It’s located on top of the train station. Close to all shipping areas. Got the hotel for one day. I told the front desk I was only there for 6 hours and if they can accommodate me with the hotel before 3 pm and they said no. The time was 1pm. The hotel was spacious and it was clean.

Great staff and great accommodations. Will definitely stay here again.

Comfortable stay

Great welcome at check in. Easy to walk to the old town and right next to the train station. There was a little bit of train noise but not disruptive. The parking garage doors were too small for our larger car to fit through so we ended up using the adjacent underground garage, which ended up being less expensive than the hotel parking. Clean room, comfortable bed. Nice to have air conditioning in the very warm weather.

Nice well managed hotel which is very close to the railway and bus station and a short walk to the town centre. Good food and a decent bar.

The staff at the hotel were all super helpful and friendly. The check in/out was simple and efficient. The room was quiet and comfortable. The bar staff were exceptionally good, and encouraged me to practice my French on them. The food in the restaurant was also very good, the service was very good.

Perfect location in center of the town

Great weekend stay. The beds were very comfortable. Convenient location for Annecy and links to other locations. Breakfast had plenty of options. I would recommend.

The room was directly OVER the railway station tracks. So, noisy. The hotel was generally tired in its appearance. The staff were fine, but not that professional in their overall abilities. There was no parking available when we arrived. The gentleman behind the desk in the t shirt eating a sandwich directly us to a parking lot a 10 minute walk away. The a/c controller did not work and the internet was very very slow. The breakfast in the morning was generally good. Overall very disappointing!!!

Whatever I asked the staff to fix in the room, they did immediately, so I could enjoy my stay

Just short and rude. We spoke french but they simply didnt want to let us. Asking for charges that were included. No coffee in room.

The Novotel was well located in the middle of town, close to the shopping area. I was very disappointed with the service. We got to the room late and when I asked for help opening the pullout chair, which was not easy, the initial answer was that the maid service was gone. Someone came quickly, but we had to make the extra bed ourselves. We also did not get enough towels. The hotel parking was terrible. I would recommend going straight to the railway station parking. Nobody asked us about our stay when we checked out. It was not a four star service.

Check in time was very late at 5 pm and the room was over a railway line which was very noisy when a train passed.

Very nice hotel. Location is excellent and walkable to many attractions. The first night, we had concern with A/C (hot). Spoke to the reception/management & truly was awesome experience; they were welcoming & understanding; within couple of hours moved us to a new room with better A/C. I highly recommend this place, excellent customer experience, great location. We want to thank the team there, the guys at the bars & Ms. Lucilla specially.

Nice place to stay but close to train station so a bit noise from time to time.

Restaurant was fully booked and could not eat there and everything else around there was also fully booked. Just because you were a Hotel guest they would not accommodate us. They would not let us checkin before 3 pm even though the hotel was not that busy.

This hotel is clean; in mint condition offer all on site and perfectly located minutes away from downtown, restaurent, shopping and and activities around the lake

Nice business hotel, good bedroom (417) in the corner and close to Annecy center. Staff could improve their atitude, namely during check out.

Don't stay here if you're a light sleeper.

This hotel is ABOVE where the train goes from the station. That is to say - the train goes directly underneath the hotel. We were on the 4th floor and from 4am every time a train went underneath the hotel SHOOK and it was extremely noisy as the train then goes into a tunnel opposite the bedroom windows! When we mentioned this in the morning even the receptionist said 'I do wonder what the architect was thinking'. It's a good location but the entrance is at the back so it's actually not super easy to get to.

Very nice hotel. Big spacious rooms. A lot of options for breakfast. Tiny parking - if I would had a bigger car, I would not even get through garage door.

Room was average size but very comfortable. Large TV was a plus. The restaurant had an "eclectic" but very limited menu...only ate there once.

Upon check in, our room was not ready. I was told they’d phone me when iit was, no call was made. The following day, the room took all day to clean. Returned at 4pm to find our room still had. It been cleaned so had to wait down stairs until it was. The outside area of the hotel has some real potential but as it stands has been left to grow. The hotel would benefit from a pool area there - has the space but not the vision. Disappointed for. a Novotel hotel.

Didn't like the key cards as had to change mine 4 times on arrivsl as it would not work and once the next morning. Staff were very friendly and polite and the buffet breakfast was superb with a vast array of items.

We took the superior room for 2 adults and 2 children. the room was good but a little small for 4. very clean. the hotel is renovated nicely. The staff is very nice, kind and helpful. the location is excellent. in a few minutes walk from the center. Parking in the hotel is not free and you cannot park a car above 1.9 meter.

The rooms were nicely renovated, but small. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. The parking is very limited and difficult to navigate even in a compact car.

This is modern hotel in a city where most properties are charming, beautiful and not up to date. Here you can get good AC, outlets in all the right places, a modern updated bathroom and the convenience of being next to the train station.

Liked the inside reception decor. Not keen on having no sink in seperate toilet. Liked breakfast but had to ask for more plates and tea strainers and lots of tables not cleared.

Very difficult to check in with the car - no clear way to stop. I ended up entering the parking garage as the only way to do it.

Disappointing and hugely overpriced

We were exceedingly disappointed with the novotel annecy Centre. The pics which we saw online when we booked were of a modern and clean hotel. It transpired that the family room was in desperswneed of renovation and indeed that there were renovation works ongoing with a constant banging directly above our room during the day. Furthermore the room as situated directly above the railway line. This was not clear when we booked. Not the standard I'd expect having paid a considerable price for the room. We will not return.

Hotel is under construction and most of the facilities are temporary. Room was a bit small for four people (2 adults and 2 kids).

Hotel is undergoing renovations so facilities weren't quite as good as hoped. Staff were pleasant and helped to make up for the shortfall in hotel conditions.

Great hotel for a good price

We were very pleased with this hotel. It was a great price and in a good location, just a short walk to the heart of Annecy. It was also a very brief walk from the bus and train station, making it very convenient as we traveled via train to Annecy. The front desk staff were very friendly and spoke English, which was helpful considering we don't speak much French! The hotel was also quiet and family friendly. We traveled with our 12 year old and 4 year old sons and the hotel worked great for us. We stayed in an executive suite as it slept 4 in one room. The breakfast was good and free for the kids. For adults it was 13 euros per person. Overall the hotel is in very good condition with new and modern looking finishes and furniture. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Annecy short break

We had a great few days at Novotel Annecy. Yes the decor is a little dated, but our room was was clean and the facilities were as you would want. Staff were friendly and helpful. The best bit about the hotel for us was it’s location, it was a 10 min stroll to the heart of the old town.

first the hotel has a weird separated toilet which is not so convenient, the the house keeping is the worst i have ever seen, didn't clean the room, didn't put towels and the room wasn't clean to be honest they didn't even bother to make the bed, the breakfast has an egg station but you have to make it for yourself never seen that before the location isn't so good, its at the end of Anncey shops and restaurants which adds 5-10 minutes walk from the nearest restaurant or shops, around 15 minutes walk from the lake, the parking is more expensive than the pubic one if you leave your car for the whole stay which is what you should do since everything in anncey is walking by

well the stay was pleasing but the location wasn't good as it is kind of far from Annecy old town which results in walking 5 to 10 minutes to get to the lake, they had for some reason a separated toilet and the breakfast was weird because they ask you to do your eggs by yourself overall this isnt a 4 star hotel and i n anncey there is many 3 star hotel with much better experiance

Great room with an interesting view!

The reception staff I spoke to were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and well maintained - it all looked quite new. The bed was comfortable although I thought the foldout bed's mattress was a little thin. My daughter said it was fine. It was only a short walk to the old part of Annecy and obviously very convenient if you're traveling by train. I didn't realise the hotel actually straddled the tracks. Sheldon would love the view we had from the window but would have been disappointed with the sound. The sound proofing meant that the train noise was a very distant rumble.

Beautiful hotel, good location

This is a lovely hotel situated right by the train station, which makes arrivals and departures super easy. It's also close to old town Annecy and the lake. The room was perfect for a short visit, and we were able to store our luggage during the day which made things very easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful and recommended restaurants and provided us with a map of the town. I would totally stay here again!

Perfect for arriving by rail

We arrived by train at 2130 in the evening and were settled into the hotel and enjoying a great evening meal within minutes. The hotel is physically linked to the hotel which is great for arriving and departing. It is a short walk to the lake for swimming etc and there is a good selection of shops and restaurants within a few minutes on foot (including an indoor shopping centre/cinema complex). The room had nice touches such as a fridge with a bottle of water in each day, a comfortable full size bath and great bed/matress/duvet/pillow. Our 6 and 7 year old loved it.

During my stay in Annecy, this was by far the best hotel available out of the 3 different hotels used during the visit.

As usual, the Novotel chain did not let our family down, comfy beds & pillows, clean, & great breakfast. Love having a fridge as very handy when travelling. Stayed here as a stop over in way to skiing holiday.

Nice hotel, in an excellent location for exploring the old town. Breakfast very expensive but local shopping centre just round the comer provided a cheaper option. The hotel is located above the train station. We weren't able to open a window for fresh air due to safety of being above the track, which meant the room did get very hot and stuffy overnight (temperature control in room didn't work well). Helpful and friendly staff. Expensive onsite parking not included in room price.

Good Choice for Lodging and Location

We chose Novotel for its convenient location 150 meters from the train station. It turned out to be a great choice all around; we enjoyed an executive room, as well as very good meals in the hotel restaurant. Staff were friendly, helpful, and were all English speakers.

Not bad but not excellent

the hotel rooms are wide and clean, thr location of the hotel is good but there is no concuerge for guidance, there is no laugage transfer, self parking in underground which is not comfortable for the guest.

Ideal if travelling by Rail

Hotel is above Annecy railway station, so if you are travelling by rail the location is very convenient, if travelling by car there is also easy parking under the hotel. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the old part of Annecy and another 5 or 10 minutes to the lake. The hotel would be perfect for a quick business trip, less so for holiday travel

Overpriced

The price which was high did not include breakfast. There was very little information in the room related to either the area or the hotel services. For the price the acommodation was small with limited hangers and little space in the bathroom to put things.
