Although I had complains about my first room, the hotel staff were very accommodating and helped me switch rooms to one that more along my needs. Thank you for making my stay here more comfortable!
Good
Nice central location for a pre cruise
Barely a 4 star hotel definitely not a 5 star as stated. Out dated rooms. Bed was hospital quality at best, flimsy iron board with burnt holes. Extremely overpriced for room and restaurant. Needed to pay for tv channels but if location is what you are looking for then this Hotel is it
The property is in a great location and walkable to everything.
This upscale hotel is located in the centre of Athens and this makes it very appealing. There are a ton of restaurants and coffee shops close by as well as the hop on hop on hop off stop is across the street.
Wonderful stay Best location in the city great room staff were excellent
The hotel does not meet the standards of a 5-star property. We were initially drawn in by the photos on the listing and their website, but the reality didn’t quite match. That said, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Special thanks to Maria and her manager for their exceptional service. Excellent staff and great service overall, but unfortunately, the hotel itself doesn’t qualify as 5-star.
Best location in Athens. Wonderful hotel close to restaurants, sites, museums and all transportation options.
Very convenient and easy walking to main area
Good, but can improve.
nicw hotel, centrally located, taxis right on front, helpful attendants. Needs to improve in terms of the restaurant, which was closed. The cafeteria has a simple menu, not enough selection, and expensive prices.
Staff can be more helpful
Excellent service, very nice property and beautiful views of the Palace and Parthenon. Parking available about 2 blocks away. Pool available at a gym that the hotel has an agreement with.
We had an amazing time at NJV Athens, Plaza. This is our second time staying at the hotel and it has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Great location! 5 minutes walking distance to all the shopping, Monastariki, and restaurants. 15 min walk to Acropolis. Great communication with hotel for transportation from airport prior to arrival. Rooms are roomy, comfortable and clean.
Bathroom sink left knob came apart every time we turned water on. Old hotel but decent price and very good location
Great, a little outdated but staff are very friendly. Breakfast selection is not bad. Only two lifts servicing which is sometimes inconvenient. Location is perfect.
The hotel was conveniently located and the staff was so friendly. We had just come in from an overnight flight and they let us check in early so we could rest!
Unsure if some of the rooms and areas of the hotel have undergone renovations recently but the dining hall for the breakfast buffet and my room were certainly looking very dated and had many signs of wear and tear. The breakfast buffet was average at best, wouldn’t recommend paying extra for it. You’re better off leaving the hotel and going into Plaka or other surrounding areas for better and less expensive food. The room itself has seen better days. The bathroom had a lot of rust marks on the shower wall near the hand rail, one of the lights was missing the finishing cap so it was all exposed, etc. Just not the attention to detail I would expect from a 5-star hotel. That said, the staff were amazing. Everyone from the guest service attendants to the front desk and housekeeping were all extremely wonderful.
Would book it again
Room was lovely nd the location for walking excellent
Right from start they didn’t listen to my request to use 2 cards one for each room then I ended getting 3 charges on same card. Asked about transportation and they didn’t seem to know. Overall won’t stay there again.
Wonderful place to spend a night in Athens. Staff was friendly and helpful and the location was perfect for visiting Acropolis, Plaka area, etc.
Good hotel
great location staff was not professional unfortunately.
We were able to extend our stay and stay till 4 PM for a fee. Allowing us to get some much-needed rest after long travel.
We noticed there are bugs in our headboard. Then we saw cockroaches around us. Immediately we looked at the headboard, there were many bugs with eggs hacking. We packed our stuff and went to the registration desk. They moved us to a different room. The next morning, we had 40-50 bed bug bites on our body and neck. It is one of the worst hotels. It was so dirty. DO NOT STAY THERE! They are telling us will refund the money but the damage is so severe. We suffered from all these bed bugs during our whole trip in Greece and Istanbul. DO NOT STAY THERE!
It’s a dated hotel, renovation should be done, love the location walking distance to many areas.
Location
We stayed in this property on the way in and out of Athene. I will recommend it to anyone who goes to Athene. Rooms are wonderful and the staff is super friendly. They addressed all my questions even prior to our stay via email. Don't forget to try Greek coffee and fruit platter in the lobby.
Wonderful, clean and convenient, close to the center of the town. Staff will arrange everything you need, from pick up to tours. Try the greek coffee and cut fruits in the lobby cafe! If possible ask for a room with a view of acropolis, in higher floors. The rooms are very roomy and large considering European standards. Overall very, very good.
All was great, however it needs to be updated, the bathrooms are in desperate need of renovation.
Is a great location just at the entrance of Plaka, you can walk everywhere and staff is great!!! Large bedroom confortable pillows which are always a big PLUS for us.
Excellent place to stay
Quite good but food makes it unexceptional
Upgraded to a suite with 3 beds. Comfortable beds and courteous staff. staff arranged a driver to Temple of Poseidon. Appreciated that. Hotel was centrally located. Their cocktails and food were a disappointment, however.
While some rooms have been renovated they are not ‘up to’ a 5 star standard. They are about 3 star. The building is run down and grubby. I was very disappointed as the reviews were incorrect. I would never stay in this shabby hotel again.
It was wonderful from the moment I left my cab to the time I entered a new one. The service was top notch. I wish I had stayed her the entire time I was in Athens.
Excellent location. Otherwise, pricey for the quality of the accommodation
Service and staff were great. Hotel is very centrally located- lots of restaurants and sites within walking distance. Hotel building itself is nice but not extraordinary. Be aware- no on-site parking
Location and room was outstanding. Staff was more than helpful. However, twice during the night the fire alarm sounded.
Very close to attractions, shopping and restaurants. Very clean and spacious rooms with a nice view.
Excellent staff and service! I love staying here! This is the nicest area in Athens. Luxury shopping and dining all around you. Will definitely be back!
Fantastic staff! The only downside was the street noise
Good value for money. Very kind and attentive staff
Staff was professional friendly and always available to help. Bathroom could be nicer/updated. Otherwise the room was beautiful and it was a great location.
Great location. Carpet in room was old, tired and dirty looking. Bathroom could be cleaner, lotion bottle looked used. Water from shower splashed everywhere soaking floors. Lobby was beautiful but room very dated. Breakfast was good.
Helpful staff, clean rooms, great location.
The front desk were great to deal with and were very helpful.
Great location and big rooms! Walking distance to the Acropolis and all historic places, plazas, and touristic areas: Plaka Acropolis Olympics theatre Agora Syntagma square Subway
Great location. walk to almost everything. easy ride from airport. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again.
Beautiful location and wonderful ppl. The building is a bit old and run down. Needs an update. Overpriced for what I paid. Very loud street right in front of hotel. AC made a whining noise all night long. Had to sleep with ear plugs.
The staff was super friendly and helpful- the room was spacious and clean
Dated hotel with noisy traffic all night long. Don’t believe them when they say that they have sound proofed the rooms.
The property is located in the heart of the nicer part of town . They gave us an upgrade as a Expedia platinum member but we had to assert ourselves to get the upgrade. The upgrade should have come from the hotel naturally in keeping with Expedia premium membership
Property is located in Syntagma Square .All attractions are close by . Hop on and off bus stop is close by
A beautiful hotel located right on Syntagma Square. Super convenient location next to all shops at Ermou street and the bars and restaurants at Plaka and Monastiraki. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathrooms were large. All the staff were very friendly and polite. There is a very nice bar located on the mezzanine floor. The only item that would have been great is a gym on-site. They have a collaboration with a nearby gym, however prices are circa 25eur for a day pass.
Convenient location. Good lobby cafe
The hotel needs to be maintained in better condition.
Very clean and updated very safe
Book here!!!
I traveled to Athens on a solo trip this past month. NJV really looked after me from the time I arrive on my birthday to my second stay coming back from the islands. They ensured I had a ride back to the hotel each trip. The hotel is literally in the middle of everything in Athens. My second stay I had a luxury suite with a view of the Acropolis. I highly recommend that suite. It was so nice and comfy. Everyone greets you when you come in and out. Service is quick to follow up with you on issues. The pastry shop is fantastic!!!
Nice hotel! Great location!!
Great comfortable hotel
The staff were great Always comfortable staying at NJV and very close to shops and restaurants. Would recommend to anybody
Great central locations! All main areas within 20min walk
Close to everything and okay property. Bathroom shower was clogged.
This is a great hotel
Great central location
Very friendly staff & great location.
Location is perfect for our overnight stay in Athens. Highly recommended for those who love shopping. We will definitely go back again.
The hotel is amazing, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Excellent location, excellent Syndagma view. Staff was very friendly and helpful
Highly suggest front desk staff to share information of their location & where certain attractions are located and offer some sort of maps or brochures for guests. We had to ask & then it was provide by a very knowledgeable mature gentlemen. Great location of hotel!!
Hotel old and room not clean but location fantastic
Liked location. Didnt like old rooms, not updated in a long time
Hotel was pleasing. Excellent location. Comfortable rooms. Will stay again definitely.
Great location. Great breakfast selection. Rooms alittle dated. Front desk checkin was pleasant but lacked giving us any tips, brochures, maps or information etc about the area. Following day we had to make all the inquiries and the gentleman, who was older was very helpful!!
While the rooms could use a little refresh, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! The staff was fantastic and the location was perfect. Buffet breakfast was great too. Would definitely stay here again!
4 star maximum . With noisy air conditioning in inner yard.
Everything was great. Close to everything and staff was very helpful
The hotel is located in the heart of the city on the main square making it so convenient for shopping dining and nightlife. Beautiful property and excellent facilities. Would highly recommend this hotel. We had a two day stay at the end of our cruise with a family group of eleven with ages ranging from 15 to 71. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Loved the location and the staff was amazing!
A very upscale property. We were treated with all the decorum one would expect in such a hotel. Actually, more than we expected. I don’t know how it is rated but to us it deserved 5 stars. The Greek people are just wonderful
A nice enough place in an ideal location in Syntagma Square. The bathroom could definitely use some maintenance because all of the grout around the tiles are in bad shape. I couldn’t quite figure out the fancy TV system while navigating the Android pad device. Just too complicated for this old guy so I gave up on it. Breakfast buffet was good.
Excelente hotel en todos los sentidos. Muy céntrico, personal amable, muy limpio, con muchos detalles a la llegada y durante la estancia. Muy recomendable.
The family room we stayed in fit our needs perfectly, and it was spacious and beautiful. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff was very helpful. The location of the hotel was great! We could walk easily to the sights we wanted to see and also to shops and restaurants. It is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in, and maybe was the best. Superior!
Great area. Nice size room and bathroom. Right in city center.
Great Location to lots of shops and area activities.
I had some walking issues and the staff jumped right in to help. An excellent staff. Next trip to Greece, NJV will be my first choice.
The hotel was lovely. The room we were able to book was perfect for our family. The location was fabulous, close to everything of importance to us.
Staff was amazing - very helpful and courteous. Family room were spacious. Location is amazing and convinient - walkable distance to most of the must visit sites. Very lively Syntagma square.
There was mould around the taps in en suite, this is a shame as we couldn’t fault anything else as far as cleanliness is concerned in our room or hotel. The location is great, so many great coffee shops etc and a short walk to the “Monasteraki” square. Another negative that some people may not like is the hotel has no pool or gym. We have stayed twice and would defo go back ( hope the mould has gone) Luke-C
Nice stay.
Great location, you are in the heart of city center. Room and restaurant staffs are very friendly and great with their service. Checking in was a breeze although I wish that the front desk guy will give you more information about the hotel. :( Rooms are very clean and comfy. Bathroom room needs an upgrade. Overall a great stay
Nice hotel The bathroom was old
Everything great
It is a little dated hotel but well maintained and clean. Staff is great and there breakfast is great too. It is located in a busy area so quiet noisy, even in night. Ask for rooms on higher floor.
Very nice location
Just perfect
This hotel is wonderful this is my second time staying there the only concern I had was not enough outlets and the mattress wasn’t very pleasant it needed definitely a pillow top mattress
Perfect hotel - well recommend!!
Everything from the beginning to the end of the vacation was perfect! The location is amazing! The staff is very kind and nice starting from the reception desk, cleaning and dining room. We were three people in the room and it was big, spacious and clean!! The breakfast was nice and tasty. Just a great experience! I will definitely return to this hotel!
Great location and very good breakfast. Highly recommended to get a breakfast included option
Location was center of the Athens and very close to shops and tourist attractions
