I booked this place for the convenient location, and super high rating of the place. I am surprised that during our 2 nights in the hotel, the bar area was super noisy from around 9 pm till after midnight. The room was very noisy because of that and there is no way you can sleep with that kind of noise. I have tight schedule and need to get up early, so it makes very hard. I am kind of disappointed. The building is old. You have to carry the luggage yourself with the spiral stair. When the front desk people are available, they will help. But they manage both the front desk and the restaurant area, so they are not always available. I don't recommend people who have regular travel schedule to stay at this place.

A nice Hostal, nice ambience and great location

Great place especially for for solo travelling

Stayed here for my first time to Como and first time travelling as a solo female traveller. Very reasonably priced compared to other accommodations around Lake Como. The hostel is a 5-10 minute walk from the train and bus station and is right next to a supermarket which is very reasonably priced. It is a 5 minute walk to the ferry port and the centre of Como. Staff were very helpful throughout my stay - they recommended places to visit and places to eat. I stayed in the 5 bed female dorm which was clean, comfortable and secure. I felt very safe here as a solo female traveller and the hostel had good vibes all round. Would recommend this hostel to other travellers wanting to stay in Como

An okay option in Como

Good location, friendly staffs, quite expensive for what you get or actually use (various nice-to-have extras IMO). Bed is really hard, can't really sleep well.

If you’re looking for a hostel type vibe with private rooms this is a really great option. Not a quiet place, hostel bar is open 24-7 so if it’s your vibe get after it. Not a huge fan of every amenity being an additional fee when on the booking site it’s written as if they are included. Just write ‘for a fee’ like the rest of the hotels in the area. Laundry 8 euros, bag storage 7 euros, etc.

Great staff, and a clean place to stay. But more importantly, it gave the opportunity for people to meet each other in the gardens which is great for solo travellers

Great hostel if you’re ok with the price. Clean. Nice rooms. Nice kitchen. Grocery store literally next door. Lake and ferries a short walk away. City center and restaurants close by. Train is a short walk. Lots of people hang out there at night Including I think non hostel guests but it wasn’t too crazy. Just chill and a good vibe. It was expensive but thats the area.

It was okay, staff is okay and all but since there are more people in the room it's impossible to sleep well. Also they should put some grease on the door hinge, because they squeak allot

Rooms were super clean and very well designed with light, socket and USB charger for each bed. Good other amenities in the hostel and easy to meet other travelers.

Stayed in 5 person room. Overlooking secret garden and was extremely clean and comfortable.

Such a great place to stay. Easy access to train and bus stations, walking distance from all the cool sites in Como. They were very welcoming. They provided breakfast in the morning and had a great kitchen to use the was stocked with pasta and vegetables. So great. They also had entertainment at the hostel each night so you can have fun with fellow travelers and locals. Great place to stay.

Awesome hostel

Ostello Bello is a fabulous hostel. It’s located an easy 10 minute walk from the Como San Giovani train station and about the same distance to town. The rooms have an ensuite and are well maintained. Breakfast and dinner are provided and there are kitchen facilities available. People gather in the courtyard to drink and share stories. It’s a wonderful atmosphere. All staff are very friendly and it’s great to see the people who stay here are all ages, even including families. There’s a well stocked supermarket conveniently located next door. I highly recommend Ostello Bello.

Our room was located on 2nd floor and noise from outside bar area was loud. Shower was not wide enough for a large person to get into.

Great place in the center of Como ... easily accessible to all the scenic spots. Very popular courtyard Bar with the locals, so extremely lively at night. Very good value for money too and a friendly, cool staff make this the indisputable place to stay in Como for those on a Budget.

The staff was really awesome and helpful and the out side bar area was always super fun they played live music one night and it always ended at a reasonable time

Hostel, good service offering help were they can, breakfast so lala as only toast, better would be bread buns/rolls. besides that all ok, especially 24h reception and the services offered.

My favorite hostel ever!!! The staff was really nice and it's a two minute walk away from the lake. Even though I was on the top bunk it was easy to get into bed because of the design of the bunk stairs. I highly recommend this hostel!!

Overall everything was great! Far warning, if you are a tall person like me (almost 6 feet aka 2 meters) then sitting on the beds is a little uncomfortable because there just isn;t as much room between them as in normal bunk beds.

I went there for an overnight stay. the place is very close to the station and the staff is very friendly.

This was my second time in three months staying at Ostello Bello. It is, without a doubt, the best hostel I've ever stayed at- well located, friendly and clean - and the price is right!

Probably the best hostel that I have ever stayed in for service, cleanliness, location and price. I enjoyed is so much that I decided to go back a few days later.

Strategic location and go beyond expectation

The hostel is strategically located 5 minutes walk from ferry port. You will not lose out, definitely get more than what you paid for. Free breakfast, dinner, welcome drink, songs dedication on arrival (don't even have this for 5 star hotel) etc etc. The reception is 24 hours and all 3 staffs I met are superb friendly! Will definitely choose this hostel and it's chain in future!

I almost couldn't believe the glowing reviews I read online when I booked this place for one night - but, it truly was as good as everyone said it was. Facility and staff were both awesome, the location was perfect, and I highly recommend Ostello Bello

Absilutelly brilliant hostel. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Free breakfast and dinner and use of the kitchen with essentials like pasta/sauce and snacks and fruit and coffee. Lovely little secret garden to chill in. Highly recommended

I cannot speak enough of this Hostel. The staff was outstanding all the way to the barmaid. Great location and food. Being greeted wıth a nice cold drink was amazing.

The best place in Como!

I stayed at the hostel for 4 nights. The staffs are extremely helpful and friendly. They provided many information for visiting Como and sorted out every problems during my stayed. Even more, the staff carried the luggage for me because the female dorm room is located on the second floor. It is fantastic that breakfast and dinner are included. Most important thing is checking out time is 11.30 am! Staying here means you can enjoy the time in lake Como for sure. The dorm room is new furbished and clean. Private bathroom is inside every room. The only problem is air conditioner haven't been ready yet. The location is perfect for travelers. You can reach lake, railway station, old town, cable car station by walking. Highly recommended for everyone!

Great hostel. Super friendly staff, nice people, great activities like common dinner, quiz night and so on. Very attentive when mentioning even the smallest things. Slightly cold in November, but to be expected.

Nice atmosphere, but to expensive

Vibrant place to stay. Common areas require some makeover and caretaking, given the prices you pay for the accommodation. Some staff was welcoming, some to cool to bother for clients. Private room was spacious including a balcony. Room was clean. A good and atmospheric hostel at an astronomic price.

Muy buena experiencia.

Es un hostal que ofrece muchas facilidades a sus huéspedes, desde desayuno hasta una cocina bien equipada donde puedes prepararte algo con los ingredientes que ponen a tu disposición. Sin embargo, mi experiencia no fue la mejor en cuanto a la habitación. El colchón era muy incómodo, me tocó la cama de en medio de la litera y cuando la chica de arriba se movía, se movía todo; además de que no tenia cortina, por lo que si alguien encendía la luz, te deslumbraba; la calefacción estaba en el baño y no alcanzaba a calentar la habitación; cuando llegué ya había 2 chicas y el baño estaba sucio. Y para colmo, me robaron mi candado. En fin, no lo recomendaría para gente que le gusta tener cierta privacidad y comodidad.

Coole, trendy Unterkunft, die überwiegend von jungen Leuten aber auch Familien mit kleinen Kindern besucht wird. Etwas hellhörig, dafür liegen aber schon Ohrstöpsel im Zimmer bereit, die trotzdem einen ruhigen Schlaf garantieren. Empfang und Bar sind 24/7 besetzt. Das Personal ist supernett und hat uns herzlich empfangen. Es gibt eine Gemeinschaftsküche, die man nutzen kann, sowie einen Raum mit Fernseher und Spielen. Vom Ostello ist man in 5 Minuten am See und im Stadt-Zentrum. Einzige Herausforderung: Es hat keine eigenen Parkplätze, sodass man entweder im Parkhaus um die Ecke oder auf kostenpflichtigen Parkplätzen in den umliegenden Straßen parken muss. 5 Minuten Fußmarsch mit Gepäck sollte man auf jeden Fall mit einplanen.

L'ostello è molto carino, pulito, ben organizzato (ogni postazione letto ha caricabatterie e luce di cortesia), buon prezzo e posizione comodissima. Consigliato!
