Great Hotel

Lovely new hotel close to the city center. Just a couple of mins walk to train and tram and only a few stops. Flave is a restaurant situated in hotel. Breakfast is great and worth purchasing plenty of options. Very clean modern and efficient. Would stay here again.

The flush was leaking, reported and then after fixing the water flow was not good. Property was convenient to walk to and from office in Erika Mann street. Breakfast spread was average with very less vegetarian options. For this reason I skipped 2 days even after paying for it.

I stayed for 4 nights and there was no housekeeping service for 1 night. I discovered the problem only very late in the evening after coming back to the room from an all day trip. By then it was too late to address the problem with the front desk. Only there was no body lotion available at all which is typically a basic and standard amenity offered by all hotels. The staff could also have been friendlier at checkin and checkout. My first time and last time to stay at this hotel.

Nice and clean. Very convenient

Our reason for booking this hotel was the walkability to Oktoberfest. This is in a great location. We also were able to walk to the city center. Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel and its amenities.

(almost) Everything was perfect, staff was very friendly and rooms were lovely. very convenient walk, only complaint is that we wanted to get breakfast at the hotel, which we were happy to pay for, but it was a pay-in-advance breakfast for 28 euros which I found to be exceedingly over-priced.

An oasis after a long day of travel! We stayed for 3 nights and loved everything. Comfortable rooms, very clean, great location but the cherry on top is the amazing breakfast! Wow. What a spread!

Parking and breakfast fees

Some service issues. Explanations about parking fees and breakfast fees were misleading. Especially annoying was the fact that you had to reserve breakfast everyday in order to receive discounted fee.

This was our first stay in a Novotel and we will definitely use this chain again. Super quiet and comfortable room, nice lobby, easy check in.

Excellent everything

Good location only 4 tram stations from the central station. Clean, quiet and friendly service. Downside is the A/C which has been limited to help the environment. While that is of course very noble, I would like to be able to make that decision myself.

Nice hotel, clean and modern, convenient

Great stay, the beds were nice, sort of like memory foam. The lobby was nice, the sandwich was excellent, foosball table was fun though only of moderate quality and with some broken pieces. The gym was functional, some free weights, a machine, and a number of exercise bikes. Everything was clean, housecleaning did a great job, loved the hotel overall and enjoyed the convenience of the location.

The most outdated room I ever had. So outdated it was modern and super rustic elegant. Fantastic stay and breakfast

Room was not ready for check in. Unclear the policy of how many adults can stay in room. We were told room was for 4 pp but not 3 adults. reserved a room with sleeper sofa and was not given that room initially. Was told I needed to pay an extra $400 for a second room for 3rd adult. Also was told I was to receive email with receipt after stay and I never did. Staff was not helpful with booking reservations at restaurants or with directions to places

Close to the train station. Clean rooms, but did not get room service, unsure if I need to request that. Parking was 24 Euros /day. Staff spoke English. The garage was not full, so there was room for parking. The suana was nice, but there was no robes. The rooms did not have conditioner. Would stay here again.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Tram stop just a short walk. Sauna and mini gym good. Not much choice in restaurant but food we had was good quality. Didn’t try the breakfast. Room was too warm at times and unable to control temperature ourselves. Called reception said it was centrally operated and gave us a window key. Our room was facing the road so very noisy with window open. Overall would recommend though.

Very comfortable hotel. Beautiful sauna. Unfortunately room and bed way too hot, had to leave windows open so waste of energy and noisy. Bar staff may need to learn to smile.

Do not recommend if traveling with a family. For the onsite restaurant, It says it offers a kids menu, but they are full-size adult priced dishes. They also forgot our food one night. We asked an hour after they gave our kids their food (since we asked for theirs to come first) and they were rude to us and didn't come back for another 30 min with cold food and a check. Our child got sick in the hotel room and when we called down for help, they were dismissive and never told anyone to help clean our room. We had to wait 4 hours until they did their normal routine to help us. I mentioned this at check out and they said oh, sorry and moved on. Also, horrible location if you are with small kids and want to walk to places, so do not pick this place for location. Please take off family friendly hotel. Will not return and will not recommend.

I booked my room through Expedia very late on the night I wanted to stay. When I arrived at the hotel, there was no room for me! It took over an hour for the desk clerk to find a room. After that, all went smoothly. They comped my breakfast for the inconvenience.

OK hotel. Rooms are small but clean. Staff were friendly. Not many on-site dining options, but there are some good options in the nearby neighborhood. On-site parking is super expensive with 24 euros per night. Public transportation to tourist attraction quarter is convenient. A bit pricey given the amenities.

In general, the Novotel is very good with comfortable rooms and excellent staff. The shower base is pretty slippery and there are no grab bars, so if, like me, you don't want to fall, you have to be careful. There is a lot of public transportation in the area which is helpful because you aren't right in the old city. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast buffet here is very good as well.

Great hotel. Very quiet, spacious rooms and bathrooms. Really comfortable beds and pillows. Dinner was fabulous and the breakfast was fantastic. Staff were really helpful. It was a bit of a walk from the station, but you can catch a tram. Cabs and ubers are very difficult in the morning.

Great stay

It was the very good and the breakfast was amazing, it had so many types of food available!!! It’s also very close to the station, so you can easily get into the old town, the beds are very computer, and the showers are sooo warm!!!

We arrived 3 hours earlier than expected and just wanted to drop off our bags as check in was later in the day, but we were happy to be told that they let us check in early (when we signed up for free to membership) which was a amazing bonus to give us more time to explore Müchin! :) The only floor to point out was the air conditioning was only able to be put to 21•c as the lowest. The room refused to cool below 21.5•c, after calling repetition they offered to give us a key to open the windows fully or call a technician which would take a couple days to be fixed. This isn’t a major issue but it made for a slightly high temperature to comfortably sleep in. We can’t comment on the breakfast as it was out of our budget at $35.66 AU . Otherwise the bed was the best we had slept in hotels(we love a firm bed) and the free fruit was a lovely extra!

Great place to stay when visiting central Munich

Novotel Arnulfpark is a great place to stay when visiting Munich. They are conveniently located next to both the train stop (5 min walk), tram (6 minute walk) or bus stop (8 minute walk). You can easily go to downtown Munich within 15 minutes, but avoid the crazy crowds or downtown traffic. The parking garage in the hotel is adequate and well lit. Their desk is open 24/7 downstairs and they are prompt to respond to your inquiries. The rooms are clean, well-lit, and most importantly- QUIET. I stayed on the same floor as the business conference center and couldn't hear a thing coming from it. It was great. The beds were comfortable and I would 100% recommend staying here again.

Avoid - the service was terrible with a horrible attitude. From check-in to check-out the staff were rude and obnoxious.

The rooms were clean and very modern. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly however we were misinformed about breakfast upon our arrival. We were told it was €18 for the three days, not €18 per day. We even asked for clarification as it seemed very cheap and he again said it was €18 for the three days. Just in future the staff need to make sure they are clear in what they say so there is no confusion.

Half-pipe ping-pong!

We stayed there at the end of our 3-week European travel by car (well, we stayed mostly at my father-in-law's house in Toscana). We had two babies and it was very difficult to find a hotel room that can accommodate 4 people in Munich (most rooms are for two adults plus a child, not two children), and Novotels are among a few that offer 4-person rooms. It located near Arnufpark close to the city center and right next to a major streetcar station and near a big shopping centre. We did not go out much since our flights was early on next day, and we stayed mostly inside the hotel. There is a "half-pipe" ping-pong table in the bar. which is highly addictive! We could have played for hours if we had not had to fly next day.....And breakfast is very nice. Indeed, it was so nice that we took too long...Then, we missed our flight......We drove there (we had a rent-a-car), and street parking is almost impossible although that area has very rare free street parking. Hotel charges 18 euro for parking, but driving in Munich is anyway a bad idea..Overall, we had very good time, and I recommend this hotel if you stay in Munich.

Modern flash hotel with large rooms and great bathroom! The location should have been better as the train line outside was out-of-service, luckily it was only 200m to the bus stop to town or 400m to the sub-way.

The hotel is a little way out if the main area of Munich but is right next to an S-bahn on the main line so very easily accessible but quieter than central.

Whilst overall the hotel and staff were excellent, the hotel has deducted 100 Euros from my account as a pre-authorisation, which has yet to be returned.

1. No Air conditioning in the room. In spite of me complaining to the front desk, they had promised to provide a fan but that never happened even after multiple requests. 2. Double charge on credit card. I had booked through Expedia and paid Expedia. The hotel has again charged my credit card for the entire stay. In spite of complaining, the hotel negated they have done that charge. I have sent the credit card statement to them. 3. Check out took 20 minutes... Very slow..Inefficient staff 4. Only a good part... Location is decent 5. No value for the money paid

The room is very comfortable, but a bit smaller than I expected for a family. The shower is amazing, staff very helpful, breakfast is really good. Huge variety of food. I loved it. It's nice that they have a space for the kids, with games and other things to keep them busy. Also the hotel is well presented with a modern decoration. I enjoyed it and would definitely come back.

Family short stay

Air con in room wasn’t able to cool the room enough - we were told this was because of external temperatures. This affected quality of sleep. We had dinner in the hotel one evening and felt it was over priced. Apart from this we really enjoyed our stay, the breakfast was particularly good.

Had to cancel last minute, my brother was diagnosed with cancer so I canceled my trip. I was refunded 10% of the total cost. I understand that it was not within their cancellation time but it was Oktoberfest and they were going to book the room again. Unlikely that I’ll book here again.

The breakfast was outstanding. THe rooms were very clean and comfortable, although some people in our group had difficulty with their air conditioning. I would have preferred a bar area without lots and lots of kids running around. I felt the staff could have been friendlier.

Good location, modern quiet room, AC needs upgrade

Apart the "climate friendly" central air conditioning system that was barely managing to keep the room cool, the room was quiet, pleasant, clean and the staff was very helpful. We had free mini-bar for the duration of our stay (don't know if part of the rate, or simply part of the service - it was a welcome addition). The restaurant lacks choice and we found the breakfast to be too expensive (we didn't have it at the hotel because of this), but otherwise a nice hotel to stay at. Wifi was very good and usable.
