A bit disappointed because it was noisy at night, my capsule was dirty you could see hand marks around and the air system you can not close it, so all of us who slept there got sick afterwards. Not sure if this would be in all of the capsules or only the ones on this location. Also due to the sleep disruption and change of capsule the sleep report will be useless
Capsule pod's were nice. But I was told from one of the receptionist's, the balconies and stairs were not accessable. The lockers were narrow with not enough space for two carry-ons. I had to take some of my clothes out and spread them out in my locker for all my stuff to fit. Also the locker corridor was narrow. Trying to change without knocking someone behind you trying to walk to their locker was a massive challenge!
Very clean and convenient. The lounge was much smaller than other 9hours I have stayed at.
cation not too far from the metro. They provide you with loungewear, towels and slippers which is quite nice. You have a good locker to store your gear and even can store larger items in their storage. If staying multiple days they ask you to leave between 10a and 2p for cleaning. Men and women stay separately, and they have separate elevators for security.
I’d stay again with less luggage
This is definitely a great experience and I would 100% come back. The capsules/pods were very spacious and everyone respected each others privacy. The toilets on each floor was perfect but I’d say, don’t stay if you have a lot of luggage as the lockers cannot fit large suitcases, so they have to store it at reception. You have to vacate the premises between 10am-2pm so they can clean. They provide you with pyjamas and a towel in a bag and you form a routine very quickly. I really enjoyed it!
For a capaule hotel and the cheap price, this is honestly a great option. Luggage space is small: my carry on suitcase fit but only when not expanded. Noise is a bit of a concern when sleeping, but they’ve done everything they can to minimize and encourage thoughtful behavior. Shower area was clean and well stocked. For the price, it’s a great option.
Great sleeping pods but the washrooms/shower area aren’t very comfortable. Lockers are very small and so is the lounge area which makes it highly inconvenient. Fair for the price paid
Sleeping in a capsule hotel was an interesting experience but checking in was slow and bothersome. Definitely not a place to visit if travelling a group.
I feel like the staff not aware of people’s luggage’s they kept losing my luggage after it was stashed in the luggage area but the bed itself was comfortable enough to sleep a couple of nights other than that the lockers are too crammed into together it’s small can only fit so much into it.
This is always a great place to stay and very affordable
It was convenient though there was a lot of hair in the showers due to the number of other guests and no room at the sinks in the morning in women’s restroom. Bed was clean and cozy.
Good for one night stay
This place is good to stay at for one night. When it can be very crowded in the public spaces but that is what you can expect when staying in a place like this
It wasn’t a peaceful night.
Cute neighborhood
Everything's excellent
It was great
The staff was very helpful and helping me through the process of having my luggage sent to my other location. They were very patient with me and I am thankful for that and plus the recommendation where to eat close by was A I end up finding right next-door to the hotel was an authentic Noodle spot
they ask to leave the property from 10am to 2pm. This was shouldn’t mention before booking. People don’t know till you arrive to the property for the checkin. Staff also wasn’t friendly enough
First time experience sleeping in a pod and it was great! The staff was very friendly. Everyone respected the sleeping space. Train station was nearby. Stores are within walking distance.
Best Hostel Experience Ever
The best hostel I have ever stayed at. It was super clean and functional. Their pillow is hard but so comfortable. They even give you slippers, pants and a long-sleeve shirt.
Good capsule hotel! Showers and locker room were all clean and worked well. The capsule was good and quiet. It was a little too warm for me but otherwise no complaints.
Sleep test
Close to various train stations all within 5 to 6 minutes walking distance, the area is very busy which is good, beautiful vibe at night, we are happy with the 9hours hotel staff, very respectful and helpful most definitely will stay here again
It’s near everything so the stay was convenient.
First time in a capsule hotel
This was my first time in a capsule hotel. I really like the concept but would have slept better if the pillow was not that hard. I realise that all hotels un Tokyo where I stayed have hard pillows. Most of the friends travelling with me found the mattress hard as well but I did not have an issue with that since my home mattress is hard. I would avoid this hotel if you have issue with hard pillows ans mattress. Othewise, this is a really good Choice for a very cheap price. Hotel is well located, close to a 7/11 and metro station. The Bizz Tower that is close by has good food options for vegetarian like me. The only thing that I found was missing in the hotel is a place to sort your things from your bags/suitcase. You dont have much space to do so at your lockers.
Toilet needs a hand wash station
Swift check-in process and friendly staff. Lockers and bathrooms were a bit small, but has little affect on the overall experience.
Great space, clean, friendly staff
Messy restroom and locker areas. Difficult to navigate lockers if anyone else is there. Beds uncomfortable.
A great stay, I slept very well during my stay. I didn’t go for the sleep report, I heard people complain that there was beeping going off in their pods, I think this was for the sleep report, glad I didn’t chose it! The lockers are quite narrow so if you’re bringing a large suitcase, be sure to have a smaller bag to store clothing and everything you need for your stay. Staff are lovely and very polite, easy to communicate with even if you’ve struggled to learn Japanese! The hotel is busy but this didn’t impact on my stay and it still felt quiet. I’m staying again at another 9h Nine Hours for the rest of my stay, as the pods somewhat force you to get out exploring as you’re not really supposed to lounge around, great for making the most of your time in Tokyo!
Check in was very easy even as a customer unable to speak Japanese. I showed my Expedia booking and passport and given keycards and a rules guideline. Locker room/bathrooms/showers accessed via the elevator to base floor (men). It is well maintained and organized. On my last day someone had carelessly damaged one of the shower head handles, but it was still working fine. Soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided in each private shower. You are given sleeping clothes and indoor slippers. The locker room area is where you will be taking out/reorganizing your clothes and can get a bit congested at certain hours, but a bit of manners and consideration goes a long way. The capsules are large and a good size for me (5ft8) and my brother (5ft11) had no complaints as well. Some guests were more considerate of others sleeping during the night, so your experience will vary depending on your peers that enjoy the stay with you during your time at 9h. At the time I visited (checked out may 2nd), luggage delivery was not offered. Very happy with my stay with helpful and patient staff. Thank you for the hospitality!
Generally good but some of the people bring their suitcase upstairs or not changing the room shoes are very loud especially during night time and early morning Need better suitcase management Others are fine
Showers were subpar but everything else was clean and orderly. Pods were larger than we expected. Sleep report was a fun add. Internet was reliable. Lounge is tiny. Agree with previous comments that experience with front desk staff is inconsistent - definitley poor communication and disorder there. Overall, we agreed it was fun to try but would not do the experience again. Great option for those on a budget though!
Loud roommates unavoidable
Smelly bathrooms and pods don’t have a door, just a curtain. Quite loud…
This was awful. Rules are clearly stated at check in, but it's not respected by guests. Collectively had about 2 hours sleep due to the constant door open and closing, slippers scuttling by and conversations between drunk friends using it as a backpackers stay. The showers were so mouldy you would feel cleaner staying unwashed. Never again
I didn't realize until check in that everyday between 10-2pm you fully have to check out and are not allowed to use your bed or locker during that time. Only the lobby seemed open. So it was pretty inconvenient to have to pack and repack my bags multiple times. Also since the lockers are in the basement its just a lot of moving around and didn't feel relaxing. But it was super cheap and if you only need 1 night and want to experience a pod its an option. I wish i tried other pods while in Japan though. This was a last minute accomodation.
Clean beddings every night is good.
This location does not have a microwave. While I recognize the price I paid for the visit, it is extremely unfortunate that they lack even the most basic amenities. I would reconsider another capsule hotel, if possible.
Comfortable and enjoyable stay
Nice residential location for the hotel, but very small inside so was difficult at peak hours when there were lots of people moving around. Other than that, nice service as expected at nine hours, good facilities and received by sleep report a couple weeks later.
They need a larger locker space for people to unpack etc. They also need to upgrade their showers (there was a bit of mould). Other than that great experience would consider for solo travellers
Everything is great except that a constant noise during sleep . Not sure what is about . Forgot to ask
Hello, The sleep lab was an amazing experience. Never before have I slept in capsule and found it super comfy and peaceful. Slept very well. The receptionist was very helpful and kind. Thank you
I wanted to try the capsule hotel thing at least once so that was fun but honestly just stay in a real hotel. It’s not as fun as you think. This place was fine though, if you really want to try the capsule then this will do nicely.
This was a one of a kind experience. We waited a long time to get checked in and the bathrooms in the women’s area were not functional during our stay. Everyhad a great sleep!
N/A
Overall the place was great, the girl who check me in had very good English. The whole facility was clean and quite. The bed and pillow were a little stiff for my preference.
Good concept overall, but poorly put into practice. Nice design and location, but the capsules are divided only by shades that absorb zero noise, so unless you have earplugs prepare to have sleepless night. Hard to get good sleep analysis that they offer under these conditions. Maybe this analysis reflects to this situation, since we have received none.
Very nice staff and clean capsules.
Very nice capsule!
Nice!
Nice and clean!
Cheap and clean!
Great value stay!

よかった!
Great place to stay, quiet and convenient to trains. Breakfast was great each morning. No real communal area, expect the coffee shop out the front, and check in suitcases do not fit in lockers so they must be stored at reception. Over great stay though.
Really good place to stay ans super clean, would recommend to be a light packer (hand carry luggage). Only drawback is that the place did not have any drinking water/hot water services :(
Convenience and closeness to shops eateries and both Asakasa Mitsuke and Chiyoda Stations
It’s was Great clean and cheap. It’s the best overall
Great value, but don’t expect a hotel
Had an unexpectedly good stay here, and I’d definitely consider staying here again. Great value for a clean and secure place to shower and sleep, but definitely know what to expect first (and don’t expect a hotel!). I wouldn’t recommend it for everyone, but it’s a decent option for solo or light travelers who just need a place to sleep. Or, stay for your first night in the city (ie. before doing any shopping!) just for the novelty :) Some things to know: - have to check in/out each day, and your locker is basically inaccessible in between (no worries if you’re out the whole day anyways) - locker is tall but there’s only enough floor space for a carry-on luggage (larger luggage can be stored at reception) - locker area is small, it’s hard to navigate/pack/unpack when everyone else is trying to do the same. During my stay 8pm was busy but pretty quiet after 9:30pm so you have more space. 9-9:30am is busy too since everyone’s getting ready to check out at 10am. - no ‘real’ common area, so it’s great if you just want a space to shower and sleep at the end of the day. Not a place to chat with your travel buddy. - sleep pods surprisingly spacious (I’m ~155 cm and can sit up and roll around with room to spare). But it does get stuffy sleeping with the privacy screen down and the PJs that they provided. I ended up sleeping in a tank top. - locker and bathroom areas really clean given the amount of traffic going in and out! Staff members clean the area quite frequently.
Friendly staff and clean similar like all the 9h brand
Super clean, great location, and friendly staff. Perfect place to stay for a single traveler. This was my first experience in a capsule hotel and I only have one complaint. A couple of my fellow floor/roomates were too loud early in the morning
Home away from Home
In Akasaka, Tokyo their is this little nook in a small corner that you have to walk up a slight hill towards a beautifully design cube hotel. As you walk down the ramp you may see other guest sitting idle by outside enjoy the fresh air and scenery. Maybe a curious French woman having a smoke in the smoking area. When you first walk into the hotel you’re greeted by the staff from the hotel check in desk with gallivant smiles from ear to ear. They’re very friendly and more than willing to be helpful to accommodate your luggage issues if you have more than one suitcase. As they process your check in you see a unique and beautiful Japanese women who looks to be mixed or (hafu) as they country says but isn’t mixed at all. She has a curious New Zealand or Australian accent quite pleasant to listen to. Or you may meet a man who has the eyes that can look into your soul and give you the best tasting cup of joe you could imagine. The hotel is separated by four floors, two for men and two for women. Unfortunately you cannot sleep next to your partner at night but isn’t that a good thing to not get kicked or covers pulled from you for a few nights? Think adult dorm room with better bedding and showers.
I stayed for 4 nights at the akasaka location. It was comfortable, clean, and the staff were very helpful (all were fluent in english). My only complaint is that there’s only one USB port in the pods. Meaning I could only charge something one at a time. Otherwise, it was excellent!
No space to keep the luggage close by. It is a hassle to run down to reception and get stuff out of the luggage each time you need something or forgot something. Luggage lockers on the floor would be very helpful.
Very unique and stylish place in a great area and with everything you could need
Very clean! The staff was very helpful and spoke very good English. They also have pretty much all the amenities you need. I stayed for only one night but was sad to leave. Definitely would come back! Awesome experience.
Stay at 9h
It was beyond expectation! Too noisy at night though, and a plus would have been a bigger social area.
The Staffs were very kind. Specially the women staff.
Food
If you explore this area you will find you have a plethora of food choices. A top rated coffee shop in the hotel as well.
Slept very well using ear plugs and an eye mask Mattress very thin
Comfortable & Fuss-free Stay with Budget Price Tag
I’ve always loved the Nine Hours group of hotels and have stayed at almost all of their branches. It’s an old concept (at least in Japan) creatively re-designed and mindfully rejuvenated. Thumbs up for pushing the boundaries of capsule hotel offerings.
Near station
Everything's fine except the payment method of hotel you need to pay separately on each day even we booked in Expedia. (the price on each day are confused and not match with Expedia) We have once stay at 9h Kyoto we have to check-in again everyday like this but we can paid all of them on first night it much better and not too confuse
Capsules are an interesting stay, but not ideal for travelers with large luggage. Space is very clean, but very tight - not much room to pack/unpack. No chairs or tables to get organized. Great for light travelers.
I really liked the aesthetic of the place, it was very nice and Quite clean. I was slightly worried I’d feel claustrophobic but the architectural design really helped to open up the space and make it feel natural even while it looked futuristic (with glass + plants)! The capsule was also pretty roomy; I was quite taken aback even though I’d watched a few YouTube videos that reviewed the 9hours chains haha. accidentally left my locker card in my locker multiple times, staff was friendly enough to help me with replacing a new one to open up my locker! They also helped me out with booking my limo-bus back to the airport (by lending me the phone). :) amenities are great, they provide you with new toothbrushes and slippers and pajamas every night/check-in, and although check out every morning sounds troublesome, it’s actually made really easy and convenient, just pass your keycard and amenities bag to the counter when you’re leaving for the day and come back and sign in; process doesn’t take longer than 5 minutes! The only thing I’d say is that slippers are a little thin; so it doesn’t really protect your feet from the ground if they’re sore hahaha but it does keep your feet from getting dirty!! Overall I really liked this place, it was very convenient with 3 metro stations and many convenience stores within walking distance, and the coffee is great! (Also I’d recommend the bakery nearby a la bonne heure; they make great strawberry tarts! Would stay again!! :)
Will stay again next time
Comfortable staying with nice and supportive staffs. Ramen restaurant nearby is one of the best treat we ever have across Japan during our three weeks trip. Although more spaces in the locker room is preferred, the capsule pot is comfortable. Short walking distance to two subway stations.
Great location, clean rooms but rude staff
The receptionists were really unfriendly considering Japanese customer service standards. The bathroom and pods were clean and well-maintained, I just wish I had been treated like a human being when checking in.
Excellent in all ways!
Great experience! Everything is very well organized. Excellent futuristic-looking capsules. The give you toothbrush, towels and.. pyjama! Very good wifi too... I highly recommend this place.
A+
Simply amazing. Very lucky to have found this place. Amazing amenities and location. Very highly recommend it for your trip to Tokyo.✌
This hostel feels new and the capsules feel futuristic, they even have room in the locker for a small suitcase. You to check out every day before 10am(you can check in again after 2pm), this did feel like a hassle to me sometimes
Convenient location
Very convenient location for me as I was there to stay since it’s close to the Biz Tower where my client’s office is. It is also close to the green subway line!
No air vents inside the pods, just a little black out shade comes down and very loud with people moving around
It’s a hostel so not much room but the capsules where bigger then I thought. I could sit up in it with out bending and they clean the capsules every day. Location was pretty good to. Easy access to subways and food. Also within walking distance of Harajuku, 20mins or so. The cons- The showers wasn’t clean. Granted they have like 80 people using the showers and I believe there are 10 showers. They said they clean between 3-4am. I was up at 5am two nights in a roll and felt like the showers was ehh. You also have to check out everyday at 10am and turn in ya key even if you are staying some days there. That was also a pro because then it makes you start the day early. The last thing was payment. They did not charge you for the full amount at once or at check out. They billed you every-time you checked back in. When you come in from a long day of touring, the last thing you want to do is have to check in again. I would stay there again and recommend it.
No Chair.
Overall, the place was immaculately clean and well-organised. My main beef was the lack of place to even have a comfortable chair to sit. Come to think of it, absolutely no chair whatsoever anywhere even in the washroom area and the reception. There were chairs to sit in the coffee shop adjacent to the reception but one is not allowed to sit unless they buy a cup of coffee and there were only six or seven grilled-type chairs which are very uncomfortable.Being a pod hotel, you can only crawl to sit in your own pod. This is definitely not for everyone particularly if you are a senior or even just slightly physically handicapped. I guess I will never stay in a pod hotel if I can help it.
It will be better if places showet mat. And it is terrible that all the hairs are on the floor during peak time of shower. It will be nice if staff could clean more frequently. And most importantly, the accommodation is just very environmental unfriendly. I saw the rubbish bags outside the building and there were loads of the slippers. I think we should concern more about the environment and not to produce too many garbages.
easy to go Shinjuku Shibuya. Roppongi,Ginza.Tokyo Station
Great capsule stay at 9 hours
Check in was easy. Staff explained the rules in staying in 9 hours. Unfortunately, some people still wore their shoes to the guest floor eventhough you are suppose to wear slippers already. Considering I was staying for 3 nights, I requested to have my capsule changed to a unit farther away from the doors and with less foot traffic. The front desk had me moved for my last 2 nights stay. Toilets and showers were relatively clean and I didn't have to queue either. The locker area tends to be constrictive especially if everybody is there at the same time. The locker could fit the medium luggages but the door hinge scratched my luggage so best to use the face towel in between the hinge and the luggage to avoid the scratches. You do have to check out by 10am but that's ok if you have plans or are out by that time anyway. The capsules are big enough for me (5'7 height). I could sit up comfortably. Didn't feel claustrophobic. Akasaka is a good neighborhood with 4 subway lines within 5 minute walk away. There's lots of restos that are open early and late as well as convenience stores and 24 hour supermarkets. The price of 9 hours compared to getting a hotel room makes it a top choice if you are in a budget.
Clean and convenient. Recommend
Loved nine hours. The beds and bathrooms were clean and the staff were lovely. Great location and access. There is a good little coffee shop in the foyer that is perfect for your morning pick up, and some good bars and resturants in the area. The station is a short walk away. The not so good stuff: the bed space was very very heated. Almost too hot. The space for your luggage is a tiny bit too small. If the people in the lockers around you are trying to get ready there is not enough room for you all. It would also be nicer if the common space was a bit larger and more comfortable. Overall, very happy with ninehours and would return.
Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in.
Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Clean utilities and free soap/shampoo in the bathrooms! Impressed with the pods. Comfortable and quiet with great views. They even lend you a pair of pajamas, which I thought was a nice touch. Extends the time until I have to do laundry. The only downside was you have to check out everyday at 10am and can’t use the facility again until 1pm. If you booked multiple nights you’re allowed to keep your things in your locker. Wasn’t really a problem as I was out exploring all day anyway.
Property is aesthetically unique and in a quiet street. Staff was helpful by American standards, but par for the course in Tokyo. Overall, the only thing that bogged my experience was the lack of ventilation in the pods. Otherwise, this was quite a pleasant experience.
This was my first experience with a capsule hotel and I was impressed. Check-in was quick and easy. Lockers are provided to store your luggage and I took some essentials to my pod for the night. I only had a carry-on size bag so if you have a larger or more than one bag it will not fit. I noticed those larger bags kept near the reception. Bathrooms were well lit and clean. Shower was nice. They provide loungewear to use if you like. Hallways in the sleeping area had windows which contributes to the airy feeling. Pod was larger than I thought and offers more privacy than a typical hostel bunk. The cafe space is a bit small but I enjoyed tasting varieties of single-origin coffee and watching the barista skillfully craft each cup. I got a discount as a hotel guest. I only stayed one night but after this I would not hesitate staying a few more next time.
Not As Good As Other Locations
This location was not as nice as the Asakusa location. The showers were kind of dirty and at night it smelled of hot bad breath in the pod room. The elevators were the worst. The staff were some of the friendliest though I thought the cattle call before check-out time was unnerving and unnecessary, I left behind some things because I was so flustered by it. If you stay more than 1 night you have to leave at 10am and return at 1pm which is a little ridiculous.I don't know if the contrast between this and other locations has to do with the local area because I noticed that many of the guests at this one were extremely rude.
Good capsule hotel.. that looks really modern and staff are really nice with guests
Really Clean and Pyjama Provided
The place is really clean, and the capsule is spacious enough not to make you feel confined. Venue close to shopping district as well. We stayed here for 1 night only, and it was awesome that pyjamas were provided so we didn’t have to take out our luggages.
The location was well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was as also very central with many restaurantes and bars close by.
Nice large pods that were surprisingly comfortable. The only downside was that the lockers downstairs were cramped and didn’t fit my bags. However the staff will hold them for you behind the desk so it wasn’t a big deal.
Straight forward. Simple. Place to clean up and sleep. I don't drink coffee, but everybody is saying the coffee is good. Mattress not the most comfortable, but can't complain much. Plenty of bathrooms and showers so no availability problems.

I very recommend the place Thank u guys😍
