This is a prime location near subway station and prime shopping as well as Dotonburi in Osaka. We had a nice stay and enjoyed the hip-ish neighborhood.

Very convenient for dining and shopping. Unfortunately the room is run down and the bathroom has mildew and needs to be updated.

location is good nearby train station, good to shopping. Room cleaning need to upgrade"dust" and in the event of an accident,please make announcements in english or mandarin(chinese).

Thank you for having this place available in the downtown area of Osaka. I am a solo traveler, so the option for the women's only floor was a nice option.

They took in a last minute reservation with no problem and the staff was very friendly.

I chose this hotel because it was during the days of my trip to Osaka. It was also a reasonable price. Good rooms for the price.

Amazing location with great staff

Hotels.com messed up the booking. Despite inputting that we were 2 adults and 2 children the app gave us one room. The room was clean, well appointed - and clearly meant for 2 as it had single beds. Mr Kawagoe the manager kindly upgraded us to the only room in the hotel that could sleep 4. I am VERY grateful for this. Most of the rooms in the hotel are only suitable for 2 people so if in doubt book 2! Amazing location on a wonderful street with great places to eat and have coffee. Book directly with the hotel !

Liked the location. Close proximity to Tokyo shopping and our needs. Did not like/Unhappy with the cleanliness of the hotel room bathroom. Upon entering the bathroom, the smell was musty and moldy. There was "black mold" on the sink between the countertop and sink. Very unclean and disgusting. Very unhealthy for the human body!

Super friendly staff, as expected in "friendliest city in Japan". Hotel itself, which includes rooms as well, feels a bit aged, but that is compensated with high cleanliness. Room with two beds was pretty small for the family of 2 with a child. Tight when you put your suitcases in but for the purpose we needed it it worked. Bathroom very clean. What I found super convenient was the cell phone that comes with the room. This reduced my data bill significantly. It is very very convenient and this kind of service is definitely recommending this hotel.

Excellent location, close to everything yet in a quiet area away from busy traffic and the crowd. Staff is great, breakfast is good, wifi is decent and room is clean. A couple of minor setbacks: a. The bathroom smells a bit, probably due to the dated toilet bowl. b. Pillows are small and mattress is not that firm. c. Room is small, but that's probably should be expended (Japanese standard). The hotel is already assessed a high rating, which can be further increased if (a) and (b) above are improved.

Good location, close to everything. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast is good. Overall good stay for a quick trip to Osaka. Carpet is dirty.

Will return for stay

There are free beverages such as coffee, tea, grape juice provided from 12pm to 10pm. The room is small but comfy. It is very close to the mtr startion. The only problem is that the air-conditioning, it is so warm that I feel stuffy.

Nice arrangement on luggage

The room is small, but it is expected When we get into the hotel there is hair on the toilet.... feel abit disgusting There is room for improvement for the staff , not sincere at all But the backend staff is nice. We take 1 day leave to other city and when we back , they have took our luggage to the room already. Very nice service.

New Osaka Hotel Stay

The room was a little old and outdated. Room had a smell of some freshener, but was a little strange. The environmental system wasn't working that well. We were on the 7 th floor and it was very warm in the room. The breakfast buffet was really good and worth the stay. The Hotel is located on a side street and with cell map, not too difficult to find. Location of Hotel was good. Very close to shopping districts. Overall, rate was reasonable, Staff was friendly, location is good and breakfast buffet was good. However, room just wasn't comfortable.

Central, hip hotel

Located in the centre of Amerikamura, it's a great place to stay in to explore hip Osaka. Lovely staff, reasonably priced, perfectly adequate without being at all fancy.

Excellent, professional, clean, great staff+food

Really great job, great all round, great staff the breakfast is awesome. quite alot of choices, including eggs, hammy bacon slices, coffee, grape and orange juices, bread and croissant selection and toasting oven. butter+strawberry jam salads, tomatos, fruit coffees, tea and juice available all day - awesome! well maintained for its non-new age - I cant tell how old, probably 10-20 years if I had to guess. very good condition. aircon made a bit of noise when going to sleep coz its on 24/7 I suppose. too tired to notice it much. shower and toiletries and toilet are great. walls are a little thin - you can hear kids yelling at their mother if they're nearby. But I love this hotel. awesome location of course too! they ask you to hand in key each time you leave, but they return it very quick each time you return - its good system. I would love to return here! Great job!

Good location and staff; room lacking

The staff were very helpful and location was excellent. Breakfast was good value. The room however was not as good. We have been travelling for 2 weeks in Japan and the bed was very small even by Japanese standards in our opinion. There was also an odour coming from the bathroom. When we noticed the air freshener bottle in the room on arrival we should have been concerned but didn't say anything. Wifi was also slow in the room but good in the lobby.

Reasonable hotel near shopping and transportation

We stayed for two nights. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Bathroom was good size and quite functional. Room amenities (AC, Wi-Fi) all worked well. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, the lobby was small and like hallways had a worn look. Throw rugs outside elevators were old and stained, giving a negative appeal.

A great budget hotel in a fun area of Osaka

This hotel has a great location if you want to hit the bars and clubs n the Shinsaibashi area. Additionally, its close to multiple train stations and some of the best food in Osaka. The hotel itself is a little cluttered, but the staff was kind and helpful.

New Osaka Hotel

I made a reservation 7 months ago but forgot requested for a non-smoking room. I made a change request later but when I arrived they gave me a smoking room. However they changed a non-smoking room for me next day. Staff were nice and accommodating. Close to metro station within walking distance and Shinsaibashi shopping area.

Good location

Most of the front desk staff were helpful, even if many of them speak little English. One of the female front desk staff was particularly helpful. I asked her to make a reservation at a restaurant in Kobe, and she followed through until she was able to connect with the restaurant. The breakfast was adequate, although the menu didn't vary much in the six days we stayed. The rooms were small, but clean. I had difficulty figuring out the air conditioner's remote controller as everything was in Japanese; the front desk staff came to my room a couple of times to patiently walk me through the different functions.

We had a great stay here at this small warmly and friendly hotel. Best location as it's only 10 mins walk to Dontonbori and only a step to subway Shinsaibashi. The hotel provided great breakfast and free drinks.

Good location

Easy to find, good for shopping, but the room is old decoration.

The hotel is located in a back alleyway, conveniently close to the Shinsaibashi subway station, which made it relatively easy to find. From check-in to check-out, the staff were polite and accommodating. The double room we had was small by Western standards, but normal by Japanese standards (we could fit our two carry-on suitcases in the room and could move around comfortably - travelers with more than two larger suitcases could have a more difficult time). Both the room and bathroom were clean and in good shape. The bed was pretty hard though. One thing I noted was the relative lack of outlets compared to the other Japanese hotels I stayed at - this room only had 2 outlets although they did provide a power strip. The free wifi was fine, we did not test the wired connection in the room. FYI, the TV only has Japanese channels. AC is provided by a wall mounted unit which was adequate in the late spring/early summer weather. Our room had a small balcony although you could not go out onto it and there wasn't much of a view (our room overlooked another apartment building). It was an easy 5-10min walk to the Shinsaibashi shopping area and Dotonbori, close enough to enjoy the action yet removed enough which made for a restful night. We did not make use of the breakfast so I cannot comment on its quality. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this hotel.

Old hotel using conventional room keys

Rooms keys are required to be returned to the receptionist everytime when leaving hotel. Room interior old. Not to put high expectations on the pillows and mattress. The breakfast provided is not too bad. But, you are required to choose breakfast time of 07:00hrs to 08:30hrs or 08:30hrs to 10:00hrs upon checkin for whatever reasons. My encounter of the lady receiptionist with not so welcome face (first time experiencing not so friendly welcome in japan hotels) when i check in. However, the rest of the staff are ok and can speak english. The hotel is very near to the metro and also the convenient store. (Short walking distance)

faul smell in the room

Shinsaibashi exit 8 - too many steps to go up, Faul smell overall in the whole hotel, dirty walls and carpet floors, low hot water pressure. too small room to open up even a small suitcase.

nowadays, Osaka hotel availability is so bad, full of tourists everyday. so the price is relatively higher than the past years. i can understand the situation but if you have no strong intention to stay the heart of city area, check Kobe or some satellite cities.

Fantastic hotel

Great location. Very polite and helpful staffs. Clean room. The size is not too small (I booked semi-double for two persons). Shopping and food are 1 min away. Very fantastic!

Nice hotel very close to Shinsaibashi station

Very convenient location, just take 2 minutes from exit 7 from Shinsaibashi station. Bed is too small and a bit crowded for couple but the room rate is pretty low so it is acceptable. Free bath salt for customers to enjoy bath tub inside the room which is unexpected, and quite impressive. Overall it is worthy to reserve this hotel and the staff there are really nice and helpful!!

Too small for us

I went there with my kids(10&14 year) but our room has only one semi double bed. We couldn't sleep there so we have to pay additional room fee.

Loved the location of this Motel. For us it was just right.. price, location, comfort. Rooms are a little small but no more smaller than the other motel rooms we stayed in while travelling Japan. I would stay here again.

Small room

I booked a room for 3 nights for two adults and two child. From the hotel photo, I don't expect the room was so small with two twin bed (I guess about 3.5 feet each). The twin bed size was very small, which I need to fit 4 person. Anyway, the plus point is breakfast was provided in this booking and we can fill up our stomach at early morning before starting our trip. Overall this hotel is good for budget trip and just for sleeping. If you plan to stay longer hours in hotel, please don't book this!

Good choice hotel for price

Convenient location and room is good as well. Only issue is that there is no free mineral water which is troublesome.

hotel is very near to subway, 5 minutes walk. within walking distance to Daimaru department store and across the main road is Shinsaibashi shopping and food area. Staffs very helpful and friendly. Will go back to stay in same hotel and also recommend friends.

Close to heart of Shinsaibashi

Smooth check in process. Wasn't hard to locate. Very close to Americamura and once you cross the main street you'll be in Shinsaibashi. So there are always things to do. The room was small but I guess that's the standard in Japan. Amenities are sufficient. The pillow was quite soft and beady on the flipside. When you leave the hotel you need to hand over the key.

Hotel is a little old..but maintained its charm.check in was efficient..however,lobby area is not so spacious.free wifi was a bonus! The wifi was very strong and we felt very happy with this.location was good...within 5 mins to subway.many eateries and mini markets nearby.walking to Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori was a brief 10 mins.

Customer service is excellent. Hotel is located near Shinsaibashi station. Nice toiletries are provided. However, the sound proofing is very bad.

the hotel staff are courteous. the rooms are clean. i wish there is an english news channel and adult channel for free like the hotels in Europe. the place is quiet and peaceful. it is near a subway station. The people are courteous. There is no difficulty in crossing the streets. You need a GPS capable phone so you can easily find your destination.

Great Location, Tidy and Clean Room

First impression upon stepped in the hotel was bad, strong cigarette smell and stuffy lobby, i thought, oh no... how are we going to stay here for 3 nights... But things all turns out very good after we got our room. The room is very tidy and clean, great location and at reasonable price. Will definitely stay at this hotel again if I’m going Osaka. Bed is very very small though..

Convenient Location - subway train + Shinsaibashi

The hotel is about 5 mins walk from the subway and 10 mins walk to the Shinsaibashi shopping district. The ambiance is very nice. At the entrance is a bar / restaurant where you can relax, listen to some nice music and browse different books. The hotel staff are friendly, each floor has a vending machine by the elevators. Wifi signal is strong and internet is fast. The bathroom has a big tub and amenities are complete. The desk in the room is big, the room is spacious.

Decent hotel

Conveniently located with a subway station and tons of restaurants/shops nearby. The building/rooms could use some updates, even though everything seemed well kept. I was not a big fan of the smell of air refresher they use in entire building - better than cigarette smell, though! Speaking of which, there's a bar/restaurant right at the hotel entrance, and you'll have to walk through cigarette smoke when there are smoking customers :( The front staff was friendly and helpful. Very surprised that they still use the traditional room keys which you have to check in at the front desk every time you go out!!

Trevligt hotell, men uppfyllde ej kraven.

Lågt betyg då en av kraven jag hade var att det skulle finnas tvättmöjlighet, vilket inte fanns trots att det skulle finnas. Likväl går det inte att använda deras telefon. Utsikt fanns inte alls då nästa byggnads vägg var ungf 2 m ifrån, på 7e våningen fortfarande, vilket blockerade även en hel del ljus. Det var rent och trevligt annars och har säker varit ett högklasshotell en gång i tiden.

駅からも近くて、繁華街までも近くて安いので、良いコスパだと思います。 洗面台の蛇口の水量が少なく、いくら捻っても出なかったのだけが残念です。シャワーは水圧しっかりありました。

혼자갔다왓는데 전자렌지없는거 빼곤 불편함없이 잘갓다가왔습니다.

在心齋橋站與道頓橋附近，交通及到觀光景點都非常方便。但房間較小及設施簡易。走路到道頓掘川觀光區僅5分鐘，很方便。

大変綺麗なお部屋でした。 アメニティもきちんと揃っていました。

心斎橋から歩いてすぐの場所で、ショッピングにも食事にも 何をするにも、便利です。 ホテルのエントランスも素敵で、落ち着きます。

GW中にもかかわらず、最安値で宿泊出来ました。部屋番号が少し気になったが、それ以外、満足する事が出来ました。

中心地のため観光しやすい。 バスルームなども清潔でよかった。スタッフの対応もよかった。 ホテルの設備などは可もなく不可もなくという感じでこだわりがなければよいと思う。
