Whatever I booked i didn’t receive correctly they put me in a room someone was just staying in didn’t feel clean at all
Excellent
A short but great getaway
Lovely, just too short
It’s in a great location and hotel staff were very nice and helpful
Excellence in every way
The orients decor and room amenities and location is everything you need for your perfect stay in Jerusalem Staff and service was great and indoor and out door pools just beautiful Breakfast was excellent Best hotel for us in Jerusalem and we have been traveling toisrael for over 15 years
We enjoyed the room, the breakfast, the spa and the front desk staff!
The property is excellent and priced in line with its nearby competitors. My room was spacious and spotless. I was attending a convention that included lunch. Sadly, there was not enough space in the dining room to accommodate all of our attendees at one time, so I missed lunch twice. I love the neighbourhood, and the staff were excellent.
Great place rooftop pool and indoor pool/spa/ 24hr gym and amazing breakfast tbh for its price point it destroys its competitors
Low value for money- SPA facilities ,Brekfast ,staff
Amazing
All was perfect! Thank you !
Clean, modern, good service. Great location - many options for lunch or dinner. 20 minute drive from the Kotel, 15 minutes from Machane Yehuda. Stay here
Fantastic hotel
I continue to come back to this fantastic hotel. Love the location, hotel, rooms, services and food.

Excellent hotel, we loved our suite and everyone was so wonderful. Thank you!
Terrible stay! Better hotels in J’slm
Keep looking! It’s so loud from the nightclubs around blasting music, you’d think you were in a nightclub. The design was so poor and that the shower would breed mold and smell like mold daily despite chlorine cleanings. The design allowed for no ventilation in the shower, breeding a lot of mold. Additionally, you would have to be in complete darkness in the bathroom on the Sabbath, because there is a big window, showing the interior of the bathroom to the bedroom. So if left the light on, that means light would be on in your bedroom all night, which is a strange design for Israel, knowing that a lot of people do not use turn on or off lights on the Sabbath. It’s very frustrating that if you want to order food to the room or need anything and you dial the operator, you don’t get anybody onsite and they tell you that room service will call you back. Many times I had a call upwards of five times over a span of maybe 40 minutes in order for room service to even call me in order to order food. the manager was very nice and trying extra hard to be helpful but the entire system is flawed. The food tasted delicious except for in the lobby bar. I ordered the ravioli dish, and it was soaked with may be the equivalent of 10 tablespoons of butter, was just too much fat for my stomach to handle, and was up all night nauseous. I do not recommend anybody stay here. In addition to the mentioned problems, while the spa and the rest of the hotel looks very nice, the old masseuse was awful.
A very comfortable hotel with a great pool and facilities
I liked the design the friendliness and the cleanliness
The service as not expected
In addition to the beautiful decor and friendly service, the rooftop pool is spectacular and the food in all venues is delicious. Many thanks to Waheed, Hamza, Ibrahim and Gazale who all were exceptionally accommodating and ensured most enjoyable dining experiences for us!
Very good breakfast, room is clean, bathroom is clean, 2 pools one inside and one on the roof with a beautiful view
Beatiful hotel with a great breakfast.
Beautiful hotel with a great breakfast! It was a bit overcrowded when we stayed, a 15 minute wait in line for breakfast. We were also unpleasently surprised to learn there’s an 18 ILS charge for room service (aside from the actual price of dishes). If you’re staying here, I highly recommend having dinner at HaSadna which is a 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
We love the Orient
While the lights in the room are a little funky, and we just don’t get windows from the bathroom into the bedroom, everything else about the hotel is awesome!
The staff were wonderful. The property is beautiful. The room was unique and just lovely. The pool is amazing
The Orient is conveniently situated in the Week Rifaim area of Jerusalem. It's a 20 minute walk to the old city. Property looks good rooms are nicely set up, cleaning service good. My only negative is that they don't have enough front desk help.
Keeps me coming back
This is my third stay at the Orient, and it remains my favorite hotel in Jerusalem. The beauty, the atmosphere, the pool, the food. I’ve already booked my next stay…
Stunning hotel but service is poor during holidays
We stayed 2 days, hotel was packed, breakfast was just magnificent , first morning service was terrible, I complained and second morning it was excellent. The outdoor pool area was accessible only if you go just to swim. No seats and sunbed chairs available before 5 Pm. I will definitely go back to this stunning hotel but not anymore during school holidays
Disappointed as two years ago I stayed for week and really looked forward to coming back. The sink was completely off the counter. The shower leaked all over the floor and the soaked the washroom. The fridge never worked and the light switches fell off the wall. Upon checkout the clerk informed me that the fridge is not suppose to get cold. When you are told a fridge is in the room for medication then you expect it to work. I was told by the clerk they would hold my medication. That is not an acceptable answer. Very disappointed
Great hotel, let down by breakfast service
The Orient is beautiful, in a lovely part of Jerusalem, with amazing views from the pool. The only downside is the very poor, chaotic service at breakfast. Items, including gluten free and dairy products aren’t labelled properly, getting service is very difficult, tables are cleared slowly.
Will definitely be back
A beautiful hotel! Rooms are beautifully appointed. We stayed in the heritage building and loved the combination of antique and modern styles. Felt like an oasis. The staff were friendly, welcoming and responsive to all our requests. The food was delicious and an exquisite buffet at breakfast. The dining room got a bit hectic at times in the mornings, and it sometimes felt like they were understaffed as it took a long time to get coffee. But we could see that the staff were doing the best they could under the circumstances.
Pool on roof was excellent
We had a great time here and most of the staff was very nice. The facility was clean and the food and drinks were great. We will come back again!
The Orient is on the edge of the German Colony making it convenient to access the center of Jerusalem. It is by the old Train Station. The staff is attentive. The morning breakfast is very good. We have been there several times and have always found it a nice place to stay,
Hotel is beautiful and in great location.
Everything about the hotel, the room, and the food was excellent. What was disappointing was the service related to the room. We waiting 30 minutes before receiving our luggage. We were promised an extra luggage rack and a refridgerator (or activated wine cooler) and no one returned. There seems to be a shortage of staff because this is not indicative of a 5 star hotel.
This hotel's "Family rooms" turned out to be in a semi-basement, conveniently omitted from the booking details. Not worth it. Also, expect fluctuating water temperatures, no iron, or coffee amenities in this supposed 4-star hotel. We booked last minute and regret it. Had positive experiences with the chain before, but strongly advise avoiding this location.
Not good enough. Never clean.
This is the second time we stay at the Orient and both times we had serious cleanliness and service issues. This time when we checked into our room, it stank of urine. We quickly spotted 3 urine puddles, 2 on the sofa, and a massive yellow one on the rug. We called guest services, and they sent someone who replaced the sofa and removed the rug. It took an hour and during that time we were forced to bend over on all four and smell urine from the floor. The crazy thing was that as far as the hotel was concerned, by replacing the sofa the issue was resolved. Nobody ever followed up with us, nobody offered a resolution, nobody really cared. We didn't even get an apology until we went out of our way to demand one. We complained and eventually got £50 back. We said it wasn't enough but nothing more was offered. Also, the service at the rooftop bar is ABYSMAL. Literally. Nobody there is interested in offering any service to hotel guests, and if you ask for something you get a response that verges on loathing. Really unpleasant woman worked at the bar and the lifeguards are generally rude. It's representative of the issues you'd expect to find at the Orient. It is a beautiful property in a great location, but is so badly managed it actually feels un-managed at times.
perfect
Great Hotel in Jerusalem
Amazing staff and wonderful amenities including a wonderful breakfast
Loved it
A great hotel!
It was a great experience! Exceptional staff!
The property was clean and well maintained. The food was fantastic. The only aspect that was disappointing is that the pool closed at 5pm on Saturday.
I have returned to the Orient Hotel number of times. Every time is special it is my favorite hotel in the Jerusalem area.
The room was not clean
Absolutely perfect location, at the intersection of Bet Lechem and Emek Refaim. A beautiful, modern hotel; room was excellent; public spaces are bright; gym was nice . . . staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Excellent restaurant!! Fantastic place!!
Long time for check in & check put
We also stay at the Orient hotel. We love the area as well.
Clean, accommodating staff And easy check out.
Very modern, clean and great staff
Good location near many restaurants cafes and walkable
New hotel that was very clean. Large breakfast buffet. Very nice bathroom with large tub and separate fancy shower. Two pools- one indoor and one on the roof. Relatively close to the Jaffa gate but we took a taxi and it was hard to get a taxi back. My only complaint is that I drink a lot of coffee in the morning and they refused to bring a pot to the table. They make people order cup by cup so each morning I had to order five cups, one at a time.
Very comfortable bed! Beautiful pool, first class immaculate breakfast buffet, helpful staff
RUDE
FALSE ADVERTSING we booked a room that stated 291 ft with a city view. when we checked in the gave us a room that was 180ft, they claimed that's what we booked . and there was no view at all , it was facing ally way. they were very very rude. they spoke to me like i was an idiot. the employees never smile. on the positive side it is a beautiful hotel
Best hotel in Jerusalem!
Always an outstanding service from Orient. Thank you!
Great experience!
We love coming to the Orient. The Hotel has such a warm ambience which is set by the staff that are friendly and accommodating. From the moment of checkin to when we checked out, the staff was amazing. there was a large amount of staff and they were always helpful. Wonderful breakfast. Breathtaking rooftop view and incredible rooftop pool.
Great hotel.
Beautiful hotel in a great location
Great choice for a Jerusalem stay
Beautiful hotel, rooftop pool with great view, delicious breakfast, convenient location, couldn’t ask for more
Incredible Hotel and Service
Incredible hotel. Have stayed many times and will return again. Every hotel in Israel’s needs to share a page of service and professionalism from the Orient Hotel in Jerusalem. Rooftop pool is simply outstanding. Simply the BEST hotel in Israel.
The service here is superlative. Plan to come back.
Beautiful
wonderful
Excellent in every way!!
Great service and beautiful rooftop views and pool. Food was delicious too
Perfect Stay
Wonderful stay! So refreshing that there arent air diffusers or perfumes sprayed in the public areas or in the rooms....so the air is not toxic. Food is excellent. Staff are attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.
Overpriced, bad room, bad breakfast
Excellent service! Dina from the front desk went above and Beyond to make us happy. Fadi the assistant manager is also amazing he Was so accommodating. It’s service like this that Keeps is coming back!
Comfortable
The property is beautiful. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the room was kept clean. We were upgraded to the heritage 2 building and the unit given was on the ground level which at times led to some outdoor noise - but overall the stay was pleasant. The food is delicious - many options - there is also an indoor pool and spa, in addition to the rooftop pool which is well-maintained and with amazing views.
The Orient Hotel is a beautiful clean hotel run by the most competent professional staff. It’s always my first choice.. the breakfasts are just yummy! I highly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful hotel Parking is expensive
Very nice and convenient
The service was TERRIBLE - certainly not befitting a supposedly 5 star hotel. Arrogant attitude, non responsive - still waiting for the manager to be in touch with me from 3 weeks ago !! Embarrassing incident in the lobby bar in front of my guests. Awful screw up with dinner on the roof top. Definitely would not recommend if youre expecting any level of appropriate service
We were very pleasantly surprised by how spacious the hotel was, as we had never been. We chose it for the location. I booked a garden room (which I normally don't). My only complaint was that my room was next to where the workers have their smoking area outside the hotel. I do not like the smell.
Rotem checked us in and was outstanding. She understood our fairly complicated requirements and rook care that check in was quick and friendly. Would hire her in a second. Concierge desk seemed lazy to me. Staff does not offer to do for guests nor did they look out for us. Would give concierge deak a 5 our of 10. Dining and Chef was outstanding. Really happy with service and food and the sommelier with really good.
You will not be disappointed with a stay here. Great rooms, good location, excellent rooftop pool with a view of the old city. Restaurants are great too. It’s a great option for Jerusalem.
Worth the Visit
Great hotel, near major tourist sites. Wonderful facilities
Friendly staff Gorgeous hotel
It was fine till one night after a trip came to the room to relax but to my surprise the room was not cleaned and after waiting to be cleaned my wife went to wash up and it wasn’t cleaned They offered a free breakfast for my troubles I expected more from a supposedly luxurious hotel
Classy
We liked the style of this hotel. We particularly enjoyed the lobby and ate there several times. The downstairs pool and spa was nice
We love this hotel
Fabulous hotel. The location is wonderful, the staff are courteous and so willing to help and the room was amazing. The breakfast buffet is incredible.
Most supportive staff across the board
Five star stay!
Beautiful hotel however when we checked into our room the bathroom sink was clogged, the mini bar door was wide open. No one checked over our room before we checked in. This was disappointing and quite surprising to us.
Great location and friendly staff. Best breakfast in Jerusalem!
Magical hotel
Amazing staff
Everything was fantastic
Good
The room and the facility were excellent; well-maintained and the staff was helpful when needed. We did not use any hotel amenities or food services so can't comment. We were able to walk to the Jerusalem Old City and back but, although in our 70s, we are good walkers. I mention this because the location may not be great for everyone, although cabs and the bus network were conveniently close. There are also restaurants and basic shopping close by.
Wonderful!
Great place to stay, great breakfast
A quality place to stay. Very well kept. Amazing roof pool and bar with remarkable views of Jerusalem. This is what a hotel is supposed to be like.
Excellent!
O
The pool area beautiful but closes too early 6pm.

Beautiful Hotel. Unbelievable Breakfast. Breathtaking view from the rooftop pool...
It seems that the hotel has yet realized that service level is what makes or breaks a vacation at the level that the Orient is aiming to be at. We had a horrendous check in experience with Rotem, reception assistance manager. Rotem was rigid and inhospitable.
The staff were awful. The service mirrored the staff. The security team were hostile and all in all our stay was disappointing.
