Solid 3.5* hotel right on the beach
Great location
Our go to hotel in Tel Aviv!!
Great location on the beach
Our stay at the Orchid Hotel
The hotel was perfect. Very clean, good breakfast, nice pool. Very nice staff.
great view and great service
Good hotel
Nice place to stay
This was a great choice for us. We wanted to be close to the beach and the location was great. Quiet and comfortable
Perfect
The room was nice, updated, and the perfect location on the beach......set right between Yaffo and the Tel Aviv port.
Beach front property that is conveniently close to business center.
The building is stylish and well-equipped. Photos in rooms and corridors showing the history of Tel Aviv are outstanding. Orchid is the least convenient hotel in which have stayed. The need to take two lifts, not even adjacent to each other, to get from rooms to dining room, pool or beach exit is just unacceptable. Furthermore, staff made not the slighest effort to explain this extraordinary complexity when I checked in, no written guidance was available in the room, and much of my time was waisted as a result. I would never stay in Ocrhid again or recommend it - that's a shame because it had some very good features.
Outdated but staff is very friendly. Breakfast buffet is very nice.location is very convenient. I don’t know if I stay there again maybe yes maybe no they definitely need some reservations.
Great experience
.
This is my second stay. They are warm and welcoming and many of the staff are the same from my stay in 2019. It is the perfect location for beach, mall, shuk, Jaffa, walking, restaurants. The room was clean early daily. They have cookies and drinks and newspapers complimentary. The views are amazing. They act like they are welcoming you into their home. Orren and Ari and the front desk and cleaning staff are all exceptional. The rooms are large with lots of sunlight and nice bathrooms. Lots of restaurants nearby.
Staff very friendly. Breakfast amazing
Great location and service
Comfortable and clean room. Hotel were very good in accommodating us for an early check in.
Location is good Safety lock on door to suite didn't work & water leaked on bathroom floor from shower door
Great place to stay in Tel Aviv
Room for improvement
Our room was nice with great ocean views however most of the common areas of the hotel were not clean and kept up. They really need better management who is more detail oriented
The outdoor balcony space was very pleasant.
The beach location is very good. We arrived early but the room was ready so they allowed us to check in which was very helpful after the journey. The room was clean and in good order. We were very happy with our stay
Very close to the beach
Superb Stay
Exceeded my expectations. User friendly.. Convenient location. Excellent service.
Stay away
Booked a deluxe room with balcony was given a room that was so run down walls were covered in black mildew balcony was so filthy and dirty hotel did nothing to accommodate a change or allow any sort of refund to cancel I would not recommend this hotel to anyone
Do not stay here
Wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Stayed for 2 nights (friday and Saturday). The hotel pool was over run with teenagers drinking alcohol and playing loud music. There were glass bottles of spirits in the pool which was incredibly dangerous. The hotel manager came out to address the group but found the situation funny. In the evening - the room service team were still cleaning/hoovering rooms at 10pm which was loud and antisocial. Breakfast was poor - wasn’t any hot food either Saturday or Sunday morning which for the price paid is incredibly poor.
Great location and facilities and staff was very helpful
Air conditioner didnt work well and there was a smell... shower didn't work well... water kept going from hot to cold and shower head kept falling... when i told the people in the lobby the guy literally said "yea so". Paid alot of money for the room and was not worth it at all
nice place, clean, great and helpful staff. one of the best locations in Tel Aviv.
Wonderful staff, right on the beach, a very clean high end place.
Centrally located hotel Very friendlyesyaff
The hotel to old
Wonderful location, right on the beach, and close to restaurants and shops. Comfortable bed, spaceous room, excellent Israeli breakfast buffet.
Location of the hotel is fantastic and really in the Herat of Tel Aviv Beach area and great shops/ restaurants within walking distance. Great view of the beach and great access to beachfront shops and walks by the sea. What was most disappointing was my arrival at the hotel ! The 2 receptionist made no effort to ask us how are journey was and did we have a safe trip ! I asked that I had put a request for a sea view room and they said abruptly that there non available and I had not booked directly with that hotel to allow me to have a room, even though I had sent them a email to their hotel website before trip to ask for it ! Ben the receptionist was showing no interest in welcoming us and was a shocking employee of the hotel, working with customers who should be treated with warmth and respect. We then asked the room to be changed as there was smoking next room and again on asking for another room, a very negative attitude from Vincent who said that they were fully booked and made no effort to say I will come to the room to find out himself the smell ! Eventually he managed to relocate us to another room! Whenever we came back to the hotel from our travels all the staff in the reception area / bar were very uninterested in saying hello and very united in seeing what is in their mobile phones, rather then taking some time out to say hello and smile! I found that Ben the receptionist was most abrupt and rude to the point, which made me feel unwelcome. DISAPPOINTING
Olga at the front desk found us a room to be able to check-in early after having spent a night at the airport. Extremely helpful and considerate.
like : location hotel is outdated with minimal accommodations.
Clean, Comfortable and Cheery
A clean, comfortable, well positioned beach front hotel in Tel Aviv. Friendly staff, nice views of the city and waterfront. Beds and linen most comfortable, bathrooms well stocked with ammenities
We love the hotel.
Was nice no frill hotel really nice people who work there hotel is a little old and dirty but was nice
location
Nice location and hotel
Really nice hotel with good atmosphere. Friendly staff and OK condition. My only minus was the pool was busy loads of garbage and bird poo.
This place needs a complete renovation and a change in attitude. My room was dirty and two of the lights were out. When I asked that the room be properly cleaned and the lights fixed, my request was ignored. Nothing was done at all. When I went to pick up something under a desk, I found my hands filled with dust and crumbs. Much of the working staff made no attempt to wear masks. Even the front desk people did this grudgingly (and barely). And when I got out of the elevator I was promptly greeted by a giant mattress that was protruding from a service door — for most of my stay!
We very much enjoyed our stay. Parking was an issue as the hotel provided parking lot is very small.everything else was very pleasant. The reception desk was very friendly and helpful especially someone by the name elan I think his name was.
F
Was a great location for tel aviv city. On the costs close to all places friendly stuff amazing breakfast. Recommend to everyone
dont come near
i wont recomand this hotel to no body the room was horrbile not clean with lots of noise from the outside so we couldnt sleep all night they lie about parking area - so need to pay to outside parking (and the parking cost a lot in tel aviv) breakfast was horrible bread was very hold
I expected better
Room service was awful , we got the room with dirty pillow and sheets , we put the dirty pillows on the floor so the room service can see it and change it .The next day we came into the room and the pillow was still on the floor , they did not renew the water bottles and the coffee and we got only half the towels we should get .we went to the lobby and complained about what happened and they sent us new sheets, water and towels.... we paid for the parking there is no place to park in the hotel's parking only close to midnight.overall the location was good but we are never coming back
Good +
The hot water in the shower was not stable
Beach and Sunsets are amazing
Great hotel for the money
Great potential - got age symptoms
Got a room with a big potential. Pros: - Big Balcony - beautiful view - Big TV - Big shower - Great location near the beach Cons: - Almost in every place the paint is peeling off. - The door to the balcony is covered with stains - air condition panel is hardly working the shower is big
Escape the busy life into a unforgettable one
Amazing stay , very nice location, close to everything you need , one minute walk to the beach even make it better stay, absolutely we will go back 💕💕
very good; there were useful facilities like refrigerator and favourable location - near beach.
You said you provide parking and we didn’t get one we had to use paid parking off site . It’s the only thing we didn’t like...
Good value for current prices
The location is great, rooms were clean but the service wasn't professional. They didn't answer the lobby phone multiple time (which is an issue when they open parking gate), had to argue to get second set of clean of towels. For what I paid was good, but I hope for them they will find ways to improve their service, because the rest is fine
Where do I begin? Expedia rate entitled me to back-of-the-hotel status; no view, rooms in bad shape -- basically, a worn Holiday Inn. Broadband was too weak for me to get CNN for more than a few minutes. Shower wasn't sealed properly so there was a leak. Toilet seat was broken. Took over 20 minutes to get the waitress at the bar-restaurant to take my order. Ordered 2 appetizers that go together; they arrived 20 minutes apart. Basically, it took me an hour to get salad & hummus. Avoid this place if you can. Not much to crow about....
Average - just beware of the change/cancel policy
I found the hotel OK - as a man on a business trip. I had a standard room which it seems is in the old tower block behind and left of the main hotel block. It was old. décor and fittings were fine but old. TV was not HD though despite what it said. I was intending to stay there again but my trip changed and that's when I found the horrible cancellation policy which is not just a cancelation, but a change policy as well. Doesn't matter what you do, you will be charged 30% for doing it, change or cancellation. Even if you wanted to upgrade your room, room difference plus 30% of your total stay value. Which is frankly a criminal way to treat your guests. I stayed there 13 nights so the charge was not minimal. 30% to change your booking... give me a break.
So far the only hotel that i had to pay for parking over 20 eu per 24 hours
False advertisement
never told us the hotel was under construction. The entire stay was horrible. Couldn’t have the sleep and stay we were looking for. Very bad.
Incredible Breakfast
I was only there for two nights but the morning breakfast buffet was incredible the two mornings I had it. Thank you for such a great start to each day!
very nice but expensive
Very nice place near the center and the beach ,excellent gym, free bicycles, excellent breakfast.
This property is really a 3-star property at best. The location is great but there are a lot of other options on the promenade with nicer rooms and amenities. The bar is not really a bar and there is no restaurant after breakfast even though they have some food options on the bar menu.
Location is incredible. I was upgraded to a room with a balcony facing the water on floor 13. Made my stay fabulous as I sat out there a lot. Perhaps thicker bigger towels would be nice and a clock in the room. Also couldn’t figure out how to turn on the lamps.
I had an early check in at the hotel and was greeted with Shalom! And a beautiful smile! My hat goes off to OREN....who got me into my room before 11A, smoothly and effortlessly. The staff was quick to pick up the phone when I called and able to fulfill every request. They coordinated a taxi at the unworldly hour of 2:15a with no hiccups. STRONGLY recommend this property! It’s beautiful., locations is incredible and the staff really made my brief stay perfect!
Happy with my experience
Stayed in the dreaded single room next to service elevator. However was quite happy with the room as that is what is to be expected. Cleaning up was great always available to clean when I asked late afternoon and bring towels promptly. As well manager offered me fantastic late checkout. Very happy with my experience and service.
The bed was really comfortable and the deluxe room balcony view was really beautiful—you can’t beat that seafront view!
Great Location - Beach
This is a really nice hotel located right next to the beach in Tel Aviv. Great mini-suite room with excellent bed and view of the water. Caution for non-Jewish travels: the Orchid is a Kosher hotel so over the weekend expect some changes ... one elevator stops at every floor w/o pushing buttons, no hot food or drinks from the restaurants until after sundown on the Sabbath. Even so, we would stay there again. Nice place.
Best Balcony and views in Tel Aviv
Our second stay in this hotel - we liked it because of its very central location, it is right on the beach, and if you go for a Deluxe room you get a massive balcony with an uninterupted view of the sea ( big enough to have loungers as well as chairs !) Friendly staff - Vincent is one of the best - and an amazingly comprehensive breakfast . But ....avoid the main tower. Only offer sideways beach views ! And the fabric of the building is showing its age. Carpets a bit threatbare, tiling on balcony chipped, and a bit low tech.
It was great! hotel worked with us after check out making it easy to take advantage of the dat until my flight time.
There are nice people, and hotel location is good for trip!
Single rooms in many properties are the worst, tiniest, pokiest rooms that you can imagine. The Orchid's single rooms are a decent size, have king size beds, and mine even had a sea view. Location is fantastic, very central, directly opposite Bograshov beach, with easy access via the hotel car park. Great breakfast buffet.
Well situated, right at the beach. Friendly staff and perfect breakfast. The only hick-up was the internet on 16th floor. When it was working it was very slow, impossible to make a skype call. I saw the technician several times but without any improvement. The wifi on the other floor was ok according other people.
Nice hotel on tel aviv beach friendly staff good breakfast clean rooms
Outdated hotel, poor service, disgusting pool area
Dreadful experience - outdated hotel, rude staff, filthy and crammed pool area. Swimming pool is not as presented on hotels.com - those are computer generated images of a pool that does not look like that. It's also very dirty - cigarette ends, tissues, all sorts of litter around it. And good luck finding a sunbed - they all get nabbed at 7am by the resident chainsmokers. Staff don't acknowledge you and look like they are being held captive, they all look terrified! Rooms are ok cleanliness wise to be fair...aside from the rubbish under my bed and the human hair ball nestled into my "clean" towels in my bathroom. Location is good. That's about the main redeeming factor. Plenty of food options at breakfast, if you have the patience to queue to get in the room
Friendly.
Perfect location for the beach and local restaurants. Very comfy beds.
Okay hotel
Staff was helpful. Hotel was a bit rundown. My room was not great. Low floor facing construction site. I asked to be moved and they did not accommodate me. Overall, the hotel is okay. Location great next to beaches.
The hotel was okay but getting a room was very differcult and the front desk was just as bad.
It was good the breakfast was wonderful and the service was excellent
Location location location
Excellent service friendly staff very attentive. Will definitely go back. For me the location was key. Centre to everything.
Perfect
Perfect amount of everything
Overall an enjoyable stay. A bit confusing with the different lifts to different parts of the hotel. Had an issue with leaking air conditioning unit in the bathroom but was quickly resolved. Plenty of choice for breakfast and very tasty. Would stay here again in the future.
Signed up for non-smoking room and the entire floor, including my room, smelled like cigarette smoke. The pool was too crowded to even find chairs and closed very early.
The hotel looked much much nicer online. When I pulled up at hotel I was disappointed in the condition of the premises. Upon checkin i asked if my room had 2 twin beds as promised. The guy behind the desk he would assume so and this is was last room in hotel so if not they could do nothing about it. I proceeded to bring our luggage up to room to find a tiny room with a one double bed. We went back down to lobby and the gentleman said he could do nothing about it. We ended up getting out $$$ and found a diffenrt hotel to stay in. Would not recommend this hotel I never write reviews but had to here. !!
This hotel is right next to the glorious beach, so it's a great location. My room was clean and in good condition; there were tea making facilities and toiletries. However, the room was next to the elevator and housekeeping closet, so a little bit of noise from time to time.
Never Book his hotel - Rude Staff and small rooms
We were greeted with nothing but a single word 'Passport' with no 'Hello' or 'Welcome' at all. One particular member of staff working on reception called Vincent manged to deliver without doubt the worst customer service and communication i have ever received. He was both rude, aggressive and arrogant. When we asked to speak to his manger he just grunted, the manager did eventually arrive and was actually no better than the rest of his staff, obviously he does the customer service training. The rooms were not ready at 3pm (the point you start paying for the room) and we were told they might not be for several hours with absolutely no apology. When we did get one our of two rooms the receptionist handed the key over with the words "you're lucky there not normally ready until 7pm". The hotel is in a good location for the beach, but their pool is completely over crowded at the weekends and nowhere near the size it looks in the pictures, clever photography. The rooms are small and basic, even though we paid to upgrade - complete waste of money - Don't book this hotel In the same location there are numerous good hotels - We eventually checked out and went to the Dan Hotel (1 min walk away ) where the staff and hotel were amazing.
Ok breakfast
Breakfast was ok
Nice rooms, pool, and breakfast buffet, but....
The hotel was in overall, good. But some areas of it require a bit of an overhaul/update, like the swimming pool area/showers. Room was very clean and nice. Breakfast buffet is very good. But the AC controls inside the rooms is very low quality and outdated - it wakes you up 100 times a night to blow for 10 seconds and then it stops... Some of the hotel staff need to change their mindset towards the guests and their surroundings. We experienced staff blocking the elevators/hallways a couple of times, which ended us having to wait very long for the elevators or walk up the stairs. Also, the lobby/swimming pool bar had very limited no. of alcoholic spirits - I couldn't even order a mojito. Waiters were just "doing their job" instead of showing interest in serving you and solving your request. The lobby was also understaffed at times and Wifi was very very bad in our room.
Need to improve for price range.
The hotel is pretty good and it is in a great location. However, it is too expensive for some things that were not at the level of the charged price. For instance, the elevators were constantly blocking in a building with 18 floors.
Most of Staff not very friendly!
Most of the staff were not very friendly, this put me off staying at this hotel. However the facilities were okay. Room was fine.
Unprofessional lobby staff on check out There was no in-room dining menu and I had to ask specially for a menu just to discover the very poor selection. After ordering the food quality was as poor. Disappointing :-(
Orchid Hotel
Small room. Nice area. Average breakfast. Reception staff seemed more interested in their mobile phones. Didnt seem to see value in engaging with guests. Breakfast was nice but average in comparison to what you would get at one of the brand hotels.
Very enjoyable stay over Passover- would recommend
I had an excellent stay at the Orchid Hotel for 2 weeks! Conveniently located in Tel Aviv across from the beach, with a beautiful view, modern and clean rooms, delicious breakfast and great customer service. Would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful sea view. Wonderful lobby to sit in. Great breakfast
Rooms very small, no clock and no iron in the room, no fool size mirrow in the room. Very poor buffet, dirty dishes

Lack of accountability of desk staff when they charged VAT by mistake. When reimbursed the VAT in shekalim it caused a loss of dollars in my credit card. I ended losing money for a mistake that was not mine. Only answer I got is "I am sorry"
