The Odalys was a good location. A shopping mall across the road, walkable to the cathedrals and dining options. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was exactly as shown
The property looks outdated and is located in an area with abandoned buildings.
Not what it says in the web…
Thanks for the friendly people who works there, mainly the guy in the front desk from Togo, I don’t remember his name but he was very nice explaining everything
This hotel definitely gives “youth hostel” vibes. The lobby reminds me of a medical facility in a not-so-great part of town. The staff were friendly and helpful, but when I asked for a second key, they said they didn’t have enough cards to give us one. They did, however, give us a free bag of delicious gingerbread cookies. The room had dirt around the baseboards and dust on the back of the couch. At first the sink wouldn’t drain, but I managed to fix the plug (so it worked after that). The shower leaked absolutely everywhere each time you used it. Look, if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay in Strasbourg, this will do the trick. But if you want a hotel experience, keep looking.
My wife and I stayed at this apartment in Strasbourg in early December. To be fair, the accommodation was adequate and not as poor as previously noted on other reviews. We were even given a free gift of Christmas treats upon arrival. However, the property took a pre-authorisation as a deposit on the room we'd booked. When we left two days later, there was no issue and we were told the pre-authorisation would be automatically cancelled. This has not been the case. We contacted the property through the Expedia communication channel and have been told that there was no issue on departure but there is an issue with the accounting system. We were told the amount would not be posted to our account and that it will take a minimum of 15 days to clear. On contacting our credit card company we have found this not to be the case and the deposit has been actually posted to our account. We've contacted Expedia, the member of staff was hugely supportive of our concerns and contacted the property. We are now told is may take up to a month to recover the monies that were taken as a pre-authorisation. We are left hugely disappointed by this unnecessary situation. In essence, the pre-authorisation should never have been progressed. Needless to say, my wife and I are left with the annoying situation of chasing monies with the property. On this basis, we would find it very difficult to recommend this property to other Expedia customers.
The property is above average price wise but the furniture is torn and peeling. Offering coffee/ tea but no milk is inconvenient, again given the price paid. The staff were really lovely. The breakfast was great.
Great hotel, close to everything. Room was just a little chilly, had trouble controlling the temperature. But otherwise a great place to stay. Had everything we needed. Would stay here again.
Okay
Quite a good stay on the outskirts of the old town
Room wasn’t clean,
Miserable staff, miserable facilities: miserable
Miserable experience. Was put in a disabled access room with two single beds together. Poor quality furnishings and in a miserable location.
Ok stay!
The property is very dated, and if you have to pay for each additional towel. They only provide 1 floor towel, 1 hand and bath. The street the property is on is worn down, dirty with many vacant and run down store fronts. As a female solo traveler, I did not feel safe to go outside after dark.
It's old and worn out. Sofa squeaked incessantly and kitchen facilities with basic but in disrepair and inconvenient to use.
Property seems to be getting a bit dated. Room was small and there was no wardrobe with limited cupboard space for clothes. There was a large pillar between the bed and kitchenette area which made things very awkward - both for using the kitchen area and moving around the room. The location was very good for the railway station and visiting the old town, but didn't feel very safe returning there at night.
Very old building and furnishings. Cheap and dirty. Staff was rude and despite noting they are English speaking would treat me and my kids as if they didn't understand. Do not recommend. Lived and worked in Europe before. Reminded every time I return why I chose not to remain.
We really enjoyed the unit we rented. Happy we were able to drop off our luggage earlier than the check in time so we could check out the city
This apartment-hotel was in a great location for Strasbourg, and very walkable to the old town area by the cathedral, and the river. The suites were spacious and clean, and the front desk employees were very helpful. It's a little tricky following GPS to get to the front door in a car, because the road signs will make you think you're not allowed to go a certain direction down the street, but after we figured that out, we were fine. The parking garage for the lodging is actually one block parallel to the main entrance. I would stay here again!
If you need more towels you have to pay for them and your room is not cleaned during your stay. There was no tea or coffee on arrival and we ran out of toilet paper. The pool was not very clean with very cloudy water.
Stay in Strasbourg
Small pool, cold and within the room a cot used to serve as second twin bed for a family of four. Uncomfortable
Toilet seat broken.
It’s overrated. Don’t wast your money
Property was clean and tidy and good for a nights stop over.
Apartment was spacious. Location is walking distance to the main station and sites. Good transport connections, if needed. No fuss check-in, check-out and left luggage.
Very helpful staff and fantastic location. The room was comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay again.
Nice place in Strasbourg
We had a great stay at the Odalys Green Marsh! Our room was clean and large, WiFi worked well, and the location between the train station and old city of Strasbourg was perfect for us. It was also nice to be so close to a mall, which we used several times for food and other things we needed. A very nice stay! Very basic but absolutely met our needs.
Practical, basic place with good bathroom and a kitchen that would allow a longer stay. Not much room but I did fine. Pol is very small but it's nice ti have one. Not a glamorous area but one can walk or tram from the main station easily staff were very friendly though the first woman I dealt with rather brusquely insisted on returning English to my French. Who knows, maybe she functions n Alsatian. Walk a few blcoks radius and you'll find better food options, including bakeries and cafés, then are immediately evident. I would stay here again.
Well position- near to stations. , shopping centre and within walking distance to all the famous attractions. Did not like the carpark - getting in and out is like an escape game - rather convoluted.
I was an easy walk to the Center and everyone was friendly and helpful
Place was super close to everything and location is 10 of 10
Value for money
Value for money well located close to restaurants and bars
Comfortable bed. Pleasant and helpful staff. V central location near tram and v close to Les Halles. Air con is loud but effective.
Very good location close to the train station. Unique stairwell to the upper floors...yes...they do have a nice elevator. Water pressure was poor and the Internet was spotty. Kept getting kicked off WiFi.
Very clean and comfortable. Close to town and a mall
Never again
Parking is a joke, when you find it you have to get 2 lifts to the hotel. Room did not look like on the internet, did not feel clean and had about 5 inches to manoeuvre round the side of the bed. Unable to use TV as no remote Room next to the lift, which was going all night so did not get any sleep. Pool had to be reserved and on inspection was tiny and the area was dirty. Booked for two nights but left after 1.
Modern hotel in the city’s main railway station neighborhood, very close to the historic center of the city. However the room and the hallways are not clean .
Fantastic location and a very spacious apartment. The dusting of the apartment and provisions in the bathroom could have been better but on the whole we were very pleased. Would definitely stay there again.
Overall a very nice stay!
Very nice apartment style room with mini kitchen. Very quiet and comfortable. Only minus was cleanliness. Floors were very dirty. Also toilet seat was cracked and had been glued. Staff questioned us when we reported it as if we had broken it. The location was close to the train station and the downtown Christmas markets.
Not 4 Star
Paid for and stayed in a "superior apartment" but not quite sure what made it superior? It was a room with a bed, bathroom, TV and a cupboard that housed a small fridge, microwave and two ring stove top. The room was only serviced once during our three night stay and we were questioned as to why we wanted clean towels on day three!! One of the key points that made us go for this hotel was the pool and steam room, however on arrival we were made aware that we could only use these facilities for one hour periods via reservation at the front desk. On top of this we were only allowed to reserve twice during our three night stay. Location was ok and only 15 minutes walk to the cathedral square and 10 minutes from the main railway station but the street that the hotel is located on is a little dubious especially after dark with many homeless/street living people around.
Property was greatly located near the center of activities and the train station. The room was clean but not to my liking. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The internet access was horrible, and they had been experiencing issues during my stay.
Our room was very comfortable, however we had trouble with getting on and staying on the internet. Everything was French and being an American, i could not read it well enough to know what to do. Parking was good. Would stay here again. Very reasonable.
This property is more like a hostel than a hotel. They show a picture of a pool but if you want to use it, there's an upcharge. Do you want to park in their parking garage? Better have made a reservation previously because we were told that's necessary. Want breakfast? Pre-order because you can't decide in morning. The location is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the old town and the neighborhood is a little dicey late at night.
Our apartment did not match what Odalys shows on your site as the so called "typical" room. The sofa-bed covering had spills and stains on it. The room itself was not well maintained with large scratches in the floors. The parking garage where we could park our car was 3 floors underground and very dark and quite scary. This property does not belong on your site.
Needs upgrade
Good location. They did not have rooms ready even after check-in time. Hotel needs an upgrade. My room smelt like burnt milk when I walked in. Floors looked filthy (just old & scratched). The pillows were like piles of hard lumps (again old & need to be replaced). It was hot in the room —they turned off cooling just coz its Oct (climate change anybody ?)
Great weekend getaway
Great location, staff and rooms were very well appointed. The ability to walk every where required and even pop into the car for day trips was just perfect. WiFi was The only thing we had problems with. But would certainly consider using this area again.
Good place in a convenient location
The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with necessary dishes. The mall is just a couple of minutes of walking away and has a decent sized grocery store inside. The location is also much quieter than the more touristy area, but it is only a short gen to fifteen minute walk away and about the same distance in the opposite direction to the train station.
It is what it claims to be
I like the location, cleanliness, & the staff that we met. They wanted to charge 8 euros for a 2nd bath towel. Housekeeping did not come every day. I'd still go back again.
Good business stay
having a mini-kitchen and a separate sitting/TV area made a business stay much more comfortable. The notices about ''wash your dishes or be penalised 15 eur'' are not so welcoming though, and seem a bit exaggerated. The wi-fi was useless one night and fine the next, which is not so convenient. Still, given that the Strasbourg housing offer is not great when the city is full, for a business stay, I found this very congenial -- quiet, controllable A/C/heat (once you read the complicated instructions), and really nice to be able to have breakfast or a snack in privacy and comfort, and to feel at ease in an ''apartment'' instead of just a hotel room. one of my better Strasbourg stays, and the staff are very friendly.
Convenient location from train station and city sights. Helpful staff (allowed us to store luggage in an office until check in) and comfortable room with quite adequate kitchen facilities, highly recommend
Nice hotel, central location
We stayed at this hotel, in a superior appt for two nights, the kitchen gave us options, but only used a little. The separate bedroom was great, and the sofa beds were great for our 6 and 8 yr olds. Parking is a little tricky to find, but very cheap and secure, make sure you reserve a space by calling them or emailing. We didn't and were lucky to get the last space. Great stay
freindly staff clean rooms
just parking its far from hotel
Very pleasant hotel in a good situation
Hotel staff were very helpful and attentive. Rooms and bathroom very clean. Beds were also comfortable. Would recommend a stay at this hotel.
Good value!
This hotel is in a decent location with a basic pool and sauna (surcharge $10/person) which you rent out by the hour in its entirety (private room for your family, which I really like). Upon arrival the receptionist was very kind, but this changed later in the night when the new person on shift was stand-offish, so I guess it depends on who you get. The room is very nice - apartment style with full kitchen and two separate rooms. No complaints at all about the room, except there were heavy scratch marks on the floor due to a previous guests' luggage. Overall, good experience and good value.
Convenient
Nice stay
Clean and nice.
We spent two days at the Green Marsh Odalys and they were great. The room was spacious and clean and it included a full (but tiny) kitchen. The bathroom was big and comfortable. The hotel has a pool and a spa for those that are interested in that. It is also in an ok location, next to a mall.
Reasonable rates and comfort
it was an excellent location and off the main streets for quit and comfort!
Nice stay
Good stay , our room wasn't serviced one day that was only fault
Easy access to city center
Enjoyed the swimming area
Pleasant stay in Strasbourg.
Very reasonable rates. Clean, modern decor in rooms. Full kitchen. Very helpful staff. Don't bother paying for the continental breakfast. Eat out or shop to stock the kitchen and eat in your room.
Special thanks to Christine at front desk!
Easy walk to city center, 5 minutes. Hotel staff very nice.
Highly recommend
Highly recommend
A place to stay I suppose.
The hotel was ok. Located in an awkward place. No view. Except for another building which was a mall. Room was cold and no way to turn heat up, unless you ask l suppose. Breakfast wasn't free and there wasn't anything hot except for toast and coffee.
Do Not Book Green Marsh!!!
We did not stay in the hotel, because, although having paid in advance, the hotel staff did not have a room for us. They "accommodated" is by booking a room at the Ibis in an industrial part of town, AWAY FROM EVERYTHING. We had to take a train and bus, followed by a two hour walk to get there. This particular Ibis was surrounded by abandoned factories and construction zone. We booked and paid for a different hotel in the city center. We want our money refunded for the Green Marsh since they did not offer us a room in the location for which we paid.
Close to the train station and central!
The staff is very helpful and the bed is very comfortable. The only downside is slow wifi.
Not fancy, but it is ok, close to the city center; parking was cheap.
Wonderful Christmas
Apartment was very comfortable, cozy, clean, with very nice little kitchenette. Very useful for family rest.
The room was very dark No light in kitchen either
Staff were very helpfull a little trouble explaining things to them in English.
Value for locality
The place was very near the Christmas markets which was the reason we came here for. Hotel staff was great, knowledgeable and friendly. Had a run in with the municipal police over parking and their attitude was not great, however this was of no fault of the hotel, just miscommunication with them (her).
Almost a great experience.
The hotel was well-located, clean and safe, but no in-room safe and housekeeping kept "forgetting" to replace items, such as shampoo, glasses and toilet paper. Those things made it irritating to stay here, which was unfortunate.
As advertised
It was near the Christmas markets which was what we came here for. Walking distance to all of the attractions here, within 15 mins we got to the first tree. Had a run-in with the municipal police because I had no idea I was parking in front of someone's garage. Police was talking s**t and I couldn't be bothered. Had a great time at the place.
Nice location, but small room.
Located close to train station and shopping mall. 10-15 minutes walk to central tourist area. Room size is very small, it has a small kitchen. But smell from other rooms could be unpleasant when they cook. Don't miss the farmers market near the cathedral on Saturday.
Good quality apartment.
Modern furnishing and a very comfortable stay. Although it is a 5 to 10 min walk to the cathedral etc, the walk is well worth it so that we can go back to the comfortable rooms. Being next to the shopping mall is also great.
Perfect location
The hotel is perfect for staying in Strasbourg for shorter or longer stays. A super kitchenette for preparing own meals, parking in private garage for a few euro. Excellent service.
Good Services
I have been given very good services.
Not worth the price
This is a mid-range hotel with a high end price. It is quiet and clean but pretty basic, really. Staff at reception were rude and unhelpful.
Apartment with all basic cooking needs met.
This apartment is a short walk from the train station and to the historical city center. There is a mall right across the street for all food, pharmacy and shopping needs.
they failed the test
My air conditioner would not work. All I got was heat. The night clerk did not know what to do and the day manager said it was cool to him and gave me no help. The room was cool because the window had been open all night.
Convenient location with kitchenette
Newly stocked kitchenette, some dishes still had sales markings on them. Only after negotiation did we get a dish towel, sponge, some dish soap for our 2day stay. The concept is great just a few details to be worked out. We appreciated to be able to store luggage for a few hours after check out and also that there is staff available for 24 hrs. Ten minutes walk from train station and into old town.
Very well placed 5 min from city centre - so quiet
Very quite but well placed to get into the heart of Strasbourg easily on foot.....
Good location for Christmas Markets
Great room. Parking was a little out of the way and hard to find.
New or newly remodeled hotel near center
This hotel is easy walking distance to main train station and historic center. It was easy to find and is near a shopping mall that has a grocery.
Preis/Leistung ist sehr gut. Nicht im absoluten Top-Zustand, aber für den Preis super. Parkhaus nicht geeignet für Autos mit wenig Bodenfreiheit.
I couldn’t park at the hotel parking lot because it was full, so I parked at the shopping mall right in front. It costs around 20 euros for 24 hours.
Reçu facture de 107€ hors paye 115,58€😡
RAS
An excellent choice
Buona posizione, alloggio molto confortevole, ottima colazione

looks like an old office building converted to a hotel.
