basic side they have cooking facilities and plentiful hot water on tap. If there could be any improvements maybe the beds and pillows could be improved and the kitchen utilities updated. But other tan this we had a fantastic relaxing peaceful holiday and would be happy to return here

Pacific Lagoon Apartments Efate Vanuatu

We would happily go back to the Pacific Lagoon Apartments. The accommodation is plain & simple. The grounds were beautiful and enough space between the units for some privacy. The management and staff were helpful.
