Incredibly guest friendly staff. Very cool atmosphere. In the heart of Old Town.
I always select hotels so when I walk out of the hotel, I'm where I want to be (no metro or uber). Moxy is perfect. In the middle of old town, mostly pedestrian streets around the hotel. Interior very eclectic, a lot of thought into making the lobby and rooms pleasing and interesting. Many day tours leave from University Square, just 5 minute easy walk from the hotel. Breakfast can't be beat. Highly recommended by a 56-country traveller (me).
It was very good overall but lobby is too small and was very loud. Management didn’t do anything about it
Unpleasant experience with front desk staff but otherwise lovely stay
Close to everything
Lovely hotel but rooms are disappointing
Staff were friendly, helpful & welcoming. Rooms were well decorated but missing some essentials such as a safe, a fridge and enough storage for clothes, any stay more than a night you are storing your clothes etc in your suitcase. I would also mention that the beds were hard and only being given one very underwhelming pillow was not comfortable. Luckily we had a packed agenda and came back exhausted the nights were did stay in the hotel. Such a shame as this hotel had potential, just needs to work on the room comfort more
Modern design. Welcoming staff. Easy access to 100 bus stop that takes you to the airport and Therme for just 60p each way. Close proximity to museums, art Safari and restaurants.
Great location and very nice modern rooms
Perfect location just outside the Old City yet close to major transportation routes. Very helpful staff.
Trendy hotel in a good location. Restaurants close by and walkble to most places. Facilities are also good and the atsmophere is vibrant!
I had the best stay of my life at Moxy! The staff really made the entire stay, I’ve never encountered such friendly staff at a hotel. They gave us a shot while checking us in, and another drink with the key card which right away had us laughing and excited to explore the city. The room itself was very nice and I loved all the quirks and thought put in to the decor. The area was easily walkable and close to the old town. We felt very safe at every time of day and night.
Everything
perfect location. everything in walking distance
Not suitable for stays more than one or two days
Staff was very friendly, but not allways competent. Location was excelent. Room was very small, with no closet or anything to store clothes. Breakfast was quite sparse, and the coffee awfull. Very low end for a 4 star.
Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Excellent location close to Old Town and many other attractions and metro station within easy walking distance.
Quite frequently the girls at the "front desk"
Not Bad
Th hotel let me pay 25 Euro per night for my puppy dog and it was not mentioned before !!! for me it was not fair at all !! No minibar at the room and no trash can ( a one was in the bathroom ).....in general the serves was good and so the condition of the Hotel....
Convenient location
Just a couple minutes walk from Old Town, it was a great location as it's also a couple minutes walk to pick up locations if you're planning to go on tours and such. The area is decently safe but you'll want to be aware of your surroundings as we didn't feel completely safe in the Bucharest area and were almost mugged twice by 2 different groups of 3 men (nowhere near the hotel) but we noticed and switched directions and went the opposite way. The hotel itself is super cool with lounge areas that make you feel welcome, the room is spacious and comfortable but it is missing a mini fridge. The staff was okay, some are nice, some are nothing to brag about. Housekeeping lady is very nice. Even provides lockers if you arrive too early or need to check out later. The first night, there was loud music playing from 9pm to 3 am which made it a little hard to sleep. We asked for two towels but was told to wait 15 minutes and 33 minutes later, they arrived with two pillow instead. They also couldn't tell us how much taxis will cost. Overall, pretty happy with the hotel, location, and the look but some staff were lazy for sure but that might just be a European thing that we noticed, but most are nice people.
Awesome place and the best A/C in Europe!
Amazing stay!
Wonderful service, great room and unbelievable location!
nice hotel, the surrounding of the old city is so so in general
Great property, great staff
The property was great. Well managed and staff were very helpful and polite. Location is brillinat.
Great hotel
Great location and lobby area. Ideal for visiting old town and perfect rooms
A great location in the old town. Conveniently located for restaurants & bars, tours around the city & pick up locations for coaches & local buses. Very basic room - comfortable bed, great shower. Unfortunately there was no safe or drinking water. Hanging rail but no wardrobe or drawers. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Big self service left luggage lockers which were good. Funky decor. Good value & I would stay there again.
Nice hotel with friendly staff
I needed to stay one night in the area. This hotel was the cheapest solution for that reason.
Good Location good toom
Centrally Located to the main touristic district good and quiet room decent breakfast
Great stay
Our stay was great, initially we where there for 2 nights at the beginning of and 8 day vacation and we returned for our last night. Breakfast is decent, not to many options but that sometimes is better. Staff at reception extremely nice. I would say: maybe a bottle of water in the room would have been nice.
City break
Extremely noisy street but the location was great. The staff were really helpful and nice.
The hotel room has nothing inside, no closet no phone no safe no coffee machine, just bed.
Perfect location. Great customer service.
Great vibe!
Awesome property. Great vibe, friendly staff, fun theme and decorating, and a lot of small smile-educing touches. Good location, within an easy walk to activities, attractions, and nightlife. Extensive breakfast, though the breakfast area is a bit tight.
Overall, a great stay! Only drawback is no refrigerators but that could be due to the room size? The staff was all fantastic! Especially the person that returned my credit card that had fell out of my pocket. Would recommend this place!
Good breakfast, walking distance to most live attractions.
Worst Moxy I have ever stayed in
Zero service or care for the patrons.
I went to check in. They had canceled my room while I was on long flight from US. I paid through my credit union which is very small. They were waiting to hear from me if charge was legitimate. I didn’t get email till I disembarked and Moxy had already cancelled. Horror!!It was night and I had to find another hotel. They didn’t care or help.
Great location! Excellent stay for 3 nights in Bucharest.
Always a good stay
The only major issue was 3 of the 4 towels in my room had stains on them. Very unhygienic to have white stained towels for guests.
Great place to stay in the old town. Friendly helpful staff.
Very nice and clean hotel, good location
Very good location, close to the old town. Breakfast was good, the stuff is very friendly. The place looks new and feel good.
Great location in old town. Centre to everything.
Whimsical and young clientele but good place.
This property was perfect for exploring Bucharest. So many great restaurants within walking distance, the staff at the hotel are so helpful and friendly. Altogether a really great hotel with a great city vibe.

Moxy Bucharest
Hotel has a funky modern vibe. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Check out was 12 instead of 11 which was handy. Hotel is in the heart of the old town and this perfect for this to do, with multiple bars and restaurants on your doorstep. The rooms are nice but lack somewhere to hang your clothes and no safe. We also left our bags in a secure room at the end of the holiday, but when we went to get them, the door was left often. All in all a decent hotel.
The hotel is in a great location. Lots to see around the area and everything is within walking distance. The staff are fab and really friendly especially Ionut, Andreea and Dragos. We will definitely be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fine but I won't be back
Fine, but I wish they gave you more pillows. We could ask for more and did, but on first night only had one each which was odd. Just put 2 per person in the room to start with, save me having to go to reception and ask (as there's no phone in room). Also the TV came on randomly in the middle of the night and woke us up. When I told reception they didn't apologise, but said they'd have someone look at it. I checked on my return that evening, the woman then on reception didn't know anything about it and said there was no record so clearly no one checked, she did at least apologise for it, that's all I wanted - it's a tech failure so not the staff fault. There was also no hairdryer in the room, so I had to go to reception when my hair was wet to request one. Just some simple things that could be done better. Location was good, room was clean.
Friendly comfortable stay
A great stay on the outskirts of Bucharest old town, highly recommended for access to Old town, all of it's bars and restaurants. Can get a little noisy at night however this didn't bother us too much, hotel staff were very friendly and I would definitely stay here again
Our stay was fab, really great hotel and really close to lots of restaurants and bars!
Very short stay but everything was perfect! Good size room and very close to the old town
Centrally located. Solid three star.
Brilliantly.
Great hotel just something broken and not fixed
Very nice hotel. Breakfast wasn’t the greatest. We upgraded and paid extra for a room with a balcony but our room was the only one to have one chair (usually 2) and that one chair was broken. Did nothing to fix
The hotel is located in the perfect spot in old town Bucharest, you are in the heart of the action and never have to cross a major road to get places. But the staff at Moxy is what really cemented our sure return to this property. Silviu at reception literally saved our trip by helping us find a last minute car rental after we failed at many attempts with major american company brands. He called numerous local companies and spoke to them in Romanian to ensure we got a vehicle and were out of the city in time to make all our bookings. Can not thank him enough. This man deserves a raise! 👏
Great place!
Perfect basic hotel in a good location. Bed mattress not the comfiest.
Highly recommend
Excellent location, spotlessly clean, breakfast was extremely good, there was a wide selection of products to choose from and it was all fresh and plentiful. Water and juice were available all day to help yourself. The rooms were very clean and comfy with good bathroom products. The housekeeping service was amazing. The only slight criticism that I have is that there are no drawers in the rooms and very limited hanging space but it is a city centre hotel so I can understand why. I would like to give a big shout out to Ocsana on reception, we were travelling as a group of 15 for a surprise birthday and she was so helpful before our trip in helping me sort things out and get arrangements in place and on arrival she was really friendly and helpful a very lovely lady.
Best place in Bucharest
Absolutely fantastic place. Close to everything. The stuff is incredibly friendly and efficient always willing to help you out with everything. Quiet and relaxing. Great design. Couldn't ask for more. The hotel is value for money.
Good location and cool hotel
Great place to stay in Bucharest old town
Reallt friendly staff, free polinco. Would definately stay again.
Modern, quite, easy to acess town nice place, recomend. The bar is nice as well.
Part of this trend of crash pads, the room lacks things you need for a comfortable stay (no desk, work chair, safe, dresser, fridge, etc). Also - unforgivably - the bed and pillows suck. Lobby great, staff great, area good for younger ppl especially.
Moxy couldn’t care less...
I had an accident a few days before my stay. I contacted Hotels.com to ask if my booking could be refunded or rebooked for a later date. The agent was very helpful. They contacted the property and explained the situation. The reception came back with an outright no. I dropped a message to the hotels social team. After 72 hours, I didn't receive a reply. I then emailed the sales and reception team with a medical letter and photos of my injury. They replied after a day and said it was up to hotels.com to make the decision. Hotels.com said it was down to the property. Again, I emailed the property, and they've not bothered to reply. Hotels.com done their best but Moxy could not care less. All they are interested in is taking your money. I’ll take my custom elsewhere in the future and avoid the Marriott group hotels.
Cute, modern, clean
This is a cool hotel in the centre of Old Town Bucharest. The location is perfect for bars and restaurants and the hotel staff were friendly. When we arrived we were pleased with our choice. However, although we expected the rooms to be small, they were tiny. We didn't sleep the first night because the bed was rock hard and we were given a small thin pillow each. The staff thought I was mad when I asked for 4 extra pillows and an extra duvet to sleep on. Also, the small bathroom smelled of sewage. Although this hotel is an interesting place in a great location, they miss the two most important requirements of any hotel namely comfort and cleanliness. We won't be staying their again.
The place is very well located in the Old Town with lots of restaurant options and activities, especially during the evening. It's also close to most important places to visit when in town.
Watch out for lower floor street lights
The hotel is super cute beds very comfy room are very boutique modern. however if you’re on a lower floor there is street light outside and if you don’t like pitch dark rooms you have to use the dark shades due to the lights outside.
Each night was terrible, with yelling and loud talking around 2pm. If you need a good night sleep, this is not the place. The rest of the hotel conditions were good.
Fine
Lovely cool hotel with helpful staff. Great location in heart of old town.
Very nice hotel, nice staff, decoration is very cool. I would easily stay in that Hotel again when i come to Romania.
Just perfect
Excelente hotel, buena ubicación, limpio, desayuno muy completo
Nice clean hotel But lack of amenities inside the rooms such as minibar and safety box
Ideal for a city break
Well placed hotel for Bucharest Old Town, situated in a quiet side street just off a main road. Very bright & modern. Has everything you need for a comfortable city break.
Nice hotel in an easy to reach location. On the whole friendly staff.
This was a really well located hotel in the heart of the old town. We felt safe, lots of dining options and bars. The rooms were clean and functional. Only thing i would say is the front desk could be abit more polite.
Solid
Great hotel
Love this hotel great room an hospitality good vibes
It was close to the old town streets. Room was clean, bed comfortable. No refrigerator was a problem. Room air conditioner worked really well. Small workout room on 1st floor. Bar area on floor zero was preppy and hip.
Similar to the other Moxy hotels I’ve stayed in- really consistent levels of convenience, quality and cleanliness.
Great reception staff !! Very helpful. Location is extremely convenient. My only comment would be to allow guest to check in especially if the room is available.
Recommended
I stayed here for 8 nights and was very happy. The room and bathroom were not cramped and were aesthically pleasing. The staff at the front were helpful, kind, and funny! I was also constantly noticing staff cleaning the grounds (ie. mopping floors, sanitizing garbages, etc), which was nice to see.
Delighted
Great location, friendly service and excellent facilities (including a very good buffet breakfast). The Moxy gave us the perfect base for a terrific short stay in Bucharest, which surprised us with its warmth, vibrancy and beauty.
Hotel location was excellent The staff, one and all, were excellent too. Nothing too much trouble for them. Room was roomy, bed comfortable, and shower hot. But having next to nnowhere to hang up your clothes was definitely a quirky experience!
The Moxy had a great location to Old Town. It was very clean, had good amenities for the price and the rooms were very well maintained.
A hip and stylish hotel, with modern rooms
Good... BUT
Firstly, the service, this was dependent on the time of day, Irina was absolutely amazing, very welcoming when we arrived at 2am, which immediately made us relax after a long afternoon travelling. Such a friendly face every evening. Could not have done more and also meant we spent some time at the bar one evening just because she was there. The service during the day was terrible, unfriendly, dismissive, everything seemed to be a problem. Could not be more polar opposites. The overal comfort of the room and hotel was very good, however, this was let done by the terrible sound proofing. First night we were awoken by someone trying to get into our room for about 20 minutes, we had double locked the door and it appeared they were just very drunk, but with no phone in the room it was not possible to even call reception and have it dealt with and did not feel comfortable dealing with it myself as the person was clearly very drunk. The first morning we were awoken by what i think was the same person checking out about 7am still very drunk and screaming in the hallway. The last night was disturbed by the next door room shouting and screaming at 3am. The walls are paper thin and again no phone so had to find a phone number to call from a cell phone as we were both in bed. This really let the hotel down a lot as most evenings were disrupted badly in some way.
Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Thank you again!
Best location and stay in Bucharest
Everything was perfect. The most perfect location, very friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable.
Great property very close to the old town rooms were lovely clean and modern
Good location for walking and the metro is just a couple blocks away. The staff is very nice. Old Town gets a little rambunctious later in the evening, so keep your wits about you if you venture out after 10 PM.
Worst hotel. Worst staff. Rudest management and employees. Felt like an inconvenience the whole time.
Brilliant
Great place, great location. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Food is questionable: sadly the lasagne was cold in the outside and in the centre(I guess that says it’s reheated rather than fresh) but was clearly not reheated long enough. Staff agreed and provided a complimentary free drink. Rooms are great but I would like more space for clothes.
Good location & hotel room - POOR GUEST SERVICE
Hotel is new & in a good area, walkable to Old Town and shopping areas. Rooms are small/modern, nice bathroom, BUT NO CLOSET, to hang clothes. One small shelf barely holds a small laptop PC and no chair - only small footstool. Mostly disappointed with Poor Guest Service - and the "KIDS" running the hotel. I asked the front desk for dinner/restaurant recommendation in the area - No IDEA. I stopped in at the Hilton across the street - they recommended 3 places (Local specialties, Italian, and pub/seafood) I ate at 2 of them - both good. I asked front desk if there was a bank/ATM to get EURO's? Anwer - "YES - ATM here in the lobby - you can choose the currency" But the ATM only dispenses local Currency - NO EURO's. Self-service coffee machine wasn't working - so they recommended a small coffee place around the corner - It was Closed! Front desk agent said "I'll have my "Colleague" make you a coffee - but the "Colleagues" are out front smoking - I waited about 10 minutes for coffee. Asked Front Desk if UBER or TAXI was available to Airport? YES -- use UBER pick-up/wait right out front of the hotel. BUT - the pick-up point is down the block across from Hilton - finally found the pick-up point after receiving 2 cancellation fees $14 Euros/each $28 total! If you plan to stay at MOXY - go across the street to the HILTON for any guest service questions - the staff at the Hilton is helpful & trained to answer guest questions.
Average hotel
Close to nearly bars and food Metro stop about 5 minutes walk Hotel was very clean Beds are hard No wardrobe or safe in room Shower powerful Breakfast was poor. Scrambled egg and fried egg in same hot container and bacon undercooked. bread rolls very hard.
Great Hotel!
Could not fault anything. Friendly, helpful staff, high standards throughout, will definitely use on my next visit and recommend to friends and family contemplating a visit to Bucharest.

Less Than Impressed
Not impressed with the Moxy in Bucharest. The branding is not to my taste, it’s very loud and a bit crass, but some people may enjoy that. The quality of the room was poor — mildew on the shower tiles, old lumpy comforters, mattresses that slide all around on the bed platform. The view was nice and the breakfast spread was impressive, but I think for the price you could find better quality elsewhere. I’m surprised because this is a Marriott brand, and I expect better quality from them.
