It was lovely, clean and the stff made us feel special with every interaction. The food at Drift is amazing. The spa (pool, gym, salt room) part could have used a little more instructions on what to expect but it was clean and had good services. Interlude Spa is right next door and has wonderful sevices.

All of the above. We come to Halifax for Xmas and stay at the Muir and are very comfortable.

Possibly Halifax’s most Lux Hotel

first visit, and we were very impressed. Level of service, staff attentive and on top of every need. Although we enjoyed the lounge and speak easy, we did not eat on site. When enquiring about a taxi for 6 to take us to the restaurant, front desk arranged for their Range Rover and chauffeur to take us and bring us back! Over the top service, without a doubt.

Loved this property for its amenities and proximity to a myriad of restaurants. Rooms were great - contemporary, clean, quiet, comfortable and luxurious.

Beautiful views but not worth the price of the rooms. Shortage of parking at times, for example after coming back from eating out, there was no parking available at hotel. Also don’t ask for the free shuttle if it’s one foot over the 2 km limit! We asked to be shuttled to a concert that was 2.4 kms away and the manager gave a hard no immediately and wasn’t that nice about it. We won’t be back.

The staff were top notch. Luxury is an experience and they have nailed it.

The Muir is in a great location. This updated, modern hotel is right on the harbor and is surrounded by dining and entertainment options. But what really tips the scale is the level of service. We were treated like royalty. I wish we could have spent more time there. We did get a chance to have an after-dinner drink at BKS, which was fun. We had an ADA room with an amazing bathroom. The view was partially blocked, but was accurately portrayed on the booking website. Biggest downsides were that parking is kind of wonky and somewhat difficult to find up front, and it's pricey. But we're not the type who would spend $150 for a bottle of rum in an in-room bar. (Although we sprang for $20+ drinks at BKS.) If you're in the mood to splurge and be pampered we would highly recommend.

What a beautiful hotel. Felt very new, lots of restaurants nearby.

Muir is a great spot. Sauna was not working & IMO had short hours (close early, open late) We made a point to go and sauna and steam room were both not working.

The bench seating in the room was not very comfortable. It would be nice to have comfy stuffed love seat with recline or foot rests. The table in front was awkward and not conducive to relaxing to watch tv. Pillows were not comfortable.

The hotel was amazing but I did back and forth with member of concierge as we were arriving on day of my partners birthday. I asked if they could do something special in room for him which they agreed and nothing was done for him. I even said I’d pay for it. That was very disappointing but rest of stay was nice.

The closest thing to a Four Seasons experience. Hats off to all the staff, especially the gents at the valet parking. The little things matter and the fact that you greeted us every time by our name is at the heart of your extraordinary service. Beautiful property, fantastic amenities are nothing without top shelf people. Very well done!

This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had. First class service in first classe facilities. I can’t think of a thing I didn’t like about this hotel. Definitely splurge and make it one of your stops in Halifax.

The Muir was an amazing experience for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. From the moment we arrived we were treated with kindness, enthusiasm and friendliness by the professional international staff. Every member of the staff took efforts to take care of every single need we had and took great efforts to learn our difficult last name and say it with enthusiasm. We live on the outskirts of the city and will make this hotel our first choice for any future stays in the city. We could not recommend this property any higher; it was the standard for comfort.

Truly fabulous - enjoyed the pool facilities and BLS bar. Room was very comfortable! No complaints at all! In a very walkable area near the water. Would definitely recommend!

We would recommend the Muir to anyone wanting to stay down by the harbour, the staff was so friendly and quick to help if anything was needed, you are walking distance to anything by the water.

Our first stay and we will definitely recommend/book this hotel again. The staff was on point and extremely pleasant in all areas of staffing.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Muir. It was quiet and the staff were excellent. The gym and wellness amenities are excellent: well stocked, clean and spacious. Note the pool area has adult and family times. I’d suggest aiming for the adult times if you’d prefer a quiet and relaxing visit. The on-site restaurant DRIFT is lovely. We ate there three times and enjoyed each experience. . Valet parking is a the same price as self-park.

Wonderful hotel on the waterfront, really great staff who are always happy to help. Great restaurants at the hotel and surrounding area and the speak easy bar is a real find for a late night cocktail

Beautiful in the heart if the waterfront and downtown. Beautiful, elegant rooms. Love the shampoos and lotions (Aesop) and the gym is awesome. Staff so lovely and helpful. BKS bar a treat.

Mini bars have kind of gone out of style but the Muir has a nice one. Turndown service was also very nice and thoughtful. Cold plunge pool was a highlight in the pool area. Such a great idea!

By far the best hotel I've ever stayed in on all the trips I've made, in addition to being very beautiful and in a great location, my family and I were surprised by the hotel staff, how polite and helpful they are with everything, we stayed 7 nights and didn't have any problem and on every occasion I have always noticed the hotel staff smiling and happy, they really enjoy being there and make our stay a perfect experience. Even our dogs were treated like real guests, thank you Muir team, we will definitely be staying at your Hotel again!

From the front desk staff, doormen, cleaning staff - all were amazing. Incredible attention to customer service. The room was beautiful with top amenities. Close to restaurants, shopping, entertainment. Will stay here again and will highly recommend to others

The service at the Muir hotel was amazing. After staying at many beautiful hotels the staff at the Muir exceeded any other hotel I have stayed at, including top resorts. The hotel itself is beautiful.

The minute we arrived the service was 5 star. Check in was very simple and quick. We received a welcome package in our room, and the room itself was spotless. The king sized bed, sheets and pillows were high-end which made for easy enjoyable sleeps. Heated washroom floors, self closing/opening curtains, and plenty of towels. The in room bar was a great addition with high qaulity spirit options and beer options. The gym was very modern and spacious with high end fitness equipment. The pool/sauna area was smaller but very clean and enjoyable. We ate at Drift located inside the hotel which i highly recommended as well. A true 5 star hotel, would definitely stay here again.
