Excellent little property, easily walkable straight off Main Street of Ubud (up a steep ramp) with shops, sights and restaurants. Hotel has very friendly staff and little restaurant with yummy food especially the Nasi Goreng 😋 Friend used the spa for the 6hr experience and was recommended it as said it blissful and heavenly!! Might come back to try it!!
Murni’s was fantastic. Great location, in the centre of ubud, the monkey forest is an easy 20 minutes away which we did in 4 hours as there were so many markets and shops to see! The staff were lovely and the pool was a hit with our kids, the the absolute best bit was the food! Such delicious and beautiful meals. The spa is onsite and was great too- they have a range of tours they can book you into- which was much appreciated. When the international plug didn’t fit our Australian electronics- the staff found an adaptor for the outlet so we could recharge our phones- the staff were wonderful. I cannot rave enough! It was a brilliant vacation.
Bali at its Best!
I am a repeat visitor to Murni's place. Feels like home when I am in Ubud. Lovely place, wonderful staff, and Murni is Bali at its essence. Recommend it heartily to anyone wanting to step lightly into Balinese culture.
I loved the pool to relax in after a day of walking around Ubud
Our stay was relaxing, welcoming and authentic. We loved Murnis Houses because we felt at home instantly. It's away from the road so feels calm, the room was beautifully furnished. The on site spa was also easy to use and very high quality for the price.
Great Value For Money
We loved the second bedroom and the Balinese surroundings. They arranged our driver at fantastic rates and my family loved the pool. Our bungalow was well protected from mosquitoes. The bathroom and shower could’ve been improved, possibly with an outdoor shower area. We were not enamoured with the food but the minibar had a great selection and we were a stones throw away from Ubud centre. Overall Murni’s was great value for money and comfortable. The kitchen was also equipped with good tea and coffee facilities.
Wonderful
Great central location, spotless comfy rooms, very nice staff (- pretty much standard for Bali!). Pool is almost indoors and shaded but staff happily moved a lounge chair into the garden if I wanted to snag some rays. Great food, shopping and art all just a stroll away.
Great hotel.Really nice
Great hotel and very well located. The service is great and the hotel is really nice. Very peaceful place. My only comment would be the service for breakfast is a bit slow. This is because all food is cooked at that moment.
We stayed at the Bungalow and had the time of our lives! Our rooms are housed in its own building in the middle of lush gardens. It was really quiet, and yet the location is central enougn such that we managed to walk to a lot of Ubud’s main attractions (Museum Puri Lukisan, the Market, and the Monkey Forest). Though there was no phone in the room, her staff members are so incredibly helpful and friendly that I didn’t mind walking to the front desk to talk to them in person. Above all, we interacted with Murni herself almost every day. She remembers all of her guest’s names, and greeted us each time. To say that this is a “home away from home” is to put it mildly!
Fantastic, attentive.and very warm staff who were so welcoming and genuinely kind to our family. Very much appreciated 😊
Absolutely phenomenal. We stayed in the brand new portion of the grounds and it was stunning. Every corner of the facility is decorated with beautiful antiques and handcarved wood and stone. The new pool is shallow, but great for doing laps and refreshing after a day of exploring. The Rambutan room had vaulted ceilings, AC and ceiling fans, a beautiful closet for storing clothes, a safe, a refrigerator, a beautiful clean bathroom, a beautiful view of the grounds. Ibu Murni and Jonathan were excellent hosts, inviting us to share tea and stories, and their staff are incredibly detail oriented. They helped us set up adventures to explore, set us up in their award winning Tamarind Spa, and we had food delivered to us from their restaurant down the road. We had our laundry done and took advantage of their drivers. This place is a historical treasure. We will come back as soon as we are able!
Gorgeous hotel
Lovely hotel, wonderful staff, great location, will definitely be back
Family Friendly for sure.
The pool and hotel are really as good as the photos! I was traveling with just my 12 year old daughter who got very sick the day we were leaving. The staff were so kind and helpful. They got us to a nearby clinic that was able to help and they also told us that it was fine to check out later for free to be sure my daughter was well enough to continue traveling. We were so far from home and yet they made us feel like we were in theirs. That made a difficult situation much easier to get through.
Good hotel but hire their driver (Wayan) directly
The hotel is located in an excellent spot: not too far from the main street but is still very quiet. Our room was clean and the breakfast was good but simple. The customer service was very good until checkout. On checkout we got extra charges that we never agreed on while booking a tour package. Even after discussing the matter, they didn't care about our satisfaction. They only cared about their profit. To have the best experience, I would recommend to contact their driver directly (I Wayan Suardika). He is an excellent english speaking driver. He knows all the shortcuts, attractions, tips, etc. Murni provide no added value to tour packages: Wayan is doing all the work.
My happy place
Loved coming back to Murnis and seeing familiar and new faces. From the warm welcome to the solid, comfortable accommodation and hearty breakfasts this stay only reinforced my love for Ubud. Highly recommend you give this place your attention and the tours that are suggested. Honest Balinese hospitality.
Great expérience there. Perfect place to visit Ubud.
10 / 10
Murni's house was the cleanest hotel that I have stayed at in bali . The rooms were very comfortable with A/C . rooms were left cleaned everyday on our return from daily activities and staff more than happy to help out where they could . I will definitely be staying back here on next visit .
Central and Pleasant
Very central location within walking distance to Campuhan Ridge Walk, Ubud Market, Royal Palace, dance performances and Monkey Forest. Small pretty boutique style accommodation. Breakfast was included and there was a good variety of choices on the menu. I would recommend the local fare. Some rooms have air conditioning and some have fans, check beforehand (I did not and had fans which was OK for me but would not be for some). There is no pool currently but one is being installed (again pools are not important to me but some build their holiday around it). The spa is lovely but the prices are higher than many in Ubud so you may want to shop around before committing to the Tamarind experience. The staff were excellent and kind. The room was clean and had everything I needed (fridge, safe, extra bottled water, hot water in the shower....). I would recommend this hotel, great value for the price.
Food was delicious. Great location! Make sure to try the restaurant
