The people were cool kind and easy to deal with room was clean no bugs and affordable

No issues, but dated for you picky people

Just fine for the price. Staff was honest (storm knocked out the power so I had to give $40 cash for deposit which they returned to me the next day at checkout.) Appliances are dated, rusted and worn, but everything functioned so no big deal to me. Most importantly, it was quiet and I slept good.

Nothing like the picture. Gross.

Quiet and cheap but the place was in horrible condition and was filthy. There was ashes everywhere, the sheets had stains on them and were to small for the bed and kept popping off exposing the nasty mattress cover they both had spots that glowed under the black light. There was trash from previous guests, wood was rotten along areas, didn't use the microwave because I was scared it would catch fire the sink would not turn all the way off so water was running the entire time. There was two tvs one in front of the other, one must have broke and instead of taking it out they just set another in front of it.

Great rooms

The towels were very dingy. The rooms were not tidy enough. The bathtubs had cigarette burns on the edges of the tub. It took the water forever to get hot and management was just awful. They had no phone in the room.

What an absolute s*** hole. The room was disgusting. Dirty stains on the carpets, furnitures and floors. Dirt in the corners. The the toilet was clogged twice in an overnight stay and there was no hot water. Our vehicle was also struck in the parking lot while it was sitting and no claim. No security cameras, nothing but a shrug from the attendant. Plus an unexpected $50 security deposit that they refuse to refund directly to my card even though the room was not good.

Very disappointed

We were very disappointed. The room was not clean. The bathroom, walls, microwave, and fridge were gross. The pictures lead shoppers to believe there is a continental breakfast when there is in fact, not. Also, we were disappointed that there was not a coffee pot or properly functioning tv/remote.

It was great and will be be quite and clean

Room was disgusting. Shower had 21 cigarette burn stains, old pair of socks in room left behind. Nothing had been wiped or dusted. Headboard on bed had 1/2inch dust build up. Musty, cigarette, moldy smell to room.

Minor repairs are needed,but overall I think that it's a Great place

Tub had burn marks all over it. Bad odor in the room burn holes in the comforter. It took forever to fall asleep because the odor and filthiest. I slept in my clothes and showered at my mother in law house. This place need to be bulldozed and need a visit from code compliance and the health department.

Terrible place to stay.

No hot water.whem we inquired with management we were subject to raised a raised voice and told we didn't pay enough for hot water. We should be happy win warm. There was no warm it was cool at best. You lost a customer.

We realized the room had bedbugs right after we checked out. We tried to call and let them know, but they would not listen to us because they said we needed a booking number. We had our Expedia number. Therefore, they didn’t even want to clean the room of the bedbugs Before someone else was checked in, she did not want the information

Not the most welcoming at check-in and rooms are very tired and need a refurbishment. Bath is tapped where there’s damage and a cockroach was in the bathroom when we arrived. Generally in poor condition and not very clean.

There was a creepy man outside the hotel the whole night. When we were given our key , we had to get the owner to open the door for us. Right as we walk in we get slapped with the terrible smell of smoke. There was holes in the walls, the floor was basically tore up. It was just too terrible to even spend the night. I dropped the keys off at the checkin office because I was NOT going to spend the night there.

For the price and a 50 $ depoist. Pool closed already ,room was in need of a remodel desperately. Would not stay there again also room had no smoke alarm

Staff was friendly and helpful. Quiet room. This is an old building that needs renovations. Almost zero amenities, tissue box empty, small, thin towels. Paper key holder had been reused multiple times. Bathroom door sticks/didn’t close properly. See pics.

Dead flies in the room window, ice machine was not working, had a mildew and mold smell in the room. Like the location it is convenient.

the staff was rude i ask for a non smoking room and got a smoking room

Not as advertised

The hotel should be categorized as a motel. It is really outdated and in desperate need of modernization. The springs could be felt through the mattress, there where stained pillow cases, certain items in the room had accumulated a layer of dust and the pool was covered & closed for who knows how long. I’m appreciative for having a place to shower and recharge after a long day of fishing but this was definitely comparable to living in an air conditioned tent during my days in the military.

The pictures online were misleading. The property is rundown. You cannot register at the lobby. You have to use night window. Pool was closed. Room was in fair condition. Needs to be updated. There was no coffeemaker in the room. The Tv was old and the remote looked like it had never been cleaned. The pillows on the bed smelled terrible. Will never stay here again and do not recommend it to anyone.

Hotels was outdated. Rooms seemed cleaned but were so used it was hard to tell. Furniture was worn.

Booked at the last minute because the prior hotel changed my reservation without notice. Front desk was nice. However, nothing on the website saying the pool wasn’t open, which was why I chose it. My granddaughter is autistic and we always stay where there’s a pool. I wasn’t made aware until I checked in and the room was non refundable.

Was charged a 50 dollar deposit to be returned in 7-10 days. Never received it, even after leaving the room cleaner than we found it. Wouldn’t risk using the refrigerator- filthy. Bed was comfortable. Shower barely got warm.

Great location,price and staff

Service was great I was disappointed before booking I clearly saw swimming pool but upon arrival the pool was covered and not open and no breakfast.

I did not recieve the room i originally booked nor did the tv work in the room i stayed in! It was clean and bed was comfortable.

It is a pleasant place. The nale owner has some unpleasant attitude.

Great service

This room was fine for a place to lay your head overnight. Room was very dated but comfortable. Didn't take a bath/shower or run lavatory but no leaks. Blackout curtains were damaged but working enough. Bed was ok but had definitely slept it's share of travelers. Property was exceptionally well lit at night...came in at 3:30 in the morning and the place was lit up like a Christmas tree. The room had a very small microwave and a mini fridge, but on the Hotels.com site it lists having a coffee maker in room, and my room did not. For a single night overnight stay, this room was sufficient.

I booked on hotels.com. The place wanted to charge a 50.00 deposit. The room wasn't worth 50. The bed was ok. There is mold and mildew in the bath. The lady at check in was nice. The man was nice. The stay was cheap enough. If you just want a place to sleep but it's not nice. It is clean.

This hotel is nothing at all like the pictures online!! It had mold growing in the bathrooms the rooms were dirty overall even the walls!

No pets! False advertisement in the listing.

Worked all day and drove 4.5 hours to find out we couldn't check in. Listing shows pet friendly and a 10 dollar per pet fee only to find a large "no pets allowed" sign on the night service window. The attendant had to cancel our booking and we had to scramble to find another room. We got the last room at a nearby hotel but paid much more than anticipated. I even added a note to the reservation that our 2 dogs would be with us and no one reached out to let us know that would be an issue. I told him the listing has inaccurate information and the attendant said they aren't responsible for the 3rd party listing.

OYO. Wow. Never heard of it. It was cheap. The bed was clean and the shower was hot. That's about as positive as I can get about the room itself. For the price though, I wouldn't expect better. Accurate quality for the price. The front desk was EXTREMELY kind though. He made sure to give us a room that we could see and get to our trailer with motorcycles easily. And showed us where we could park that our stuff wouldn't be bothered.

AWFUL

absolutely terrible. room was disgusting and i could not even get myself to sit on the bed. we ended up leaving on the first day of our two night stay after 10 minutes in the room. this should be illegal.

I booked a handicap room. They first tried to give me a horrible room on the back side of property upstairs. Then, they tried to give me a room downstairs (still on the back side of hotel). I asked about the handicap room I reserved with my booking. I was told it was occupied but, I noticed it wasn’t occupied ( looking through window of the handicapped room.) I sat in my vehicle and booked a different hotel In Grenada. Once I told the attendant that I wanted my deposit back and that the rooms offered were horrible and not a handicap room I was taking to the same handicap room I had previously looked into the window and noticed it was empty. The handicap room was not much better but, the furniture was not as old, dingy or smelly. I had no choice but to either sleep in my vehicle or this room. I slept in my clothes on top of my own blanket sprayed 2 bottles of Lysol on everything. I wouldn’t wish this experience upon my enemies. They keep telling me, “ it’s ok you can smoke in room”. I don’t smoke. I will never, never, never book a OYO Hotel (first time). If you’re going to visit Grenada, MS. Stick with the Brand Names Hotels. Definitely don’t stay here.

A great place to stay and reasonable priced

Front office was closed, had to ring bell several times for someone to wait on me. Ceilings were peeling and sagging.

There was no smoke detector in the room. The bathroom floor was dirty - there were loose hairs and debris on it. One of the bedside lamps did not work. The showerhead needed a good cleaning. On a positive note, check in and check out were both easy. The attendants were very polite and the process went smoothly. We were on the bottom floor and were able to park in front of our room which made it easy to unload and load our belongings. The beds were very comfortable and clean, and the window unit provided a nice source of white noise to sleep with. Overall, OYO could use some improvements but if you need a hotel for only one night and could bear some minor nuisances, it would be fine for you.

Room was a great size and clean. The only negative to us was there was no vent in the bathroom, which honestly no big deal. Definitely will be staying here again.

It was a perfectly adequate place to stay for one night after a late Ole Miss football game.

Tub drained real slow in my room 223. Was taking a shower and the tub started filling up with water, cut the shower off to let it drain down to ensure the drain lever was not closed and it was not. Freezer had a block of ice in it.

Didn’t like the fridge it has a block of ice in the freezer, open bottle water left in the fridge, the seal of the fridge and platform dirty. Other then that everything else is good.

What i didn't like is it didn't book the motel so i was out pocket the 80 dollars yall took for the motel so im not very happy and i try get my money back from yall i couldn't even talk to somebody so be the last time i use yall i had pay for the room twice

As stated in my previous reviews OYO has some opportunities and saw some improvements this past weekend. Will continue to stay at the OYO.

This hotel was filthy and run down . It looks very different in person than it does on the pictures online . False advertising .

Like the convenience, most the refrigerators freezer section have blocks of ice in them, platforms they sit on need some work and the outside of the fridge has mold on the seal. Great place to stay if you’re looking to shower and rest. Overall I will continue to choose this hotel because the potential for improvement is there and have been made.

Hotel has a convenient location, hotel needs to be updated has that old moldy smell, open the lobby back up and serve a continental breakfast. They are improving.

It’s in need of a desperately updating! A 13 inch tv is what I got in my room! Everything else was so outdated! Never again here. But decently cleaned

No frills and no working pool.

No frills. Safe and convenient. Low priced. Sadly, I feel that if the pool is out of order that it should not be marketed with a pool. The pool looked broke due to conditions that are not covid related. So yay. I felt a bit of a bait and switch via hotel and hotels.com.

Rooms are very dated. We had to check in from outside, as the lobby was not open. Handling business through a small window/opening isn't ideal. We didn't feel the safest in this area.

Decent

The overall stay was good. I didn't like the nosey neighbors and the fact the advertisement says they have a pool when in fact they do not. The bed was very comfortable and my room was clean.

Worse hotel ever ! You arrive at the hotel and there is a window with a phone beside it. You call and a man showed up . The lobby is locked up all the time the man stated. This was only 6 pm !!!! It was scary! No lobby and standing at a window giving the guy $50 to get a key . His machine did not work with my visa ??? The tv was about 20 inches so I had to go back to the car to get my glasses.It was a bed but for me, never again.

It had restaurants and stores within walking distance

The water in the toilet was brown. The tape was still on the wall from the painters. The toilet leaked. No coffee.

The beds were comfortable, but the traffic outside was terrible. The bathroom wasn't clean, mirrors were dirty, floor was sticky & hair laying around on floor.

Roach crawled across my neck at some point in the night. Also some hairs on the unopened soap. I likely wouldn't stay here again.

The nasty dirtiest hotel ive ever seen, No breakfast or cofee like advertised. Very rude staff, mold in rooms, sheetrock all torn up, stains all over the bathroom and room, room stunk. Worst hotel ever and should be removed from expedia

Quiet and comfortable, but am very disappointed because it states there is a coffee/tea maker in the room. I purchased coffee so i could have my normal coffee routine in the morning only to find that there isn't a coffee maker in the room at all. So now i have to get up and go out in the freezing cold to go to the store just to get coffee. And its is snowing and below freezing wind chill out. Otherwise everything else is acceptable. But I wouldn't have paid $72 for a room if i knew there wouldn't be a coffee maker because thats a must for me.

Great Stay! Affordable

We stayed 4 nights. We was quiet and we felt safe. The staff was very nice and the room was clean. We definitely will stay at the OYO Hotel again!

Can’t say much, cause left as soon as I saw roaches in room. Thanks for not returning my money, lesson learned.

Don’t believe the posted pictures. The rooms don’t look like this at all. The bathroom hadn’t been touched in 40 years. There were cigarette burns on the bathtub where someone had put there smoke out while they sat. There were no blankets on the bed and the pillows were flat and useless. The room smelled of cheap pot. And there was mold growing under the old stained fridge. None of the drawers in either the dresser or bedside table would close all the way. Now the staff: if you book this room using the option to pay on arrival, expect to get multiple calls from them harassing you about payment. They knew I would be a late arrival as I spoke with a male that morning. A female called again that evening, and I reiterated that we would be late in and out flight was now delayed. The male called a third time again stating I must make payment to keep my reservation. Oh, and I looks like the temporary closing of the pool is long term as it’s still out and there are other reviews from months ago stating it was down for maintenance then. Overall don’t stay here unless you have to. The knights inn looked in better shape than this place.

Overall it was OK.

My husband and I stayed here for one night. It was a last minute weekend getaway. We were able to check-in early for an extra fee. The room was ok for a one night stay. Air conditioner worked great and the bed was comfortable. The pillows were flat so I would suggest to bring your own pillows. The pool was out of order for maintenance according to the sign. Also a $50 deposit was required which was not listed when reserving the room. It could use some updates but overall it was ok for a quick stay.

Not much time in room

They chg a 50.00 $ deposit which U said nothing about in UR text/confirmation??? They said it would credit my credit card, so I’m waiting to see. We necked in Friday 9:00pm and went fishing at 5:00am, return that afternoon 4/5 o’clock showered, ate, went to bed and left in AM
