Lovely hotel, but it's significantly cheaper to get a cab from the street than from the hotel.
Nice stay
.
Good but small bathrooms
The people degrade you. If you are not of Muslim religion it’s very hard
The staff were nice and always smiling, the hotel was overall clean and spacious, the adults pool was nice and empty, and they let us stay a bit longer for late checkout. However we wouldn't rate this as 5 stars hotel or stay here again as we are disappointed by a few things, the facilities are old, the room balcony is not private- and the sea view room we paid for was not really close to the sea. There were too many pigeons around the hotel including the pool which is not hygienic, the breakfast buffet was the same everyday and the food was not always fresh, it took the staff more than 40 minutes to get us Cappuccino after asking 3 times and it wasn’t even a real Cappuccino, the next day they forgot to bring the omelette we ordered and we ended up giving up- i would recommend to get coffee and omelette by waiting in line instead or ordering at the table. The hotel have a policy of not letting in any food or drinks from outside and searching bags, they charged us way too extra for it, although we wanted to bring it to the room. I have never seen this in any of the hotels i stayed in around the world. If they want people to buy drinks and food from the hotel it needs to be improved with lower prices!
Good but..
The hotel was very good and in down town aqaba which is great that it’s near everywhere else but why the hotel is still using pepsi and nestle while they are boycotted. And the food at breakfast is not fresh.
Very good value for the price
Though the check in was uneasy, all else was great. The staff were incredibly helpful and courteous. Aqaba is a beautiful, clean and friendly city that we always enjoy coming back to.
Disappointing for most expensive hotel on our trip
Check in very slow and 1 desk open, rooms dated and need investment, air conditioning noisy and not very effective
Great location in Aqaba as the Hotel sits across from the water with a second level enclosed causeway that connects to the waterfront pools, restaurants and sandy beach. The hotel is well appointed with great staff and amenities. In fact, my son was seen by the hotel’s doctor and treated within 30 minutes of our call to the front desk - excellent attentive service.
Great place to stay in Aqaba
Wonderful stay at a very well-run hotel with excellent amenities. Spacious suite that the receptionist gave us as a free upgrade. Helpful unobtrusive staff. Used the lap pool every morning and enjoyed the beach in the evening. Food excellent.

Outstanding Service
Perfect Hotel! My stay at this hotel was truly impressive. The staff's hospitality was excellent, and they went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was a positive experience. They were always friendly, courteous, and ready to assist with any questions or requests I had. The room I stayed in was exceptionally pleasant. It was clean, well-organized, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bed was comfortable, and the atmosphere in the room was soothing and enjoyable. The room amenities included entertainment options, a television, comfortable chairs, and more - everything needed to feel at home. The hotel is located in an excellent location. It is close to restaurants, cafes, shops, and tourist attractions. I had easy access to explore the beautiful and captivating city. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, and I'm sure I will return in the future. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant, clean, and well-located accommodation.
We love our stay at the Movenpick in Aqaba, Jordan. A true 5 star experience.
Beautiful hotel!
We had such a lovely and relaxing stay in this beautiful hotel! The staff was so friendly welcoming and professional; our rooms were amazing! We enjoyed swimming in the Red Sea as well as in the swimming pools; the restaurants served delicious food. The inside of the hotel and the outside are stunningly beautiful!! I wish we could have stayed longer!
Movenpics you stole my heart
I didn't want to leave... ❤️
It’s a nice resort with a lot of potential. It was extremely clean and especially my room was spotless- love the housekeeping staff. While the restaurant and front desk staff were fantastic, they were understaffed in the afternoon and evening every day I was there, which meant waiting excessively long times to get a drink and meals during peak hours for happy hour and dinner and check in time. The staff was very gracious to go as fast as possible. The resort needs to look into short staffing and also some other things like the room temperature could not be cooler than 25 degrees when it was very hot outside making it too warm to properly sleep. Also the pool attendants and landscapers were not very accommodating to guests. Landscaping was spraying for bugs during the midafternoon right around guests. That is toxic chemicals which should be done very early morning or at night.
The staff are all excellent. Very efficient, helpful & kind. Special acknowledgement to Mustafa & Baraa at the reception desk. Both went out of their way to resolve some issues. Cecelia in the Lobby Bar is so kind, professional & efficient. She needs more help during happy hour, but she did a great job. Jeandelle who works at the Turkish Restaurant & breakfast is very professional, courteous & effective. All of the staff are to be commended for their excellent service & work ethic. Thank you.
Beautiful rock and tile building, lots of pools, nice beach although few minutes walk with stairs through hotel’s interior bridge/hall over the road. Food excellent, nice bar/lounge with 7:00 happy hour.
Good location
The hotel is in a good location. It is older than its more upscale hotel neighbors. The breakfast service is problematic. The hotel should set-up a self-serve coffee station and 'egg station' so staff are available to clear and reset tables rather than running for coffee and egg orders. clear, fish lines should be strung across the upstairs pool to prevent the birds from gathering at the pool.
I booked city view room, but the gentleman named Omar at the reception upgraded me to a sea view room, it was great and bright room, and he also offered me a late checkout. I loved the level of the customer service service
We had an amazing time in Aqaba! This hotel is very well located and close to many restaurants and sites. The amenities at the hotel (pool, private beach, etc.) were also amazing. The staff was very friendly and helped us in booking our various day trips. I'd definitely stay there again and recommend it!
The wi-fi sometiimes is very slowly, no any problem here
What I liked was the general accommodation and facilities like the beach, bar..etc. What I didn’t like and the reason why I have an overall low score are as follows: 1) Cleaning staff noisy when it comes to opening and closing room doors during cleaning hours. On all days I stayed, I was unable to take naps after breakfast because the cleaning staff kept on opening the adjacent rooms doors and leaving to slam closed very loudly. This happened repeatedly despite me bringing this to their attention. 2) Screening of my bags to determine if I had brought any outside alcohol or anything else. I had brought alcohol for consumption during my trip (wine, beer…etc) which was more than just Aqaba. After check-in, I was called by hotel reception/security advising me that they found alcohol in my luggage and that if I wanted to bring it in, I’d have to pay a surcharge!! I eventually had to take the stuff to my car. I’ve been to many hotels around the world where they officially don’t allow outside stuff (but don’t mind if in room and not in plain view), however, Movenpick Aqaba is the first hotel where I was treated almost like a criminal!! I mean if I went shopping, were they also gonna check my bags to confirm no outside alcohol/beverages/food? Completely ridiculous!!! Everything other than that was great!!
Room was comfortable and spacious. Close to town for access to shops and restaurants. However, breakfast was inadequate - not enough space for the number of people, and food quality and choice was average to poor. Tea and coffee particularly revolting. We also stayed at other Movenpick in area (Tala bay) and the food there was better. Other issue was that we deliberately stayed in a residence with kitchen facillities (because we have young children who need to eat at awkward times) and there was no equipment at all - no cutlery, no plates, nothing. We were also told we were not able to bring any food into the hotel - so what is the point of offering residence with kitchen facilities?
Very good overall. Highly recommended
Royalty
As part of the check in conversation at reception we discussed we had driven the huge distance from Azraq. To make our stay more comfortable because of the drive we were upgraded to a suite. It was bigger than the floorplan of our entire house. Everybody was extremely helpful and treated us like royalty. It was only an overnight stay but we wished it could have been longer. The main things were perfect; the bed was so comfy and the firmness spot on, the shower excellent, and the three balconies? Well, that’s just too much. Fantastic choice for breakfast too.
Adult only pool
Excellent Hotel!!!
Excellent Hotel!!!
Good location and excellent stay
It was an excellent experience
It’s was good
It was a honeymoon for us and the front desk employee made it very remarkable for us and made our experience there very pleasant.
You should respect all customers especially Jordanian Front desk staff were very nice but cleaning staff were all bad disrespectful to all of us talking to my members of family as they are staying there for free . You should act like 5 star hotels
Very risky stay, if you have a car. They have a hydraulic barrier at the entrance it is so tricky, in my last stay they staff told me to move my car and enter, the barrier was down and once I am near the barrier it started to moving up and hit my car, it was impossible for me to seeing moving up from the ground, unfortunately the Hotel didn't take any responsibility on this accident, even though the staff told me to move my car, it costs me $1800 to fix my car, I learned from them that this accidents happened many times before, at some time a guest had to pay the hotel $5600 to fix the broken barrier for them. Although I describe myself as loyal customer for this Hotel, they didn't want to take any responsibility. I was very disappointed, and I would never stay again there.
The reception could not have been more helpful
very good place inside the city it was a high season and they handled it very well
Great experince
Great experience. Wonderful hotel to stay.
Movenpick Aqaba review
Great location, lovely staff. Did not like the buffet breakfast - only one choice of cereal and milk had to be requested. No toaster. Tried evening buffet - all food was cold except that freshly cooked on the grill. Lovely bar, swimming pools and grounds all very clean.
No.1 hotel for Aqaba
Fanatstic hotel, with a an extra bit of luxury. Nice open reception and next to a comfortable large lounge area for relaxing and having a drink. Everything you could possibly want for breakfast was available. Served in singular little dishes so you could just pick what you wanted. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I was fortunate to have a sea view room which was amazing to wake up to. The pools look clean and lifeguards on standy by. Great if you have a family. The private beach is so clean and relaxing and has a great hotel restaurant right at the sands edge. The hotels location is also very practical. Its over the road from the sea, and a short work to a modern restaurant complex. Behind the hotel is the hustle and bustle of Aqaba which is full of great restaurants and a nice vibe for walking round in yhe evening. Also, the bus station is about a 3 minute walk away which allows you to take day trips for very reasonable prices from almost the front of the hotel.
Recommended - would return
Great hotel, lovely, extremely well-kept gardens, pools and private beach. Comfortable, great facilites and excellent breakfast.
Thé room itself was nice enough but the service is just not up to snuff. Check in takes forever. You have to go through two levels of security to enter. They hassle you about bringing in even coke and chips to eat as snacks. The pool and beach are only available until dark- in the winter this is 4 pm. I would definitely not stay here again.
It says there is shuttle service to airport, but it is only for certain airlines. Hotel is nice but rooms really shabby unfortunately.
Lovely hotel with very helpful staff
For a really relaxed weekend away!
Amazing stay in the center of town at walking distance to restaurants and shopping area. Beautiful pool with direct access to the beach. Wonderfully decorated hotel, clean, attentive and friendly staff. Great in-house dining with view of the Red Sea and surrounding mountains. Fluffy cushions.
Cleanliness level was below the 5 star hotel , the bathroom need to be reconstructed again and again too much broken floors and the bathtub have a sharp edges due to old construction, overall experience was bad due to noisemakers level from the workers in the same floor trying to clean the other rooms , breakfast experience was also below the 5 star also the workers in the ground of breakfast area needs a lot of experience on how to deal with the customer also the plates need to renewed
Good overall in spite of it's age still has a lot of charm
Phenomenal
Everything was phenomenal! We got an upgrade to a suprior deluxe for free. The staff were extremely nice and professional. The room was clean, and in great shape.
Very pleasant
Very friendly and helpful staff. We got a little upgrade upon arrival, which we were very happy about. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfy. Our stay was very pleasant from checkin to checkout. The only slight headache we had was trying to figure out which power outlet was paired to which light and light switch in order to charge our devices. Not a fault of the hotel but of our fellow guests: we were baffled by the amount of food waste that many of the guests managed to generate. I hope this waste is somehow put to good use.
Slow service
Hotel was mediocre overall, not a five star by any means, the breakfast service was atrocious, the waiters were all confused and every item had to be ordered three or four times from different waiters until it came half an hour later
Excellent experience
It was wonderful Helpful staff Great breakfast
Nice hotel with big pools and a large private beach. We were full board and the food was consistently delicious for all 3 daily meals. Their fried fish fish was especially yummy. The location is perfect in downtown Aqaba.
It was super clean, staff were nice but due to COVID19 condition, the staff are at the minimum and services maybe a bit delayed
The property was undergoing renovations during my stay.
Access to the beach and the staff friendliness and professionality are commendable
Great view. Nice beach. Friendly staff. Good restaurants.
Lawrence the front office clerk is the most professional and nicest guy ever. He made our stay with while
Very clean, good food, the staff is very efficient and responsive. For some reason it seemed that I entered a negative review upon check in. It was not my intention, can you delete it?
The hotel team were more than emazing, and professionals, and all services was great
One of people who work there walked in to our room.
Good location hotel downtown Aqaba
The hotel is centrally located in downtown Aqaba. The room had a nice size as well as the bathroom. I could not enjoy the pool or the beach due to really bad weather. And was only able to had one breakfast instead for the 4 initially booked, because of Covid-19 and need to return to my home country. The breakfast choice is nice, tables were clean and service efficient. I tried the scrambled eggs but unfortunately they were merely lukewarm. Croissant was fresh and really nice. It would have been nice to have fresh orange juice instead of canned juice.
Top-grade resort, amazing service, great amenities, and very well located. Access to private beach is very easy. To nitpick, I would say there is a lot of trash on the sea floor in the swimming area of the beach. It could use a cleaning operation. Overall, very clean and first-class resort. Would book again in an instant.
A great stay
Really enjoyed our stay here - great facilities and excellent service
Amazing hotel (would deserve 6 stars)
Outstanding hotel and very helpful staff. The pools are excellent and so is the food. Our family loved it.
For a 5 star hotel the beach area and restaurants were average at best. Decor in room was below par with no offer of a change despite hotel being almost empty. Work started on renovating room opposite us whilst we were there. Staff, however, were wonderful.
Bad experience
Wasn’t good at all The quality of people who were at the beach were too low class , Couldn’t believe that they have let drunk men wearing their dishdasha to be on the beach , Another 3 men were at the beach just flirting with ladies and the guard and waiters were laughing and smiling to those people . The hotel management must work on the quality of people who can be resident at their place
Good access to a private beach, nice pool and jacuzzi, friendly staff. The air conditioning had been turned off for winter but we needed it as the room was really hot at night. The fan was noisy so couldn't sleep with it on..we were advised by staff to open the window which didnt really help and made the room noisy.
Great location to walk around the town
We checked in and out on three separate occasions during our visit to Jordan and all the rooms were good. The only slight complaint was the air con in our last room 616 which didn't really work very well. The food in the buffet restaurant was ok, although a bit repetitive but we would definitely stay again. The private beach was a real bonus at the end of the day sightseeing.
Overall pleasant!
It was a 1 day stay and overall it was very pleasing. The only thing that I didn’t enjoy was the rudeness of the lady in the check in counter.
V friendly accommodating staff Good location Nice pool area
GREAT hotel
This hotel really is great. Pros Location right next to the town Pool and gardens Private beach area. Staff and customer service were amazing. always happy to help, friendly and smiling. Buffet breakfast. Cons The indoor pool was closed for maintenance. The food and drink is expensive in comparison to most of Agaba. Despite the cons i would definitely stay here again if we came to Aqaba
everything was great .. except that beside us there was a a smokers room although we request to be in side where there is no smokers the cardior smell somking
The staff here are very polite, friendly and efficient. I found there to be a wide range of food on offer. All the dishes I Tried were delicious. I also made use of the beach. It was clean and well maintained. If you intend to visit Petra the hotel is conveniently located next door to the bus station where buses leave for petra daily.
Fabulous stay in Aqaba
Movenpick is a beautiful resort. We were warmly welcomed by Lawrence; received a room upgrade to a palatial suite and enjoyed the views of the Red Sea. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time for breakfast - it is an absolute feast. Only downside of the resort is that the pool and beach close at 5pm during the winter season - makes sense as that is when the sunsets, but we would have happily stayed in the pool and jacuzzi.
The hotel was amazing. Good location, 2 heated pools, sauna and jacuzzi. We spend a very relaxing days and probably we’ll come back next year to Movenpick.
A bit dated, quite expensive, dirty bathroom
Bathroom was dirty (hair and other stuff in the bath tub, wall was greasy), bed linen felt quite basic, overall a ‘early 90s’ feel to it. Not great. Quite expensive for what it is.
Nice hotel in a so so location
Nice hotel but not the best locations. Their sister hotel in Tala Bay is much nicer. Breakfast was great and I highly recommend it. Try all the local foods.
ATTENTION!! if you a family with one child, choose the option of 3 adults over wise they will charge you for extra bed. every thing else was OK, very beautiful outdoor warm pool, good location and warm service.
Great place to stay in Aqaba.
Loved this place. Great amenities. Within walking distance to the city center.
Very friendly staff, clean, nice view, high security, will meet your expectations.
I just loved my stay at the Mövenpick Hotel. Having booked a deluxe room with king bed, I was upgraded to a suite with a stunning double balcony with views over Aqaba and the sea. I also paid to upgrade my stay to include dinner in the Palm Court restaurant each night. The service in the hotel was superb, whether you're in the restaurant, the bar, in reception or at the pool. The staff are a credit to the hotel: always friendly and willing to help. The facilities in the hotel are vast including a spa, ice cream shop and bakery, pubs and bars, numerous swimming pools, beautiful well-tended gardens and a decent beach for swimming and sunbathing. The hotel has a large multi-storey car park and security here is good. I've stayed in Mövenpick hotels in Egypt, the middle-east and Asia and they are always a delight.
Staff and facilities are excellent rooms were very clean great variety of choice at breakfast
I liked that it had a beach, but did not like that we had to cross a bridge to get there (ie. the property is severed by a main avenue that passes smack down the middle of this resort).
Amazing place and stuff. Very clean and beautiful design. Very good food. No complaints. We had perfect vacation in Aqaba
We were 3 people: a couple ana a kid under the age of 16. We got 2 single bed and we had to ask for another one. Thay wanted to charge us for more money even though we were paying for 3 people and asked to add more for breakfast even though we paid for it . It took a while before we got the room. The third bed was not comfortable ( too small ) and thay didn't want to change the room
[] I wanted to cancel my reservation and you didn't accept [] : my cancelation
AC is really hard to use, other than that, all is awesome. stuff, cleaness and the amenities.
Worth a visit!
We had an amazing stay...from a complimentary room upgrade to a lovely evening with a hookah. Highly recommend.
Clean room, very comfy bed and pillows, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful beach and pool. good breakfast but was busy. Would recommend the hotel for a nice beach holiday.
Reception was not helpful in modifying my booking without charging an absurd fee. On top of that, I woke up up to bed bugs eating me alive. Absolutely worst hotel experience. I’ll never stay at one of these again.
Very nice for family and kids, various swimming options, very big swimming pools with lifeguards.
Amazing service, facilities and location
The hotel is on the best location in Aqaba. Has an amazing service, I would definitely book again when I’m next in Aqaba
Five star
Excellent vacation time, close to everything in asana city, restaurants, shopping, parks, and a mosque.
Nice location and the suit was very private and spacious. My kids had a blast
It was just a great place to stay, perfect for relaxing after touring around Jordan, facilities and staff were great, restaurants excellent, we just had a great time here, 100% recommended
The property is simply great! the staff are wonderful, the Assistant Front Office Manager Esraa Istanbuli is very professional and kind. Chef Lara and the kitchen staff are so kind
Good place Adults pool not clean Room service cup of ice not free!
Great experience :)
Had a great stay here and would highly recommend it. The resort is huge, with several pools and a beach, and several restaurants. It's set up in consideration of all guests (i.e. children are encouraged to use one pool so there is one where a bit more peace can be sought) and the service we got here was great. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

It was amazing, one of my favorites hotels in Aqaba with clean beach and in the city center
