Oltrarno Splendide is aptly named. wonderful hotel, staff, location. helped us secure difficult last-minute reservations. we highly recommend this place.

Quirky, Original, Fab

Quirky! Original! Fab! These are just a few of the words I would use to describe this 7-room hotel. In addition, it is located in a great part of the city as far from the madd(en)ing crowds as possible in this jubilee year with Easter and good weather approaching. Davide and the rest of the staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. Did I mention the toy cars and dinosaurs?

Best Service and Experience I have ever had. Staff was great, room was great, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Great location and the room was unique and beautiful. We'll be back!

Beautifully, quirky hotel. The service was that of a 5 star hotel. I stayed for 5 days and felt like I was staying with friends. Bed was very comfy.

I spent 5 nights at this hotel in July, and I absolutely loved my stay here. Very convenient location. The hotel itself is amazing!! The bed is firm, the room is spacious, the staff is helpful and friendly. Their breakfast options are wonderful- choices of fresh croissants, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, etc - just fantastic! I hope to have a chance to return to Florence and stay here again.

We had a warm greeting upon arrival and the staff were always friendly and attentive. Room was very comfortable and clean. Quiet place to come “home” after walking around during the day. The breakfast was great. Snacks were left for guests to enjoy at night too. Location was convenient to the bridge and many restaurants and bars nearby.

This is a beautiful historic B&B. The staff was very kind to us. The breakfasts were excellent, and they had tea, fruit, and cake available all day for snacking. We came during the slow season, so they upgraded our rooms. We loved the bathtubs, and the beds were very comfortable. We’d definitely come back next time we visit.

This place is a hidden gem in one of the best places in Florence! Don’t miss giving it a try! The staff were absolutely fabulous and made my stay so welcoming! I would recommend this place to couples needing a weekend or week away! Truly a relaxing to place to unwind and relax!

This beautiful hotel is one of our favorites we’ve ever stayed in! We had the room upstairs and it was so gorgeous and comfortable. David was so welcoming and kind. We absolutely loved everything about this place. It was also right in the city center, easy to walk to historic sites and great local cafes and bars. We hope to stay here again one day!

We had a fabulous stay! The hotel has a quirky fun style and the room was really spacious and comfortable. The location was great for walking everywhere in Florence and we got great recommendations for nearby restaurants. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful!

Lovely stay in typical Italian b and b

We started with a lovely welcome from Alberto who was very informative and gave us recommendations of typical Italian and local restaurants to visit which were much appreciated and used. All staff were friendly David was also very informative too taking us through the map again of the area - as don’t know how but we kept getting lost ha ha The room was clean and quirky and the bed was comfortable the only thing that was missing was a makeup And hair mirror near a plug other than in the bathroom but there was a hairdryer and also an iron and an ironing board - Oltrano is away from the hustle and bustle but also close enough to be in it !

I was bowled over by this beautiful modern hotel, part of a typical Florence building. Full of character the hotel is situated within walking distance of the major sites. The availability of refreshments throughout the day was a definite plus after spending the day touring

EXCELLENT SERVICE AND LOCATION

Oltrarno Splendid is the perfect location for your Florence visit. Walking distance close to all attractions, restaurants and bars. You can count also with Alberto and his staff to take care of your needs during your stay. He is a kind person and really makes you feel at home and safe. Breakfast was included and don't miss it, try the vegan croissants that do not taste vegan at all. Each room is unique in design so make sure to ask before you book if you desire a specific room from the pictures. I want to mention and thank Alberto for his friendly attentions and for making our Florence visit a memorable one.

Friendly staff, clean, comfortable. Great breakfast, lounge w/ coffee and croissants. Even upgraded our room for free to a top suite with views of the Duomo and a few of the other towers and churches in the area. Easy short walk to Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi gallery, Boboli gardens, Bruenellechi’s dome. Had an amazing stay!

Splendidly stylish hotel

A splendiferous stay in a cool part of Florence. Enjoyed every minute of our room, the small touches were spot on - every inch of this hotel is a gallery for the eyes. Excellent service from Davide and the staff. We cannot thank you all enogh for making our stay so memorable!!! We will be back.

Staff is exquisite and hotel is unique and beautiful!

The check-in was so easy, as well as warm and welcoming. Staff was very helpful in taking us to our room and then booking us a taxi. Service and hospitality is on par, and makes me believe in the industry again. The room was historic, artsy and most important the giant king size bed was comfortable. The shower heads had excellent water pressure and the bathtub was fun and pampering. The location was excellent- away from the busyness of the touristy areas but still close to major sites. All in all, a fantastic hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and again.

Perfect stay in Florence

Such an amazing stay! We arrived late and were provided with clear instructions to check-in ourselves. The mattress and pillow were extremely comfortable (more on the firm side which we preferred). Clean huge room, great service and breakfast. Location is perfect for exploring Florence! Only complaint is the shower was poor water pressure and spraying inconsistently. The water also got all over the bathroom floor.

Lovely hotel with incredibly friendly staff. Room was a great size and unique in style. Plenty of great bars and restaurants nearby.

We ended up staying in their sister hotel Ad Astra as the Oltrano Spendid was under renovation. It was lovely!

What a surprise. David an amazing and helpful concierge. Renovated rooms king size beds as in the United States. What a great surprise. Great free breakfast included. Free drinks in the mini bar. Everything you need in the perfect location. Missed one item though. A washcloth in the shower!

Oh - My - Goodness! What a wonderful place. We we’re excited about our stay from the get go. But, once we arrived we quickly discovered that every one of our expectations were exceeded. The room was amazing, and each one of our 3 nights there we discovered a new detail that endeared us even more. The entire facility has its own unique personality that will keep you fascinated your entire time. Plus, you simply cannot beat the location - close enough to walk essentially everywhere, but not in a busy tourist neighborhood. A stones throw away from Santo Spirito, you fell as though you are in the middle of a local neighborhood where the real day-to-day routines take place. Locals enjoying their local Tratorrias, and the crowd favorite pizza from Gustapizza (OMG amazing). Aside from all of the above, the entire staff is comprised of the kindest, most generous people you can meet. Happy to assist with absolutely anything, make dinner reservations at family restaurants where they not only want to feed you, but they want to learn your name and get to know a little about you. Clearly, there are many wonderful places one can stay in Firenze. But, if a room is available here we suggest you grab it immediately.

This place exceeded all of my expectations. Beautiful room, friendly and attentive staff, amazing breakfast every morning. I can not recommend enough. If you don't mind being a 5-10 minute walk from the main tourist attractions, this place is perfect.

What a wonderful stay. It was a great base to explore the city of Florence during my 3 day stay in the area. The staff was so friendly and did everything they could to make me feel welcome. As a solo traveler, it felt like a little home away from home. The room was very spacious and was more than enough room for one or two! It felt like my own studio sized place. I appreciated the curated design of both the rooms and the hotel itself. Such a stylish and beautiful place. Great breakfast. A 10-12 minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella station, central to nearby attractions and within steps away from great places to eat and excellent gelato. I was always about 15 minutes away from most anywhere in Central Florence. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone traveling into Florence.

the Prices were to high for the condition of the hotel. The staff was very nice but hat did not make up for rooms that need repairs. The chairs were broken with padding coming out of the cushions. The brick floor was too rustic. I did not enjoy the experience and did not think it was good value. The breakfast was okay but not at par with other hotel stays.

The property was beautiful! The decor was a delicate fusion between old and new. Right in the heart of Florence we were moments away from exploring the city each morning as we stepped out of the hotel and into the cobbled streets. A lovely calm atmosphere here to help unwind after a day of exploring. The owners had everything covered!
