Marios, his family and staff are the friendliest and most accommodating of hosts. The tasty and full breakfast was served in a beautiful setting ( that can also serve in the evening to have a quiet nightcap or cocktail prepared with attention, swapping stories with other guests). The rooms are beautifully designed, original, cool - even in hot weather, we didn’t even need to use the AC - well equipped with a hot tub and kept very clean by the friendly staff. We’re definitely coming back here next time we are in Naxos. I wish we could have stayed longer . Thank you Marios for your hospitality.

Marios and his team were so friendly and hospitable as soon as we arrived. The room was so unique, quiet, comfortable and relaxing. The beach was right across the street therefore making it incredibly easy to get too. The bus stop was a quick 10 minute walk and runs every half hour so getting places was incredibly easy. Many options of restaurants nearby and the main town is a short ways away so the options are endless.

Marios and company were absolutely fantastic to work with. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found that their recommendations for local food were perfect. Highly recommend!

Our suite was immaculate and Marios was so helpful, friendly and attentive during our stay: booking taxis, great food and exploration recommendations. One of the best hosts we’ve had! Be warned, the property is a little further down Plaka Beach than other properties, so hiring a car or quad might be your best bet. Otherwise it’s 15 minutes walk to the nearest restaurant or minimum 45 minute walk into town. And the taxis are expensive. But hopefully that won’t deter you from staying at this beautiful property. 10/10, would stay again!

It does what it says on the tin - it feels like an escape from the hustle and bustle of the rest of Naxos! Very quiet, clean rooms and Mario’s is an impeccable host! Highly recommended (having a car is a must).

We loved our stay, the property was incredibly clean, breakfast on the property every morning was delicious, Marios and his associate made sure everything was taken care of and all our needs were met. They were super kind and inviting. We cannot wait to go back and stay with them again.

Amazing stay and amazing host

Absolutely amazing stay! This is a lovely family run business with a cute resident cat. The room is clean, updated, and modern. Breakfast is included in the stay and is made to order, delicious and changes each day. The location is excellent - away from the hustle and bustle of the port. Also, steps away from Plaka beach and near cute restaurants and bars! The manager, Marios, goes above and beyond! He truly made our stay special with recommendations for things to do across the entire island. We cannot wait to go back!

The location and service at this hotel made for a wonderful, intimate experience. Our host, Marios, was so helpful and hospitable, he made sure all our needs were catered to and he gave us some excellent recommendations for things to do on the island.

Outstanding location, extremely hospitable front office staff, and an excellent owner-manager Mr. Marios. Cannot say enough positives about this place and its management. Charming and small place but superbly run away from the chaos of Naxos ton. Easy beach access and very calm and serene ranch-like surrounding.

Marios, Marcos and the staff at Island Escape were awesome, we had a great stay, it truly was a relaxing escape in a beautiful area of Naxos, and was a great jumping off spot to explore the rest of the island-definitely rent a car when staying on Naxos so you can enjoy what the island has to offer!

Owner and manager were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Location next to beach is great. Rooms are very comfortable and reasonably priced.

I hardly ever write reviews, but this is a special occasion for special establishment. Of the 5 properties we stayed at in Greece over 2 weeks, this was our favorite by far. Not even close! All of the reviews on here summarize what I could say, but if you are looking at this hotel, just book it. Marios and the team here and the most incredible and kind people and hosts. They take care of every need and ask, offer amazing recommendations, and are just a joy to talk to after a long day with drinks. We will be telling everyone that we know to come here, because this hotel deserves all the praise. We hope to come back one day ourselves. Thank you again Marios and Marcos and the team at Naxos Island Escape, you all are the best!

Naxos Island Escape

Great stay at Island Escape. Situated in Plaka a few steps away from the beach and a 16 mins drive from Naxos Port. We loved every minute of our stay. Breakfast was fresh and healthy and our host was so helpful and nice.

The location and management here set the gold standard for hospitality. Great location & food options. Marios went above and beyond our expectations with setting up transfers, rentals, food and island/ vacation advice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Our stay here was a highlight of our trip! The room was beautiful, the location was peaceful and quiet, and there were several excellent restaurants in walking distance. Marios was very helpful as well; and went above and beyond to make our stay special and memorable! Truly a spectacular place.

Late July 2022

The exceptional rating is frankly misleading. The hotel is at the very end of not very developed strip. There is an ok breakfast at the hotel, but no other food whatsoever! The closest supermarket or restaurant is ~1 km away on the dusty gravel road with no shade! In 35 C walking this is not pleasant. You must have a car to be able to do anything. The staff/manager are nice and trying to be helpful. He helped us renting a car. This was life altering. The rooms themselves are highly inconvenient. There is practically no storage for anything. Be careful not to get into the basement rooms. there is barely any day light there. The beach itself is really very nice and not very crowded. But is is not well equipped at all. Bottom line: underdeveloped everything. If you are into this sort of stuff - go for it. Otherwise, there are better options.

Marios was amazing. He simply went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were met. The breakfast was top notch and the facilities were new and very clean. The beach is only about a one minute walk. Very private and a short drive to the city centre.

Location. Layout was great. Lots of privacy. Close to beaches and short ride to the strip of all the restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great stay!

Really great experience here with Marios (hotel manager) and family. Newer facilities with every comfort you need. Beautiful rooms with hand crafted details! Marios really went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay here, and he is really knowledgeable about the island, etc so he gave good recommendations for a quad rental, walkable restaurants and must see spots on the island. 100% would stay here again.

Nice stay

In my most honest opinion, this has been by far the best place we have stayed at. I was beyond pleased with how clean and attentive the staff was. Marios made us feel at home. We will definitely visit Naxos again and stay here.

Completely unacceptable versus what we thought it would be due to a property that promised beds but only had cushions in the room. Overall, things just weren't as expected at all.

Our stay at the Naxos Island Escape was wonderful, not only because of the beauty of the property, but also the warmth of the staff. Mario did not hesitate to sit and talk with us, offer us homemade food and drinks, and discuss travel plans. Everything about this property is impeccable and it’s on Plaka, near many good restaurants.

Amazing Service

Things you need to know, the property is a 3 minute walk to a very very quiet part of the beach. As there is no food at the property apart from breakfast you will have to walk 10/15 minutes to the better restaurants(along a dusty sandy road). The standard “suites” are not really big enough for a family with 2 small children, it will be cramped so go for a bigger room. Now for the good, it’s is amazingly clean and the owner/ manager Marios is so nice and will do anything to make your stay perfect you can forgive the shortfalls. He takes the place to another level he made us feel so welcome and could not do enough for us. The breakfast is great quality and huge it is also a little different everyday. We had a great time thanks to Marios and Eletheria

Without a doubt, this is our favorite place we stayed during our time in Greece. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Mario ( owner/general manager). He is extremely friendly, and helped us with our luggages to our suite. Every morning, breakfast is well prepared and served on our balcony overlooking the beach ( you’ll have a choice if you want your breakfast serve at the rooftop). They use fresh ingredients daily with variety of selections. We stayed here for 5 nights. The villa is only a minute walk to the beach. Mario also helped us arrange for our rental car that was actually brought to our villa ( didn’t need to pick it up at the town) Note, this is not a hotel or so, but a very nice villa, the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to us. All respect for the general manager who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality! Date of stay: October 12-17 2019.

The best hotel on Naxos.

This hotel is absolutely amazing. The young guy who owns this hotel is very attentive and tells you everything you need to know about the island. He even goes the extra mile to write down amazing restaurants and tells you all the good spots to see. The place is in amazing condition and VERY clean. Breakfast is served daily and is delicious. Wish we could have stayed there longer.

The location is excellent in a quite corner of the main beach in Naxos away from the humdrum. If you want a relaxing holiday Naxos Island Escape is the one for you. Good connectivity by bus to Naxos town for shopping and night out.

Excellent service and beautiful property. The owner, Marios, must work 24 hours a day to made his guests happy. He helped us book a last minute car, launder our clothe, and gave us suggestions on places to visit and eat every. Wonderful breakfast customized to his guests. I have a few suggestions including placing instructions in the rooms on using window sensors and the AC. Also add a drying rack to the sunken rooms. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

We were welcomed immediately by the host Marios. Property had amazing views of the water And it was a beautiful area. The breakfasts were out of this world and the knowledgable staff were helpful in getting you to the right places when you explore the island

The hotel is in great condition, close to some great beaches and very secluded, which makes it perfect for a stay in Naxos. The town is just 10 minutes away and theres plenty to do around the island. Breakfast was great and so was our host!

Paradise

My boyfriend and I stayed in a total of 4 hotels in Greece and this was by far our favorite. Upon arrival you are immediately greeted by the amazing host who already knows who you are before even greeting you. He will then have you follow him as he carries your bags to your room and pours you some wine. All the while giving great recommendations of places to see and eat while staying on the island. The room itself was perfect, from the cozy bed, lounge area and rainfall shower there is literally nothing else you could ask for. The location was also perfect, just a few steps away from Plaka, the most beautiful beach on Naxos. Basically this resort alone was enough to have us looking to return to Greece next year.

Loved everything about this place. The breakfast was awesome. Rooms were beautiful. And Marios was the best host in the world. I will definitely be back. Best part of my Greece vacation was my stay here.

Naxos so far was the best part of the trip.Unspoiled! Mario, the owner of the hotel may be the sweetest man on the planet. His mother cooks the best breakfast! Perfect unspolied beaches makes Naxos a must see

The property is beautiful and very close to the beach. Marios was the perfect host — we took all of his recommendations and arrangements, and had a fabulous time! The complimentary breakfast was so delicious! Bring your appetite and enjoy it all.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the owner with welcome drinks. He was amazing to talk to and recommended all the restaurants and places to see.

Perfect location for relaxing stay on Plaka beach

Great relaxing peaceful stay. Fantastic fresh breakfast served on the veranda and 5 mins from a quiet spot on Plaka beach which we had almost to ourselves. Room was great size and just right for our needs. Rainfall shower too which was a bonus! Service and helpfulness from Mario was impeccable and made us feel at home straight away! Local bus service was 300m away to chora and the port and there are lots of restaurants and bars along the beach nearby. Great stay in a quiet part of the beach.

BEST PLACE TO STAY IN NAXOS

Don't look any further!! Naxos Island Escape is the best place to stay on the Island. It's name says it all. If you want to escape, find a peaceful getaway, close to the beach, with tasty food, great coffee, clean and comfortable rooms, with the kindest, most informative hosts>>>>choose to stay here. Stayed 4 nights and was our favorite spot! Couldn't ask for a better staff. Family run spot the breakfast was incredible!
