Loved the place. Clean, wonderful staff and good location. The onsen was wonderful.

The hotel is unfortunately a bit tired looking, but still quite clean and pretty comfortable. There's also an onsen which is nice to use. The area is quite convenient, definitely walkable from the train station even with luggage. The staff are nice and friendly. I don't think I would have a problem using this place in the future.

It was a budget stay so can’t complain much. However, the rooms do not give a clean feeling, so we tried to spend as little time in the rooms as possible. There was mold in the bathroom and fans, so we used the onsen showers instead.

Nothing wrong with the hotel itself, a bit on the older end.

Reasonable comfort hotel stay

Toilet is fairly tight. Thought room temp was air cool and felt quite warm but thinking was eco stuff, so did not bother to feedback. But then on the 3rd night, room aircond was on and temp was cool enough. Should have feedback to hotel on first night. Receptions are friendly and helpful. Walking distance, about 5 to 8 mins walk to shopping mall. Parking places were OK.

An excellent choice of hotels. Friendly staff helped with every question. Cleaning staff are very thorough. Excellent location. Right across from bus to airport. Onsen on site. Laundry and vending machines on the 6th floor. Close to the ocean. 2 minute walk from Beppu tower. They made accommodations for a bicycle to be stored. I was going to rent a bike for a few days, but settled for 5 hours. Quiet, comfortable. Best sleep of the trip so far! Well done Nishitetsu Beppu! Well done. Thank you!! ❤️❤️🍻

Convenient location and great staff, breakfast and parking. I would return to this Hotel.

This was a good hotel to stay in. The location is great with a shopping centre across the road and Beppu Station only a 10min walk away. The staff are very friendly and helpful (we asked for an upgrade because the room was originally too small and they helped us with this), and the hotel breakfast had a nice variety of foods and was only AUD$10 each person. The rooms are quite old and the bathrooms are mouldy and had a sewage smell. Housekeeping occurs only once every two days, however you can request for your room to be cleaned everyday. The airport shuttle bus drops you off right outside the hotel. Overall I rate this hotel 3/5.

There was nothing wrong with the property. I'm not sure if this is common practice in Japan/Beppu but we tried asking 2 staff to help us make a diner reservation at an outside restaurant due to the language barrier but we were rejected on both occasion.

Great Spa.

Prime location, only 7-8 mins walk from Beppu Station. There's a convenient store (Lawson) and a department store (and Starbucks) right across the street, and a Donki down the road. And 3 mins walk from the Beppu Bay. Staff is super nice and helpful, and it got everything you need - coin laundry on the 6th floor and an indoor/outdoor hot spring bath. It's a public bath but you might have the hot spring all by yourself if you go around midnight time :) The room is relatively small but it's good enough if you're traveling solo like me. The only minor issue is that the bathroom got this funky smell sometimes and the bath tub is relatively small. So I mainly use the public bath instead of my own bathroom.

Great place to stay

Fantastic hotel, courteous staff who couldn’t do enough for you and truly went above and beyond! I had to store my luggage with them and they very kindly let me extend that by a whole day. Highly recommend this hotel. Walkable to train station and bus stops right outside the hotel too.

Property is just near the Main Train Station. Also it is attached with famous "Beppu Hell Tour" Bus terminal. You don't even need to get out of building to have Beppu Hell Tour bus as it is just beside front desk. Property is also near the Beppu Tower and beach which is perfect place for dinning and tour option. You will have nice public bath place for free as many Japanese hotels does (This is amazing) Employees are not fluent in English but it is acceptable as you don't need much communication to check-in and check-out.

Old and small room. The public bath is not natural onsen water. However, the price is competitive.

Not a great experience sue to our room location

We were in room 215 which is on the spa floor and at the very wnd of the building. There were some sort of loud machinery on the other side of the wall (aircon machine maybe?) so there was a very loud humming noise for the whole night. And there were very loud people until 1 or 2AM also, perhaps enjoying the spa until it closed. We were thanking the stars we had only booked one night! I guess this is a great hotel if you get a room on a higher floor. But our room 215 was hell.

When you go to Beppu Onsen hotels do double homework. This Nishitetsu Resort Inn Beppu has its own Onsen spring water; BUT NOT FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE TATTOOS. I thought that I had asked the right questions online about This particular property. Nowhere on the internet or their website does it exclude people with Tattoos. That’s why I booked it. Please do not stay here if you have tattoos. You will not be able to enjoy your full time here.

Its a good location within walking distance of several onsen and the station. The hotel's onsen was nice but as I have tattoos I had to use bandaids to cover them as they arn't tattoo friendly unlike most Onsen in Beppu.

Good stay

Room was small but AC was cool. Onsen in the hotel was included so it was nice. Staff spoke good English. Location was within walking distance to Beppu Station. Breakfast was good.

2 nights in a comfortable and friendly area

This was a quick get away from my wife and I. When we first arrived the front desk was very helpful and spoke English which made the check in process extremely easy. There’s a nice onsen on the second floor. Hotel is conveniently located in the middle of everything and the bus stop was right outside the door. We will definitely stay again

Nice stay in Beppu

Check in was very quick and friendly taking about 5 minutes. My room was clean with a big queen sized bed. The second floor bath was clean and convenient for a morning bath and they provided many amenities for free such as razors, combs, bath wash cloth, etc. I would definitely stay here again.

当日、予約で行きました 飛行機の関係で宿泊を決めましたが、大浴場があって、立地が良くて、朝食のついた条件で14000円程度で二名泊まれたので決めました。 部屋は狭いですが、寝るだけならいいと思います。

We expected a better value based on previous stays with similarly priced hotels. It was serviceable and clean.

The hotel is close to the station (700 m walk) and bars/restaurants.

We asked for non smoking room but you could smell the cigarette as soon as you enter the room. The bed mattress is hard and got a back ache when we woke up..... the room is very small and there is minimum amenities. Overall, the only good thing with this property is that they have the hot spring...

Lovely stay, breakfast was good and front desk shows good hospitality. Opposite a big departmental store and many choices of eateries. It is a ten minutes walk from the JR station and you could avoid going down an underpass with your luggage by crossing the road with traffic light further down. Bus company is in the lobby provides excellent connection to ‘hell’ visits or your location by bus.

Very convenient, nice little hotel not far from downtown and the station. They have a good breakfast buffet and a nice little in-house spa.

Very good location if u don't hv a car, bus stop to beppu and yufuin in front of hotel, BF was the same for the whole 3 nights we stayed, the Onsen is clean and not many people which was relaxing. We booked the standard room with king size bed, the room and toilet is very very small, in fact once you open 2 x 20 inch suitcase there is not much room to move, we had to push the small coffee table and chairs against the wall. Overall a nice clean convienent hotel I would recommend

Decor is ok, onsen is ok. Breakfast selection is good. One thing I don't like is the room air conditioner cannot be set to cool or warm, is already preset to warm when I stay in, the outside temperature was 15C, if I turned on AC it will be too warm, I had no choice to open the window, unfortunately, I was bitten by mosquitoe by doing so during the nite.

Location is good, bus stop right at the hotel, opposite to a department store. Lots of restaurants along the way to the train station.10 minutes walk to train/bus station, and bus information counter at the lobby of the hotel. Room is clean too, two different kinds of pillows available.

Definitely don't stay here!

When we got there, they gave us a smoking room, which we hadn't chosen, asked us to pay extra in case we needed to change to no. smoking (my friend had a flu, so we didn't want a smoking room), and then they told us that they'd give us a noun smoking room free of charge, which made us happy to go to our room. When we arrived to our room, it was a single room (one towel, bed for one) and they refused to change it. We slept ok but still wouldn't go back there ever. The hot springs they had in the second floor were too small for the amount of people that they accommodate, and us being western we got really bad looks from the Japanese ladies, who even screamed at us, which hadn't happened to us in our whole trip, and we've been to many hot springs. Overall this hotel was a very bad experience in our trip.

Located on a busy road a little far from the charms of Beppu. Lovely bath facilities and service was excellent.

Staff not helpful

Room is very small. Other guest scrached our rental car n recep called us at 8.30 am in the morning to see our car at the car park. My hubby n myself went down n police taking report from the accident site. Rverything was settled at 10.30 am. However we requested for late check out coz we have not taken our bfast. The F.D staff told us very strictly that we need to check out at 11 am sharp. Very disappointed

Good facilities epscially hot spring , clean and tidy , lucky that nobody was there while I was enjoying the onsen by myself only ! The room was comfort and clean however the bathroom is very small. The location was great , just a street across the most crowded city Centre with all restaurants there, hotel buffet was not bad in this special price.

Unique Experience

Okay the room was very small but by US standards, not too expensive. It was very clean and modern. The onsen (hot spring bath) was an unique experience that was not to be missed. Very peaceful. My husband loved the breakfast buffet of traditional Japanese dishes. Very close to shops and walkable distance from the train station.

The bus from Fukuoka airport stops right in front of the hotel. Good base for day trips.The 500 yen breakfast is a bargain. Enjoyed the public bath every night.

Good quality hotel with excellent facilities

The room was comfortable and well appointed, including a complimentary mobile, kettle, fridge, TV, etc. The only thing missing was somewhere to put luggage/clothing. The small area just inside the door is good for a couple of days at most and a large suitcase becomes somthing to trip over. Apart from that, this is an excellent hotel. The breakfast buffet (Y500) is varied and comprehensive with a daily changing menu. Highly recommended.

A bit over my expectation.

Rooms are small but everything is clean and tidy. Very new interior. The hotel recommended a very nice restaurant nearby, it was a locally popular place to dine. A nice bonus! Downside is the small washroom.

Good to stay

The semi-double bed room is really small for two persons. Bath room is just for taking bath, no electric plug for hair dryer that you have to do it outside bath room and luckily I have my small mirror for travelling that helps easing the problem. Difficult to find space to open our baggage. Good experience are staff at front desk responded our request efficiently. They do provide free parking for hotel guests. The car park 1&2 next to hotel entrance are always full, we went to another open parking lot across the road which is not too far away, took the car park ticket and showed it to hotel front desk staff, they would give you a coupon for free parking (overnight) when you drive away next day.

Hotel is just renovated so it is new and clean. An outdoor public bath is enclosed with high wall so you can’t see any view. Many bus stations to a jigoku is very near. Restaurants and shopping area is not far, just across the road. Walking to Beppu station is in 7-10 minutes.

Not recommended

1. When I checked-in, hairs were found on the wall of bathroom. 2. A noted was left to ask me not to leave water and tea bags in the cup. 3. I stayed for 3 nights, and a dedicated coin from the hotel is needed to raise the drop bar of the car park. When I asked the front desk for the coin before I went out for the day, they are not willing to do so.

Clean hotel. Not far way from JR Station and department stores. Hotel outside is the bus stop.

Optimal Location, Reasonable Price

There was a bus stop right in front of the hotel (and the bus center was in the same building) so it was easy to get to and from the tourist sites all over the city. It's also easy to reach the hotel from Beppu Station, although the building and sign aren't that conspicuous so I actually walked past it when I was trying to find it. The room was compact but acceptable, and the breakfast buffet had roughly the same stuff every morning but I was satisfied by the variety. The surrounding area (and the whole town in general) are really quiet at night, but there are still many restaurants as well as a supermarket in the vicinity so finding dinner is not a problem. If you don't have a car, you're going to be taking a lot of buses around the city, so I highly recommend this hotel to those sightseeing by bus.

Beppu city centre with good onsen

The room is bit small but the facilities are very new, clean and tidy. Very comfortable. There is also a hot spring for free for guest to enjoy. Location-wise it was a bit of walk from the Beppu Station.

Nice hotel with natural hot spring

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the JR station, they offer free parking lots, great for travelers who drive on their own. Booked a non-smoking room, but found a little cigarette smell when we enter the room. It was not strong, so we didn't request for a change of room. The room itself was clean. The hot spring was nice and staff did check up the water condition at regular hours. There are varieties of food to choose from for the buffet breakfast. Reasonably priced. Would recommend it to others.

立地環境はとても良いです。近くにスタバやお土産やさん、空港バス、コンビニもあります。別府駅も徒歩圏内。ホテルは古さも感じられる所はありますが、お部屋はリフォームされており、スッキリとしています。特に不便に感じる事はありませんでした。

スタッフの皆さんがとても感じ良く対応して頂き、お陰さまで小1の息子共々とても良い新年を迎えることができました。 今回唯一お風呂に関して、貸切湯がない為かなり悩みました。7歳ということで女湯に入る訳にもいかず、とは言え小1…父親は仕事のため留守番で…どうなることかと思いましたが、結局今回の旅行で１人男湯デビューをしました。こちらの心配をよそに、露天風呂が気持ちよかった!!と申しておりました。

とても快適でした。翌日のタクシーを呼んでくれる時の応対や食事場所での接客も良かったです。

老朽化が気になる

来客のお客様と一緒に仕方なく宿泊しますが、部屋が狭く、バスルームがカビだらけなので出来れば宿泊したくないと思わせるようなグレードです。マリオットホテル系が別府に出来ない思わせられます。
