Beautiful property right outside of Beverly Hills, Very central
Excellent location
Lovely room, in a very nice hotel. Also an excellent location. Service was excellent across the board. From; Valet, front desk, to food service and bar staff.
Excellent food & service in restaurant. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and nice views. On site parking very expensive. Hand towels and washcloths were not replaced 2 days in a row. Had to call housekeeping or front desk.
Claims to be 5-star no coffee machine and no fridge. Noisy event. Junk fees $58 per night. Un-tasty breakfast. Nothing of interest near the hotel
Property is ok but extra fees are so ridiculous. $70 for parking per night a $54 resort fee per night is a lot, more than the rate per night I initially paid. Will not come back, there are plenty of decent options around
Place was nice but price was too much
There were riots outside the hotel during our stay which is not a pleasant experience. Cost was way too high for parking plus additional charges or package that requires you to offset with their restaurant consumption.
Additional charges and fees
Hotel only provides valet parking at $65 per day and requires a daily deposit of $150. Thought I had paid hotel in full prior to arrival, cost me an additional $600 plus once I checked in.
This place is a gem
Insanely perfect. Gorgeous lobby to have a cocktail in. Rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds. The restaurant breakfast was delicious with a wide variety. The staff was friendly and attentive. Highly highly recommend.
Understaffed or just not fully trained. Loud hotel guests. The room noise insulation is terrible
NEVER AGAIN, Avoid even if it’s refurbished
Never again, not even after their claim of undergoing refurbishment soon. I chose this hotel randomly, only because of balcony. Their pictures online sells you something else. The hotel & rooms are run down from the lobby, bar area (half is closed off as construction site), hallways, pool etc. The carpets in hallway & balcony (weird!) were musty, stank like someone’s unwashed dirty socks. When i opened the room, it smelled mouldy, mattress is old & springy/super soft. No fridge/minibar, bathrobes, tea/coffee machines etc. At least don’t claim to be five star property. Pool’s in a sorry & rundown state with fake grass & broken chairs everywhere.
We always enjoy the stay at the Mr C's now Cameo. Dining is good, the bar area is enjoyable. Great location. We like the smaller boutique hotel.
The hotel was just ok nothing special. For the price we paid it should have been much better and cleaner. We stayed there 3 nights but the first night we barely slept as the air conditioner unit made such a loud noise outside the hallway that we could not sleep at all. The pillows were also uncomfortable. There were 4 people in the room 2 adults and 2 children and they only gave us 3 towels. We asked fir more towels but they didn't come until the next day. The day of check out we had to pay an addition $125 for some kind of "hidden spa fee" which included the use of the pool of which we never used. I guess they forgot its November and the temperatures drop. When we stayed there in was in the low 60's. I don't think it worth staying here and definitely will not be returning.
Quiet
This hotel sets a new low standard in the hilton chain. First the good, spacious room and friendly valet and front desk staff. It ends there! Ok the very odd things are. 1. No smart tv n only basic channels 2. No dresser so I guess you are to hang everything? No so cause they give yu 4 hangers. 3. no fridge. Now we call n ask for a fridge n hangers. Although they say right away. It is not the case. Mini fridge showed on second call a Day later. No such luck with coat hanger. 6 request for 4 days n the valet staff brought them. Now the bath towels have the same fate. No towel for days. Also in 5 days house keeping came twice n no towels with them! Now the ac unit just flashes 24 hours like a ca n era but no heat no ac. Spoke to front desk . Ask for manager n no one is available. There are more gross incompetance such as city view room is more 2nd floor fence view. Their sister Beverly Hilton for comparable price were fine so I guess we won't be back. Also hotel is generally run down. Lobby walls are scraped up n no one took time to just touch it up. Oh the ghost manager, never call or follow up. Always not available. This is the most unprofessional hotel i have experienced. Ps their insincere reply try to salvage their reputation and it is a bigger joke. The phone number in their reply was a joke. I called and again ask for management which again they are in meeting! Left number which they never called back.
The protesters were noisy and ruined my stay. They woke me up at 7;20am and made noise all day.
Dont go!
The hotel had many issues The extra added charge was a surprise The food at the restaurant was horrid We were woken in AM by strikers We had to ask at front for towels. The internet is wonky at best and need to sign in multiple times per day And they lost our car key at the valet on final day The view was nice and location but never staying there again
Great shower
Great shower!
Excellent place. Comfortable, beautiful room with great lighting/amenities, lovely and friendly staff, highly recommend!
There were already many small things which made the expense of the hotel difficult to justify, such as lack of ground transportation to the airport and the room felt outdated with not enough outlets, I put my try out overnight and called for it to be taken, it was left there all day until next day's room service. The final day was really what made me feel I would never go back, because I discovered the destination fee and meal credit charge was different from what I understood. The front desk reassured me I would get a follow up email on the matter to take the issue seriously. But when I heard nothing and called back the next week, they same staff I recognized by name and voice then acted like they didn't remember me, when I told them to look up the date, they then said I didnt lose much money and dismissed my comment about how they agreed to email me about a follow up. They said there was never anything they could do. Seems like they felt I should not have signed up for a hotel with stipulations that were on me to understand fully, no matter what staff or online messaging originally conveyed, I was to know the final outcome. Which in this case would best be to learn not to return here.
Todo muy bien! Solo el parking muy caro
It did not have queen beds.
Great place to stay!
Lovely hotel with excellent staff. The only downside was the shower - was like standing under Niagara Falls
Very classy hotel would like free on site parking but the view was worth it
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Cameo Beverly Hills. The staff and valet were amazing. We will definitely stay here again when we visit California again.
Nice pool area but no hot tub, cute retro vibe, gym had no AC and too hot to work out, room was clean but bare bones, comfy beds and nice sheets.would stay here again because of convenient location.
Protesters out for hours couldn’t sleep
the rooms need to be remodeled. Patio was missing balcony furniture. The techno music coming from the entry was loud and played until 11 PM and then there were union strikers chanting with a megapone around 7 AM. I used to stay there for work often, but will need to find a new hotel.
Mediocre to not great
The room was nice, kinda clean but not great. There was a smell of cigarettes though a non smoking room. The service teams did not always asnwer the phone quickly. For some reason the housekeeping staff removed our robes and then it took 4 calls to get e return call.
Beautiful property with great breakfast options
Loved my stay here just wish valet wasn’t as much per day. Everything else was beautiful.
It was very quiet and easy in and out to La. Close but outside. Chic and cozy! Spacious rooms with plenty of light. Love the balcony and city view. The rooms and hotel have character. Wonderful service and wait staff. Eddie was a delight and very hospitable. The valet and security and cleaning staff were very kind and helpful.
Nice and convenient hotel
.
The hotel was beautiful, the pool was small, and they charged me $65 2 months after I left b/c they forgot to add a fee, that was very concerning
Lovely staff. Be ready to spend for valet though!
Interior design Italian charm , understaffed , needs update could be very nice boutique hotel
The property was cool. It has a nice minimalistic approach to Hollywood chic. It was inconspicuously safe and central to the everything to do in Los Angeles. We loved it!
Safe, Easy Access, Lovely Surroundings.Comfortable Room, Nice Balcony View, Staff and Service Was Very Friendly snd Accommodating. Look Forward To Visiting Again. MB
The overall property feels very modern and updated but they really need to change the carpeting in the halls. It definitely makes the overall look feel dated.
Convenient location in Beverly Hills, only a 10 minute walk down the road to Rodeo Drive. Rooms were very spacious and the pool area was lovely with bar service which was an added bonus.
Outstanding hotel with friendly and helpful staff! Excellent view from our balcony! Loved it!
The hotel itself is quaint. Very high-end feel when you walk in. The staff was friendly enough. The waitstaff in the restaurant was stellar. Nice pool area. Had a very backyard feel to it. It was very clean. The gym was adequate. They definitely try with it. They even offer complimentary water bottles in the mini refrigerator. The gym had a very “working out in someone’s basement” feel to it as you WERE working out in the basement. The negatives were: They make you pay a resort fee which you are forced to use there at the restaurant or you lose the money. They also charge a $150 PER NIGHT deposit which I have NEVER heard of! Hotels that charge deposits usually charge a one time flat fee. Right off the bat, they put a SEVERAL HUNDRED dollar hold on my card I hadn’t planned on which made my trip a little more frugal than I would have liked. Also, the rooms are very nice but they have leather furniture in them that was starting to look a little shabby in my opinion. Overall it was a decent hotel for a couple of night’s stay.
LA Taxes are a lot .
I loved everything about this hotel
This property is beautiful, the rooms were clean. Issues were that there is no sign, so Ubers had trouble finding the hotel. Another room on my floor had a massive water leak so the carpet was squishy for two days, and the valet when I arrived was unprofessional and seemed very confused about what he was doing. The staff were very friendly and housekeeping was lovely. Great views.
Staff is not friendly and accommodating, hotel has a bad vibe, not what it used to be like when Mr. C was there.
Nice place
I liked the location of the property and the staff. The rooms need some new furniture and updates.
We really enjoyed our stay. The pool was not open when were there as it was too cold for LA. So I can't say how that area was. Hotel location was convenient easy walk to Rodeo and Lyft was quick to take us to farther site seeing activities. As for the hotel, we loved it. Our room faced Beverly Hills and you could see the Hollywood sign in the distance. The area is not high traffic so it was quiet and had beautiful views. The restaurant had great breakfast options but the lunch / dining was limited. I had pasta one night and the noodles were a bit under cooked and the sauce was very bland. My husband had the oysters and loved them. It would have been great if they had a separate room service or snack type menu, even a separate bar menu. So we ate elsewhere for all the other nights. one draw back was with the lobby/ lounge toilets one smelled horribly of urine the entire stay, I can't understand why this was not addressed with a professional cleaner. All in all we loved our stay at the Cameo, staff was fantastic and location is perfect for a relaxing getaway. We will definitely be back.
Centrally located
We stayed here for part of our honeymoon- we had a balcony on city side and views did not disappoint. It’s worth noting there is no fridge/microwave in the suite. Overall, our stay was wonderful. Location was about 15/20 minute walk to stores and restaurants. We felt super safe in the area. The local restaurants close at 10 so if you are looking for a night life, you will have to taxi some where further. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. Well worth the price we paid.
I love Cameo! They kept our room clean every day and the view was awesome! I will be booking with them again.
Nice weekend
A very nice weekend for a family wedding. The hotel was very nice and perfect location. Everyone was very attentive and welcoming
Rooms incredible wall full of windows- two things I would’ve liked in the room was a coffee maker and hotel notepads and pen as when I travel I take a lot of notes and I like that personal touch
The service here overall is what we loved the most! Will definitely be coming back, thanks Cameo.
Was really nice!
Awesome
Spectacular establishment. By far one of my favourite places I’ve stayed at. One of the best features of Cameo Beverly Hills were how friendly and helpful the staff were.
We had a great experience at Cameo. The hotel is quiet and we felt very safe, which is always a top priority. I thought the property was quite well maintained and it didn't feel rundown to me at all. It is walkable to Rodeo Drive which was nice since we were taking so many Ubers to get elsewhere in the city. The bed was very comfortable and the room smelled noticeably clean when we walked in. Front desk staff is nice. I did ask that a second chair be brought up for use on the balcony since there were two of us in the room who wanted to enjoy sitting outside together, but it never arrived. I also didn't realize until we had housekeeping come on our second day that the room was not fully equipped with towels when we arrived; we did not receive hand towels or a shower mat until that day. I also wish the rooms came standard with a mini fridge; I've seen from comments here that fridges can be requested but I was not informed of that. Room service was good, but the on site restaurant is a bit pricy. Overall would recommend for anyone who wants to stay in Beverly Hills!
The view from my room was very nice. The food was over priced and not good at all.
Staff were wonderful!
Great stay. Beautiful Rooms. Walkable to everything you need. Staff was good.
I had the best three days in Cameo! I was obsessed with the Beverly hills view and Nice Interior design !
The property was MUCH better maintained when it was a Mr C. The room was very worn and run down. The lobby is awkward and repeatedly had to ask for stuff to full fill simple tasks such as a bucket of ice. The bar is under staffed. This property has so much going for it in terms of location and fixed facilities, it is a shame they haven’t maintained it in a way that compliments its true potential.
PROPERTY WAS SECLUDED AND QUIET. SECURITY GUARDS ON DUTY DAILY. FRIENDLY HELPFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. HOTEL WALKABLE AND NEAR BEST SHOPPING AREAS.
Good place with an attentive staff. Well located
the front dedsk staff was extremely freindly. the rrom was amazing witht eh view of the hollywood sign.will definitely stay here again in the future
Very nice front desk-
Very nice staff
The only thing i didnt like was that the rooms did not have a mini fridge or coffee maker. The bar area downstairs did have coffee and tea each morning to offset not having a machine in the room.
no bar, restaurant open only from 6pm, no room service
Was a nice place...but needs to be updated .
I had such a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel!
Awesome
Great service all around beautiful place to stay needs a safe and mini fridge and it will be a 10
All good and great price point. Parking over priced as everywhere! Building leaked a lot In rain and there’s no coffee machines in the rooms. Otherwise nice.
Beautiful area. But the staffing awful!! 😣 We waited for drink for 30 mins, ordered then we waited for another 30 minutes they went to the back of main restaurant to mix the drink idk. They should have told us they were closed until 5 pm for the front bar. Next day we went to have breakfast, they sat us. Then NO ONE CAME BY TO SAY or ask if we were ready to order. They served some Asian people big family first. Even tho we sat first. They kept walking by us as if we were ghost. We waited for 30 mins. They would serve everyone (other races) But never to my friend and I. (we are latin we felt a bad racism) We walked out and they just saw us no one said anything or ask. It was very rude and disrespectful Bed is awful! Felt like sleeping on Motel mattress. I hope that now that they will rebuild it. It might help them to get better. Not to mention dead RATS around the place.
I would definitely stay here again!!!! Location was amazing. Views were amazing. Very classy and elegant. Love love love
Property in great location but dated
The hotel was so luxurious. I can see why Hilton bought it. Celebrities were there for the Grammys, but ordinary people like me retreated just like them respect, patience, and kindness. I can’t wait to come back to LA and stay at this hotel.
Outdated, a lack of luxuries, mediocre restaurant service
Loved our trip to Cameo Beverly Hills! I have worked in the hospitality industry for years so I tend to be picky. Great staff and such lovely rooms. Very elegant facility. A bit pricy, but what else can you expect given the location? One con is that there is no refrigerator/microwave/coffee maker in room but I believe they do offer coffee in lobby and we were able to request a mini fridge for our stay :) thank you Cameo for a lovely stay!
The staff were all outgoing and nice. The rooms were very nice and was a great stay. I definitely would stay here again.
The staff was amazing and super friendly. Unfortunately the property itself is now a bit dated and run down. The furnishings in the rooms need to be cleaned or replaced and they’ve removed all the special touches that made Mr C such a special property before Hilton acquired it. No mini fridges, no snacks, no coffee maker or any tea service; even the towels are not as plush and they no longer have bath robes and my soap dish was even missing inside the bathroom.
this hotel is very confusing, the way it is run is unusual compared to any other hotel. I have been to in the worst of ways. Check in was easy however, right when I was completed they slipped and that there was a $45 resort fee. I asked per night ?No per day!!! I said I’ve never heard such a thing except in Vegas and even there it is not $45 a day. The agent explained that $35 of that is credited towards food and beverage. I hesitantly said OK but then after I checked into my room, it was nawing at me especially since I had all my meals planned off property with friends I am vegan and don’t drink ! I went down to the front desk to explain that I wasn’t comfortable with this additional price and that for the additional price I would’ve just booked a better hotel. They obliged and took the charge off my bill. my hot water didn’t work in my room maintenance. Tried to fix it for over an hour which sent me behind for the event that I was going for because I have then had to check into another room. The whole escapade took a couple of hours, however, the room they gave me was slightly better. They say there’s coffee down in the lobby at u till 10 am two out of the five days it wasn’t available. The restaurant although I didn’t eat, there was weird cold, and like a cafeteria the gym was well equipped. The biggest fail for me is my last day I asked for a wake up call for a meeting I had and THEY FAILED TO CALL!! I missed my meeting. It was extremely embarrassing!FAIL!!!!!
The working team of the supposed 5-star hotel makes you feel like garbage from the moment you arrive, starting with having booked through Expedia, their manners the low class of the staff are just a few of the things I experienced in two rooms with my family. Every day I left the hotel as early as possible to arrive as late as we could....
It is difficult to describe the terrible experience I had at a NO 5 star hotel. Since arriving after 3 pm room was not ready. We book via Expedia, error because the hotel says that why they can’t give the request. We call the property previous our arrival for the requested type of room, they confirmed . Once arrived no room ready, no requested room… they said after one hr waiting that was what they had. Rooms were not connected, no close to each, both king size bed (we ask for one king one double, one was accessible room for disabled) Housekeeping once even left all dirty sheets in our suitcase! Jareth, who said was the manager, spoke at us like Dory from Nemo. Whole conversation making fun of us and always sarcastic. He even timed for how long we argued. We spent the worst five nights and every time you get close to front desk people were complaining. No worth a penny Do not stay there It is no way a 5 star hotel
The best hotel in Beverley Hills.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again next time we come to LA.
Very beautiful property! Would absolutely stay here again. Staff was friendly, helpful and the hotel was very boutique style. I love it
6-7 years ago ,when ıts name ıs MrC hotel ıt was perfecf..thats why I booked for the second time..I thought ıt changed just the name but I did a great mistake.thıs ıs my worst experience ın my whole life,ı wish it is the last..first of all altgough ı emaıled and declared that ı wıll pay all the amount ın cash during the check in ,they did not accept me to pay cash and blocked my credit card and avoıd my shoppümg ın rodeo..ı stayed 7 nights and could not use my credıt card and they caused me to pay ınterest to my bank becouse of debıtttıng card more than ıts capacıty ALTHOUGH ı wıshed to give the whole amount durıng the check ın..at the 6th day,the receptionıst lady took my whole money and told me that she released the credır card block, but she did not..she "ı wont declare her name", obviously cheated me becouse the day after durıng checkout the receptıoınıst ypıng man told that ıt ıs not released yet...and they can only release durıng check out...and he released in few minutes..thanks him for his honesty..secondly the rooms and furnitures was very old..quıte large rooms and perfect bathrooms made us glad..also the locatıon is good but ubers mısunderstood the locatıon generally because they have no buılding sign and they also have "cameo" in downtown LA..as a conclusion ı never never never stay ın thıs hotel agaın and recommend anyone, alsı prevent people to stay ,ıf ı can...besıdes these,ı belıeved Orbıtz to stay here becuse ıt has good points, but ı extremely regretted
Nice area and nice rooms.
STAY ELSEWHERE
I have stayed here prior to them re branding to Cameo. Awful management, double charged me for my room, and did not accommodate any requests. Manager refused to even get on the phone with me after they mischarged me.
I enjoyed the outdoor patio seating area, the food, the staff are amazing, the elevators are quick, cozy and not a lot of people. It’s a quaint, boutique hotel.
This hotel is not ready to have guest stay at there hotel. Location is great.
No hot water in shower.. and water pressure was crazy high
Didn’t feel safe and no hot water one night
Absolutely my new favorite stay ! Thank you all very much!
