Very good
The hotel sits very close to the beautiful Paseo Montejo and we were able to walk to all the beautiful museums, plazas and churches. The breakfast provided delicious options and the staff was very friendly. If I could get back to Merida I would select this hotel again.
Great location and very friendly staff, the breakfast buffet is very well served with a different options and native food options.
All around great experience
The staff were very nice and welcoming. Our bathroom sink faucet leaked causing water to puddle on the floor. Late night noise from activities being held at nearby facilities and the Mercado plaza were annoying.
Close to many restaurants and sites. Floors in our room were very dirty
El hotel está deteriorado, la limpieza no es la mejor y el desayuno bastante normal.
Avoid staying in
The worst NH experience I had, no signs to park, dirty room, almost couldn’t sleep with my nose blocked of allergy. As a frequent customer of NH in Europe I was negatively surprise by the poor service and lack of cleaning of the room.
Excellent location I would definitely stay there again
Close to the venue I was attending With restaurants around area
Bathrooms too small and smelly No hot water on occasions
Great area, nice and clean very convenient and safe
Tuvimos una excelente estancia, el staff muy amable y todo salió muy bien. Gracias
Amazing experience, staff was so kind and helpful!
It’s ok.
Great location: walking distance to Paseo Montejo, restaurants downstairs, Ado & Turibus stop downstairs. Clean property, friendly staff, comfortable beds, definitely will return there on the next trip to Merida.
Wide recomendation.
Excellent hotel. Good service.
Excellent!
The services and accommodations where great…
All around good. We bought clients to visit our offices in Merida and staying at NH Collection was an excellent choice.
Its very nice
First time visiting the Yucatan
The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Despite my non-existent Spanish language, the patience, kindness and warm interactions for support and assistance from the reception, to the restaurant and kitchen, my stay was very memorable. My arrival and check-in was seamless. I had booked through hotels.com and didn’t realize that it included the buffet breakfast which included a wide variety of local and traditional American breakfast items. My room was very clean and comfortable with strong air conditioning to counteract my slow adaptation to the hot and humid days of the Yucatan. On my departure, my flight was very early, and the kitchen and reception staff thoughtfully curated a healthy fresh fruit breakfast for me to take away which was such a blessing, given the time restrictions when dashing for your flight back home. Everyone from soup to nuts at the NH Collection Merida Paseo Montejo was absolutely stellar, kind and top notch hospitable. The central location of the hotel was also key to access lots of local eats. Highly recommended!!!
The staff service is terrible
Great hotel and location
I love the location, it was easy to move around. Plenty options to eat there. The room was clean and neat. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional.
Very private, easy parking and 24 hour room service
Good hotel but not amazing
Overall is an average hotel. I was expecting a little bit more but did not get that extra special feeling. The first day the elevator didn’t work so we took the emergency stairs. It was disgusting, they have not cleaned that area in years. Food was good but a bit pricey.
The rooms had an strong musky smell due to the HVAC system we ask to be transferred to other room because the smell but still the same unfortunately the glass windows can’t be opened so no fresh air can come into the room
Staff was excellent service was great. Food options were fantastic.
The NH is a nice hotel at two corners of the Paseo Montejo. We did not try the breakfast/restaurant because there are plenty upscale restaurants available just down the elevator. The staff was very friendly and watching the sunset from the pool on the rooftop is an amazing experience. Highly recommendable!
The pool and that view were amazing! Very few towels at the pool side for use.
Mal internet
El internet muy malo. Variable la velocidad y para ser un lugar para negocios es pésimo ese servicio
I requested separate beds which they did not grant.
Excelente ubicacion del hotel, muy recomendable.
It was ok. I wouldn’t stay there again.
Nice hotel. Loud outdoor music.
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We were traveling with a pet the they were very accommodating. We had a very early flight to catch. The music (bass) coming from the courtyard of Paseo 60 was very loud. Until 1 am or so. A band played from 9pm at least 11pm. Would not recommend if you have plans to sleep.
Staff were friendly and helpful. It was centrally located and breakfast was good!
No bottled water in room. No hot water in shower. Would not say VIP service. Also no key to bar offered
The rooms were not ready, staff could care less and wanted to downgrade our rooms. The restrooms were not cleaned when we arrived to the rooms.
Great hotel Local to a plaza and has a great gourmet food court downtown stairs .
Outstanding service and great breakfast
The breakfast buffet it was amazing and delicious, and the staff very friendly and give us excellent service, I will definitely get back because of them and the fantastic breakfast buffet.
Nice hotel. Very attentive staff
Staff were great. Great location.
The stay was good
The hotel is inside the Paseo 60 shopping center and a block away from Paseo Montejo. Lots of restaurants, cafes and historic places to visit on a walking distance. Unfortunately the room floors, desk, night stand, and all the bathroom was extremely dirty, there was mold inside the shower. Hallways leading to the rooms were dirty and smelly as well. Rooms are small. We make the reservation for 3 people and only receive 2 (old and very used) towels we call once when we arrive that day and twice the next morning to get a third one and the towel finally appear right when we were leaving to check the city… The beds were comfortable and the breakfast buffet ($17 usd pp if you pay at the property) was good but not many options as you may expect for a buffet,
Excelente ubicación
I loved the extra benefits, I got upgraded to a Junior Suite with a hot tub! The pool was literally on the ceiling/top floor, and even though it was warm at night, not the best idea to get in during a thunderstorm. The room, considering it was a Junior Suite, was a bit small... I mean, it was fine, specially the bathroom, but I can't imagine how small a normal room would be. About the bathroom: Yes, it was very big, but I didn't like that there was no door for either the hot tub or shower, so all the water splashed out. About the breakfast buffet: For the price, it was okay... a little bit of everything, but not a big variety. The only thing is that there was no hostess, only one waiter doing everything, which was not very efficient. Experience during check in: Great! The person in charge at that moment was very nice, helped me print out some documents I needed, made the upgrade to the Junior Suite, etc
Very convenient to historic area Mérida Good dining nearby. We have stayed here before and noticed not as clean. Water was not hot and faucets leaked water
Excellent customer service and staff. Great restaurants option within premises. Walking distance to historic sites. Comfortable bed. Spacious room however a strong humidity odor was detected at the hallway and inside bedroom. No bar service. No ice due to malfunction freezer.
Location is perfect a lots of restaurants around at night.Music at night however the shows are from 9-11 that is a little late and you can hear the music in the rooms. The rooms need more attention on the cleaning. The nestle coffee machine did not had a lid where you put the water. No water bottles replenished everyday. Mini fridge locked unable to used. Head board with stains no enough towels for hand and face . The hallways smells humid.
Decent hotel with great staff and amenities, but the tissues were moldy, shower wasn't super clean and the bed was just ok.
Bien ubicado. Personal poco amigable
pros: it's in a great location with lots of restaurants nearby cons: it's old and poorly maintained
Great experience
Smaller than expected.
It was okay, I thought it was better, kind of smaller than I expected maybe thats why my rate. Overall was okay. I though I would have bathtub per the photos but I didnt.
The hotel was modern and nice image, however my experience with the service was horrible. We arrived at 11am (we knew Chek-In was at 3 but wanted to see if the room was ready or at least to leave our luggage and go walk). At 3 we showed up room was ready but only a 2 beds when we required for a king bed. She said to wait another hour because they had nothing ready. 1hr waiting nothing she knows we are there waiting but no communication so I go see her and she finally gave us a room. The place is nice however you can hear everything, isolation is not good, the bed was uncomfortable. One night we asked for room service never come. We never saw the stuff with a sincere smile.
Attention to detail.
Room was spotless my reservation was for two and there was only one robe. I was travelling with my dog and they were aware of this in advance and their were no food or water bowl for him. I had to ask the front desk and they only brought one bowl. Although they accept and charge for pets they did not appear prepared.
Limpieza y excelente servicio
Property ok but need an update in certain areas like the pool, halls...the towels are very old.
The front desk staff were excellent and very friendly- the bell man Elmer was friendly and very helpful We had 2 meals at the restaurant which were okay the food and service were mediocre
Property is clean and the staff is terrific- Elmer who carried up our bags was so informative and helpful and friendly. We went for dinner in the restaurant- many of the items on the menu were not available and the service was mediocre- the food was very good
The staff was super chill room is awesome loved the pool and the room would definitely come again
There was toilet paper in my bed. The room wasn’t ready for me at 7 pm checkin and they put used water in a bottle for the water in my room.
Well located and safe, and a fair price for Mexico (cheap by US standards). The elevators are hot -- both the one from the courtyard to the reception area, and the one to the rooms. There is live music every night in the courtyard, and my room looked directly over that area. Loud music until almost midnight on Friday and Saturday, and until between 10 and 11 on Sunday and Monday. Just because of that, I will not stay again, or I will ask if they can guarantee an odd-numbered room (but then, that will be on the street side, which can probably also be noisy).
Large bedroom
Nice place, great dinning options
Nice lobby. Need to improve services (towels, housekeeping, etc)
Entire 5th floor smelled strongly of mildew/mold. Multiple dehumidifiers running throughout our stay and almost every time we walked through the hallway, the units said empty bucket. We left a parking ticket at the front desk area and never got validated so we had to pay $15 USD to leave the garage. Pool was disappointingly small and not that clean.
The hotel is beautiful. Front desk staff are very friendly. Don't try to order drinks to the pool area, they'll never arrive. I waited over an hour for a drink and it never came. I ordered it from 2 different people as well.
I liked room confort, size and cleanliness. Towels were old, yellowish and ripped. There was a humudity smell in the room, that was not very pleasant. Anything else was OK
Marginal hotel with poor service and follow up
Address in google was wrong. No signs on road, and located above some restaurants so hard to find. Advised front desk of no hot water and supposedly sent someone to fix 4 times over 6 hours. Didnt ever come and wouldnt let me shower in another room. Stayed late to try and get a hot shower before a long travel day. Toilet kept clogging without using any toilet paper. Sink wouldnt drain. Hotel is above a courtyard that is actuve until late so also hard to get to bed before 11pm.
Just bad!
This hotel is presenting as an International chain. Upon stepping out the elevator one is hit with the most clawing smell of air scent. It is nauseating. by the time I got the reception, I was fighting back the urge to vomit. A strong scent being emitted from a machine can be just as bad as the stench from rotting drains. Anyone heard of the saying "even too much good perfume can be too much" Nothing subtle here. So much so that my sinuses were on fire and the aroma was scorched into my senses long after I had left the building. The phone in the room is only for calls within hotel. One can't phone out to Mexican no's without the front desk dialling, and there is NO ability to call Int. My bag stolen with credit cards and cash. Calling home was no poss. one receptionist on early evening duty did try to help but couldn't. Night duty guy was positively rude & annoyed I dared to bother him, I suspect he was taking a nap. The GPS locator for the hotel on google maps is also off by two blocks, so finding it on foot in the evening was tricky. There is also something funky with the room doors. I went out, and closed the door behind me. I returned to my room and the door was ajar. Testing it, the door closes, you hear it close, but a few seconds later, it pops open. Usually the pressure arm pushes the door closed. So one has to actually pull the handle and yank the door. Stay at the Hyatt hotel, it's on the same block and about the same price.
Great location. Large and clean rooms, modern and comfortable. Unfortunately they were short staffed in all areas of hotel, they said due to holidays. Those working were not very pleasant.
The staff is welcoming, and the hotel is perfectly located as part of a nice mall. Breakfast is great, and downstairs, the mall offers great options too. Walking distance to the main avenue… small rooms but with all the required amenities. The lobby area is great and we played several family games. Three perfect days. Thx!
Excellent place to stay.
it's modern and clean lined. generous room size. well located, good value. bar is welcoming and spacious. haven't found any negatives yet.
No hot water, leaks
Great staff. They where friendly and very helpful to my stay.
This is nicely located, easy to walk to nearby restaurants, art galleries & a gourmet Mercado is below. However.. said Mercado can get noisy depending on its events & if one is sensitive to volume, best to ask for a room on a side not facing said courtyard…
NH is always a good experience. Staff are friendly.
Loved the henequen design and the great architecture of the hotel
Great location and loved the courtyard with a multitude of restaurants. Staff very nice also. HOWEVER, there was a tented venue of some kind behind the hotel which hosted a raver or dance night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights which went on until at least 2 am. We were kept awake on Friday and Saturday nights with music so loud the windows were shaking. We complained and were kindly offered an upgrade to a junior suite on the other side of the building where it was quiet. Be sure to ask for a room on the quiet side of the building. It's not the hotel's fault, but believe me it's unbearable.
Hotel staff made our experience great, more than nice, helpful and polite. Congrats. Excellent service
Everything is clean and people working over there is very helpful.
It is the second time that I stay in this hotel, I like it. Very friendly staff and good rooms, although this time I did not like the bathroom so much, the shower felt old. The pool area does not have parasols and really need it. They also did not lend us the office for a work meeting that my husband had. Otherwise well.
needs new towels
the hotel needs new towels, everyday I received a towel with at least one hole.
A very nice, modern hotel with a lot of amenities. To be honest, it was very expensive for what you get. And although most of the staff was very accommodating and friendly, I was disappointed with the room service (waited well over an hour) and I requested a taxi to the airport on the last day, hours before it was required, and it was 30 minutes late so I was rushed at the airport.
Excellent everything
Really convenient to walk and safe it’s located right behind paseo de montejo one of the famous avenues in Yucatán
Excellent location.
Está situada en una plaza con muchos restaurantes y esta muy céntrico.
Great location with some bathroom issues
Great Location on top of a power center, new construction. The bathroon does not have a shelf to place soap and shampoo, there is no towel hanger and the lack of door mes a swamp outside the glass walls.
Wow, what a disappointment of a stay! We got sent to a room which wasn’t cleaned at all; towels on the floor, beds all messed up & trash still in the bins/on the floor. Disgusting. Went down to the lobby and they barely apologized, just sent us to another room. This room was cleaned but the toilet didn’t work so we had to go to the bathroom upstairs at the gym. We went to the rooftop bar to grab a drink and even though it says it was opened no one was there, everything was shut down . We decided to go down to the restaurant at the lobby, same thing. No one came to give us menus or to take our order, even though it was supposed to be open. Later that night we had bought a bottle of wine to enjoy in our room, got told they would supply us with a wine opener and after waiting an hour we called them again and then they said they didn’t have a wine opener at all. Oh and the AC was sounding like extremely loud bugs ALL night! A terrible stay! When we checked out we overheard multiple ppl complaining about similar issues. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Great
todo bien
The room had an intense humidity odor. Towels were worn out. Overall a good hotel.
en el area de la cosina en los desayunos creo que la muchacha necesita amar la cocina que le guste , que no lo haga solo por el pago . que le ponga corazon y sazon

Great Service
