Potential for Improvement

Upon arriving, we were greeted warmly by the friendly staff, indicating a promising start to our stay. However, as our experience unfolded, it became evident that there are areas in need of significant improvement, particularly in staff training and communication. One notable issue was the lack of training in handling client requests and complaints. While the staff remained courteous throughout our interactions, it was apparent that they struggled to address our concerns effectively. For instance, when we requested a late checkout, we were granted the extension but later received a call from reception asking when we plan to vacate our room. This lack of communication among staff members was concerning and disrupted our experience. Furthermore, upon dining at the hotel restaurant, we noticed a lack of ambiance due to the absence of background music. When inquired, our waiter mentioned that he used his personal phone to stream music, but it frequently encountered issues, resulting in silence. This not only detracted from the overall dining atmosphere but also reflected a lack of proper equipment and preparation on the part of the establishment. A proper orientation could have enhanced our experience and provided valuable information about the hotel's amenities and services. Unfortunately, this aspect was overlooked, leaving us feeling disoriented and uninformed. In conclusion, while the hotel shows potential with its friendly staff, there is a clear need for improvement

This property is classed as a 5* but it's more like a 4*. The advert says personalized villa but there is nothing personalized about it at all. It's small things that I dont consider it to be a 5*, such as; Seating area to eat outside but no lights so had to use iphone light to see what we were eating. Furniture is not in-keeping with the theme of the place and the tables are from ikea. We took our dog and paid for the privilege however had to follow up for the dog bed and bowls. No welcome card, they put a letter through the door on the last day and wrote 'Mr' instead of 'Miss'. Room service food is not great, the fries were cold and pretty hard. Small world problems I know but for the price, there are better places to stay.

Amazing experience, very kids friendly . Staff are very helpful and friendly especially Jackie and Chris. All restaurants have fabulous food.

we loved each moment there, the villa is really amazing with everything you need, the view was breath taking. from the moment we arrived till the last second the staff were taking good care of us. different type of restaurants serving all kind of food really it is an amazing resort that we will come back for it for sure

Wonderful island and great beach villa

Great resort

Wonderful resort, I stayed in a one bedroom villa, it was great, especially the private tool. The ease of check-in and check-out. The staff were great and the service was excellent. The beach is beautiful and clean. I will repeat the experience again. Thank you all, especially to Jaqulelyn, for her kind treatment while arranging the reservation.

Beautiful beach villa with our own pool and beach , just the right size island to walk or bike to restaurants and other pools and beaches. Very friendly staff and very accommodating to our needs and requests.

Amazing Stay - Maldives in the UAE

We had an amazing 2-night stay at Zaya Nurai for my wifes special birthday. The resort, staff, private villa and in-room dining were amazing - the only slight downside was the dinner at Dusk restaurant which was under-whelming and average by the rest of the resorts standards. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a taste of luxury and relaxation.

From beginning to end the service and atmosphere was just so amazing. I hired a beach villa for my best friends birthday. Lindo was amazing with the plan. The villa was exquisite, the food and ambience was a delight. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Hotel canceled our prepaid stay after first night

Quick check-in, smooth transport, very nice villa, friendly personnel. We prepaid 3 nights in Beach Villa, everything seemed perfect until the next morning when we found an envelop with check out details under our door. When I went to the reception, the same staff that was present during the checkin told me that because of a private event, the rest of the stay is canceled and that they thought somebody told us as they know it for a few days already... A nightmare! The property is beautiful, villa, beach, sea, privacy – anything you want from a getaway you can get there.

very luxuries rooms with beautiful view where you can see the sun rise from the sea. the villa decoration is very unique. large rooms. very clean pool with access to the beach.

Bad service, worst food

The worst service I have got at my stay. Asked for doctor at 2am and they said the doctor is sleeping and cant wake him up. The food is really bad there and when we complained they brought the chef and the chef brought the cooker and we end up just leave the problem. Asked them to see the manager and the reception said manager is off for the weeknd.

Worst staff service

I booked this hotel for a birthday surprise but it turned out awful.. They didn't show up with the cake and the set up. I was so disappointed with the service and when I called and complained about it they just response that they well level up their service. This hotel just ruined my surprise to my partner and didn't do a thing to fix it and ignoring my calls. And yes they just showed up with a balloons that they threw Beside the door, how professional!!!

Great Resort and Great Service!

Its was a lively experience at this outstanding resort! I highly recommend it!

So close, but not quite there yet

Could easily have been the best hotel in the UAE but the quality of the finishings was poor, the paint was peeling in many places, the road was not paved properly, food was ok but massively over priced and staff needed much more training. Really wanted to love this hotel, but just like it. Think they would benefit from getting an international hotel manager (four seasons, ritz, st Regis etc...) to run the place.

Wonderful Stay

It was a great experience ... very romantic for a couples to get away from the crowds and the stress of every day activities... I would like to have more options in food selection and also to consider a way to make the pool more private.

heaven on earth

To say the least, Zaya Nurai is a piece of heaven. Every single detail is amazing. The villa is a dream. Everything is so clean and well organized. We were surprised by the elegance, the beauty, the generosity, the serenity and the spirit of the place. The magical lounge music all over the island. The food is yummy. The staff are of high caliber. We were welcomed by the beautiful smile of the amazing professional and sweet Issa who engraved happiness in our stay. To keep the best for the last, Nabil. He is the secret guy behind the best Chicha we ever had in our lives. He is like a Chicha PH.D. With a beautiful happy and welcoming spirit. I can't wait to go back to Zaya Nurai!

The hotel is in a fantastic location, and the design is great. It is however let down by the finishings. Had an issue with hot water and lighting so had to call out facilities twice

Amazing

Perfect for a romantic getaway

The Island, the beach, the pool and the beach villas are beautiful, very well designed and maintained. I've been to Maldives a few times and this is as close as it gets which the beautiful sandy beach and the resort covering the whole island. The privacy of the pool area in the beach villas was not as i imagined, as the villas are built on a stretch of beach forming a gulf which makes them somehow facing each other but at a distance. We only tried the Nurai terrace restaurant, which needs to have more selections on the menu, and the breakfast selection should be better for such an expensive resort.

What is advertised on the website about the spa is not accurate. What is written in the hotel directory about the one to one training with the fitness instructor is not accurate. Their is only a male yoga and fitness trainers so given that I am female local (from the uae) I cudn't avail this. The resort shud do more to accommodate the local culture.

Extremely bad service

The hotel is nice, however the service is below ZERO ... very bad service... when we arrive to the island there was no body to welcome us to give us refreshment ... then at the time of the check in the room was not ready... when we ordered food they took forever to serve it ,, and we found a hair in the burger ,,, we also asked the reception to get us something and they didn't get it to us and when we asked about it they said oh sorry we forgot to send it to your room.. and we asked to talk with the hotel manager (Steven) to complain about the service.. he was rude as well and was not cooperative with us at all

Veldig fint sted. Villaen var perfekt størrelse og med nydelig badeng og strand. Den eneste dårlig overraskelse var at vi måtte betale ekstra for båtturen t/fra hotellet og at Hotels.com informerte oss ikke om dette.

Le meilleur hôtel que j’ai fais, l’endroit est paradisiaque. Le service est au top je dirais même excellent ils sont aux petits soins, très réactif. Je ne peux que les remercier pour le séjour que j’ai passé et je vous le recommande à tous. Ce sont les meilleurs

Beautiful place

Wonderful, peaceful environment and great, spacious villas. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The only thing that was not up to the standards of the luxurious hotel was the food. The restaurants and food was ok, but in a luxurious hotel like this and with the price level of the restaurants you would expect far better culinary experience.
