Ocean Drive Madrid's best feature was its good location. The hotel is adjacent to a Metro station, good shopping, Gran Via and many important historical sites. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was expensive for the quality of meals served. Our room had a number of defects that required maintenance.

Great location, staff were wonderful in helping with directions before our arrival in explaining driving into the city and finding the car park which we never would have found without help.

Staff were extremely friendly, helped us out with whatever we needed. Spacious rooms, great location and we felt very safe. We will definitely stay at this hotel again!

I've stayed about 40 nights in this hotel in the past 2 years. I spend between 300-1000 on their wine list almost every stay. On this trip they couldnt even seat me at the bar saying they were too full. Poor customer management system.

Just steps from the metro station, very convenient

This hotel is beautiful situated in the center of Madrid. The staff was absolutely amazing and the restaurants was wonderful. Moving forward this will be my hotel of choice when going to Madrid. I absolutely loved this place.

Hotel is steps away from Opera Metro station, and a few blocks from the Royal Palace. Location is ideal! The front desk staff was always friendly and very helpful. Rooms are very modern.

Not a business hotel - more suitable for the influencer/backpacker elites. Room was minimal at best - roof deck was just adjacent to neighborhood buildings. Modern and comfortable, but not worth the price.

Solid hotel

Great location, easy walk to historic sites, restaurants & shopping. Hotel room was clean & had everything I needed. I had no problems with shower or toilet ventilation. Breakfast was fresh, had lots of choices, both buffet & fresh cooked dishes. Staff was friendly & helpful. Area can be loud at night.

Very noisy at night in the rooms, especially if the rooms are on the Plaza side(facing the Opera) like ours was! Location of hotel is very convenient with easy walki g distance acess to multiple Madrid attractions.

Excellent services and great location. Only issue was the shower leaks. I think it is a designe issue. However, the hotel is trying to fix it.

Horrible room design! The toilet is in a closet with no exhaust fan. The shower is a see thru glass cabinet that leaks water everywhere even after your done showering. The sink vanity is in the middle . A sink so tiny you can barely brush your teeth. Your modesty is in full display as you shower. Only good part is that the location of hotel was central to all sites and shopping. So if your ok with water leaking everywhere, a damp room and no privacy while showering this hotel is for you.

This place was amazing and there customer service was above and beyond from the moment you check in to every little detail would recommend to anyone.

Amazing hotel!

The room was clean and reasonably spacious, but lacking proper closet space, almost no shelves for clothes. Also bathroom lacking ventilation and there is constant smell of stail water. Big and comfortable terrace, very polite and helpful staff. Overall was good stay.

The location was excellent close to everything with a beautiful view of the Opera House from the roof terrace. Modern and clean with a calming vibe to return to after exploring a busy city.

Located in Centro, it is walkable to all the major attractions around the area. It can get loud though at night. Despite of that, our stay was enjoyable!

Lovely hotel, nice decor and good sized room. We opted for plaza view which ended up being disruptive at night. We were woken by shouting from outside the club on 2 out of 3 nights so would probably choose courtyard view next time.

Great Location. Hotel was well taken care of. Our room was very clean and loved our terrace. Although there was no danger, there is some latenight shenanigans due to the train stop being in the middle of the plaza. Would definitely dtay again as its very convenient to all the attactions and very close to some of the best places.

I mainly chose this hotel because it had garage. Unfortunately finding it to park my car was a puzzle. Hotel was clean,reception desk was excellent. The lay out of the room although at first sight looked nice it was aliitle bit like an upmarket student Hostel.

Excellent hotel, lovely staff, very clean. Rooftop pool is lovely although rooftop bar is a little pricey. Parking was secure and access instructions were clear and helpful.

Good area and amenities but inside the room spoon for expresso was dirty. Breakfast area staff daily could use customer service training. It was beyond below one star hotel. Very poor restaurant service.

First of all Maria at the front desk was AWESOME and attentive. The front desk staff overall were professional and friendly. Also Marco at the-roof top bar was very pleasant to interact with. Also had the pleasure of meeting another employee Enock, very gracious and kind. Now as for the property, it was just okay. Pool’s just a wading pool. Hallway’s dark and gloomy, walls are paper thin. TV literally was mounted on the bed…. That was quite odd. Room needs a throw rug to warm it up, cold and sterile.

Right in the middle of old-town. On the square with the opera house. Metro station right outside the door. Easy walk to Palace. Very nice hotel and close to lots of eating options as well.

Great location, clean hotel. Rooms are small. Seasonal terrace open 12-8 in summer. We liked it but felt it was overpriced for what it offered.

This hotel was our favorite over the two wells we traveled in Europe. It had everything we wanted in a hotel. Spacious. Convenient. Elegant. I’m definitely starting here when we return to Madrid. And we will!!

Everything about the Ocean Drive Hotel is amazing. The best location in Madrid. Great walking to all of the major sites and also has direct access to the Metro. The staff was beyond courtesy and helpful. The rooms were perfect.

First time at this hotel despite visiting Madrid several times. The location is great near but apart enough of the noisy Plaza del Sol and Gran Vía. Near the Palace. Modern facilities in the middle of an Old and Beautiful city. Metro, Taxis and Uber are in the immediate surroundings. Nice rooms with everything you need plus a great bed. Will stay again in my next visit.

Spacious clean and great location

Lovely hotel, they should update their photos! Friendly staff also! We found the room to be spacious and clean. The open shower cubicle and sink feature was fine for us and the slight mirror divide offered enough privacy if required. If you were in bed you couldn’t see the shower cubicle. We had a normal amount of water on the floor outside of the shower and I can see that the hotel has installed a strip to try and help stop the water coming out. The Shower was big and water pressure was great! There’s no shelf to put your own shower gel but this was not a big issue for us. The bed was very wide but not extra long as stated in room description. My partner is 6.4 and his feet were over the end of the bed. We used the pool which was lovely, the seating area could do with a little TLC, as there were rips in some of the seat cushions. Some chilled music around the pool would be a nice touch! But overall we enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Great hotel in wonderful, convenient location! Clean, friendly and great customer service. Rooftop pool and bar was very refreshing in the afternoon.

Avoid it

Ocean Drive Madrid offered arrival airport transfer but the driver did not wait for us despite 1 hour passport control and baggage claim delays. The driver never even entered airport parking much less stand with a sign at customs exit. The hotel did not apologize or otherwise do anything to get us reimbursed over €50. The photos of the lobby and rooms are not current or distorted to appear larger. A standard double is very small. The restaurant made us wait to be seated 20 minutes while jet lagged despite many available tables. The square is noisy. We were not aware of any evidence of ecofriendliness. We will not return.

Stayed for four nights. Amazing location, friendly and helpful staff, lovely room and great breakfast. Only negative is the pool (small so more for a dip than a swim) was only open between 12pm - 8pm so we didn’t get to use it as we were out during the day. Would definitely stay here again if going back to Madrid.

A place Worth visiting

It was a great experience. The hotel location is a mazing the in the heart of the city. I highly recommend it.

Great location but very noisy

The hotel is located exceptionally well just opposite the Royal Opera and close to the action. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The rooftop bar and pool was a bonus but the drinks are very expensive. Also, the pool is very small so don’t expect to have a swim it is more just a little plunge pool. On the negative, the room door was paper thin and you could hear every noise from the corridor. Our room was an upgraded corner room but this meant it was right next to the room where the cleaners accessed all their stuff. So from early in the morning they were crashing about and talking very loudly so don’t expect to sleep in! Overnight when people come back there is also a lot of noise which is very loud from inside the room. This alone would make me not stay here again. It is unfortunate as most other things were very good

The location is perfect - e writhing is walking distance. The roof top pool is small and does get very busy but was a great addition. Tte rooms are not huge but perfect for a city break. Would deffo book again.

Great stay

I enjoyed a lovely stay at Ocean Drive Madrid. The hotel is nicely appointed and the bar & restaurant are great, including the food and cocktails. The location is great for walking, shopping & dining. The front desk staff are knowledgeable and helpful too. The only unfortunate thing was my room was across from the housekeeping room so I was woken up both mornings with noise from the room. They did offer to move me but I was leaving early the next day so did not decide to move. I definitely recommend this hotel.

You can’t beat the location. We were to walk to all destinations. The staff were amazingly helpful and professional. Our room was small but the bathroom was designed to fit 2 easily especially because it had 2 vanities.

Location was perfect. The room configuration was very odd….toilet in a separate closet (literally) but had no fan in there. The shower was in the open so the person staying in the room can see the other taking a shower. Don’t see this type of room configuration anywhere else other than in Spain. Otherwise the room very modern and comfortable. Staff weee very nice during the stay. I asked for a room with a better view which they had but charged extra money….given the price we were paying, I thought it was a bit much but otherwise everything was fine.

Don’t trust what they say any more.

I reserved and paid extra for a room overlooking the square. Upon arrival, I was told that they have only a room overlooking an alley. I called the Hotels.com and chatted on line with two individuals, all I heard was sorry, sorry, sorry. I felt I was cheated.

Lovely hotel and staff and ideally situated for many of the points of interest.

Parking is not at the property. Parking for a price is available. About 30 Eros overnight. There are plenty of good restaurants near by. The rooms were a reasonable size.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at this property. It was a last-minute switch from a previous hotel that did not have a pool to this hotel, which did have a pool it also had a terrace off my room which at the time I had no idea was as large as it was or that it stared directly at the most beautiful opera building on the square it was quite a pleasant surprise Room number 408 if you could book it get it because it’s the best room in the house! The restaurant affiliated with the hotel is also very good not only appealing, but the food is fantastic as well as the staff. One thing I definitely should mention is there was beer on tap in my room. I don’t know if that’s a normal thing for Spain or Madrid, but there was a beer tap in my room with cold beer so if you like beer that’s a plus at no extra charge.

Perfect Location

The hotel was nice and clean. The location was perfect - right in the action. We had drinks and ate at the MarMia a few times. It was super. Try the apple tart. So delicious.

The hotel is located in a nice area. The receptionist is very helpful. They let us leave our luggage stored before and after our stay, which was helpful. The space for the toilet was small. The shower was spacious. The air conditioning did not work well. We were hot most of the night Spring and I can't imagine how hot it would be stay during summer time. The windows to the room didn't open up, so that didn't help with ventilation. But besides the AC not being great, everything else was really nice.

Hotel is in excellent location for eating, bars, metro. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel was really good overall, room was very comfortable. No complaints at all. The only thing we had a bit of an issue with was the room layout - not keen at all in having the bathroom integrated into the rest of the room. There was a separate toilet, but the shower was in the corner of the room, and the washbasin counter was across the middle of the room. Not sure if the room designer ever had to stay in a hotel before... Other than that, very good stay.
