Birthday weekend
Hotel did not acknowledge my birthday even when i gave them prior notice before my arrival. Water and tea was not replenished in the room. Breakfast was ok would have liked more options. Requesteda boil egg to be made to order this was declined Staff didnt appear very friendly. Room was comfortable.
They gave us the wrong room from our booking, limited parking inside the hotel space. Carpet in hallways are black and dirty. Room service food 🍱 in hallways for 5 or more hours…
Nice and very convenient place. Rooms are spacious and clean, the only issue is the entrance of the hotel is very inconspicuous and makes it look less welcoming. Overall, a very good value
Amazing
Amazing hotel, conveniently located..
Ice facilities and Easy access to tram and metro plus parking makes it the best option for staying in Lyon
Very clean and comfortable rooms. Front desk was always busy and difficult to get information from representatives.
Great place to stay
Helpful to have safe parking with reasonable rates associated with our hotel stay. Very walkable area with the navette just outside the hotel to take into the city center as a fun way to travel, or one could walk along the river. If you like shopping the hotel is located in the Confluence which has lots of stores. However I thought the restaurant choices and their hours at the Confluence could be greatly improved.
I book executive room and accidentally have to open standard room upfront because they say can’t do extra bed for third person for room that can stay 3 people !? That’s fine for me but the executive room and standard room is completely same. So why call executive !!? And also far far away from everything in Lyon
Good, clean hotel right next door to the mall.
Although not central, easy parking, shopping, great for our dog, river view and walks. Would stay again.
The location was great and the rooms were really nice.
Very nice and clean hotel. 15 min from everything but easy to get to. Hotel seems pretty new, spacious, has everything you need. Clean, nice bathroom, comfy bed. The service at the restaurant is crappy, I suggest going to the shopping mall that’s a five min walk. The restaurant is expensive and the service is slow.
Shower had mold! The room was very loud, it felt like the windows were open when they weren't. The a/c didn't work. Overall a disappointment of hotel.
Love the property but the AC didn’t properly and the room was hot.
The air conditioner wasn’t working, hotel staff brought us a fan and told us to open the window. Noise outside won’t let us sleep. Needless to say that it ruined our stay at Lyon.
Property entrance is from way back and was not easily accessible for first timers. If more boards could be put then bwtter
Clean and stylish with a great complimentary breakfast. There is an adjoining mall with restaurants and stores. We walked to the museum and jumped on the Hop On Hop Off bus and toured the city. It was a wonderful way to see Lyon in a day. Highly recommended!!
Immaculate hotel, great restaurant, friendly staff
Very friendly staff, good room size with everything you need, clean and tidy and good value for money considering the location (inside the Confluence Shopping Mall)
This was by far the best hotel we stayed in for our two week trip in France. The hotel was connected to an outdoor shopping mall with lots of places to eat and enjoy. The hotel itself was spacious, clean and child/toddler friendly. They had a play area for children and the manager even gave my son some soft toys to play with. The restaurant food and bar were excellent. And finally the view of the Saone from our room was perfect.
No e. Vehicle charging is available in the hotel parking. The gym is ridiculously small for a 4 stars. Dinner service not attentive. And room damn cold. 19 degrees are a joke.
Great hotel, perfect location, lovely staff, will stay again.
1
The staff was not very helpful entering this property after 6 PM. Signage is terrible; they have a desk inside the shopping mall but no signage to indicate that you actually need to be on the top floor to find a staff member after 6 PM. The carpets also need a clean. Just be aware. Very disappointing.
Stay Somewhere Else
Not the best at all. It’s was 29 Celsius when we stayed. Dispute asking several times the air conditioning doesn’t work in any of the rooms, it is purposefully switch off or on an extremely low setting. It was like someone breathing on you. The balcony has to be booked as it is a restaurant open to the general public and we were asked to move, the toilets were dirty, covered in puke. The black-out curtains in our room had holes in and coffee stains. No milk or regular tea in the room. There are better hotels in Lyon.
The staff's attitudes are horrible, rigid and totally lacking any customer service
Family long weekend break to Lyon
A safe and secure property next to a decently sized shopping mall and Carrefour. The property was well maintained and in a recently developed, modern part of Lyon - close to the river. A pleasant and safe area to walk around at night. The main retail shopping area and old town are walkable, although quite far - but accessible by a short tram/metro ride. Parking was safe and convenient with access via a lift to the hotel. Reasonable value for money at EUR10 per night. The Breakfast provided a reasonably extensive choice of cooked food and continental patisserie, meats, cereals coffee/teas/juices etc.. The rooms and general areas were very clean and well maintained. The only negative was the room was very hot at night - air conditioning not working properly and opening the window had little effect despite being 7-9 degrees outside at night and 22 degrees during the day. In summary, I would recommend this hotel as a safe, clean, quiet place to stay, especially if arriving by car. I would stay again if I ever returned to Lyon on a family holiday.
Wonderful place
Amazing hotel and I love the idea of going straight from the hotel lobby/restaurant and walk into the shopping mall. Massive room with a queue size bed and the sofa on the side. Very enjoyable stay at this hotel.
Stayed 2 nights on 25th & 26th of Dec/21. The room and the breakfast was overall good, the shower gel dispenser did not work which was attended immediately, but the safe which did not work as well was never attended. The elevator did not work once which was fixed later, but had to walk up the stairs. My key card did not work, so had to re-set which was done, but had to wait for at least 10 minute at the reception, which had a long queue. It seemed the reception and the restaurant were understaffed.
Not worth it
The room is not so clean, barely had bathroom essentials we had to call and ask for everything. It was noisy, bed was uncomfortable and the room was so cold ! No heater. Connecting door to the mall was closed. Front desk were helpful and friendly that’s the only good thing.
Nice place with a nice view at the terrace and easy access to a shopping mall where you can buy your needs easily and have different restaurant options.
Smart modern hotel in leisure complex. Presented in good state by friendly efficient staff.
Peoperty is well maintained. Everything works accordingly. Staff is the main attraction for my return. Breakfast is very good, variety and quality are noticeable.
New hotel, unfortunately the staff doesn't speak english or spanish and that is not the only problem they are also not very friendly. Breakfast ends at 9:40am too early when I got there to eat there was almost nothing. AC didn't work, woke up at the middle of the night due to sweating. I regret my stayed becaused it is expensive. Definitely if you are a tourist go somewhere else whete you will feel welcomed. Also I never got my hotel receipt.. waiting to see if they will remove the $180 euro deposit. Not even in the best hotels in other countries or USA ask for such a big deposit. Stay away friends.
What a beautiful hotel. I loved that there was a parking garage and there was a shopping center connected to it. The staff were so friendly and lovely. I can’t say enough about it. We really enjoyed our stay here and wish it was more than 1 night.
The hotel in general is a nice place. But the bed we had was lousy.
Minibar was left very dirty. Bedding sheet had a big stain. Towels are worn out. Surfaces not left clean with hairs, etc.
Good service at restaurant
The restaurant staff was amazing! Helpful and exceptional!
Really good
601 was a lovely quiet room. The reception staff were great. The location is not charming or historic but very practical-- near transport and in a shopping centre I used to stay here often, but stopped after a couple of problems; it seems now to have got much better
Modern living
The Hotel is ideally located in the Confluence area within walking to the historic center of Lyon and the river cruises on both Rhône and Saone. The restaurant serves delicious breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the whole area. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. I would highly recommend it.
Nice and well located hotel. Very good for business.
Well located. Easy parking access. Very modern and clean rooms. Great and friendly staff.
Room was fine. Bed could have been ore comfortable. Weird area. New commercial development that is quiet and doesn’t really work. Empty restaurants in the area were concerning. Mall closes early. Stayed in the fall. Maybe the summer is busier. Layout of the hotel is weird too. Breakfast was terrible. Expected a lot more from a Novotel.
It was one of the best decisions ,to be away from the downtown Lyon, The location is great we got to experience new side of the city ‘‘this is our third time Overall love it
The location is very interesting - but noisy. Right next to the river and people seem to congregate there after dark.
Good family choice
Good hotel, connecting rooms , parking on location ,just ok breakfast, missing vegetables, coffee can be better. Sits on a shopping mall with direct connection, very convenient. Will return
Modern hotel in a good location
Advantages of this hotel: 1. Air-conditioning 2. Availability of a room for 3 with separate beds for a reasonable price 3. Right at the shopping mall 4. Modern, beautiful and comfortable Confluence area of Lyon Cons: 1. It is not exactly the center of the old city. About 20 minutes walk. 2. No metro station nearby For us, the pros strongly outweighed the cons. we were very satisfied with the stay.
Clean, modern and in a good location to explore Lyon. We were there during a heat wave (100's), and ended up eating dinner and breakfast in the immediate area; there are many food establishments nearby. The hotel is attached to a mall (shops and restaurants/mostly fast-food) and it was easy getting on and off the highway in our car. Parking in the underground lot was a bit confusing, but the parking attendants went out of their way to help us.
Property in area of restaurants and shopping mall. Supermarket also. Pleasant location by water. Easy to get transport to other areas. Nice rooftop bar but a little pricey. Strangely noise at 2-3 a.m. from teenagers playing on electric scooters etc outside of rooms with river view and this didn't seem an isolated occasion as it happened on all of the three nights of our stay. Not sure the hotel can influence this in any way, suggest not opting for the river view side rooms if you are a light sleeper.
Very nice restaurant with good food good parking and new building
We want to return!
Wonderful experience. Excellent location! Superb staff. Breakfast outstanding.
Good hotel
Good location with parking. Connect it to the mall so there are several options to eat and shop.
Nice clean hotel neat shopping mall, has parking lot nearby. Room was comfy and spacious. Would recomend.
Clean and fairly quiet. Most staff speak good English. Nice location in the Confluence Mall with lots of dining options. Bathroom sink and tub had terrible drains. Both filled up quickly when using.
Great Stay
It is a very modern hotel located right at the Confluence Shopping Center which is in a modern area of Lyon. You have direct access to the shops from the hotel. The bar is really nice and it has an amazing view of the Saone River. My room also had a great view and it was very clean, the staff was friendly and the hotel was really modern. The only downside is that if you want to go out of the Confluence area, it can be kinda difficult. Not a metro station nearby. You will have to do a bit of a walk. But the hotel is very well located within Confluence.
Great hotel - location, amenities, etc. I only wish the restaurant was open later / food was available after hours.
Good hotel but terrible catering
The hotel is good. The catering (both dinner and breakfast) is both terrible and chaotic. The lack of or incompetence of the catering manager (and restaurant/bar shift mangers is obvious. Don’t eat in the hotel.
Excellent hotel!!! Great service!!!! Rooms were amazing, modern and spacious!!!
Luxury in Lyon
Lovely hotel with helpful staff. Great space to hang around with a spacious terrace. Location is good and parking facility is great.
Very nice and clean hotel
Very nice and clean hotel, good value for money and good breakfast
Large clean new rooms Cold AC Professional staff Good room facilities Parking service available
Great hotel in Lyon. Super comfortable family stay with great amenities and shops on the doorstep - directly connected to the Confluence Shopping Centre.
Great!
A lovely hotel, great room and modern en suite, all situated centrally in Lyon and with on site parking. Great!
Nice hotel in popular area
Nice hotel my Novotel standards. Location is great , check in and staff at reception was great . Room service / restaurant staff weren’t the most convenient or nice but that’s a small complaint . Would stay here again .
Nice Hotel, good location.
I had an enjoyable stay at this hotel, very friendly, helpful staff, the hotel is in a good location for shops, restaurants etc.
Awful bed, staff and experience. AVOID!!!
Awful, service, unhelpful staff. Disinterested in what they do or your comforts. Couldn't wait to get rid of us. The bed was broken and when i asked for a different room they said they didn't have any? Instead they offered me 2 vouchers for a drink in their bar? Because apparently an uncomfortable sleep is made better by two drinks? i said that's not a solution he took the vouchers back off me and said there was nothing he could do. If you do decide to go here (for whatever reason) don't pay for the breakfast as they don't check and there were guests at a table next to us bragging how they did not pay and were getting it free, while we looked like mugs! Oh and the food was awful. Cold bland tasteless try food in FRANCE!!! A country that prides itself as a leader in food, is represented by this? The staff look like they were forced to work without pay, absolutely no interest in what they did. On checkout i was asked if i enjoyed my stay i said no and he said, "Well thats good, Sir". No listening skills at all. There are so many other hotels in the vicinity i don't know why anyone would ever stay here.
Fantastic Hotel in Lyon
Great hotel in Lyon. Breakfast was very good. Excellent service at the front desk. Nice room and the best was the location in the confluence area next to the Confluence shopping mall.
Brand new hotel. Area is under renewal so a little sketchy but hotel itself was very good. Breakfast was expensive.
The hotel is not centrally located. However tramway is very close by. Takes about 20 Minutes to get into town centre.
Perfect for family stop over!
The room for a family is really well designed for parents and kids traveling. The location is perfect and very practical for access to main roads, shopping and all the Lyon attractions!
Difficult to get in do to construction, but was close to everything
GREAT Location
Everything was easy...from underground parking to taking the boat into Lyon
Good to stay
Nice location, good breakfast, quite room , , soft mattress, good to recommend !
Almost perfect
Almost perfect, 1st night lack of training and criteria of hostess. Reluctant to allow a table for two in a table for four, although restaurant was empty and with no reservations. I had to ask To replenish minibar an supply a bathrobe once in 7 days. Other than that, perfect
Convenient, Clean, close to public transportation
The hotel is very close to the public transportation to the center of Lyon. It's clean and very convenient. There is a large mall next to it where one can do a little shopping or go the movies. There is also a food court within the shopping complex.
Great hotel and location
Great hotel, secure hotel parking and perfect location
Beautiful room, excellent staff, everything you could ask for in a hotel.
Lost in time
The hotel has an air of modernism from the 1980's. The decor is all faux wood laminate and fluorescent lighting. It is quirky at first, but becomes uncomfortable after a little while. The location is not good... it is a long walk to anything of interest (though it is a nice walk, along the rivers.) I ended up using Uber a lot. Staff was friendly, and the room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. It was just too far away from Vieux Ville, the shopping areas of the Presqu'ile, and basically anything I was interested in seeing.
Nice hotel and nice location.
It was a very pleasant experience. I will stay again for sure
Pleasant Surprise
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and tidy and the service was exceptional. The room was small but apparently most hotel rooms in Paris are small. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home.
Amazing location next to the river
We really can't fault this hotel at all. Check-in was super fast and friendly, the room overlooked the river (as requested) and the view was stunning. Very secure parking.
Good Value, little out of the way
Good Value for France Modern and very Clean 35 minute ride to airport (Lyon) Hotel is just a little out of the way, next to shopping center..but that's about it. 25 minute walk to central lyon. If looking to walk around, and looking to explore by foot I would stay somewhere different next time.
Friendly staff
We stayed two weeks at the hotel and were very pleased. Room was clean, staff is friendly and helpful, and location was fine. We liked being connected to shopping mall, and the refrigerator in our room helped us keep our food costs down.
New area of shops and restaurants
Overall pleasant except the restaurant in the hotel is not very good. the food not well cooked (bearing in mind this s Lyon expected better - duck overcooked and not rendered and club sandwich was cold). The waiters were very diffident , more interested in admin than serving. It may be better to eat elsewhere- lots of restaurants in the vicinity
Nice hotel in new community
Had a very nice stay. Rooms are new, clean, comfortable, roomy. Shops and supermarket right in the complex.
Lyon for a night
Hotel was very clean and welcoming. Parking under the hotel in a secure location with shops and bars in the same location. I paid extra for a river view which I felt was worthwhile.
Great view if you chose the river view
Got slightly confused by the underground parking as initially didn't figure how to get in the separate hotel part. On leaving it doesn't give you long to move after you put the ticket in so might be a problem for those less able. The location is great as there is a tram to get into the centre and the local shopping centre or water boats and walk
Excellent value for money. Well located.
Easy to get to in public transport from airport Close to restaurants. Easy to get to sights, walk or via public transport. Beautiful city.
Very attractive views of the Soane
Attractive architecture. Good restaurants and shops nearby and a new shopping mall with the ubiquitous Starbucks. Transport is convenient with a newish tramway, which takes you conveniently to the metro and major sites in the city. There is also a new museum nearby that has both permanent and temporary exhibits that are marvelously presented. Wonderful views of the river and pleasant walks along the river's bank.
Excellent hotel to recover from jet lag after a long flight from Australia. Very helpful staff, best Novotel breakfast ( and we have stayed in many Novotels), enjoyed being in the Confluence area.
stop over on our way to Paris
The hotel is within a big commercial center. It is good for business but not for vacation because of the neighborhood. It was perfect for our stop over diving to Paris due to its easy access to the highway. The hotel is in perfect condition. The staff is very efficient. My room looked over the river and the few was pretty. The only thing that I did not like for the mattress which was too firm for my taste and my joints.
Excellent Confluences hotel
Excellent hotel good location for Confluences, secure parking at reasonable cost, accepts dog easy access from motorway
Confortable, spacious rooms. Excellent location. Adequate service.
Excellent location -- easy access to wherever I needed to go. Very convenient by the side of a shopping center.
Good hotel for business
Have stayed here several times. Good, clean, modern hotel. Away from the centre of Lyon but a pleasant enough redevelopment area. I did not indulge, but if shopping is your thing, then this is right next door to a large shopping mall.
A modern hotel close to conveniences
Comfortable and functional room. Well insulated. Good wifi. Great view of the river if you stay on that side. Right next to a mall and hypermarket. Few minutes walking distance to tramway station, so extremely convenient for getting around. Good walks/jogs along the river front.

There are 4 cardio machines in the exercise room. Three of the four did not work for the 3 1/2 days I stayed here. The temperature in the exercise room was always over 25 degrees. Our room was far too warm. I attempted to adjust the thermometer in the room without success. When I asked at the desk about turning the temperature down, I was told that cannot be done. I was told all the rooms have to be on the heat setting or all the rooms had to be on the cold setting. The hotel was on the heat setting so there was nothing that could be done to cool down our room. The thermostat in my room could not make the room any cooler. For 3 1/2 days, either our room was too hot or we had to have the window wide open. This is a newly constructed hotel and there is essentially no control over the temperature of an individual room. Strange - and uncomfortable.
