The hotel is quite basic and old fashioned but was clean and comfortable with friendly staff.

will stay again have been here twice now and like very much thank you

Good food and beer

Loved the neighbourhood people and the pub.

This accommodation is ideal for truck drivers, not the general public..

My overall rating is average, but you get what you paid for. The person at reception could have been a little more welcoming.

Great little place to stay for a few days.. most shops, takeaways only a few mins drive up the road.

The motel made our three day stay in Dunedin a great time. Easy access to all three families we visited was a feature. It was also a great haven when we were over visiting

This hotel is basic but had everything we needed. Rooms were extremely clean and it was nice to have our rooms refreshed for the second night (which doesn’t seem to happen much with more than one night booked) For the price, it’s clean with hot showers. Just what you need after a day of travelling or exploring.

Located near the beach. Easy to get to and well equiped room. Very clean and comfortable. The shower curtain is half an inch too short so water got on the floor easily and the plug in hand basin flips itself shut so I did have an overflowing sink in a moment of distraction

Good budget option. Has a bar on-site if you like a quiet drink alongside locals. Beach within minutes proximity to location, short commute to shops, clean and tidy. Worth a look if you have a tight budget

Looking for cheap accommodation for a couple of nights, great wee spot. Bar on-site, clean rooms, easy commute, sea right there. Budget stay but good value for money

Awesome

Tea cup was not washed.. had to fill jug with the cup as the jug could not fit under the sink tap. Unit was clean and bed was comfortable. Could have done with a microwave.

Was cheap and cheerful

Cold. Heatpump didnt work properly. No electric blanket. Just a couple of old hot water bottles. Shabby.

Have stayed before & find the accomdation quiet, comfortable with the advantage of being able to safely park & have a meal as well. Great

great place to stay in Dunedin suited us as we were close to where we wanted to be. Will use again when back in town.

Love the hotel

Tidy

It was clean and had a comfortable bed. The downside was that there was no microwave, only one chair for a unit that could sleep three and the hand basin was very small.

The room is basic but covers what you need for an overnight stay.

Quiet location

This is not a Hotel. It’s a pub with some Rooms. It was very noisy from the pub but also from the road. Boyracers most of the night. Bed looked liked it was not changed and the draw with cutlery was dirty. All together very unloved. If I would have known the pub situation I as a single woman would have not stayed there specially not for that price

Place was a little dated but had everthing we needed. Their Hotel did very nice meals staff were friendly.

This is a clean and friendly place to stay, with a comfortable bed. Very good value for money, and plenty of food at the restaurant.

The units are 1960 vintage, but clean & tidy. They are adjacent to a large untidy public bar [1960 booze bar style] which seemed to attract a noisy crowd on Friday & Saturday nights that I was there. However all fairly quiet by midnight.

Great location

Travelling for work so only needed a comfortable bed. Great location. So close to the beach and only a short drive to town.

For a fairly inexpensive motel room it was nice. The bed was comfy and the room was reasonably big. It wasnt noisy given it right beside the pub and you could hear the other guests on either side of us. One downfall was the smell. It seemed like the room carpet had a wet dog smell but perhaps just needed a good carpet clean. Overal pretty good given the cost

Close to the town.Pub next door People parking on front of door so we don't have parking and Internet don't work 😭

Great for single night stay

Simple and very tidy

Good Kiwi hospitality, food, facilities.

Our room was basic but fine for a one night stay. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot and the room was warm on a snowy, blustery night. We had an issue with the wifi and the staff were patient and helpful and went out of their way to assist us.

The room was very cold, didnt feel welcome on arrival

Was a cheap property just for one night but wouldn't stay again. Dirty including uncleaned cutlery etc. Could only fill jug up in shower and furniture stained.

Clean, but felt damp. Needs to be fenced off from the pub car park. Checkin was in the pub, at the bar, with patrons looking on & hearing directions to your room! Not ideal!

Sheets on did not look like they had been changed blood on sheet and bottom sheet was wrinkled No sink or facility to wash up dishes no microwave The unit was very old and uninviting would not use again

Seaside hotel

Overall, we were very happy with the stay. I found a stain and hair on the bed cover when we checked in, if anything negative. Otherwise the bathroom was clean and there is nothing to complain about. Close to beach and shops.

A comfortable room for a reasonable price. Close to the beach and we had a nice meal conveniently at the hotel in the same complex.

It was a good experience

This accommodation was comfortable and clean. It provided all that we needed. The hosts were very friendly and the meals provided at the hotel were good pub meals at reasonable prices. We would certainly stay here again.

Convenient pub onsite, good meal

Very outdated and lacking, no microwave,desk ortable , no where to sit at to eat or write, only one chair yet sleeps 3 , tv only had a few channels ,could not fill kettle at basin had to use shower, no where to do dishes, no detergent or dishcloth but had a t towel . For another $10-20 could of stayed elsewhere with a modern bathroom and better equipped .

Very basic rooms but clean and tidy. Great price. Restaurant was dreadful. Waited 1&1/2 hrs for seafood basket and a burger. In that whole time only about 5 or 6 other meals served. ( not tables individual meals place was NOT busy) guests we were seated with that ordered after us had finished eating before we even got ours. I asked to cancel my food and was told no that couldn’t happen. Food when it finally arrived was VERY average. Very oily fried food like the oil hadn’t been hot enough and our friends med steak was very well done like it had been boiled. No nice sear on the outside. The only other time I have eaten at this place my kids mini hotdogs were still frozen in the middle. Thought I would give it a second chance but now regret that decision.

Very convenient location and a great price. Attached to a hotel so was a bit noisy on karaoke night but most of the singing was great and it finished by 10 so was OK.

Cheap room, clean room, food across the parking lot . No complaints here!

If we hadnt arrived as late as we diid I would have checked out straight away. The accommodation was nothing like what was advertised. I checked out the following morning , found my own accommodation and subsequently was $890.00 out of pocket on the 1st day of our holiday. The woman told me she had been paid and that she wouldn't be returning any money

Great welcome

Very welcoming and a lovely place to stay

Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Good location for us. Clean, although bathroom a little dated and beds could do with updating. Great for a short stay to base yourself for exploring the surrounds rather than a room you would spend a lot of time in.

unfortunatly we didnt get to stay as our days had been booked wrong and when we got there there were no rooms left. We thought we had booked for the 9th May checkout 10th but we had booked in for the 8th as the site told us there was only 1 bed left. Wrong information as it turned out they were not booked out that night. who pays now as we didn't use the room

It was very clean and cosy, nice warm room, The bathroom was nice and had great shower pressure. It had good wifi and was a quiet little hotel in a nice area close to beach.

Quiet and comfy

Everything was lovely. The room was clean and smelled fresh, the bed was comfy and the staff were very friendly. Very handy to all amenities and the beautiful Saint Kilda beach.

It was ok for the night. Nothing special. Receptionist didn’t give us much time, but another friendly local helped us out.

Good location with heaps space of car park Bus stop just in front of accom. Easy to go to town if you dont want to hassle in finding car park.

The room we stayed was good and quiet. The fridge was very useful for 2 day stay. The thing I don't like was pub customers used our parking space twice.

Nice budget motel, brick walls keep noise to a minimum! Bonus on AC for hot days, close to beach and small market.

Parking taken up by pub patrons making it hard to park at unit.
