I enjoyed the location of this hotel, very walkable to downtown but just far enough to be quiet from the downtown parties. The only slight downfall for the hotel is kids noise level in the morning at the pool. Our room was very close to the pool and it sounded like they were in our room.

We did not stay at your hotel as it was a disaster. The entire city was underwater. I have pictures and I have asked Expedia to get our money back. Please refund our money as we did not stay at your hotel. The city was an unwalkable and totally underwater and your hotel was not ready for gas. The pool was not open. Chairs were Stacked up. Again we did not stay at your hotel and we are asking for a refund. I will be posting the pictures on Expedia if we do not get a refund.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel. They had a very kind attention when we arrived as it was my wife birthday: they put a big ribbon on the entry door of the room. Air conditioner went out multiple nights. Made sleeping very challenging. Hotel is supposed to refund us one night.

Beautiful property right on the white sand beach., staff very nice friendly and helpful .. I just would suggest to get some fans in the restaurant to circulate the air and get rid of the flies., but other wise it was a very pleasant stay definitely will book again .

Our stay was great. Rooms were very nice, beach was beautiful with amazing sunsets. Quiet and outside of town but close enough for a ten minute walk. Definitely recommend.

This hotel is absolutely AMAZING!! We were sad to go. The service, amenities, beach, etc exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to return. I highly recommend this hotel for families and couples. The beach service and location are perfect!! We walked the beach to the most incredible part of beach - stunning! And the other direction is just steps to downtown and shops, etc. this hotel was perfect!!

General manager was not comprehensive of my concern was the issue of my drinks was not to my liking he proceeded to belittle my experience. Moving forward felt like he had it out for me and my friends.

We took a 5 day vacation to isla Holbox and stayed here. It was beautiful. The staff was very very nice and helpful with all of our requests if we had any. They gave us advice on where to eat, things to do and how to get there. The hotel itself was super clean and well kept. Our private pool was awesome. The only negative thing I would say is that we didn’t have hot water. It was warm/cold. But we had to take into account for being on an island and all the other people trying to shower and use hot water as well. Overall we will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit.

Great staff, installation and location. The beach club is nice, far enough from the party clubs but close enough to go if you need it. Beach restaurant could be better in terms of food and cocktails.

Our stay was overall excellent. We arrived very late, were greeted by name, quickly directed to the restaurant as we had not eaten anything & when we returned to finish checking in our bags were already taken to the room. The property is beautiful, staff is amazing, beach is incredible- just perfect. Convenient location to walk to town (5-10 min walk down the beach) or to Punta Coco the other way. Room was comfortable with great amenities. We had the Loft ocean view room and loved it- Special thanks to Leonardo & Miguel at the front desk, Gambino! Looking out for guests and his co-workers! Monserrat, Itzel, Fernando & Hector at the restaurant Uleses & Julian overseeing everything - Two negatives with misleading advertising descriptions: The "$150 resort credit" is a coupon book for things at the hotel like Spa services, bottles of wine, breakfast or dinner at $5 per. We expected $150 but were only able to received $25 value. The "Jr Suite Ocean Front Swim out" rooms: There is a dirt road that runs right in front between the these rooms (the main hotel) & the restaurant heading to the beach making the use of the little pool look unpleasant- LOTS of golf carts, motorcycles 4 wheelers etc (noise & Dust) The ocean is quite a ways away, so while you CAN see it, it's not the best view & it's NOT Ocean front. You'll get a better view from the higher rooms and going to the main pool! I would have been VERY upset if I booked this room (I considered it)

Great stay for families and couples!

Our stay was amazing. I went with my wife and 10 year old daughter. The hotel was perfect for our family. The staff were great and the hotel had everything we needed. The beach is one of the best, and you can see the sunset right on the beach. I look forward to our next time at Mystique.

The Hotel and staff were great. Locate right by the beach and within easy walking distance of the town. Second time staying here and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

The ocean front was a plus. The view was beautiful. The view at night even more beautiful. We did have many issues with our room and staff. We had a problem getting into our room, our keys constantly failed and staff was not too concerned with that issue one young man even laughed at us. The supposed manager was useless come to find out she wasn’t the manager. Staff sat around on their phones. The day the real manager was onsite there was a complete change in staffs attitude. They were all working and extremely courteous and accommodating. We had to call several times for the AC to run. They cleaned but didn’t leave toilet paper or sufficient coffee and coffee supplies. The room was decent but could have been cleaner. I would not stay here again for the amount of money we paid.

So we loved the hotel and the staff. One curious thing that irked me was that for a two person room they only put 1 regular coffee pod and 1 decaf coffee pod. Like what if two people wanted regular coffee?

Enrique the manager was amazing!! He went out of his way to welcome us. Helped set up everything so my room could be decorated for my birthday. It was a beautiful stay. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of in every single. It’s because of managers like him that make our stay so special and the reason we keep coming back. Also Gabino at the beach was extremely attentive, professional and helpful. Always with a smile and ready accommodate anything that we needed. The service at this hotel is as good as any Ritz, Le Blanc or Four Seasons. Maybe even better!! Thank you so much Enrique and Gabino for making our stay so fun and magical! ♥️✨💫

A nice place on Holbox

Be aware that some of the loft rooms claim to have a sea view, but most of them do not, as the hotel is built facing sideways and not toward the sea. The loft area doesn’t have much of a view at all, so ours went unused. Sadly there was a storm a few days before we arrived, so many of the beaches were pasted with algae, making the water quite murky. We walked about 25 minutes to the other end of the island to get cleaner beaches and water. But the service was quite nice as was the food.

The staff, as we find with all resorts in Mexico, make the experience. In this case, the staff are struggling keeping pace with maintenance issues. Please, please, please, give the lovely spa attendant a better facility.

The gentlemen at the front desk were always so kind, friendly and helpful! The restaurant food was delicious! I wish I could drink those mango margaritas all day! I appreciate that they always let me use their bug spray! I loved my stay here!

The property has an excellent Therapist and easy access thru the Beach to many restaurants!

The room was nice and the team very friendly. We did not like the area ; very noisy by night, the window was not effective to block the noise, small pool, music too loud by night.

Overall whit staff very friendly and attentive Need more maintenance even though is a 5 stars hotel

Improvements urgently needed

Holbox is great. The hotel, however, was a big disappointment. The general service is very poor - rooms are cleaned in the late afternoon, check out was terrible, there is no help to get taxis, directions etc. Each time we asked for something, eg new towels, clean up of our room etc., the staff would say “yes” but nothing would be done. The food at the hotel is very poor although the service in the restaurant is ok. Not a place where you want to have any meals. Only good thing about this hotel is the beautiful beach front and the overall location in Holbox. And the service at the beach area is also terrific.

We stayed in room number 102 which had a small pool for kids attached to room. It is really small tho but kids enjoyed it.

Nice property with a great location! The staff was very attentive and helpful. Close to downtown (walking distance), good food, and great beach club. Beach if very private with few vendors. We had one issue upon arrival. Our room wasn't ready until almost one hour after check in even thought we could see that it was clean and empty. They need better communication between staff. I do not suggest the swim out rooms. The ocean view is blocked by the restaurant. I wish they would have designed it better. Overall, a great place to stay on Holbox. I would recommend.

Lucked out completely with this Mexican Isla Holbox gem. Travelled with a good friend from Toronto. We chose based on current reviews but had no idea of the area so were pleasantly surprised that it was walking distance but far enough from "town" that there was no noise even on Saturday night (party night as it were, where there are DJs and live music, street parties outside restaurants/clubs). Room assigned was a 2 queen with a balcany as well as upper terrace. Generous amenities plus room has a coffee maker. Kept very nicely. Of particular note are the following: USD to peso exchange at the hotel for local vendors/shops; ask the housekeeping staff or front desk for more Crystal water bottles for your room or to consume (no charge, whereas the Fiji water at the bar/resto is $); book the gym a day in advance; get beach towels and put on chaises at the beach EARLY in the morning to save your place for the day. Staff to be acknowledged - Cesar and Daris at the front desk, Arturo, Jorge and Gabino at the beach resto. Jorge was just the BEST. I'd say 9/10 on most things. Hot water in the shower/sinks just didn't happen...not complaining as cool/warm showers felt refreshing after being in the heat all day. Speaking of beach - you can walk for many kilometers both ways (some through shallow water) from Mystique. We loved our visit and would not hesitate to go back there or recommend to fellow travellers!

The location is ideal, on a beautiful stretch of beach and 10 minute walk to town centre. If you are a pool person, the pool is small and mostly for just a cool dip, there are plenty beach chairs with umbrella coverage, to spend the day on the beach. We had a loft room, the roof top is a great place to stargaze. The rooms are comfortable, I found the pillows way too soft. All hotel staff are great, the restaurant is just ok, we preferred to breakfast at some of the many wonderful local places in town.

We like the location being more quite with their own private beach front. It’s still a very close walk ( about a few minutes) to the center and a lot of good restaurants. Their beach front and restaurant are the perfect location for watching the sunset. We had an unpleasant incident that management took care of right away and made things better beyond our expectation. The front desk, staff and management are always there available and are very good at taking care of all your needs. A plus that covid tests are arranged in your room with results back in a few hours. The food is very good. The romantic dinner in a tipi on the beach is a must for couples and special occasions.

Great hotel with friendly staff

Really enjoyed my stay here. We found staff (Hector, Angela, Miguel) to be very friendly & professional. The rooms are very comfortable, although walls are thin & wifi is patchy. I think the breakfast & lunch menu could be improved as it got quite repetitive. Wine prices are expensive (start at €60 for a supermarket €12 bottle of wine). The reception layout could be improved, it is quite difficult to have a private conversation with reception staff

We truly loved the location as it's right on the beach. Everything is within walking distance. Front desk is very helpful when it comes to requesting a taxi into the main town center/ ferry. Covid testing on site, which the Dr. will go to your hotel room. They stated the results would come in at around two hours, which it didn't come through until I kept having to call non stop through WhatsApp for them to send over my results right before checking into my fight. That part was a bit stressful. Overall the property was beautiful, clean, our room had two balcony options which was perfect! Bring your own hair dryer, if you want to dry your hair. The property did not have one, like most hotels would.

No breakfast included for a hotel that costs $450 a night.

Too much disruption in beach area preparing for very expensive New Year’s Eve dinner ($165 US) which was only attended by maybe 30 people (with set up for maybe 120) … beach chairs were moved to adjacent lot (rocky) on Wednesday Dec 30 so tables for New Year’s Eve were being set up in prestige beach area … major disruption and inconvenience for guests … tables were still there all day Jan 1 … Beautiful hotel, great service, great drinks, great food …

Beautiful and magical property for the family

We had an amazing time at Mystique with our family of four. The property is just magical from the swing to enter the beach to the beautiful pool and the clean modern rooms. Everyone at the front desk was super helpful and attentive, and they treated us and our kids really well throughout our stay. We're looking forward to coming back again soon!

the check in was for a different room with smaller beds. I was offered free breakfast which i had ordered via room service. I was told i got the breakfast on the wrong day and it was in fact 20$USD for the most sub par meal ive had in months. I would not recommend this hotel and i would not rate this hotel, their staff, or their food anywhere above 1 star.

It was on the quiet area of the island. Restaurant on property but also other restaurants close by. Beach chair service for food and drinks. Gorgeous white sand. Room was beautiful and great views

This property was beautiful and we were very happy we stayed here. Next time, we will definitely stay here again. We did not receive any of the VIP benefits offered from Expedia however.

He have stayed at 4 other Royalton hotels and have been treated with excellent service. This was not the case here. Our last 3 days were very unpleasant. From waiting on an order at the beach for over an hour and being told that nothing was ordered, to being completely ignored the next day, and then dealing with gurgling pipes at 12:30am. The swim up pool is a total waste of money, as it is the size of a bathtub and sits on the street where all the cars and people are passing by. Everyone said that this hotel was the nicest on the island, and although it may be well presented, the experience was sub par.

Really enjoyed our stay here, felt like you got to know the staff a bit as the hotel is smaller. Due to it being out of high season there weren’t that other guests. Only hiccup was that we got a different room than booked for the first day which fortunately was corrected from the second day. We enjoyed a really relaxing stay here for the duration of our trip.

Peaceful & relaxing.

Lovely little botique hotel on the beach in Holbox. We booked an Ocean front room but we had a huge plam tree restricting our view from inside the room. Only when you came onto the balcony could you see the Ocean. Otherwise the room was clean & well maintained. You had to book the gym in advance, its small but functional. The aircon doesn't work efficiently so its really tough trying to workout in the heat for a full hour. Staff were really friendly although service was quite slow at times. We waited 40 mins for a coffee one morning & there was hardly any customers around! Food was nice by the beach & of course the beautiful view.

Friendly staff. Clean and beautifully kept grounds. The downside was the mini bar was emptied out during our stay and never replenished. It took a really long time for staff to follow up on any issues, sometimes they would forget. Finally, we bought a package for massage and drinks and never got our drinks.

Property lacks cleanliness. Mold in showers in vents. Lost electricity one day no back up generator. Then lost water another day.

Its my second time to stay on this Hotel first time was 5 stars experience and last time was awful, never stay on the room 212 facing garbage dumps, this hotel needs to clarify on each room its view, and thay call mangroove/street view the one unworthy of even 3 stars, yet they charge over 200USD for those lame units viewing the street.

Everything from beginning to end was great, Check in was fast and friendly front desk staff helped with a few questions we had about town. Rooms clean and very nice, service throughout facilities was always prompt and friendly. Location is not at center of town but we actually enjoyed that a little more private, but you can walk anywhere in the island anyway. Will definitely return loved our stay

The property has nothing to do with the pictures. Location is awful, feels very unsafe and far from everything. The staff doesn’t help at all, maybe it’s a matter of enablement. They don’t know how to host people. And, worst of all, the facilities are cheap and in very bad conditions, it’s a nightmare.

The hotel is not worth the price, we didn’t receive the vip benefits, they didn’t have towels or beach chairs available the day we arrived. The outdoor restaurant was being renovated so the only option to eat was in the indoor business center. The service was great, the rooms are clean but right next to an abandoned piece of land full of horses so it smells horrible.

Comfortable and accessible to beach and town

It was comfortable, clean, quiet and really close to beach. “Fresh” restaurant it was fine but pricey you can find better places to eat a few blocks from the hotel.

My husband and I decided to stay for our honeymoon at Mystique. And we really enjoyed our staying. Alberto the water was very friendly and his service is great. The island is jut a hit expensive

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. This hotel is situated on the most picturesque beach I have ever seen. The food was good and the hotel was in great proximity to many wonderful beachfront bars and restaurants. The Expedia description lists this hotel as all-inclusive. This does not mean that the food or drinks are free. They simply offer $5 off coupons for 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners. For 2, these ran us around $20 American dollars for breakfast including the coupon and $30 for dinner including the coupon on average. There are a few supermarkets close by, and were were able to save some money by getting some food there.

Modern and great room layout on the quieter side of the island. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful with anything needed. Definitely will come back.

The hotel staff is wonderful and go out of their way to help in anyway possible. Our main inconvenience was the internet. My husband and i work remotely and spent 10 days at the hotel with no internet which made our stay very frustrating at times. Had we known from day one there was wifi but no internet we would have changed hotels but we were constantly told they were working on it. Otherwise great location beautiful beach and very peaceful location

The property was in a great location. There was a restaurant and bar right on the beach. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only negative was the WiFi was not good at all. It seldom worked the 4 days we were there. But everything else was great.

The staff at the hotel is very professional and helpful for anyone who is staying there. The location is bit in the center but it’s 8-10 minute walk away. Our room was cleaned twice and our plunge pool was cleaned daily. The hotel is right on the beach. The beachfront at the hotel is nice and clean with minimal seaweed. The water was nice and perfect. The food not just at the hotel but the entire island was less than mediocre. One of the nights for dinner we had pizza delivered to our room from the local restaurant. The pizza had a small chard of glass I bit into and we both got sick from the pizza itself. The sickness lasted well into the next night. I think the problem with the food on the entire island is to be eaten with caution but that’s for another review. Overall due to the effort of the staff and the cleanliness we would give this hotel 4/5 stars. Also pro tip- buy some alcohol at the airport because drinks on the entire island are just sugar water. You can top up from your own alcohol and at least make them a bit better.

Awesome place to stay! A/C was cold all day long! WiFi is a bit slow but didn’t care for it, since I was on a honeymoon. Has a small but nice infinity pool, hotel has a beach. Great employees will answer any questions. 5-10 minute walk along the beach to the center of island

Mystique Blue was comfortable and in a great location. We paid a reasonable price for our ocean view suite. Checking in was a bit slow, however the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious with a huge deck viewing the ocean. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable, however could use some new pillows. The bathroom was big and a nice shower, except getting the temperature just right was a bit tricky. One other down side was whoever is staying in the above room, you can hear every foot step and dragging chairs etc. it’s not very pleasant at 2 a.m. We ate at the on site restaurant the first night and the food was absolutely delicious. Just slow service bc it seems there is only one server running around accommodating everyone. He was great and super friendly however for one person it’s a lot of work. From the time we sat down until we got our dinner was about an hour and a half, but like I said it was delicious and the margaritas were fantastic. We would most likely stay there again and we do recommend this hotel.

Very unique, cute hotel. The restaurant on site has very good food. The beach is beautiful with lots of seating area which staff keeps very tidy and clean. The front desk staff was very polite and accommodating to help with everything from taxis to excursions. House keeping would occasionally forget a few things like washcloths or coffee but definitely kept our room clean which is much more important to me. We would definitely return in the future.

Clean and updated property, you can see the beach from every room and it is within walking distance from rooms. Service was excellent, they cleaned the rooms at least once a day, room service was all we ate for dinner the entire trip. The restaurant is right on the beach. Everyone on staff was very polite, helpful and attentive, the front desk even remembered that it was my birthday.
