Not All That It Seems to Be
We were disappointed by the size of the room (the shower was literally within a few feet from the right side of the bed and not part of the bathroom area) as it was much smaller than the photos indicate. We were also surprised to find that our room was not in the same building as the lobby, but in a separate building some 200 feet down the block without any lobby or common space what so ever. We were told that this was expressly pointed out on the web description. If it is, I'm missing where it is located, as I still can't find it. When advising the hotel manager of our disappointment, we were treated rudely and told that "a child could find it". Everyone has a bad day from time to time, so the rudeness is forgivable, but it doesn't alter the fact that it is not disclosed, nor does it change the fact that the room (at least in the second building) was small. On the positive side, the room had all the usual desired amenities and the property was conveniently located within a short walk to the Underground and some very good restaurants..
A great choice!
The hotel was lovely - extremely clean and the staff were, without exception, friendly, welcoming and helpful. The only downside was the sunken bath in a very enclosed space which made it difficult to get in and out of. Apart from that, we were very satisfied with the hotel.
Very good service, comfortable, clean and friendly.
Shower challenge
Interesting room with a bath in a tiny bath size room adjacent to the bed. Potentially hazardous getting in and out of the shower. Hotel room located further down the road from reception. Room clean and pleasant
Bit strange you go to reception and book in and then they take you outside cross over walk down the road to the hotel location. The rooms are very compact and noisy, you can hear the people walking around above you and rushing water down the pipes everytime they use the toilet. The bed was uncomfortable
Incredible staff...
The staff were so friendly and professional, which added a lovely air to our short, but wonderful stay there.
Loved it
Terrific location, very quiet room, great air conditioning, friendly service. Would definitely go back.
Great location easy from Euston and close to good food and tube stations
The staff was really great and welcoming. Room was clean and in good condition. Shower was a little small.
Nice hotel in a handy spot
This hotel was in a really handy spot - close to Baker Street underground, to Oxford Street for shopping and to lots of places to eat. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was warm. The staff were friendly too, saying hello whenever we went out or came back, and they also allowed us to leave a suitcase for a few hours after we checked out. Next time we go to London, we would be likely to stay at this hotel again.
Great hotel and location. Close to Oxford Street and great restaurants. The staff were very friendly. Marianna thank you for all your help!!! Highly recommend if you stay in London.
Excellent location and unique boutique hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast presentation was very stylish
Very conveniently situated. Close to Princess GrCe Hospital. Staff all charming and helpful.
Nice small hotel. Very friendly, excellent service.
Our London trip
Absolutely amazing beautiful hotel great location staff so lovely would definitely recommend
DO NOT STAY HERE! Despite reserving the appropriate number of space, this hotel tried to kick out our 10 year old child at 9 pm saying he could not stay there since the room was only for 2 adults, AND the staff took our passports downstairs/tried to keep our passports overnight. The male manager in charge was rude. This place should not be an option to stay. Period.
Good location, helpful staff, clean hotel
On my arrival I thought the place was well presented and had a very clean feel. The receptionist (Victor) was extremely helpful and accomodating. The room was pristine and very comfortable. The only slight issue was the lift which might need some updating but apart from that, I received 5 star service.
Comfortable bed, good location
The hotel was in a good location. The room was really nice, a little small but to be expected. Our room was next to the lift on the ground floor so it was a bit noisy at night. The bed was really comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful :)
Fabulous
Very impressed with this hotel. Check in was quick and efficient and the gent was so friendly and helpful. the room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, looked almost brand new. modern shower and bathroom great shower actually. tea, coffee mini bar and planet of sockets. the bed was huge and very very comfortable with lovely pillows. the hotel was quiet and I had a good night sleep. Would recommend and will stay here again. Great area as well plenty of eateries and retail therapy.
Nice location with plenty of bars and restaurants
Great stay great location
The ladies at the reception had a great deal of sincerity and helpfulness! Few minutes walk to underground made lots of attractions accessible easily. Overall condition was much satisfied except the weak wifi.
Goood
Central, modern, clean like this Hotel with a real good service personal in Place
Nice hotel in West London - great for theatre, zoo
This is a great little boutique hotel! If you are working to a budget, choose this hotel over any of the chains. The decor is stunning, the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious, stylish and clean. You can't usually say any of he above about the chain hotels. The only slight sticking point was that there isn't a restaurant. You can choose to have a continental breakfast in your room, but it's a 2 min walk to Marylebone Road, so we had breakfast in one of the many cafes there.
Lovely hotel in a lovely area. Victor at front desk was so welcoming and helpful, the only problem with this hotel was that our stay was not long enough!!
Close to parks, Abbey Rd & Baker St
Pleasant, helpful staff. Excellent location close to Regent's Park, Abbey Road, Baker Street and Paddington Station. We booked because it was close to the Heathrow Express. Interesting/quirky layout, although not a convenient layout (two levels, top floor relatively cramped).
Lovely boutique hotel in deluxe room
I stayed in the deluxe room and it was wonderful. I especially liked the high ceilings and overall space of the room--not like a typical, very tiny European hotel room. Staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. A quaint and cozy boutique hotel in a perfect area.
Stay was very good. Staff were lovely. Definitely be staying again
Good hotel close to Madam Toussands
Hotel was close to attractions but very small and little old.
Great Stay.
Fantastic Staff. Very friendly. Great Location for conference I attended nr. Regent's Park.
The wifi was weak in our room as it was furthest from reception so that was disappointing and much of the time it didn't work at all. We did tell the staff and it's a known problem. There were a few small things which could be improved, but the staff were helpful and friendly, the decor was pleasing and clean, the bed was very comfortable.
Great location at a good price
We stayed in one of the studio apartments, across from the main hotel. Great for location (right next to Madam Tussards where we were attending a function). Room had everything you could need, although very compact design. The only real negative point was the amount of noise that travelled through the building-doors opening and closing, and walking on the wooden floors.
Very charming boutique hotel
Very cosy hotel. Felt at home. Personnel very kind and welcoming! I will come back!!!
This hotel was so bad I had to book into another one instead and they refused to refund me.
Apartment
I was sent to what were really apartment rooms across the road from reception. It was average at the price although the bed was advertised as king size but wasn't by my interpretation of bed sizing. Bedroom and shower were upstairs and the layout a bit tight for space. Downstairs living area was useful.
Unusual...design for sure!
Though a nice location and great service it is lacking in design of the room we stayed in.. though rooms are typically small in Europe the design made our room seem much smaller . A platform in the room with the bed taking up most of the room as to have to step out of bed to get in the bath tub /shower.. a bit unusual.. also a kitchen area that has a sink that is almost unusable as it is recessed under a mirror? seems a artist might have designed it instead of a architect ...? NOTE this was across the street from the main hotel as it was being remodeled.. Hopefully by a architects plans, with that said it was still a enjoyable stay. a great location with access to transportation, dining and shopping. The Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. for a short stay I would recommend.
Modern means Mattress on the Floor.
We booked this hotel based on the website. It had been renovated to be "modern" which meant a mattress on the floor. Staff was great, but hotel room was not. They would have offered us a deal, but because we booked with expedia nobody would do anything, INCLUDING EXPEDIA!!
Police cars and sirens very noise at night
Across the street from the reception desk which made it inconvenient Place is in. Need of a good paint job *******the curtains wouldn't close. Reception didn't know what to do but brought up tape when we asked . we used toilet paper to tape both ends of the curtain together
Great hotel, nice and quiet at night
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights last weekend. The room was small but very clean and had everything we needed. The air conditioning was a god send after walking around London all day. We found the location to be great for hoping on and off the tube as it's only a 5 min walk down to Baker Street tube station. The hotel was nice and quiet on a night, just far enough away from the local pubs to not be disturbed by the noise if you're not going out. Still within walking distance if you do want to go out though as well. The staff were very helpful and friendly, allowing us to leave our luggage before and after checkout. This was great for us as it meant not having to drag it around London with us all day. We would definitely use this hotel again.
Very good
Very good
Awful - not a proper hotel
An awful experience. Had to stay elsewhere in the end. No manned reception, rooms in a different building, in a basement, window looking into another room and no phone signal.
Simple and effective
Stayed for 1 night as i was working in the local area. Great location, close to the tube station and lots of restaurants. I stayed in a studio which was small and cosy. The kitchenette was great with microwave, plates, glasses and cutlery. Would definitely stay here again.
Executive hotel, not all is as promised. Beware
First, Staff was wonderful. Accommodations - Were Not. 1. There was no bed! Just a (well worn) mattress on the floor. When asked for a room with a bed off the floor like the website showed when I booked, I was informed they were changing to all rooms with beds on the floor. So if you don't like crawling in and out of bed DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Very expensive for what you got. Broken mirrors, plaster pealing off, fridge handle broken, cupboard doors don't close. 2. Floor is plain boards whitewashed. I manged to get a sliver every day. If you book here, bring slippers and plan to wear your shoes. 3. No windows, fan (not even in the bathroom), or air circulation. There were skylights, which is great, except on a hot day there was no way to get any air circulation, and very humid after someone takes a shower. 3. LOTS OF STAIRS. To get to the room and in the room. Tight winding staircase up to the bedroom. If you have bad knees, do not book this hotel.
March 2016
We stayed for partners birthday. The hotel was in excellent location and easy to find when off the underground at baker Street. Staff are really friendly, although only seen on check in and check out as our room was located across the street in separate building. Good if you want to get on with your stay with no disturbances or bumping into anyone.it didn't feel like we were part of a hotel. More like rented studio. We didn't mind this though, felt more private. We were on the top floor but there was a lift so ok. I wouldn't recommend for families, just couples or business. There was free WiFi and flat screen TV both in the living area and bedroom. There was a playstation 3, but no games. (Not sure if could request at reception) We asked for any leaflets or information as it was our first time visiting london. The staff were polite and helpful with suggestions however the leaflets provided need updating as they dated 2009!
Very clean and so warm. Quiet location and handy to many activities.
Tired and Tatty
The reception staff were excellent throughout my stay, I could not fault them. Unfortunately the accommodation did not live up to this standard. The decor and furniture were out dated, and in need of renovation. Having paid between £100 & £200 per night, I would have expected better.
Great hotel! We will be back!
Great hotel! We will be recommending it. The staff were very friendly and on the ball. Design room was clean, minimal and cosy! Electric black out blinds ensured a brilliant nights sleep. Play-station and Bose sound system for entertainment! Well stocked minibar. What more could we want!?
Disappointing
You could not fault the room for cleanliness and facilities but it was almost like a pod and very claustrophobic feeling. There were two steps up to the bed which we found verging on dangerous should you want to get out for the loo in the night. I did get out and thought I was OK, but still nearly fell as there is an odd gap between the two steps. The toilet and bathroom were like cupboards around the sides of the room and there was one about one metre between the bed and the wall along which they were set. The shower was good but was in a sunken bath so you had to step up about a foot and then immediately down about two feet with nothing but the side of the bath to steady yourself on in a door width access area. The lighting in the bathroom was awful and made you look very pasty and actually, grey! I was in danger of coming out looking like an umpa-lumpa after putting make up on! Our friends had a slightly bigger room than ours but that was on the main street so they got very little sleep. Overall, really disappointing. We were not asked if everything was OK when we left - we laughed at the fact that there was probably a reason for this!!
Good staff, small room and slightly overpriced
We went here for New year the hotel staff where friendly and helpful and was central to the city. The room was clean and in good condition however it was very small the kitchen was tiny and hard to move about. There was two steps upto the bed which was a bit annoying and no room to pass in front of the bed. The toilet door was sliding glass and did not go all the way back so kept smacking it which was annoying. I good plus is the shower is great once you work it out. Overall we where slightly disappointed and thought it was a little overpriced for what we got.
Great location
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, walking distance from main attractions l
The room we stayed in at the begining was awful, it was dirty, the shower was broken and the floor made a lot of noise. They changed the room for us and it was better but smaller so was the bed which we suffered a lot from. Also the bathroom merrior was broken and the cabines as well. The inernet wasn't very good at some spots. The people working there (service) were very nice and good.
Funky hotel room
Funky hotel room, had more of a bed sit feeling apart from the king size bed. Perfect position for shopping and fine dining. Within walking distance of private clinics and hospitals, which was the reason for our stay. Would definitely stay again.
Fantastic hotel staff, vert helpful
Convenient for Tussauds & Marylebone High St
Nicely designed rooms in the 'other' building, but decor needs touching up to make it fresh again. Sound proofing could be better too(noisy neighbours and water pipes!). Blackout blinds are great IF they work.
Brilliant stay at this place!
We booked a normal room but the carpets were badly stained. We asked to change rooms and were upgraded to the duplex suite which was perfect. Great service and friendly efficient staff. Will definitely visit again
Good value . Ideal location
Ideal location. Staff extremely helpful. Initial room offered was in the basement which whilst spacial had no outward facing clear glass windows but opaque internal windows which I found very claustrophobic. However the hotel changed our room for us with no problem and the room allocated was fine.
Excellent location but really small room
My girlfriend and me stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. We really like the hotel location (just 2 blocks from Baker street tube station) but the room was way too small. When you see the pictures online before booking the room, you think that you will get a big room but that's not true, the room is way too small. The hotel staff is nice, but we stayed in a different building, just across the street from the hotel reception. I won't recommend the hotel, as you pay too much money for what they offer.
Have no complaints about this hotel, visited for a girly weekend and although the carpet was a little stained there was nothing wrong with the hotel. It's not the ritz but it's cosy and perfect for a weekend in London where you will most likely not be in the room anyways
excellent hotel, will return one day!
Was a three night stay for proximity to a hospital
Great location, room was quite funky and modern. Small kitchen was great (microwave and sink) to make basic stuff.
Stained floors seen better days....maybe
Got to the hotel told we had been upgraded, we went down to the basement where our" upgrade" was. Huge stain on the floor, lights not working in the bathroom with a view looking onto a brick wall. We went upstairs and asked for a new room, explaining the problem. Front desk gave us a new room, nice young man,but no apology for state of room. Our new room was up some very narrow stairs, this too had a giant stain on the carpet with was frayed at all the edges. The bathroom was nice, a saving grace except the only one light worked. The plug in stations were on the sparse side. Generally a disappointing stay, will never return. The place has promise it's a great location but their are way nicer hotels just doors down from this one.
I'll be back!
Excellent, helpful, and friendly staff! It's a nice relaxing place and very easygoing. The lobby is lovely and the street quaint. The value is fantastic too and it is close to everything you could need near baker at. Our room was big with a fridge, minibar and sofa area. Nice bathroom, very clean, and nice bedding. The stairwells are kind of steep and elevator small, so they help you with bags. It's peaceful and quiet but it is across from a hospital so you'll hear ambulances from time to time. My only complaint is that the carpeting needs to be replaced or cleaned more often. I will be back and it's a great place for parents to stay who have children going to the local college (Regents) and are coming in for a visit. It's only a 5 minute walk to the university.
Toilet button placed too high for lady
The room was not as advertised. Not light and bright at all. Felt dark and damp.
Really great experience with helpful young staff. Location is amazing and room v comfortable. Our aircon was broken so they gave us free breakfast!
Great Base in London
Great base for London break, rooms small but perfectly suitable with unique design. Minimalist design can lead to echoey noise from landings and stairs.
Nice place but small rooms...
My family of 6 stayed in 2 duplex units for only one night before our flight back. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is good within short walking distance from Underground. Rooms were clean but a little cramp. Our rooms are accessible only with stairs so was a little inconvenient.
Great convenient location in central London!
Great convenient location in Central London, comfortable beds, perfect for our family and super quiet! Kitchen facilities (microwave, crockery, sink) were just what we needed. Very friendly staff, short walk to Baker Street tube station, right near Marylebone High Street (a hidden gem) and a decent brisk walk to Oxford Street. Would definitely recommend.
great value
Very nice spacious room in great neighborhood at a very reasonable price for London. Near University of Westminster, Regents Park, Madame Tussaud's and the Baker St tube station. Embassies on same street and in proximity. Nice cozy lobby/sitting area with fireplace (even in summer!)coffee, tea and cookies. Only negative was the carpet was stained, otherwise very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Great location, great staff
The staff at the front desk was extremely helpful and pleasant. From the minute we checked in early to getting our room ready to helping with temperature settings in our room
see you again
very small but nice and clean !!!
Great "quiet" location!
As most hotels in London the room was very small !! however it was on a quiet street and only a quick walk from the Baker Street tube station. One of the hop-on/hop-off bus tours had a main stop just outside the station so you could do all the sight seeing above ground [there is of course traffic to contend with...if you're in a hurry take the tube]. Just a couple of blocks from the hotel there was a selection of small restaurants, even for breakfast.
Our Favorite Hotel in London
This was our third stay at the Nottingham Place Hotel. The staff is accommodating and helpful and we appreciate the quiet, residential neighborhood, which is vastly different from many other busy, noisy locations where we've stayed in London. The hotel is one block from the Baker Street tube station and one block from trendy Marylebone High Street with its restaurants, cafes, shops, grocery stores, and boutiques. There are two buildings, the main No. 37 with more traditional suites, and No. 24 across the street, which is starkly modern in design. The space offered and the amenities are exceptional for London at the rates charged.
Great hotel in the middle of London
What a hidden gem! Wonderful accommodations close to central London.
A lovely cozy hotel
Great hôtel compared to price.... Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere as well as great location.
Great Stay for 1
I really enjoyed my stay at the Nottingham Place Hotel! I was there for 5 nights, staying alone while visiting my sister who is studying in London in Regents Park. It is a great location - the Marylebone High Street has great shopping and restaurants and Baker Street has a lot of more affordable options for food. It was nice to have a little kitchenette - I have food allergies so I was able to manage my own breakfast. It is a 5 minute walk to the Baker Street Tube Station which made everything very accessible. The room was compact but the space was well used. The shower was deep and kind of hard to get into (it was sort of in a closet) - I am young and in relatively good shape and I almost fell every time I got in but didn't, luckily. There was a lot of natural light (and blackout curtains) so it didn't feel cramped. Staying a week in the space alone was very comfortable. I would stay again.
Nottingham Place Hotel
Room was adequate for our purpose. Just a base whilst staying overnight in London. We booked a one bed suite however it was a screen dividing the living area from the bedroom with no actual door. we took our 15 year old daughter, who slept on the sofa bed, which was very squeaky. Space was compact. Staff were very helpful, but the hotel has no bar or real catering availability, so it really is accommodation only.
Not a bad hotel
Nice hotel, very close to tube and Madame T's. Great staff, very helpful. Room just right for what we needed, however they do need updating. Typical problem with small London hotels - you have to keep the rooms full so when do you get the chance to repaint etc. Apparently carpets are getting re done in June so this will make a big difference. Overall would stay there again.
Very friendly and helpful staff
Although the condition of the room was not very pleasing (i.e. the carpet was stained and old, though the wooding furniture seemed new, and I had to climb a number of narrow stairs to get to my room), I was very very pleased with the friendly and extremely helpful staff. I had ordered many items from the Amazon and they were very happy to store them and take them to my room upon my arrival. Some were extremely heavy ! They always tried to help out and assist when I needed anything. They were also quick in doing that. So, I do believe that the staff's attitude compensated for the room's condition. Also, the wireless internet was excellent ! It was fast and I was automatically signed in every time I opened the browser. It was surely one of the best internet connections among many different rated hotels I have stayed in, including 5 star hotels.
Overnight Pit Stop
Just what was needed - value for money in the right location given the reason we were in London
Better than we imagined!! Great!
Arrived at the hotel, and was told that we were upgraded for free to a designer suite. Hotel room was in the building across the street. Room was great. Different to what we had imagined (in a good way). wish we had longer to stay in the room. But we had plans. Will definitely stay again. Great for couples. I love the way the room was set out, with the bed upstairs. Great lighting, very stylish. Blackout blinds are great too. Small sofa also folds out into a bed. Tv upstairs with room and downstairs.
Great hotel!
Amazing - I would definitely stay again.
A little Gem in a big city
Wonderful ideal location
Great location, uncomfortable bed
Everything was fine, apart from the bed, which was 2 singles pushed together so there was a big ridge, which I felt was cutting corners, and wasn't very comfortable. Basically, bed needs an upgrade. Otherwise, very nice.
Very well presented
Just come back from london and stopped im nottingham Place. Initially we went to the wrong side of the road as there was another nottingham place hotel building across the road. After pressing the bell a member of staff came out and was very well mannered and checked us in at the correct reception. Room was very comfortable with all neccesities required to cater for yourself short term. Iron, microwave, cutlery and wine glasses etc all included. Cery pleasent stay!
Good location, needs a bit of TLC
We checked in easily and the staff were very friendly, the room was not quite as advertised, the cupboard doors not fitting and the carpet frayed around the whole room we were expecting the high standard finish as shown in pictures. Our room 103 was downstairs and opening a cupboard there was a vent of some kind which made noise throughout the night. The heating was cranked up and the corridor was unbearable, in the room is was still far too hot, and only have patio doors and no window we could not regulate the temperature (air con didn't work?). Also one of the shower nozzles was broken and did not stay put, had been propped up against a tap. The hotel I can assume as advertised for business use thinks you won't mind not sleeping on a proper mattress, they had a futon style cushion on top of a standard bed divan - a tad squishy and didn't help with the temperature! A good hotel in need of a bit of TLC in the room we had, take out the stools in the fireplace and it would look bigger too! I think when it opened would have been plush, it's just not been kept up as it shows on their website.
Chic hotel in a wonderful neighborhood
Convenient to transportation; comfortable, clean and easy to feel at home.
EXCELLENT PLACE IN QUIET CENTRE
EXCELLENT HOTEL. SURPRISINGLY INEXPENSIVE FOR SUCH LOCATION. VERY FRIENDLY AND TRULY HELPFUL STAFF. I FORGOT TO TAKE ANY DVDs (THERE'S A DVD PLAYER IN THE ROOM) WITH ME BUT HOTEL STAFF GAVE ME PLENTY TO CHOOSE FROM.BROKEN BULB WAS CHANGED WITHIN 3-4 MINUTES OF CALLING RECEPTION.BED LINEN OF 5* QUALITY.VERY IMPRESSED
Unconventional room structure, but a great stay
Even had a PS3 in the room!
Quirky yet comfortable review near baker Street
The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is located in terraced, ex-residential buildings excellently located for exploring large tracts of what most visitors to London might want to see. Many places in walking distance and also very well linked by bus and tube.
would recommend!
Staff extremely helpful. Fantastic location. Would definatley use again!
We loved this hotel!
Great value for location. The staff was very helpful a while the room was a bit small (compared to american standards) the location was perfect: tube stop nearby and bars and restaurants within a block. Very safe area and easy to get to.
Small rooms
Good location, very small rooms .....try another hotel in the area
No privacy in bathroom
Rooms are super small, but the bathroom privacy was the big issue. Toilet is in a separate room from the shower and the sliding door doesnt lock, so if yiure with someone else bring a phone to play loud music on there. If traveling alone then it is a great spot, and the neighborhood is amazing! The staff is great too!
Super Noisy !
The room was comfortable, the bed, really good, but really TOO MUCH NOISY!!! There is space between the floor and the door, and if someone is in the room in front of yours, or people in the corridor you feel they will enter in your room. This is terrible.
disappointing
viewed the pictures of this hotel on the website and thought it looked lovely.booked our stay.called the hotel and asked the staff where the nearest over night car park was.I was given the address to a street which did not have a car park.Tried to call the hotel several times wondering if the address of the "car park" was wrong, no answer each time. when we arrived at the "hotel" reception, one of the staff members did not seem to know what he was doing.he then informed us that we will be staying in a completely different building which was "across the road". He didn't even take us across to show us exactly which building. we were told of the door number. found the building, shocked at the size of the room.a small boxed room which looked nothing like the rooms on the website.frosted doors, if you decide to go to the toilet be sure to have the tv on full because you can hear a pin drop. the doors of the bathroom and toilet are frosted able to hear any small amount of noise. the sink in the toilet was blocked the water was not running through,I called the reception to inform them of this, the employee replied,'ok what do you want me to do about it'.had an interview early morning. decided to iron my shirt but could not find iron or ironing board, called the reception again, was told 'there is nothing I can do'.I then informed her that I will be making a formal complaint. a knock at the door and an iron appears. will not be staying her again, would not recommend it
Our stay at Nottingham
The hotel was fine, however it is not a "traditional" hotel. It is a home converted into a hotel. The room we were given was located in the basement, which was very dark. We asked if there was a different room and were told there was not. After 2 nights we asked again and were given a room in the other house/hotel down the road which was much better. Although the bed did not have a regular matress nor a headboard! it was ok, It was modern and plenty of light. The location was good we were close to the tube and many restaurants, convenient stores.
Shoebox Living at the right price!
Our room at the Nottingham Place was perfect for our intention -- get out all day long, and come back to the room to sleep. While the "modern" studio room is REALLY small-- literally a single person's width around the entire bed, it has everything you could need-- bathroom, tub, fridge w/ coffee, tea, utensils, etc., a place to put all your clothes and a suitable desk w/usb charging capabilities and nice tv. It's really perfect for 1 person but the two of us had a fine time. In a way it was kind of fun to stay in a hotel THAT small! Not suitable for couples who are shy (i.e. toilet with frosted glass door). It's really all you need if you aren't too picky about your accommodations. Clean enough, great location, a wonderful walk to the park and restaurants, shopping. Polite front desk. We were very happy to save a few dollars on our hotel and splurge on great food instead!
review
Only problem was bed side lights did not work

The staff were lovely. Very polite and welcoming. Room very clean. Excellent location.
