Good, but need details on villa options

We stayed in a beach villa. It was lovely and spacious - fit for a bigger group. One this though, we were expecting to have direct access to the beach, and we were on the second floor over looking the beach. So this needs to be clarified on the two-bedroom villa option

I really can't understand how the average rating given in most of the reviews is so high. The staff in the hotel are generally friendly and helpful but that is where the positives end. - For the price of the hotel per night, there are really very few facilities or dining options. Bear in mind that Khor Fakkan itself has limited dining and entertainment options for the evening as well. - The room was very dirty, with lots of hair all over the floor, crumbs and etc. The rooms and hotel in general really need renovation. - The walls are paper thin or we were just unlucky with two different sets of very noisy neighbors. Both nights in a row our neighbors had some big gathering/party in their room till about 4AM. We complained about this to the staff a couple of times but in the end had two terrible nights sleep - There is a very pushy staff member selling massages, spa and salon services in the pool and beach area which is not appreciated - The standard of the breakfast is abysmal. This is in no way the level of a 4 star hotel - There is a massive construction site right next to the hotel for their expansion. The view North from the hotel is only a construction site, the view East/South is only of the industrial port. I definitely wouldn't stay here again and would pick something in Fujairah center, Sandy Beach or towards Dibba for nicer areas with more facilities and better view

The people and the place are outstanding.

The lights in our room were controlled by a key card by the door. The wiring in the key card was faulty and our lights and power in the room kept turning off.

It's hard to ask and receive very simple things: towel, adapter. They said okay, will bring it, but nothing happens.

The worst attitude and disrespectful for client

You and the hotel are the worst u refused to refund me the money I paid although I didn’t stay at that hotel you had to return my money I didn’t even stay at the hotel they were so rude and so disrespectful and I am a client who has the right to take my money back when neither the hotel or the booking system have a respect for a problem they caused it

Worst service ever I try in my whole life staying at hotels. 1) I arrived, No one come to help with luggages, they are waiting inside to go to them and ask for help 2) After asking them to come and collect my luggages they took time 3) I forget my remote control for my Mi box, No one call me to tell me that I forget it there 4) After I call to ask for my Remote that I forgot, they said to me we will contact to room service and call you back! Am waiting 2 hours waiting there call, No one call me back 5) I call them many times No answer, first time in my life call hotel too many times and No answer I like Khorfakkan city but unfortunately the only hotel there is this one Next time I prefer to stay in hotel 25 min near the city rather this worst hotel inside the city Not Recommend at all 👎 My worst experience ever

Unprofessional front-desk and housekeeping staff. Service and food quality is so bad. Swimming pool area not well maintained and has a very bad smell. This property doesn't deserve 4-star nor a resort ranking. Very disappointing!

We like staying here as it is close to the local dive shops down the road but also in a affordable price range for the area. There is no alcohol on site but when you are diving this can be a good thing. The place is comfortable and the beach and pool are nice.

An older by well maintained hotel in Khorfakkan

The Oceanic Hotel has been around for a long time and it is not up to the same standard as the resort hotels located further to the north. Khorfakkan is part of Sharjah Emirate, which is 'dry' and therefore there is no bar. The hotel does however provide very good value for money and is nice and comfortable with well maintained large rooms.

Personnel lying, not picking up the phone at the reception;promises to come to the room "in 10 minutes to resolve the issue and never shows up. Windows locked and not allowed to open for "security reasons". Food mediocre. Sea getting dirty every morning around 11:00 with no warning and explanations from the hotel staff. Does not deserve to be called a resort.

Home away from home

We've stayed at many 4 and 5 star hotels in the UAE, but the Oceanic was the only hotel where we really felt at home, the staff is attentive and welcoming, overall a great hotel experience.

The location is outstanding; however the room was below average for the money. The private beach, pool and restaurants are excellent. The room was ok at best and we had a lousy view.

We had a wonderful stay here. They upgraded us from mountain view to sea view for two rooms for free. The food was great and a good value. Also, my daughter and I had an amazing afternoon snorkeling using their diving center. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again!

Romantic and relaxing

Lovely staycation at the resort-popular with young families and east Europeans mostly. It is true what the reviews say about the staff-very warm and friendly. My only advice is to arrange for pick up from airport if flying in from outside the UAE. Resort is on the border of Sharjah/Fujairah-so be prepared for an alcohol free get away-which btw was a nice change.

A total disappointment

There was only one receptionist and it took him 30mins to assist me. I reserved the panoramic suit and it smelled bad + wasn't very clean. Tv didn't work. Telephones in the bedroom + bathroom were broken. Curtains were torn. Water is salty so taking a shower here is not a good idea. I'm disappointed.

Normal Resort,Too Pricey for the services offered

We,family of 2+1 were allotted a room with twin beds despite our preference for non-smoking double bed. Astonishingly they tried joining the two beds and found no problem with hollow/trough in between!! Not expected from a 4-star resort at such a high price! Eventually after multiple visits to the reception, another room was allotted with stinking smell of cigarette smoke... almost choking us!! Front office asked US to inform housekeeping to spray the room freshener-Informed HK and the service guy but WAS NEVER DONE-No one even bothered! Moreover the bed would shake while turning!! TV just had a handful of channels mostly Arabic. Lot of noise could be heard from the guests in the corridor. Most of the breakfast menu was just like snack items picked from the supermarkets! Some of the items were ‘cold’ like potato wedges, eggs, beans etc. Overall looked a normal resort and too pricey!

A great place to only chill out.

I had an amazing lovely time, first impression service was great, checking in was very fast!!! I found the room with many facilities that I need, plugged my laptop with the room huge TV using their HDMI cable and enjoyed watching my HD downloaded movies, the food and beverages were delicious, the chef is doing great job over there, the room service is not fast neither slow, the window was at the mountain side but unluckily it was dirty from the outside so I can't raise more than one thumb up! the pool was nice and the area around it was having many plants and greens made it nice to walk out for some fresh air, hotel has a small gym but was lucky only 3 people were in and the view from the gym is fabulous. The only disadvantage is the area restrictions of not allowing Sheesha, bars and billiard. Even malls or other fun zones were not existing which made me stay majority of the time in the hotel only. The nearest attraction was 30 min away called Fujairah Fort and the historical Fujairah Castle, a good place to take nice photo shots. The beach small in distance but water sports club was there offering skiing rides, parachuting, diving and Jet Lev. Security deposit was optional, and checking out was fast and easy. Valet parking service is very fast and no scratches were noticed.

Very nice hotel but the beach wasn't pristine.

Though the hotel was most comfortable and the breakfast buffet was superb, the beach was impossible to walk on due to an oil spill from one of the many tankers that ply the coast. The hotel staff downplayed this major annoyance, but we got the impression it happens fairly often.

Great beach resort

It was a very pleasant stay.. The rooms are nice with a lovely sea view.. The staff is very polite and professional.. The pool n beach are quite good.. There is scope to have some more facilities / play activities for kids.. But overall a great hotel... Will stay again!

Over all it was OK. The rooms aren't equipped with sound proofs materials and it was so noisy in the morning with all the kids running around.
