Good location, good value. Clean, functional hotel

The hotel was very busy but the rooms were superbly quiet and comfortable. The only slight issue was that even with the aircon turned to minimum the room was still quite warm. But excellent value and perfect for what we needed. A good option was that in exchange for not having our room cleaned, we got two free drinks vouchers which we exchanged in the bar the next day. Brilliant!

Perfect family friendly hotel

Great in general but one of the elevators wasn’t working so long waiting lines trying to get in and out of the hotel.

This hotel was relaxing elegant, and functional to my needs. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet and the man who seemed to be in charge of it when I was there was super! The front desk staff was very helpful!My superstar when I stayed was Julia Leonhardt. She was friendly,attentive, and quick to help resolve any issues.I look forward to my return. Great Staff!!

Actually a little south of the traditional Altstadt area of Cologne. You definitely need to be ready to walk if you want to hot the Dom area. Parking exists but in a separate building around the corner. Very tight and small parking spaces.

Great installation & service

A very comfortable stay for my daughter and I in Cologne. Our room was large and quiet. Comfy beds and pillows. Roomy bathroom and nice to be able to make a cup of tea or coffee. Nice green touch to offer a drink for no servicing. Very friendly staff. Nice touch to send up a birthday cake.

It was a beautiful hotel & we enjoyed our stay there. Room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. Staff was helpful & friendly. Good location convenient for walking. Would highly recommend.

I was told the bar was open i til midnigt. But they chose to close at 11pm. I only got there at 1030 feom thr airport.

Located just in front of the chocolate museum and sports museum. 10 minutes walk to the dom.

Good location but they should clean better. 1st room had food under the bed. 2nd floor was dusty. Overall hotel should be renovated. Staff was nice.

A bit disappointed that there was no air conditioning, only hot air coming out, I did call reception and they said cool air only available in the summer, never heard of this before. The room was very warm when I arrived so had to open window which is extremely noisy with vehicles so not practical to do overnight. Also the window opens fully which could be dangerous. Otherwise the room was lovely with window closed it is reasonably quiet although you do hear when neighbour is turning off lights in their room.

Breakfast was kind of expensive for what they served. Bathroom was not super clean. Other than that it was ok.

Wonderful breakfast. Helpful staff. Nice free drink for not having room cleaned idea. Easy to access 3 of the Christmas markets and public transport. Room 102 was a little noisy. It also lacked a bath and I had booked a room that had a bath listed.

Really enjoyed this property, was an easy walk to many of Cologne’s landmarks, shopping and restaurants. My one complaint would be with the pillows, which were terrible, flat and no support might as well have not had one. Would we stay again, only if they get better pillows or at least ones that are not ready for the trash can

Excellent services from hotel staff especially Alex, he was exceptional nice, polite and very friendly. We had a little issue with the room central heating unit and he promptly provided us with 2 portable heater to keep us comfortable at night. In addition, the bedroom and bathroom were very clean and the service were very good.

Really clean hotel, opposite Chocolate Museum and about a 20 minute walk into the centre. Our room overlooked the courtyard which was a little noisy one night but it was all quiet from about 11pm.

There is no quality and comfortable mattresses and pillows. The hotel should change the Mattresses and pillows immediately. Breakfast, cleanliness, equipment, service, was great.

Short break in Köln

We had three nights here, the staff were friendly, the room very comfortable and parking easy in the garage. It’s less than 10 mins to the nearest tram stop and slightly longer to walk into the Altstadt.

Great hotel

Excellent hotel and customer service. The breakfast buffet was not worth the price of 20 euros. Besides that, I loved my stay will definitely stay again

They stuck ridgedly to their 3 pm check in which meant there was an queue taking me 20 minutes to get to the desk. Then when I got to our room there was a double bed rather than the twin I had booked for my daughter and I. I went down to reception and was told I’d have to wait 1-2 hours until it was ready so really couldn’t settle in the incorrect room and start enjoying our holiday. Every morning we were woken up at 8 am by the sounds of drilling above us which was still going on when we went out. When I complained at reception I was informed that the windows were being replaced and it had been agreed for the workmen to start at 8am. I booked this hotel for a restful holiday which it proved to be not!

The bathroom of our room had areas of ‘moss’ or ‘black spots ’ that need scrubbing out. Breakfast was fantastic and delicious

The room and bathroom were very clean, large and modern. The room also had Nespresso machine and kettle. Walking distance to bridge and cathedral.

Nice, modern facility - but they should update their key management system as we kept having issues with it.

Central location with good and competent service staff

The check in process took 40 min. The rooms I paid for are not what we got. I got locked out of my room 2 times. Staff tried to help but everything was more difficult than it should have been.

Amazingly helpful lady member of staff, booked us into our room early as we had a long day ahead, gave us loads of things to do and places to visit

Good location good availability to see Köln all round good hotel

Location is easy to find by car and is within 10 minute walking distance of the Central (HB) train station. Underground Parking is available for a minimal charge and is somewhat difficult to locate; signage is minimal regarding access to park. Rooms are of good size for two people and breakfast was not included however it could be purchased.

Staff was friendly- check in was quick. First class hotel. The room was quiet and excellent.

Premium Priced Dump - Don't bother!

This hotel is the worst I have stayed for a long long time. At least one of the reception staff is extremely rude and abrupt, Whilst discussing this with the manager she stood smirking the whole time. Clearly there is a reason that the manager has no wish to deal with this as other reviews mention this frequently. The room service is diabolical, hot chocolate wasn't even lukewarm, cups were cracked and chipped. Only ordered room service as there is no kettle, cups, tea or coffee in the room. A male member of staff tried to help by bringing us a pot full of hot water...not sure what we supposed to make a hot drink with never mind put it in to drink! You advertise this hotel with Air Conditioning. It is extremely warm and is regulated by head office, there is no option to change the temperature so there is no controllable air conditioning in the room at all. You state they have a pillow menu. Reception said they do not have a pillow menu. Pillows provided were horrendous we had to put towels and clothing underneath to get any support. You state there is a health club, this is a joke. A health club implies there is a health 'club' worthy of external members/subscriptions. There a couple of weights type stations (home standard) and a dilapidated treadmill. A sauna and some sort of shower area, NOTHING ELSE. We were only there two night and would never go back. This hotel charges premium prices and has very little to offer as a comfortable hotel never mind a 4*

Breakfast charge on the day of arrival. Breakfast ends at 10:00. I landed at the airport at 12:35. Will not be staying at this hotel any more. Nor anyone from my company. They just lost 4 loyal customers.

The carpet never change for long years plus so dirty and smelly. No air vent in bathroom. No cattle or tea or coffe in hotel . No free parking . I wouldn’t give 1* to this hotel

Great hotel centrally located to the downtown area and easily accessible to sites by walking. Liked the modern, clean rooms and really enjoyed the spaciousness of our family suite. Just a little noisy because it’s close to the road however we were super happy with this place!

Hotel and rooms good and clean. Suggestions - Hand grip needed in bath (Senior citizen) Bath mat as nearly slipped in bath. No clear instructions for use of safe. Bed I was in was comfortable but I tended to roll to side of bed as mattress sloped to side. Asked about Breakfast and was told it was 22.5 pp - v expensive, also unaware what hotel had by way of meals as no menu in bedroom or displayed in lobby

Good location, very clean. Front of desk staff were very helpful (particularly one Martha), and helped sort us out on the same day.

Size of room was great. Double bed with two mattresses sliding on base. Light in the very dark hallway of floor 2 "russian" style, only 20% were working.

Very well appointed .. Good size rooms .. sleep quality was excellent. Staff friendly enough .. No complaints.

Near quite a few scenic spots. Across the street from the Chocolate Museum. You can take a train tour to Koln Dom. The train looks like an old fashioned choo-choo train but drives on the street. Lots of fun!

Overnight Stay in Cologne

This was great hotel for an overnight stay. Great location, close to great shopping and lots of restaurants. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and offered plenty of options. Unfortunately the front desk is lacking in customer service. I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. Even though I couldn’t even get a simple smile from the front desk staff, I would stay here again :)

I like everything , good area of Cologne , in you dont want to pay for the parking in the Hotel , you can park under the Bridge beside the Hotel . Very clean , big rooms , very easy acess to get to the catedral and downtown . In you need some Shopping or supermarkt or places to eat , walk about 7 min to Severinstrasse where you can get everything . I loved my staying , the price is worth it . I highly recommended . Excellent lpcation for the christmas markets. Eady to walk to most places, plus the u-bahn was obly a 5 minite walk away.

Great hotel!

We stayed overnight for the Christmas markets. The hotel was really nice and clean. It’s right across from the Chocolate Museum and within walking distance to the Cathedral, train station, and shopping. We had a great time! The only issue was the parking. It wasn’t as easy to figure out where parking was. We had to go around the block and through smaller streets to get to it. When we finally parked, there were only about two spaces available since there is only one small level. We saw other cars come in that had nowhere to park. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly. We would definitely come back to this hotel again!

Wish that they would provide water in a room and a tea kettle with tea. Or have that service in the lobby, as there was no where to get water in the hotel. They only had it once when we checked in. Rooms for sure should have at least 2 free bottles, and be replenished daily. Location is really good.

Convenient and great breakfast!

Good position with easy walk along river to many bars and restaurants and cathedral. Excellent breakfast and helpful reception staff with perfect English. Large and comfortable room. Parking available at reasonable cost. Just be aware there is a Cologne city tax - percentage of cost of stay which obviously applies throughout the city

Nice hotel in downtown Koln

Nice and clean hotel. Room was spacious and bed was quite comfortable. However breakfast was a bit pricey. Only stay for one night on the way to a meeting in Belgium.

The staff was great, location is good, food is great, there was a nespresso machin in the room that was very nice. However the bad was not comfortable at all, and i didnt like the rugs everywhere.

Luxurious Family Room, Great Stay!

Stayed here for the 2018 Gamescom with my friends. I asked for a Family room with 3 Seperate Beds, but only got two instead. I didn't complain because my third friend had a plan of his own so it all worked out in the end. Very comfortable beds and pillows and the room itself was very lovely.

Overpriced, Rude Staff & Too Many Mistakes!

Last time I will stay at the Hotel, the check - in experience was an absolute night mare. From trying to charge me extra Taxes that where not mention before, with condition that they can be waived if I fill out a 2 Page Waiver Form explaining to why I am on a Business Trip, down to giving me a room at first with 2 single beds instead of a Double Bed. Further more the Reception response and service was close to dealing with a unhappy accountant that rather deals with Numbers than with People. To top it all off, after I complained about the Room and asked for a Room with a Double Bed, I got my wish. She told me that the Room is just one floor up exactly above the one I had before, but printed out the wrong room number and gave me the wrong key, instead of giving me the Key to access room 605 as it stated, the Key was meant for 603 (Room below was 503 that one with the 2 single beds) so, I thought that was a printing mistake and accessed Room 603. Only to then a few minutes later experience a couple wanting to enter my Room. When I told them there must be a mistake, they accepted that. However when I mentioned it to the Reception and explained the Situation, instead of appolozing for their mess up, the reception told me that I should of not entered the Room. Which is just plain rude. The Premium Internet I paid for 19 Euros for the 2 Days, is very slow, not worth paying for!! Again, last time I will ever stay at this place!

Nice location/nice staff

I was very pleased w/this hotel. The location was excellent. Just a short walk to dinning and shopping. Very nice walk, right on the river. Staff was wonderful. I recommend to anyone. If I am ever in Cologne/Koln again this is where I will stay.

Reaaonably central with just a leisurely stroll into city centre

Nice hotel. Great breakfast but €17.50 for parking per night. Our agent thought it was included. Most important historical sights can be reached bei foot. Frauen Turm, Cathedral, Ludwig Museum, Kanther Kolwitz Museum,. Walking along the Rhine river in either direction is interesting.

Close to down town, 15 minutes by walking. Next to river side, very nice view. Easy to access by bus, by walk from Dom.

Well located, great staff, ok accommodation

We like the location of this hotel and the staff were friendly, helpful and patient. In the room there was a Nespresso coffee machine. Things that weren't so good: - the air conditioning either didn't work or was overly poor because our room was sweltering! had a knock on our sleep. - the upstairs corridor really reeled of stale smoke, which wasn't great. - we also had a twin room when we had booked a double, but we didn't say anything to the staff so they didn't get the chance to rectify it. Other than that, it was ok for a couple of nights.

Great hotel on three river close to city centre

Easy to reach from airport and close to city centre. Hotel located on river by Chocolate Factory and is only a 10 minute leisurely walk front the city centre Cathedral and many great shops including great old style shops and modern fashionable boutiques. The river walk is beautiful affording great views over the Rhine and it's many tour boats.

Good location

We stayed 12th to 14th December to visit the Christmas markets. Hotel is right opposite the harbour market just in front of the chocolate museum. It is about a 10 min walk to the old town. We walked or took transport to 5 of the markets. Very enjoyable trip
