3 night stay

Well situated good parking easy to find needs a bit of refreshing quite basic plenty of drinking sachets. Good bedding and nice towels.

Served my purpose perfectly. Reasonably priced.

A good place for a basic overnight stay. Very hot with no air con just individual fans. A mirror outside of the bathroom would be useful.

Easy to locate central position

Very clean, interior and furnishings looked all recently updated.

Overall, this property was good. Its definitely far-ish out of the middle of the city so you'll want to have options for driving. It was clean and staff was polite.

Immense gratitude to the staff / owners of this lovely motor lodge. Their kindness and compassion at an extremely stressful and heartbreaking time whilst having to visit my father in the hospital was very much appreciated. The room / facilities fulfilled all my needs and expectations. There is also a beautiful rose garden directly over the road from them, with seats to relax on and lawns to stretch out on whilst enjoying the fresh air in peaceful surroundings [despite not being far from the main road] I would not hesitate to stay there again, or recommend this to anyone needing to visit family / friends in the hospital. Thank you to all who made my stay so much easier, keep up the good work as I do appreciate how hard times are now for you all.

Awesome stay

Lovely place to stay with our extended family. Abit odd to open the main door into the bedroom but otherwise very spacious, comfy beds, clean utencils for cooking. They upgraded us for free to a bigger unit so both of our rooms be next together ! So very lovely ! Oh and the jest spa in the bath was veryyy good ! Overall lovely clean place. Totally recommended

Clean and well-appointed unit in a good location within walking-distance to the centre. Friendly staff.

We are a group of 3 living in a room which can sleep 5. Very spacious, airy and value for money. Only A$393 for 2 nights.

Very noisy due to other inconsiderate guests.

The property was close to city centre. At time of our stay many guests were there and a lot shouting arguing and swearing which waa not nice especially with family and little kids. The facilities were pretty basic

We regret that the facilities were not as good as we have experienced on past visits. In spite of the request for guests to clean after use (with a surcharge if not cleaned) the glassware was very dirty, and the electric jug did not work (it was replaced on our second day). It would appear the motel had been used as accommodation during the covid lock down which may account for the lower standard. Motel "rules" include request to "not intimidate other guests", a first in our years of travelling.

Excellent stay

Received an upgrade just because. The room was amazing.

House and Garden decor it is not, but for value it really very good. The property is well maintained, super clean (incl walls, carpets and furnishings) and great value. It does the basics fabulously- great location, privacy and security and has wifi and parking. Communication from the office was great; it was a very stress free good value stay. You won't drown in luxurious decor but what is there is not broken dingy or dirty, and my only personal irritation was the low watt bulbs.

Close to all amenities. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended to all.

I enjoyed the peace and quiet; the balcony; the proximity of the Rose garden and dairy. Also the service. Missed the closeness of somewhere to eat or take away.

Spa bathnin bathroom was great. Pillows werent comfortable. Place is tired in decor and could do with freshening up.

The lighting in the room was very dim. It was adequate overall.

This motel is ideal for a family of 4 or more who does not mind staying at a facility with outdated decor and furniture. It is very spacious and the location is great as it is close to local attractions and amenities. You will also need to bring your own toiletries e.g. shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. Also, bring a hairdryer if needed.

Nice and quiet & close to everywhere, comfortable & clean

Location was very good and quiet except for bar patrons next door shouting, swearing and yelling abuse to each other and waking us up. Have stayed here years ago and would do so again.

Handy location to conference nearby. Clean and tidy and roomy family unit. Some wardrobe space would be handy.

Beds and pillows are very uncomfortable. Pillows look unhygienic. No hair dryer. No wardrobe for hanging of clothes. Carpets and chairs are badly stained.

During the winter months, more bed blankets would have been appreciated, although electric heater was good. Somewhat limited with towels for the few nights stay. Other than that a most enjoyable stay, great spa bath, Sky TV and Wifi.

Big and very clean room with all its first class in-room facilities (kitchen, towel, bathroom, wifi etc.) Very nice location and its surrounding, very close to the city center.

Nice and spacious. Clean. Warm. Downside was the shower over the spa bath. It was hard to keep the water in!

Good small hotel. Clean and fresh. not a lot in the immediate area but is only a short easy drive into town.

Good price, clean and secure. I deal for business traveler who just need a bed for the night.

Good-sized, clean rooms: excellent bathroom; no wi-fi problems; situated in a quiet area close to Whakarewarewa. The staff were friendly & helpful. On arrival, we discovered they'd booked #104 for us. But, since my partner & sister-in-law are Chinese, we appreciated that there was no problem giving us a same-sized suite with a better number.

The display of fairy lights in the car park were amazing.

Disappointed

I paid for a unit with a spa bath but it was turned off so I was unable to use by 9.30pm.

A great property large spacious rooms and even two large flat screen tv's

Just stayed one night. Room was spacious and kitchenette was well furnished. Having a jetted tub in the room was a surprise but didn't get a chance to use it.

This was an excellent place for our overnight stay on our way back south from a holiday in Northland

Wouldn't stay here again

Phoned ahead and asked for a high chair in our room. For the price I was expecting it to be in the room on arrival. Instead had a filthy highchair handed over at the counter. All I could use to clean it was hot dishwater (dishwash was so watered down it may have just been water!) Short dark curlies in the bath. Daughters socks were black from walking around in there. Really disappointed. Was atleast expecting everything to be clean for the price we paid!! Definitely won't be staying here again!

Was very easy. Booked that afternoon, they txt asking what time we’d be in and arranged to leave the key somewhere for us. Arrived late and left very early. Was a great and easy to find place, especially for the price.

Happy with our stay at a very cheap rate. Very close to thermal area and a short drive to rhe city centre. Staff were very pleasant with a fast ceck in and departure.

Comfortable stay

Comfy bed, spacious spa in bathroom, really spacious room, convenient location. Only improvement I could recommend would be to have some bench space in the bathroom for a toiletries bag.

Nice place for the price

Hotel’s less than a five minute drive from downtown. A bit far to walk. We stayed in a ground level room. Room is very large, clean and well equipped. Rooms are a bit dated but great value for the price of them.

Ok but would not rate it as high as others have.

Room was ok just a little dark. Needs some upgrading and would benefit from air con.

The Motel was just right for a short, inexpensive trip.

Very nice hotel. Clean and spacious with well equipped kitchen. If you don’t have a car is a bit far away from the city center and the closest restaurant is a 10 minute walk, but it still a good deal for the money.

Fantastic service

Staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay and the animal fairy lights made me smile every time I saw them!

Terrible experience

Would highly recommend to stay well away. The person who was at the front desk was rude obnoxious and unhelpful. Worst place have ever been to and have quite a few trips away.

All the basics

Perfunctory check in (played 10 seconds, some might like that... Big room, upgrade with spa. Basic furnishings and furniture, bed settee /couch needed replacing. Stained carpets. Lots of hot water... all the stuff that I bumped into said hello with a nice smile.

Excellent accommodation and very helpful manager

The manager expressed concern about the security of our MTBs and found a safe solution. Very pleasing to have a quiet efficient fan in the room during the hot spell.

HOT

The location is great and the lighting outside, a bit dim inside. Walls are thin, next door did not shut up until I banged on the wall at midnight. No Air Conditioning so real hot in the rooms at present. and the bed is very hard.

Value for money

A nice clean motor lodge slightly dated a few upgrades wouldn't go amiss here....no air con.. . Shower head set up a bit dangerous bit fantastic pressure....could do with extraction fans in the kitchenettes current set ups require all Windows and doors to be open when cooking....bed could be more comfortable but is adequate. Great roomsize kitchenette adequately equipped
