The check-in process was very complicated and we waited on hold for over an hour. The service is unpleasant, the chefs in the dining room are impatient and do not respond to what is requested. The food is very average and repeats itself throughout the meals

Birthday get away

We went only for a night, for my mom's birthday and everything was beautiful. The staff specially Fadel were so kind, respectful and super helpful with everything. The beach and pool are clean and the food was sublime.

Very kind, friendly and smiling staff! Amazing and delicious food. We stayed in a bungalow which was very clean and spacious. The surroundings of the hotel and the pools are clean and well maintained. We will definitely come back again!

Vary good hotel for a family vacation

It was a great vocation. the hotel rooms are big but shower room is not so fancy. Good food at the restaurant morning and evening. The hotel service and management were great.

Fun time in Sinai/Taba

We had a great 2 night stay and could not believe how nice the hotel was given the incredibly low price - not sure if it was due to the time of year. Great spot to go scuba diving/snorkeling and enjoy time with family! Short walk to the Aquaworld dive school center which I highly recommend for beginner/instructional diving.

Very nice stay.

Lovely stay. Staff were very nice, at times tho queues in reception were way too long (30min to check in). Room was big and comfy, clean, yet outdated. Food in all-included was ok. Went to a few restaurants in the hotel premises and lived them. Spa was lovely too. Overall value for money- really recommend!

A pearl between mountains and sea

In one word- AMAZING! the hotel location is fantastic, we walked from the border- do not take a taxi. The resort itself is breathtaking, everything is green, well taken care of, the combination of the mountains with the beach and this pearl between them was absolutely beautiful. You can tell that the hotel is a bit old but its not something that the service didn't fixed. In fact, the service was the best that ive experienced in my life. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, room service was quick, at the reception everyone always asked if theres anything they can help with and the cherry on the cake was the restaurant. Cheff Ahmad was so welcoming and nice, the food was great, Egyptian desserts even better, all the employees was greeting and gave the best service even with the language barrier, and above all of them was Ayman, the restaurant manager who gave us an experience we wont forget by making us feel at home in his restaurant. I would also like to thank the food and beverages manager who was so kind and was nice talking to. We also visited the spa which was the best we've ever been in. We were welcomed in by Abdallah who was absolutely perfect, gave us exactly what we wanted and was so kind and informative. The actual fool body mixed massage was given to us by the wonderful Ali and Malack, which was the best masseurs weve ever had the pleasure recieving massages from. I loved Malack and my husband loved Ali. The overall experience was fantastic, very recommended!

The hotel staff is very kind. The hotel was fully occupied but this was not felt in either the dining room or the other complexes. We took everything included and the food was varied. Overall excellent value for money

Amazing hotel

We arrived at the hotel on 02/09 for eight nights. Ahmed from the reception gave us excellent, fast and professional service. We got the bungalow room, by the sea. Huge room beautiful and clean. The entire hotel staff is amazing and helpful. Each time they asked if they needed help or something. Great breakfast (lovely Mustafa). The pools are clean, the view is stunning and the hotel is very clean. Thanks for the staff… We'll be back bear….

Great hotel with amazing beach and pools

We only stayed one night but it was truly great. Very nice room with great view a big balcony. All the staff were super friendly and nice. Breakfast was well laid out despite COVID restrictions. Will come again

Beautiful Hotel with perfect beach. We stayed at bungalow room. The hotel is almost empty so no much to do there but if you seek just to relax on the beach it's perfect. The hotel is very clean and the service is outstanding.

Wonderful vacation

Enjoyed my stay to the max. The hotel’s location is great overlooking Aqaba bay. The staff are very friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet was perfect with a great variety of delicious food. Special thanks to Mr Atef from the restaurant who made sure every day that we were well served. Snorkeling was also amazing (see pictures)

Overall good stay. Breakfast wasn't good. The on sight restaurants had good service, but the food wasn't that good.

Highly recommended

The staff service was impeccable and the rooms large and clean. The pool facilitates were amazing and closeness to the beach was a real attraction. The food was average so the nearby restaurants provided varied and interesting places to eat. Note that the scuba diving is not part of the hotel fascilities, and the dive center at Hilton Tava can be contacted directly for a slightly cheaper price.

Overall we had a really great time. Things we would like to see improved though are the noise from the poolside entertainment shows that was heard pretty loud from our rooms and the poolside cleanineness. Aside from these I would say "Keep up the good work!"

Very nice place clean and safe kind staff wonderful view

Great location, spacious room, not so clean, a lot of noise- extremely loud music is played daily for about 5 hours straight from evening to night and is heard from inside of the rooms strongly.

Nice hotel terrible food

Nice hotel with wonderful sightseeings, good rooms but terrible food at the main restaurant. Me and my wife got sick from the food-which was far beyond any acceptable quality for a hotel at this category. Surely will never come back.

Movenpick Resort in Taba Egypt was a great discovery. The beach and the Red Sea were simply magnificent. The staff is professional and friendly. The resort itself has great amenities and the views are just great. I find it disappointing that everything is in US dollar (e.g. Spa services) instead of the local currency but I presume it's an Egyptian law as well. The room I've stayed in needs a bit of attention (e.g bath tiles. There was some holes in the walls) and I was somewhat disappointed in the view (I'm front of the Chinese Restaurant); Mostly because there was a lot of noise every night and lots of loud music. I was coming here for some peace and quiet before moving on in my trip with less luxurious lodging. Even though it was New Years (so entirely understandable), the days prior and after were still the same. I have stayed in Movenpick Resort in Taba for 6 nights. It is indeed a very family-friendly resort - simply be aware of it. Lots of children running in the hallways and slamming doors around (again not agreeing with the peace and quiet I was looking for). The food at breakfast was decent but I wished for more local food. It was mostly international except from the falafel. I would recommend Movenpick and would probably visit again. Though, I would definitely ask for a room in a quieter area of the resort. Taba is extremely beautiful with the Red Sea but has not much to offer except the resort life ; at least around the Movenpick Resort!

Pros: heated indoor pool, private beach, if you are coming from eilat and not going any where in sinai you dont pay any border fees. Friendly staff Cons: moderate quality food not a five star specially dinner. There is nothing much to do in the area outside of the hotel only a couple of souvinears shop and a mini market.

We arrived with a recommendation and were disappointed The room was not clean There were problems with the electricity in the room The electricity kept jumping Although many inquiries in reception problems have not been addressed unfortunately The bed mattress was very uncomfortable A disappointing vacation.

Perfect holiday!

Great stay! Staff was awsome, high level of service. We took a bungalow just few meters from the beach, nothing compares.

if you take the half board you cant order any soft drink at breakfast or dinner except juices, cola and codas bevrage and beer that served at the dinner or breackfast every cup of 180ml is about 2$ and they charge for almost everything on top it was boring there was no activities or town near by i dont advice going to sinai overall not just this hotel

OMG We love this Hotel, the staff is amazing. Made us feel right at home. We were in the area for two weeks, we thought we would try another hotel in the area. BAD ID|EA right after checking in to the new hotel we decided NO and immediately went back to the Movenpick. The spa is wonderful, try the cleopatra treatment. From an American point of view the breakfast will seem unconventional, but dive in and experience different cultures (literally). Internet in every room around the property, English based TV, ETC....

This property is trying hard to be a five star resort but it's too big, too confusing, and too dirty. No one picked up the beach trash overnight ---maybe once every few days. They had very old, funky lounge chair pads, and only one beach bar was ever open. It's too spread out for that. But the snorkeling was exceptional, the beach long, the staff very nice --The dominant language is Arabic and only a few of the staff were competent in English. Our group didn't mind this, but a lot of people might.

All was great! Not my first stay. Service is great and so are the prices. Great food at the restaurants as well as at the breakfast. The staff are kind and smiling. Nothing bad to say

maintenance level is horrific. hotel food is not good enough. very hard to get satisfaction from breakfast. if you are not going with the all-inclusive deal, it will be hard to get lunch as not pool/beach restaurants exist.

Staff were fantastic asslways smiling and treated the place as though they loved it! from Kareem on reception to the staff that looked after the restaurant each day, very hospitable! Food outstanding wonderful relaxing place, perfect grounds I hope to be back! Also daily yoga all inclusive option fab food variety outstanding and excellent!! From morning to night!! Highly recommend!

Perfect stay at a beautiful resort on the beach

Beautiful resort with private beach, outdoor and indoor pools, extensive grounds, restaurants, etc. Helpful, attentive staff. The dive center arranged for me a beginner's scuba lesson and dive, which was a great experience. My dinner at Shahrazad was delicious. A perfect stay.

Everything was really great!

Just what we needed!

Movenpick Taba is a lovely resort, with beautiful grounds. The setting, with the fabulous Red Sea, the Jordanian mountains to the East and Egyptian hills to the West and North of the hotel, made for a dramatic, and inviting setting. The staff was really good! Well trained, smiles all around, eager to help, especially Mohksen, who went out of his way to see we had what we wanted. We booked the all inclusive (full board) package, as our primary need was rest. Rooms were very clean, as was every public area. Grounds were free of trash, flowers really lovely, a great beach (bring your 'beach shoes'-it wasn't completely sandy, and the bottom drops off fairly quickly as you walk from shore). But the water is so clear...next time more snorkeling, as there was so much underwater beauty to take in. However-aside from breakfast (very good-esp. pastries) the food was a bit less satisfying. Buffets are hard work. Visual presentation very well done (art carvings in fruits and vegetables were quite skilled!), but flavour was a bit bland for my taste. I also became ill after having the 'catch of the day' at the on-site restaurant "Sea Shells" on our last night (my wife and daughter were fine). My wife's 'surf and turf' consisted of some type of beef and small lobster tail. Neither was exemplary, in quality or quantity. My daughter's grilled shrimp was quite good! I will highly recommend Movenpick Taba to my friends, maybe with breakfast included, but choose lunch and dinner elsewhere!

GOOD: The Hotel is very close to the border (about 500 meter). Big and clean rooms, great nature view, swimming pool and sea beach. Friendly personal. BAD: Meal - Dinner poor meat menu, Breakfast - cold and not tasty sausages. Bar - wine from the box (the cheapest one). No sauna, no SPA indoor. There is SPA outdoor for very expansive price. Outside the hotel very dirty and no nothing (No shopping, no bars, no entertainment)

Movenpick Taba, Egypt great resort on the red sea.

My stay at the Movenpick in Taba, Egypt was fantastic. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable with a great view of the pools and red sea. Breakfast buffet was very good.I highly recomend this beautiful resort

Nice beach and pool but definitely not 5 stars

The beach and the pool are nice but the hotel is not a 5 stars hotel. Food is usually cold and with no taste. Drinks wise, there is no verity of beers and cocktails (1 of each) and plastic cups. I wouldn't recommend the all inclusive as there are too many items which are not included and therefore it misses the whole point.

Convenient location near Israeli border

If crossing the border from Israel, it is a great location within walking distance and very near the bus terminal if you plan to travel on to Dahab or Sharm a day or two later. Only negative was that there were so many loud boisterous people in the pool and also undisciplined kids running around during meal time in the buffet.

Bitter staff

The hotel is vast and nice and the some of the staff are nice. However overall the staff are downright nasty. Especially once you check out they refuse to acvomodate you even rushing out without helping you. The check in staff are terrible heaping on extra fees.

Pleasant resort experience

I stayed at another Movenpick resort years ago and decided to try this one for 3 nights while visiting Israel. From the Eilat bus station, it took 80 minutes to ride bus #15 to the border, exit Israel, enter Egypt, walk to the hotel, and get checked in. I showed my airplane ticket home from Tel Aviv to prove that I already paid the Israel exit fee, so there were no fees from either country. I opted for the half-board (buffet breakfast and dinner) option, which was a good thing because there's no place nearby the Resort to eat or buy snacks.

Taba Treasure

The staff at the Movenpick in Taba are all excellent! We were truly treated like 'family' ... lots of smiles & greetings from everyone! We chose the half-board option and were glad that we did ... a buffet breakfast & dinner that was never 'boring'. Overall the facilities were excellent - though it was too cold for us to take advantage of the outdoor pools ... we DID lounge around on the super-clean beach (groomed daily) and managed to bask in the Sinai Sun!

Fabulous Resort on the Sea

I am from the USA. My daughter and I stayed here three nights. We felt safe and were treated like royalty. The room was big, the view was beautiful, and the staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. I highly recommend staying at this resort! Be sure to book the correct number of guests and I recommend the half (breakfast and dinner) or full board (three meals a day).

Short but sweet stay

The room was very comfortable with a nice view of the pools and the Red Sea from the balcony. The food was interesting and plentiful. Even though I traveled solo, I noticed the many families with children having a fun time. The staff, including security, could have not been more accommodating.

Badly managed, bad option

Movenpick Taba is by far one of the worst options to chose. It is located next to the Hilton Hotel on the border of Israel ( Eilat city ). Not much to do other than staying in the hotel. The hotel is not clean. I took the " all inclusive " option but the food was dirty and seemed not fresh. My wife throw up a couple of times after eating the food and has still stomach pain. I wouldnt go there again and would advise you the same.

Taba Egypt resort

Good place to stay for relaxation weekend to enjoy swimming pool, spa and beach tan. take all inclusive otherwise there is no place to have drink or food (buffet meal and drink are all free with all inclusive) . food are average and alcoholic drinks are not really alcoholic! take your vodka and whiskey bottle with you from the dutyfree. will visit again.

From reception to check our, the hotel staff were kind and helpful, we got a room upgrade, which we loved. The beach area is clean and well taken care of. The services at the spa were wonderful. the food was good and plenty.
