Stayed 2 nights in a standard room and 2 more in a junior suite, both with beautiful views over the pools, dunes and Praia da Gale. The location was just what we needed after 4 weeks of nonstop travelling and sightseeing. Good spot if you have a car to travel the Algarve.

Premium location by the beach with nice pool area.

The place is wide and common areas are great. Location, by the beach, is luxury. Room (Junior suite) was good but found the bathroom too small for a suite. The main room is also not big and has no TV in the room (only the living room has). Service is not 5 star - rooms are not perfectly arranged. Food and beverage service is a little bit slow.

Was remarkably impressed. The design of the hotel and its facilities meant it never felt busy or overcrowded even at the peak of summer. All staff were helpful and attentive. Breakfast was a really lovely selection. Would stay again. Obrigada!

When we checked in we discovered that the gym and hairdresser was shut due to refurbishingn no mention prior to this as we would have cancelled and booked elsewhere

We loved the location of this hotel. Very close to the beautiful beach. The beach was the highlight of our stay. The hotel was just ok. We didn’t have hot water twice including the morning we had to head to the airport. It was terrible since we had two small kids with us. Also, we only found out our fate included breakfast only during check out. While check in the staff could have informed us. The check in process was also just ordinary. While we will definitely recommend the location but not the hotel.

Resort was lovely with easy access to the beach within 3 minutes. Lots of different areas to sit around with many pools. Breakfast buffet was lovely. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite. Would recommend and we would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Salgados

Another lovely trip to beautiful Salgados and this time at NAU Salgados Dunas Suites. Spotlessly clean and in an absolutely beautiful location close to the beach this is a lovely hotel to stay at. Perhaps not top of the range 5 star but lovely nonetheless. Excellent, friendly service and very comfortable rooms. Would definitely stay there again.

Good stay

Staff very friendly , rooms large and spacious. Stayed previously in 2022 and the kitchenette was used by us , this year apparently the self catering option is no longer available so no plates , cutlery , pans etc. A shame to lose the option to make a quick lunch ,we were eating out every night anyway. The patio windows need to be triple glazed as the traffic noise is surprisingly loud and woke us up a few times every night

The property was great and the vicinity near the beach made our vacation so enjoyable. However, we rated it a 3 stars as when we checked in, we were given a pool side view suite (calling it a pool side view is generous, we were actually near the street parking). We paid for a sea view suite which was higher than the other suites, and the hotel manager did not mention why we did not get our sea view (the hotel was overbooked) until we complained about it. And when we move to a sea view suite the next morning, the manager told us that the switch actually costed the hotel additional cleaning expenses. What's wrong here?🤔 Should we not be compensated for the first night and the inconvenience instead? We didn't get an apology from the hotel and had we not complained about it, we would probably be left in a lower category suite for the rest of our stay. That's dishonesty on the hotel part.

Nothing to do with kids. I was hoping for better playgrounds, other facilities to cater for little guests.

Beautiful view of the ocean and great oceanfront boardwalk. 2 room suite. The living area included a counter, faucet and sink which was convenient. Furnishings were on the “basic” side. Several good restaurants within easy walking distance.

The suite we stayed in was comfortable. The interior was modern and stylish, and the view of the surrounding area was truly breathtaking. The breakfast spread offered a good variety of options. The staff would also make omelettes every morning. While the location is beautiful, it's somewhat secluded, and local attractions and amenities are not within walking distance. However, if you have a car, this won't be an issue. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find that the spa was undergoing maintenance during our stay, which meant we couldn't indulge in the relaxation and pampering we had hoped for. The communal stairs were not very well-lit and not kept as tidy as the rest of the hotel. The staff are amazing and made my partner's birthday special. We had a bottle of champagne delivered to the room. The beach was a short walk and was amazing!

Beautiful resort with many amenities, we stayed in a well appointed room with sea view. Many pools and easy pathway to the beach. October was a good choice as it was not crowded

Really nice hotel one of best I been.

This property is beautiful. The staff is so very kind and accommodating. The beach is a short board walk and wasn’t crowded. The entire stay was wonderful.

The room is clean, but the common area are dirty and un maintain, stairway is full of spider web and no lights on the landing. Is very expensive for the quality and location.

By no means it is a 5* hotel, everything was very average apart from the natural surroundings. The coffee machine in the room was just a decoration since there was no coffee or tea provided (coffee pods had to be purchased from the reception, tea was supposed to be free but again had to ask reception to give me a tea bag each time I wanted to have a cup of tea). There is a grocery shops not far so easier to buy it from them. It was mentioned that there is spa/sauna at the hotel but again at an extra charge of 5 euro. Bathrobes provided were torn and so old that felt like polishing paper. The room needs some update, I could hear every conversation in the next room, the bathroom was so outdated. Restaurants are very average for what they charge. In general I left with a feeling that it was a big rip off for 1700 euros I paid to stay there for a week. Will not return for sure.

Great place

Expedia misled us with their photos of our suite. We arrived armed with raw foods for preparation in our expansive kitchen and to enjoy at our massive dining table. The suite only had a microwave . The hob was unplugged and out of service and there were no utensils nor saucepans and the integrated dishwasher was sealed up. The walls were not soundproof as advertised. The bathroom fan on a pulley switch did not work. There was a previous guests used polythene bag in the kitchen drawer alongside some plastic used forks! I’ve held off posting this because I asked Expedia to rectify my complaint but their specified 72 hour SLA has long since passed.

Lovely, quiet, basic hotel!

Not a luxury 5 star hotel by any means. Quite a basic, but lovely 4 star at best! Lovely location, quiet, access to a private beach, lovely pool areas, but no service outside of hotel. Little hut where you can buy water, but at 3 euros a pop for a small plastic bottle, very expensive!! Easy Ubers in and out of Albufeira.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in April 2023. We are a group of 5 and stayed in the 3bed suite block . The rooms were spacious and clean and in excellent conditions.. Staff were welcoming and freindly. The pool and beach was lovely. A mini supermarket is near by. Easy access to the hop on hop of bus. The area feels safe. The only minor thing is it would me nice to have a cork scew /bottle opener in the apartment. Overall a lovely say and i will be back again.

Loveley clean pools. The hotel was walking distance to the beach. Friendly hotel staff. Clean and spacious rooms for 2 adults and 2 kids. Wished there was more Varitey for lunch which would have been only suggestion. Overall highly reccomend.

beautiful hotel wonderful facilities, really relaxing pools and a first class beach. the 3 bed apartment we had was just epic. would have been nice to have some cuttlery though which was just a bit weird.

I liked the hotel itself, in particular the large rooms. Although we didn’t need pool facilities due to cooler weather (late October) they really lacked them. There are no bars beside the pool so you have to travel back to main reception. We got a bottle of water on our arrival, I would have appreciated this everyday. We had a car and the parking facilities are great. We didn’t pay for a pool view room but I would recommend it-otherwise you are facing a road. Wish we had opted for this as it would have been nicer on the cooler days. In Late October weather was cloudy, overcast but warm. Guess that’s the gamble.....

did not like that the parking is surrounded by little post of about 18 inches high. Scratched the car on one of them. Did notice that many other posts had been dislodged or hit. Need to be replace by flexible posts

Gorgeous resort right on the beach. Loved the 7 pools and vast beach with chairs and beach/pool bars. Delicious restaurant across the street and the hotel staff were extremely helpful.

Children’s facilities are better than most 5 star hotels we have stayed at, the kids club facilities, activities, and staff are amazing - first time we hesitantly left our 4 year old with them and he could try get enough! The hotel is clean, the restaurants are very good, staff are extremely friendly and helpful, you will not be disappointed.

The hotel should say it is very family focused with many children and activities that might not be as relaxing for everyone. Our room was fine but the shower has a bad leak so it was a swamp anytime we used it. The hallway outside the room echoes terribly so when other guests get up early or late you hear everything. The pools are nice and the grounds are lovely. Location is the top.

Amazing resort very pleasing on the eye, very well maintained grounds & the pools are fab, direct access to the beach from the resort is a massive plus. Service at times can be a little on the slow side in bars but the staff are very friendly & polite.

Great to have direct access to the gorgeous beach and discount at the private section offering beach umbrella's and loungers, get down there early and take a picnic (the food choice at the little bar there is not great but fine for drinks etc.). The hotel pool area was vast, nice that at one end it was noisier with activities for kids and at the other really quiet so something for everyone. The food in the Jazz Bar was very good, just a shame the pool side bar menu wasn't as big (just a couple of sandwich choices and overpriced crisps). Same with the rooftop bar, lovely space and great for sunset, if you had a Portuguese menu/tapas bar up there we would have stayed all night. Cocktails were great. Live music each night in the Jazz bar was also a really nice touch, a really grown up space with actual proper jazz music, great to relax over a coffee or a port or two. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice. Wish you did poached eggs and had a better brand of tea (you have fancy Nespresso machines, but only liptons tea) but that's really all we could complain of! Everything was very tasty and fresh. Rooms were clean and worth having the ocean view to overlook the coast. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, gave us great restaurant recommendations (Evaristo in particular). Overall a really nice relaxing holiday, exactly what we were looking for.

Peaceful, serene and beautiful place

We loved the setting and everything was kept very clean. Breakfast was brilliant and staff were always very polite. Could have been a little more to do but very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Our stay here from start to finish was outstanding. We could not have asked for a better location and resort. We will be back.

The kids club staff as well as every member was great with our kids. The waitstaff was playing jokes on them and just making it fun. I will find a way to get back there some day and spend more time. It was superb!

The best place evhave ever stayed Beautiful, stylish, stunning 50metre pool, in fact so many pools. Amazing Spa, fab buffet breakfast Next to beach. Comfortable rooms, blackout curtains . We will be back !

I have seen a few reviews with people complaining about this not being a 5star hotel. It is to me. It’s got a fantastic scenery, direct access to the beach, huge suites with sea view, a comfy bed, great continental breakfast, very quiet at night. It checks all the main boxes to me. It is worth though mentioning that the bathroom is rather towards the minimalist style (again, not the end of the world) and the wine menu at their restaurant does deserve some higher end reds from Portugal. Other than that, I had a great time and would for sure come back

Great mattress and bedding bathroom was not nice. The fridge did not work. They said it never works. Charged 1euro each time you want to charge something like a drink to your room. Large bottle of water was 4 euro. Thought it was outrageous. Tv was good

Near to the beach and convenient to the foods and supermarkets. This is not 5 stars hotel, not able to check in to the hotel as stated for 4pm. I am able to check in to the hotel after 4.30pm after few arguement with the hotel staff and manager level only could check in to the hotel at 4.30pm. The manager told me the policy check in time is after 4pm but no guarantee will be able to check in. If the cleaner is not able to clean the room then you will not able to check and no specific time,ie. Say 10pm or 11pm to check in and depend on the completion time. How can you said this to your customer? The reason is hotel was fully booked but I have check the ebooker website and still able to booked this hotel and much cheaper at last minute. What do you mean fully booked? Not recommend any family to stay in this hotel. The toilet are full of ants running around. The service like motel not hotel.

The hotel was excellent. The location was great, only 11 euros to Albufeira. The staff couldn't do enough for you and the service was second to none. Would definitely return. Only down side was they had work on going around the pools, but didn't really effect us that much.

The hotel facilities including the pools and the tennis court were excellent. The hotel room was very clean. We did not have a car but was able to get around the area with uber. Really enjoyed the walkway to the beach as well. It was a bit too dim in our living room and there were no hair conditioner and razor, but these are just minor issues we had. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Don't be mislead by the 5 star rating it is max a 4 star hotel! The rooms are spacious and breakfast very good. Pools are large but all very shallow - not much fun for teenagers.

Great stay with family

Good service - staff always very helpful and courteous. Very spacious suites and in good condition. Hotel decor very nice and well maintained. Close to the beach - about 5 mins walk through private pathways. Lots of outdoor swimming pools to choose from. Really enjoyed our stay with family. WiFi in rooms is a bit flaky - but we managed to get most of our browsing and photo sharing done without too much of an issue.

Nice hotel

Was good but could offer more for a 5*. I would come back it's in a great location. The staff was nice. The food was amazing. The massage at the spa was nice. The room was big but seemed a little empty need more activities for non golfers. Too many cards for different things. Overall we did enjoy our stay.

Nice hotel close to the beach, kids club is great. Good food, relaxing holiday. Pools are great. We could not look the door to the room from inside. This meant that the children could open the door and leave the room. With a 2 year old this is not ideal, he got up one night and went to go outside, luckily we prevented him. When we spoke to reception we were informed that it was policy to be unable to lock doors from inside. They did ask Facilities to look at it, whilst they changed the lock, it was the exact same situation. At minimum there could have been a chain on the door from the inside. We had to end up barricading the doors from the inside every night.

Luxurious contemporary hotel in quiet Salgados

Just back from 8 nights 2 adults and 2 kids aged 8 and 6. Hotel feels luxury and deserves 5 stars for the following reasons: front desk team exceptional welcome and friendliness throughout our stay including valet parking team and towels team. Everyone was truly 5 star! The hotel and grounds are contemporary and beautiful all 9 pools have been completely rebuilt from scratch this year so now there are 8 pools as there’s now one larger main pool with a nice shallow long ramp into it for easy access for young kids. The reception,bar area, grounds even toilets are all luxurious with quick glass lifts in the main block (1). There are about 5 blocks all beside each other. Swipe access to beautiful boardwalk to the beach. It’s a quiet area great for families pools and sunbeds never crowded. So overall excellent and close to 5 star certainly staff and hotel itself is 5 star. Breakfast buffet is very good never too crowded plenty of options. Only downside to this hotel is the dinner buffet it’s very expensive (very!) and the food is average for the price ... so you may want to eat out. There are limited options as it’s a secluded area but if you have a car no issue (we had one) and drove 5 mins to Guia or 10 mins to Albufeira beautiful old town lots of choice. There is also a ten star (no joke) Italian restaurant called bellavita near the hotel it’s amazing but not many other options in my opinion. Also the rooms were cleaned to perfection and are huge!! Overall excellent

Nice hotel but not exceptional.

Hotel has lovely pools, however the rooms are pretty basic. We had a junior suite and although roomy, the decor was uninspiring and the bathroom dark without windows. The breakfast was pretty good, however lunch and dinner were pretty bland so we ate elsewhere. Staff were polite but not overly accommodating.

Nice hotel, nice staff, but the food is average if not below average. I mean, watered down baked beans?? That's not acceptable in my opinion when you're posing as a 5* hotel. My other gripe is the 2 single beds pushed up against each other. I know this is a very European thing, but you don't have it everywhere and it's just annoying when the beds separate. Overall, the place is nice, but is not near anything in regards to restuarants. Taxi to the strip is roughly 15€ each way... so 30€ on top of a meal, the location means it's only good to stay here if you are all inclusive, but I personally would have hated that with the standard of food. Dinner is presented well, but tastes of nothing. Every single thing tastes the same. I would return if it were only for 1 night!

Great hotel with a nice ambience, quiet and peaceful and lovely outdoor setting with 6 huge pools. Close to the beach and a lovely vista if you have a sea view. Unfortunately the food in the restaurant was incredibly limited, dominated most nights by seafood despite it supposed to being a different them each night. The food they did have was not wonderful, moreover the hotel is very isolated so there were not many other options around! The rooms were comfy with a lovely soft bed and pillow but the lighting at night was like being in a cave with two small downlights and nothing else! You couldn’t read or anything! Annoyingly there was no kettle in the room and only 2 plug sockets meaning that you had to unplug the hotel phone should you wish to charge anything! Ok hotel, but seriously lacks the quality of a 5 star! We have stayed at many 4 star in the region that have outclassed this one!

Lovely, but very VERY, quiet.

The hotel was amazing- just in the middle of no where - there was very little around including restaurants. The restaurants in the hotel itself were quite expensive, and not much variety. Breakfast was great however, snack bar was lovely. The hotel had no entertainment at all at night, it was dead. So if you want some night life you need to get a taxi into Albufeira itself. But this is quite far from hotel.
