A very pleasant place to stay. We wished we stayed longer.

Good overall stay. Staff was fantastic and breakfast was excellent. The property is a bit rougher around the edges than it appears in pictures, but we liked the decor.

Front staff was super friendly. The location is perfact right in the Hoan Kiem but slightly off busy tourist area. I stayed 2 nights before I go to halong bay, I wish I stayed there whole time.

Staff were very friendly and helpful - couldn't have asked for better. The location is both an boon (centre of old town) and a bane (narrow crowded streets.

The staff are very friendly and sociable, and very informative on arrival giving you a map and tip sheet for the local area. The interior design is colourful and beautifully decorated. I would recommend to any first timers to Hanoi and I would return definitely. The breakfast is plentiful with many choices with friendly staff to help serve you, excellent hospitality!

I cannot say enough good things about the hotel and staff! The roo m was nice with a big bed and all the conveniences. Nice shower, wifi, fridge and coffee maker. Plus staff cleaned the room to perfection. Breakfast was excellent! Had many options to choose from. Hot, cold,fruit plus a made to order menu. The breakfast crew was very nice and the top floor gives you a great view of hanoi. The staff offered help whenever they could. The front door was opened for me when i entered, i had laundry done quickly, and they always said hello and asked me if i was having a good time in Hanoi. I would recommend this hotel for great service at a great price. Its a couple blocks from Hoen Lake and the water puppet theater. It in the heart of the old quarter, but quiet enough when you need to relax. Thanks to all the friendly and helpful staff at Elaina Signature Hotel for a wonderful experience my first time visiting Hanoi and Vietnam.

There were vegetarian options available. Hotel also provided a complimentary cake, fruits and decorated the room for a birthday surprise, very well done.

The staff were amazing and extremely friendly. The location was great. The hotel was doing major construction and was not told of this prior.

The hotel’s location is superb. It is located a few hundred meters from Hoan Kiem lake. It’s a very safe place to stay and visit Hanoi. The room is very clean, and the Wi-Fi is very fast. There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants and souvenirs shop nearby. The hotel has a restaurant on the 8th floor offering excellent Vietnamese dishes. We had free breakfast including excellent Vietnamese soup called Pho, fried eggs, various Vietnamese fruits, coffee, tea, mango juice, … Ms. Thao and Ms. Ngoc Anh (restaurant staff) are very polite and professional, as well as the staff at the reception and travel desk. We will certainly stay here next time we visit Hanoi.

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS !!!! Worst hotel

This was THE WORST hotel I have ever stayed at, and I travel a lot for work and pleasure. The bed was rock hard, there is a loud bar across the street blasting loud thumping music into the early hours of the morning, making it impossible to sleep. The breakfast host PICKED HER NOSE and inspected her find then proceeded to serve my breakfast with those dirty hands. There is no shower curtain in the bathroom, which is a safety hazard as water goes all over the bathroom floor. A man tried to force his way into my room at midnight (there are no peep holes to see who it is) and the hotel said he was "looking for friends in another room" - why did he look me in the eye and push the door open? I am not his friend. He did not know me. They refused to do anything, Eric at the front desk let this man into the hotel. And the worst part, Huong, the front desk woman, SCREAMED at me for over an hour, refusing to assist or refund the rest of my stay, saying there is "no bar or club" and that i was lying, and that the other incidents did not occur, and she refused to help or refund me because, as she yelled at me over and over "they are your FEELINGS!" I told her i would be leaving a bad review, she replied that she'd deny it all. If this happened in the US, Europe she would be fired. This is disgusting, horrendous service, a health and safety violation, and literally the worst hotel stay of my life. I write this out in the hopes of helping my fellow travellers- DO NOT STAY HERE.

Nice boutique hotel in a good location with friendly staff and good restaurant. The street facing rooms are nice (if you can tolerate the early morning traffic noise). The interior rooms are dark and claustrophobic (and not that quiet either).

Excellent value for money, very friendly staff who go out of their way to help you, rooms excellent and clean, such a pleasant stay, thankyou to all staff at this hotel.

Couldn't be bettered

I stayed for one night on three occasions over 2 weeks. Excellent facilities in hotel and room. Hekped with all my onward travel arrangements. Extensive and delicious breakfast. What sets this hotel apart is the wonderful staff. From the moment you step through the door until you leave the service is amazing. Eg accompanied me all the way to my coach on the night train and on my final day diverted my taxi to the airport back to the hotel as i had left my daypack behind and hadnt even realized. Forever grateful. The management should be very proud of all of them. I would definitely stay here again

We booked this hotel mainly for the glowing reviews of staff by others and we wasn’t disappointed staff lovely people so helpful Jasmine / Lucas / Jake / Daniel / Kent to name a few lovely welcome on arrival with drinks and fruits breakfast great selection we booked with Jasmine airport pickup and drop off already waiting for us and on time drop off very close to all the main areas around the old quarter 2 minute walk to lake and 5 mins to busy restaurant area but still very quiet while sleeping I can’t give these guys at the hotel enough praise one of the most welcoming hotels we have ever stayed in down to the smallest of touches even remembering our names when we walk through the lobby well done hope to see you all again soon carl and Dianne 👏👏

We stayed here in November 2019. This is our fifth hotel in Hanoi. The location is great, so close to the lake and central to everything. Your right downtown. There is a small grocery store around the corner and a cafe across the street (we got coffee here). The rooms were okay, the bed was quite hard, but they give you plenty of pillows. The bathroom had hot water and decent towels. The big window in our room was fabulous, you could see right down to the street. The breakfast wasn’t great unless you order from the menu; they offer pho bowls and eggs, get those and skip the hot bar. Also, we didn’t enjoy the coffee, it has a instant flavor to it. For the money, this hotel was pleasing with some interesting quirks.

Located near various attractions and great food. Near the lake where there were much activities and crowd. It’s lively. Also, walking distance to old quarters where eating and drinking is so convenient especially late night.

Central location near to eatery, shops and attraction. Friendly staffs that always serve me with smile and treat me like their friends. They always prompt to answer my queries and gave good recommendation on local food. Will definitely stay here again if I visit Hanoi in future.

Great hotel with 5-star staff

This hotel should be praise by its service and the quality of its staff. They went above and beyond to help us with anything we would need to have a comfortable stay. We stayed one night and later repeated because of the great service and comfortable facilities. It is also conveniently located and it was easy to walk close by. The staff was super helpful booking us taxis from and to the airport and even helping us sending a package from the post office (really, who does that?). Breakfast was delicious and made to order besides a large buffet.

Great Hotel For Your Stay!!!

Our stay was very short but the customer service was phenomenal. The transportation/tour booking went very smoothly. The room met our expectations of comfort and the breakfast offered a variety of dishes that were delicious. We had laundry done and needed it back before leaving the following day, they had it returned to us by the end of the night. I would highly recommend Emerald Waters Hotel Trendy to anyone staying in Hanoi. Very close to many of Hanoi's attractions.

Everyone working at this hotel was very hospitable. Highly recommended and excellent walking distance to most attractions in Hanoi.

Great location, sensational service! This hotel set an all-time record for best and most personal service. (And I have travelled a lot,) The hotel itself is well located in the old town, close to everything. It is in some ways unremarkable, but everything is clean and well maintained. Absolutely outstanding is the service! A new high bar has been set. Everything from always remembering our names to prompt and efficient organisation of tours, transfers, etc. I should also mention that prices for in-room prices are very competitive, so no need to hold back. Highly recommended. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Little gem in old quarter of Hanoi

We loved the staff at emerald waters Trendy. They genuinely care about ensuring your well being and comfort - and truly exemplify the warmth of the people of Hanoi. The room was large and comfy. Breakfast was fantastic each morning with a wide selection including a hot menu. We could walk to all of the bits of old quarter and nip back in when we needed some rest from the heat. The location is so good for all of the old quarter. Highlight would still be the incredible staff. Happy to stay here again

Awesome hotel

This was our second stay and was upgraded to junior suite. Absolutely love Jasmine and the staff for being so kind and attentive. Can't say enough good things about this hotel, location, and staff.

Exceeded our expectations!

Everything about our stay was exceptional. Jasmine in front lobby always made sure that we were enjoying ourselves and helped make arrangements for any excursion. Would highly recommend for service and location.

The staff went out and beyond their way to make our stay great. Food was beyond excellent and there were so many varieties for every category (bread and sandwiches offered were so good). Beds were very comfortable and surroundings were sparklingly clean . We would definitely come back

The staff was especially nice as my friend was sick with vomiting upon arrival. They brought her ginger tea, offered to get medicine from the pharmacy and finally arranged for her to be taken to the international hospital. They also managed to get porridge for her late in the night even though the kitchen was closed. Thumbs up for really excellent service. The room was comfortable and clean albeit small. One thing though, we found an unwashed teaspoon together with the tea cups. Overall a good experience. Will definitely return.

Excellent Staff & Clean Rooms

The staff sat me down during check-in to gather information on all my needs. They arranged a motorbike, airport shuttle, and even brought a delicious smoothie beverage. This place hires some good people. Thanks!

This is a newer resort (6 months old), location is a bit of a distance from the center of town and they do offer a shuttle (times need some work as there is a 4-hour window between times - the town really isn't big enough to spend that amount of time). It is a Thai-based resort, so the theme and staff operate as a Thai resort. Staff is VERY friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel in a good area, but can be noisy

The hotel location is good for shopping and food and is close to the lake. The hotel is older and the rooms on the City View side are noisy (bring earplugs - the ones provided are not clean - found a hair in one of the packages). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their free breakfast is better than equal hotels.

Great location and the staff were excellent, service was impeccable. The room was great, clean, and comfortable and contemporary. We only wished we had a street view from our room (which they do have). We upgraded to a larger room which had a window with no view, but we were more interested in exploring more of Hanoi then staying in the room, so we didn’t upgrade any further. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, great variety, buffet style with made to order items. We would definitely stay here again.

Even though our stay was only for 1 night, the whole experience was superb greatly due to the welcoming and accommodating staff. Their breakfast was varied and tastefully good.

Amazing hospitality from the hotel staff. Very thoughtful and helpful. Assisting us in many ways. We arrived at the hotel in wee hours and the staff allow us to hold our luggage till check in time. It’s the same even for the checking out. From the thoughtfulness of serving us drinks and snacks while at the lobby to guiding us to recommend places around the hotel. I can’t think of anything negative but kudos to the effort of the hotel staff. Definitely worth coming back again.

Perfect stay in hanoi

On arrival the staff are so friendly and welcome you with a drink. We stayed on 3 different occasions, in the space of 8 days, as we travelled to Ha Long Bay and Sa Pa during our stay (not hotel tours). They kindly looked after our luggage. The staff were so helpful when we needed help, all of which spoke good English. Overall fantastic stay!

Clean and spacious room with the best staff

Hotel lobby looks modern and clean with a travel desk to recommend you on places to go, they also have partners for tours to Halong Bay and Sapa. Room is spacious and clean, bed is super comfy, toilet is clean with a bath tub that isn’t too small and water pressure is perfect. Hotel is very near the lake and Hanoi night market, walking distance to popular area in old quarter. Breakfast have a good variety of local food and western food, taste fantastic as well. The staff are really helpful and offers the best service, you’re always greeted with a smile whenever you enter or exit the premise, they provide a detailed map with recommended places to visit and eat in the area, you could feel their genuineness when they ask for your feedback and work hard to provide a better service. During our stay, their neighbours were having construction work which actually starts at 7.30am in the morning, although it affected our sleep but we did not said anything to the staff. During check out, they initiated to explain the construction situation is out of their control and apologise for all the inconvenience. The staff was able to immediately provide service recovery for the noise by offering us free airport transfer service. We were pleasantly surprised by the gesture especially when all of this was an act of their initiative and good service. The hotel emphasises on service and travellers’ stay and experience, will definitely come back to this hotel again.

Stay here, you will love every second.

I would call this place paradise. Everything you expect to call a hotel experience excellent or exceptional is combined here. Location, impeccable facilities, delicious breakfasts, great AC, in the middle of everything and all the action yet peaceful, but the real gem here you will find in its people. I have never been to a place where every single employee greets you with a smile, everyone willing to help you and make sure all your needs and requests are met. For example, I needed a SIM card, they took me themselves to the store. I needed help with day trips they found me better deals than what I found on my own. Unfortunately due to weather conditions I decided to just stay local and I don’t regret. These amazing people would make you feel special, like you matter to them, so stay here, you will love every second. Enjoy their breakfast with yummy bites daily and plenty of fruits. I couldn’t stop eating their passion fruits, their crispy mouth watering spring rolls. Wao. My only regret it’s not having stayed there longer because I booked another city in my trip, big mistake in my part. I could have stayed here my whole two weeks. I was left wishing to stay longer. That’s how much I loved it here. But it’s ok, I will be back. To the owner of Emerald Waters I’d like to say great job hand picking this amazing group of individuals. Thank you.

Amazing and most comfortable hotel experience!

This has to be one the best hotels I have stayed at to date! From the time we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted with nothing but friendly smiles, welcome drinks and such warm hospitality from all the staff. Ms. Grace was so pleasant and wonderful throughout our whole stay, she gladly helped book us one of the tours we wanted to visit the next day. We then went up to our room and we were absolutely impressed! Very clean room, luxury amenities, hot steamy shower/bath and just a really nice feeling to the room overall. The lobby and hallways also smell really good. We ended up staying only one night for our last night in Vietnam, but when we checked out the next day they let us keep our bags at the hotel all day while we were out exploring the city! And upon our evening return, the night staff Jake allowed my husband to take a shower in their public shower to freshen up before heading out to the airport on our long flight. He even offered us fruit drinks and fruit as we waited for our taxi to pick us up. Ken, the bellboy, happily brought us out our drinks with a smile on his face and enthusiastic attitude. And lastly, as we left, they both brought us out some waters for our drive to the airport....like absolutely WOW! From the moment we stepped into the hotel to literally the moment we stepped foot out to leave they wanted to make sure we were nothing but comfortable. Our encounters with both the day and night shift staff was so favorable! Very happy we chose to stay here!

Clean and modern boutique hotel in Old Quarter

Excellent breakfast with a great spread of fresh fruits and local/international food. Clean rooms and in the center of town, just 2 blocks from Hoan Kiem Lake and in the middle of the Old Quarter. Close to lots of local restaurants.

Brilliant staff

Great location for sights, but what makes this hotel is the great staff, particularly those front of house. Very helpful and friendly, with great English. 5 star!

Five stars for the service

The service we received from the hotel's staff was way beyond expectations. They made us feel special and we were treated like if we were in a luxurious hotel. A slight suggestion would be to repaint the walls of the halls and to change the carpet. The floor halls do not reflect the style and cleanness as the lobby or rooms.

So so hotel, great staff but lack in quality.

Messed up my booking and put me in another sister hotel of theirs which was of very poor standards. Basically i paid one night at their hotel rate but was put in a very poor hotel. They promised to put in a better room when i come back but the room was no where near standard. Loud noise at night and loud noise in the morning at 5am when e staff starts working . Very disappointed. Great staff n service n they tried very hard to do service recovery which i appreciate. Will give them another chance only because of service. Room quality definitely not recommended

Old Quarter Hotel With Warm Services

A comfortable hotel located quite nicely in the Old Quarters very close to the Lake....the Double City View room was a little smaller than expected but still comfortable. Good breakfast, wifi and warm services.

Perfect Hotel at the Old Quarters

The stay at the hotel was excellent and all that we wanted. It was very close to the lake and other areas at the old quarters. The rooms and other facilities were exactly as advertised. Very good value for money. The highlight was the staff at the hotel, who were exceptional and made us feel at home. Special shout out to Kelvin, Grace, Jasmine for your hospitality...cám ơn!! We wish we had come back to stay at your hotel after our trip back from Halong Bay. :) The restaurant had a beautiful view and had delicious variety of breakfast options. The staff here were warm and friendly too Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable stay.

Gem within the Old Quarter!

Such a great stay. Grace and the staff were so lovely and their hospitality was excellent. The rooms and bathroom are a good size and they refresh the toiletries every day for you. It is walking distance to everywhere we went to, including the french quarter and is right within the old quarter - however in a quiet street away from the backpackers. We used the taxi service from the hotel and also had a great vietnamese traditional massage at 40% off. Breakfast was great! Has a buffet and also made to order menu all included. Lastly, on our last day we left early in the morning and they arranged for us to have a take away breakfast to eat on the way to the airport. We will be back again! Thank u!

What a find!

Our group of four women loved our hotel. The staff was outstanding! Not only did they arrange an airport pick-up but they also arranged a walking street food tour that was the highlight of our Hanoi visit. In addition they arranged a car & driver for us to travel to Ninh Binh, AND they did a follow up phone call to see if all was well. Most impressive. The breakfast buffet was wonderful & most generous. The location could not be better. Beds were great. Showers hot. It was a wonderful stay and I would recommend the hotel to family & friends.

Long Business Trip

I was in Hanoi for a long business trip (10 days) The staff was great at making me feel welcome without overdoing their hospitality. The room with balcony was perfect because it gave me the feeling of space that I really need after a few days in the same hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide choice of fruits. The hotel location is great because after a long day of work I could just walk to any restaurant.

Excellent stay - but worth noting noise levels

The accommodation was excellent and the staff were incredible. Only thing I would mention is the noise level - while the location is great and central, the noise (general traffic etc) can be a bit much, but the hotel provides earplugs to help. I would not say this is a negative comment but it is worth noting.

Great hotel in the Old Quarter

We had a comfortable stay with a really friendly staff. Our room was clean and quiet, with a big window overlooking the street but high enough from the noise. Bathroom and shower were great. The breakfast buffet was very good, and a convenient way to start the day. The buffet had a mix of western and Vietnamese dishes every morning, plus made to order eggs, omelettes, and waffles. The staff are so sweet and helpful. They even gave us a going away gift (really yummy sticky rice cakes) at check out. I highly recommend staying at the Emerald Waters Trendy.

Nice Hotel and Exceptional Services

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel was modern, clean and roomy. The beds were very comfortable. It locates in an excellent location. The staff services were excellent!!! Grace, sale manager, provided me many useful tour information when I booked the Ha Long Bay and Tam Coc tours. All tours turned out to be excellent choices. Jasmine and Anna showed me all the good restaurants and ways to get around the area. Calvin always answered my questions with a smile. My family had a great time in Hanoi. HEW team did a great job...

A definite recommend!

Excellent location, central yet quiet, although that may be partly due to v small windows! Our daughters room only had a window onto the stairwell, but all in all I would definitely go back - the staff were lovely!

Excellent service and value of money

We 4 people stayed at the hotel for three nights during Christmas holidays. On the first day, the hotel arranged a comfortable van with reasonable price to pick up us at the airport. On the second day, we requested a van for private city tour in Hanoi. The price is also unbeatable. The third day, the hotel recommended us for a day trip to Ha Long Bay and it was really fun. Besides, the breakfast provided by the hotel is excellent especially for “Pho”. A really great hotel with fantastic services and so convenient. Breakfast is great with very good range of food and the coffee is very nice.

From check in to check out, stay experience is awesome , breakfast is outstandingly comprehensive . Complaint on weak WiFi capacity was immediately rectified; location is great too. Staff services are great !
