We stayed here for one night prior to a sailing trip. The staff are extremely friendly and the service overall was exceptional. The common areas: pool, lounges, (2) private beaches and outdoor dining were top notch. The rooms are basic and serviceable but not luxury. Most rooms have a patio or balcony with a sitting area and a hammock. The restaurant food was delicious the grounds offered entertainment and the proximity to shops and other attractions was near by. This more than met the needs of our family group which included two 25 year olds and two 16 year old boys.
This resort was honestly the best I’ve been, the staff are super attentive at all times. The food is delicious, the bartenders are so much fun. I travelled alone as a woman in Antigua and I had such a pleasent time, the taxi service provided by the hotel was punctual, respectful and helpful. The island itself it’s a treasure on its own and the people are very very charismatic. I recommend the hotel for a peaceful, relaxing time.
The property was very relaxed with pretty flora and buildings. Nice to have two small private beaches and a large pool. There are a few restaurants within walking distance (somewhat), yet there isn’t a town within walking distance therefore a taxi or rental car is required when leaving the premises. Overall, staff were friendly and the place was lovely.
Great swimming pool.
I had a great experience. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The pool was really nice. The hotel itself was a little on the old side but kept up well. On-site restaurant was good.
This small resort is a gem. Slightly older but very well maintained.I love the service and their pina coladas. Everyone is so friendly. Highly recommend.
The property is nice and the staff is excellent. The all inclusive wasnt that all inclusive. There was a separate menu that you can pay for if wanted those options. Also you have to pay for the cabanas. usually everything on the resort is avaiable without paying. The beach is small but private. Overall it was very nice.
Overall, had a great experience at this resort. It’s pretty small but doesn’t ever seem crowded. Very peaceful and quiet. Not a lot to do around the resort but the perfect place to relax! The only improvement I would suggest is the variety of food for the all inclusive guests. If not all inclusive, it’s VERY expensive.
Great resort
I very much enjoyed my stay in this resort. It’s very quiet and safe location so lots of opportunities to relax. My room was clean and quite comfortable. I was on all inclusive and enjoyed all the meals and cocktails. Also I need to mention that all the resort staff were very friendly and helpful so I felt very well looked after, thank you
I was charged incorrectly. room service went in to my room although sign was placed on door stating "do not disturb." housekeeping cleaned room and threw away one of my belongings thinking it was garbage. the outlet sparked and ruined my charger. the front desk clerk was not helpful at all about excursion details, although there was a huge binder advertising such. the only good thing was our driver that made himself our personal driver while we were there. his name is JOYCE. lovely person and was always on time. affordable as well. the ocean itself with private island was by far our best and favorite part of the trip.
Property is dated, and bathrooms small and need updating.Sraff very friendly and efficient.
Booked a last minute getaway and couldn’t be happier The price was great! The all inclusive package was well worth it. Not as all inclusive as the big resorts but perfect for what we were looking for. Our room was nice with a pretty view. Shower was weak with limited hot water but good enough to clean up before dinner. The tv was new and large. Just need to log into your own accounts The rum drinks were great. Coffee station was nice! Breakfast was standard fare The bread was a little dry. Lunch was great. Served right to our lounger. Dinner was ok. Fish was great. Could use additional pastas on the all inclusive. The soups were amazing. Spice and Ricardo were the dream team. The beach was cute and relaxing. The pelicans were amazing to watch. The place is overall shabby chic. Super clean and authentic. Would love to go back. The staff are all so nice. Massages were fantastic! It was just the break we needed.
Property is old, but properly maintained.
I would like to say my holiday was very good but I had my spare ray ban sunglasses stolen from my bag and I didn’t realise until I reached Trinidad. I would like to let you and all the customers know.
All I can say is excellence at its best! The staff was amazing from beginning to the better sweet end. The safe was warm, friendly and caring. The room was excellent. The view was amazing. The food wow just delicious from breakfast, the lunch, the dinner and the drinks all amazing. I will be returning very soon! My new home in Antigua.
Lovely resort with brilliant setting, pool and private beach. Restaurant is okay but not amazing and not a huge amount of other local restaurants near by. Staff are friendly but room did have a toilet that didn’t flush effectively and a broken door to balcony
Nice quiet resort. Great for relaxing. I would like to have music at the pool, nightly entertainment and more food options.
We selected this resort in order to be able to chill-out for 5 days after a particularly stressful month prior. It proved to be just the right choice, with peace all around us and some very welcome spots around the property where we could totally relax when we wanted. At other times there were plenty of opportunities to interact with other guests in the bar and restaurant areas. The staff were superb and Restaurant Manager Ellen ensured our celebration of my wife’s birthday was very memorable. Well done, everyone!
The perfect quiet and relaxing getaway! We will definitely be back
Property is lovely,(we were all inclusive), food is great, could prove pricey if not all incl. Drinks were free flowing and never too much trouble to prepare. Staff are all lovely and extremely helpful. Only problem is it is a little isolated 15 mins in a taxi to Dickenson bay and 20to 30 mins to St. Johns and shops.
This location was amazing. The staff personnel were the biggest assets. Simply amazing
Great
Everything
I can't say enough how welcoming and warm the staff was, from the front desk, waitstaff, manager, and bartenders. The food and drinks were amazing, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The beach was great and easy to swim. The pool was lovely to lounge around.
The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond for all our requests. They helped us organize a car with a reliable car rental company, and gave us recommendations on things to do on the island. Room was lovely and clean with a great view. Loved that the staff played soca music that we requested. Food was excellent , amazing breakfast , and dinner. Only the lunch menu was limited at the time that we were there , however everything else was great
The property and the staff were great. It's a very quiet and low-key atmosphere, not much in the way of entertainment but peaceful and accommodating
Areas on property tired and needs upgrading. Roads in are in poor shape.
Beautiful well maintained, excellent customer service at front desk. Happy to come back again
Staffs were very friendly and rooms were clean
The staff excellent friendly and helpful. They were delightful. It’s very very laid back, no live TV, no TV in the bar area. ???. Food is ok some days it’s good some day it’s too salty, breakfast was the best part of the day. Now the guest rooms we had a cabana terrace room the bathroom was tiny, I have never seen such a small bathroom. The room was clean, furniture is basic. The grounds are nice with cute seating nooks. Beautifully lighted at night. Won’t be back.
This is a difficult review to write, because I think a lot of my opinion is based on my own preferences and lack of looking ahead! The hotel is lovely. The staff are very nice and helpful and the location is stunning. However, I didn't realise that the location is isolated, only near other resorts, which means that you stay and eat/drink at the hotel. That makes it very expensive. I don't remember being given the option to pay all inclusive, but bearing in mind I don't eat much or drink alcohol I probably would have not. Then you see that the breakfast is US$25, whatever you have (a banana or a mound of food!), it makes you think. A mocktail is US$25. Too expensive.
This is just what we were looking for during our anniversary trip! Calm, quiet, serene right on the beach. Beautiful views, friendly and helpful staff. Literally had the beach and pool completely to ourselves almost daily. The only thing that could be improved upon would be longer dinner hours and a few more food options for all-inclusive guests. 4.75/5 stars!
good
I had a lovely stay. The place is really nice and quiet. The resort and room provided what I needed. The room and areas were clean and beautiful. Very friendly staff that were available to help.
The staff was friendly and courteous. The beach was just okay. Not much to do, I would not classify the property as a resort, it was just a hotel in my estimation. The rooms were clean.
The Management and Staff were exceptional. We were greeted with endless smiles and house pets who were most adorable. The team gifted us a bottle for champagne since it was a birthday celebration. The service was impeccable. We asked for late check out because we wanted to take advantage of the 2 beaches and the 24hrs salt water pool more (really we won't ready to leave). Breakfast was 10/10. Drinks 10/10.
The resort was small and cozy. Wish they had changed up menu more since there was only one restaurant on site.
Literally had to check ourselves in. Had to move rooms because ac didn't work, no hot water, hot air blowing directly on the balcony from noisy ac unit. Next room was no different except the additional black mold covering the air conditioner. Breakfast stops at 9:30 and if you don't do the all inclusive the dinner prices are ridiculous. Staff was little to no help
Old world style
Lovely hotel with outstanding staff.
Great place to stay. Staff was amazing, and the beaches there were super clear, calm, and beautiful. Although this is not a five star hotel, I enjoyed my stay here.
The property was extremely expensive, $25.00 for an average burger. Also I felt nickel and dimmed that there was no iron in the room and so you had to pay to that service. The beach is cozy and the sunset there was breathtaking.
This place had such an amazing STAFF oh my god, everyone’s hospitality was impeccable, from the front desk, to the bartenders, to the waiters, I genuinely loved it here. It’s my second time back
Need to fix wi fi was very bad also the rooms need an upgrade. The restaurant was very good.
Great traditional Country Hotel. Dated in most areas, but in a great way. Rooms are clean, and bed was comfortable Main hotel is traditional in style. Spa is good
Short but sweet
Lovely location, very nice beaches. Stayed at the hotel for a couple of days on business so was not there enjoying the facilities. Had a few drinks at the bar, very good service. Ate at the restaurant and again very good service and good food!
Stay was comfortable in
I had a wonderful time at the resort! The staff were all lovely and made the stay an enjoyable one! A special thank you to everyone who accommodated me on my first night! By the time I got to the hotel, the kitchen was already closed but they all made sure I got a hot and delicious meal! Would definitely recommend staying here!
This was a lovely place to stay. The staff was wonderful and the accommodations were quite nice.
Pros: outstanding staff!!! Every single person was welcoming, gracious, helpful and friendly. All service was with a smile. They made the experience perfect. Dining options limited to one onsite restaurant but the selections ranged from several options every day. Great variety, nice proportions and always healthy options. Desserts were wonderful and homemade. Great selection of drinks, including non- alcohol As adult only, it was quiet and restful. Water aerobics were offered. Pool was very clean. Ocean view - breathtaking Staff assistance with local arrangements- you couldn’t ask for better!! Improvements: Gift shop very limited Some aspects of the facility were “worn” and needed a facelift - bathroom was very, very small and only room for one person at a time, especially using sink and shower area. Not suitable for people with physical limitations in stairs or uneven surfaces.
The beach area had plenty of shade
We had an amazing stay at ocean point! We had three rooms for our girls trip. The rooms were clean, spacious, had balconies, and were convenient to the lobby where there was a water machine and coffee/tea. The resort is so close to the airport. The beach there is small but gorgeous! Beautiful calm waters on two beaches with lots of chairs and umbrellas. The restaurant was great no reservations needed. No buffet all a la Carte. The food was all delicious and there were many options everyday. The resort is small making everything easily accessible. The restaurant and bar were oceanfront. The staff were all extremely helpful and nice. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay with the deal we got.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was excellent! Most enjoyable vacation!
Splendid Resort
Ocean Point is a welcoming place. The staff are very attentive and caring. On my check-out day, they gave me a colorful cup as a souvenir. I was very pleased and surprised as such a gesture from a hotel to a guest is very rare. The room is basic. It has a large screen TV, a small fridge, and a comfortable bed. It is clean and private (no noise disturbances). However, everything else at Ocean Point is splendid.. I believe "Ocean Point" raises the bar high when it comes to its outdoors. The resort has a stunning pool that attracts every guest to plunge in and let go of oneself. Nearby, there is a small golf course for fun, and I did have a lot of fun with it. A few steps away, is the beach that presents a white sand with clear water. It is very satisfying to walk bare foot on the warm sand or to swim in the relaxing clear ocean. The beach touches the restaurant, and thus facilitates the enjoyment of both food and nature. The food is excellent. I give thumbs up especially for dinner. The dishes are of fine taste. A shutout to the restaurant Manager who engaged in a dialog with me just because I did not finish one of my meals. That was customer care at best! By the way, I did not finish the meal simply because it was a meal served cold (Paradise Shrimp) while I was in the mood for something hot. If you are planning a trip to Antigua, Ocean Point is definitely a resort to consider. I believe you will not regret it. Go for it!
We stayed for a week in early February and LOVED it. The resort is small and a bit dated, but is VERY well maintained. Plenty of lounge chairs around the pool and on the beach. It is THE place to relax - very quiet, never far from seeing or hearing the ocean. Some folks would even say too quiet as there is not a lot of entertainment (three nights when we were there, which were fun!). But from what we saw, that seems to be Antigua. The entire island is pretty underdeveloped and seemed very quiet everywhere we went. The beaches were very nice, protected by jetties, and plenty of lounge chairs so you don't have to reserve chairs first thing in the morning. Although 2 of the days, we had guests from cruise ships, but maybe 20 people total on each day. The food was EXCELLENT with an Italian flair. The owners also own 2 restaurants in Italy and they bring that to the resort. All inclusive was a little different than others we've been to, and that was a good thing! No buffets. All cook to order meals. Drinks were all served from one bar and the bartenders were really nice folks! Staff was excellent all over - front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, etc. If we ever go back to Antigua, we would definitely stay here again.
Look This property is in dire need of some modernizing. Every single thing about the decor is dated. It felt like a throwback to the 80s. The towels are embarrassingly worn out since they are thin. The toiletries are insanely low grade. Highly suggest you bring your own. There is liquid hand soap at sink and the shower has refillable sizes of shampoo and body wash. Staff are nice and property is cleaning. The restaurant area has a lovely lounge but the offerings of wines are limited and only fountain tonic, which is a picky detail but an important one for a gin & tonic drinker. If you like old school nostalgia and just want a clean place to lay your head, then this place would deliver.
.
Excellent stay! Very relaxing. Not large. 60 rooms. Beach lounges, couches, umbrellas everywhere. Best of all, no music during the day! Or children. Great food. Go all inclusive. Small beach. Take a cab Jolly Beach or Darkwood Beach once or twice for a big beach. Wonderful people. Very clean. My new favorite!
I booked this hotel for my dad and brother last minute. The only positive take away was the staff was nice. This is not their first trip to Antigua as we have family that reside there. However, this was a last minute trip and this was one of the only hotels available. My dad is 6'4 i asked for a room with two beds and they gave my dad and brother two twin cots. They set up cameras in the room which records movement and sound staff came in the room multiple times unannounced (we have it on video) they also have a staff member recognizing they were on camera and left. They paid $60 for breakfast which included 1 sausage, 1 toast cut in half and eggs for two people. They have no iron in the hotel, no easy access ice. They were denied room service due to rain, housekeeping also ignored DND signs on the door and walked right in. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
Absolute paradise
The best staff ever. VERY accommodating, polite Make you feel like a true guest We did the all inclusive and the food was plentiful and delicious Not big drinkers but all house wine and beer included as well as tropical drinks
Overall a nice getaway ! Do not expect a 5 star like Sandals! However the property meets my needs! I chose the all inclusive option and the food choice was good! I would only recommend that the dining room staff be a little more organized! The waiter needs to be assigned particular tables and only serve those tables! A few times there were different person who were asking about the same thing! One person came and asked if everything ok, not 15 seconds later another person came and ask same thing, a little annoying. The water pressure was a bit low at times and the water takes a while to get warm! Overall it wasn’t bad! I would revisit!
Everyone that worked there was super friendly From Management to front desk and bar/ restaurant Two individuals that is beyond happy and friendly is Tara and Brian Thank you for everything we definitely be back I recommend this place
A lovely resort, with 2 small beaches. Great food at the restaurant and at the bar, which had a slightly different menu and hours. Friendly staff. Very well kept. Excellent value. We would happily return.
The property was very clean and the plants were shrubs added a nice relaxing feel to our stay.
I liked the exceptional quality of service provided by all staff members. I will continue to revisit this establishment just because the service given makes you feel at ease snd relaxed. No disappointments whatsoever!!!
Great customer service, very friendly and helpful. They make you feel like a special person. The food was delicious, if you want to try the best food ever and nice and quiet vacation don’t hesitate to visit this place . We have a great time.
The staff were extremely friendly & helpful, and the food was excellent!! We really enjoyed the local options on the menu, and variety each day!
The property can use some repairs
We were really excited to visit this property, but felt extremely disappointed by the room. The shower was awful - we kept our sandals on. The lights make a weird noise once turned on. The property is dated and needs painting. Also, we paid an outrageous amount of money for lunch (81USD for 2 burgers and a Diet Coke and piña colada) - we felt ripped off. The only thing saving this hotel is the staff, who were all helpful.
Enjoyable stay. Recommended having activities for guests.
My fiancé and I stayed just for one night but it was a tranquil escape, quiet, beautiful right on the water. The saltwater pool was refreshing. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We started the morning with couples massages Oceanside which were fantastic. The food was excellent at the restaurant. I would definitely recommend the all inclusive option. Our room was clean and comfy including the bed. If you are looking for a small very quite oceanfront get away this is the place. Thank you for making our stay memorable
Some highlights were the large salt water pool, the scenic view from the room, the delicious food served in the restaurant, and the lovely staff. The private beech was also a nice touch. I’ll be back to the island and will gladly sat there again.
Fabulous property but isolated.
This was truly the BEST all inclusive resort I’ve EVER been to! The staff was so pleasant and nice and the food was AMAZING!! I didn’t wanna leave :( def will come back in the future
Great quiet hotel with private beach. Large pool and friendly staff.
My boyfriend and I had the most amazing stay at Ocean point for 6 nights. The property was very tranquil and relaxing. We thought the restaurant was excellent and a fantastic value. All of the staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. I also had a massage by Lena and pedicure by Sadie and both were wonderful. Overall a fantastic experience. Lovely calming romantic vacation for couples.
Everything is fine
Great staff and great ppl. If you want a place to relax this would be it.
The facilites in the hotel were very good although a gate from the balcony could not be locked and as such was somewhat unsafe. The beaches near the hotel were disappointing.
I loved the small and intimate resort and the excellent staff on site. The beaches were perfect and I liked that there were two beach options. The food was overall excellent with varying options for dinner every night. The only real complaint I could have were the small showers and that our bed was two twins pushed together that would separate when sleeping. That said, those were minor inconveniences and we had a positively lovely stay and would stay there again.
The staff at the front desk, the bar and the restaurant were really sweet and friendly and helped with any request we had. We ordered a chocolate cake for a birthday (which was divine by the way!) and the entire front desk sprung into action to support this mission to get the cake, which we really appreciated! Will be back just because of the staff’s warm vibe. Bonus- the food is really good as well. Cheers to the pastry chef and everybody in the kitchen!
We stayed at Ocean Point for 5 nights in early May 2023. Our room was great with a view of the ocean and the pool. The balcony and railings had recently been redone. Everying was clean and worked well - especially the super quiet aircon! The resort is super chilled out, with more retirees than not, lots of Brits. We took about 1/2 of our meals in the hotel restaurant (we had the full board plan). The restaurant and bar staff are super friendly, among the nicest people you'll meet in Antigua. Elena, the owner runs the restaurant personally and there are good choices every day. The salads are a real highlight! Also unexpected and truly exceptional are the Bunn coffee/espresso machines that you have 24hr hour access to - there are 2 of them - and they're included! Serously the best hotel coffee you'll ever have! Bring lots of sunscreen and anything else you might want because there is no shopping in walking distance.
The staff was very friendly and the property was clean. The rooms and beds were good but lacked a little in decor. No irons in the room but you can pay for the service which is both good and bad. I feel if I pay for an all-inclusive then at the very least iron should be included in the room if not the service should be included. I paid about $30 (USD) for 4 items to be ironed, which could have been a tip to the staff or something. The limited hours and menu were a bit of a drag but the food was good (not great) for lunch and dinner, breakfast need some help. Overall, it's a pretty good spot for relaxation. The hotel does need a little updating though. The pool is a saltwater pool and nice, the bar is decent, and the beach was BEAUTIFUL! The only reason I gave it four stars is because the hotel itself feels old.
SueB
Very nice stay for one day.
The property was secluded and it had a couple of lagoons with beaches. They had some seaweed, especially the one in front of the bar. Staff at the front desk were amazing, same with the cleaning and waiting staff. The rooms are not lit enough, we ended up going and buying bigger lightbulbs for our room, because we couldn't see at night. Restaurant and bar had a strange all inclusive / paid formula. That ensured that all extras were to be paid for. The food was generally decent, the salads were amazing, though.
Great experience
This resort has stunning views, the nicest and friendly staff, and tranquil environment
The staff from check-in to check out were awesome. The dining/bar staff did an outstanding job. Kerry-Ann, Tracy and others make you want to come back. As a suggestion there should be a list of night life activities (clubs, lounges, bars, etc) that are off the property but within reach by taxi or other modes of transportation for visitors to do that want to participate in them.
We were only there for one night tranwiting from another island then home. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room fien. The property is very nice and the food reasonable. It is primarily an all-inclusive so not really set up for people like us who are not on a plan. However, we did have a good dinner n arrival and a nice lunch before we left. Sorry we could not take advantage of the very large saltwater pool and small beach
We were really blown away by the service, the food, and the views. I've never gone to an all-inclusive resort before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Since this was half the price as other resorts in the area I was a little hesitant, however, it was such a great value. This is a small resort and we were often times the only people in the pool or ocean. At night we slept with the patio door open and all we could hear was the sound of the waves. THe receptionists were so helpful and made booking trips and taxis super easy (I highly recommend the Mystic 6 hour boat tour). The food was amazing and the wait staff was so attentive. We arrived worn out and left fully charged! I would say this isn't for people who expect luxury. There's no elevator for the third floor, and there's no beach service. I don't think those are a deal breaker for most people. My only caveat: if you're staying here make sure they don't put you in room 310, 311 or 312. There's a sewar tank below those rooms so it was pretty unpleasant every time we entered or exited our room (thankfully it didn't smell bad inside the room!).
Tranquility, Rest and Relaxation all in one!
Just what you need when it is time to detach from the world and relax. Salt water pool was amazing, food was good and the customer service was great. Truly appreciative to Tara who ensured our stay was memorable from beginning to end. The professionalism she brings to the table and the value she puts on exceptional customer service speaks volumes. Thank you Tara!!
The property is lovely.
I must say that the staff at Ocean Point is the priperty's best asset. Special mention : Keon at the bar and the server on the beach...really nice and helpful guys. Also the front desk girls...sooo pleasant and accommodating. I loved every moment of my stay.
Room i stayed in was small as compared to what was advertised.
The staff was more then accommodating, they made you feel like family. The constantly checked on an made sure my staff was comfortably. The views were something out of a portrait. I really miss the Hammock on the patio!
The staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel is well-maintained. There is access to clean and safe drinking water, coffee and tea at all hours. Restaurant is reasonably priced with excellent food and live music.
Excellent staff and service
Near the airport which was good for our overnight connection back to London. Older property with average facilities. Staff was pleasant and upkeep ok. Beach area not so great.
Excellent Property.
We stayed for a week at Ocean Point over New Years and had a wonderful time. The resort was quiet, clean and had a great restaurant. The staff at the place us what makes the place though. Quame and Andre were amazing bartenders and offered non stop laughs and great service. The restaurant staff including Emma, Dede, Kerry-Ann, Spice and Markie all went above and beyond any expectation. By the end of our stay, it felt like home. I can’t thank everyone enough for making our trip special! You are all amazing!
