The property was very clean and upscale. They had a breakfast option (we didn’t use) but that looked wonderful with a good selection of fresh food items. Drinks were served downstairs near reception and it was a very comfortable and cozy environment with different seating areas with a variety of options. The receptionists were helpful, fluent in English and German, and very professional.

Good hotel for a quick stay, just out of the main area

Lack of room Amenities

The room was small, clean, quiet, but lacked any amenities. We chose not to have the breakfast, but the room had no coffee / tea maker or fridge. The bathroom just had a bottle of combined shampoo/ soap, which was empty for stay, even though I left the lid off it the shower, so make sure you bring everything you need. The location was a convenient 10 minute tram ride from the center, and right next to a large grocery store.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, provided maps and instructions on sightseeing in Salzburg. Overall it was great experience

Nice hotel with cosy ambience

The foyer is very comfortable and it's possible to sort there in the evenings and have a drink. The decor is modern and welcoming. The room was nice and a great shower. The bed was huge like a really big kingsize bed. It's close to the city with buses that literally stopped outside the door. A day bus pass was only 4.50€ so you could go back and forth as much as you wanted. I felt the breakfast was pricey at 32€ for a couple.but it was a good breakfast

Positive points : Clean , polite and welcoming staff , next to the public transportation , safe quiet area , next to a hyper market. Negative points : expensive , no fridge, no telephone, no coffe or tea maker , no iron in hotel at all ! , the air conditioner was not running well . The bathroom was too small

Good staff and nice design of the room

Good value hotel

This hotel was in close proximity to a course I was taking nearby. I spent ten days here. The property is clean, in close proximity to a grocery store (with a cafe), and several restaurants. The air conditioning was somewhat present, but was unable to keep up with the 90-100 temperatures in July.

Great hotel , very clean and modern ,shops are literally across the car park ,with a great indian restaurant. There was a mix up as i was asked to pay for drinks in the morning, which im sure i paid the night befor and he would only take cash .appart from that great hotel

What an unexpected bargain! The hotel was very clean, staff friendly, great underground parking so we felt safe leaving stuff in our car. We arrived pretty late and hung out in the lobby bar for a quick dinner (curry grilled cheese for the win!) and cocktails. Whoever designed the lobby bar did a phenomenal job! *tip- within a few minutes walk of the hotel is one of the homes they used for filming in the Sound of Music!

It was nicely designed and the underground parking was vey convenient. Dinner options were limited in the neighborhood and breakfast was OK. Nothing special. The room was small, especially the bath but the shower was good. No coffee in the room.

Wonderful

The hotel was amazing. The reception staff are kind and welcoming, they were also the bartenders who did a wonderful job. Great breakfast. Clean and tidy everywhere. Bus stops 5 steps from the hotel to both the city and towns outside of Salzburg.

Great hotel,very modern. Front desk staff are very helpful, both with flexible check in, easy check out, and availaibility of paying with cash on the day of check in.

Excellent stay

The hotel was just in front of the bus stop, so it was very convenient to travel around. The staff was kind and helpful in answering our questions. The bar/lounge area was the best place to spend drinking coffee or relaxing. It was really cozy. The room was clean, spacious, and and had all we needed in our stay. There is a grocery store behind the hotel too.

Motel One Salzburg made me feel like home as soon I stepped through the lobby door. The staff was very welcoming, cleanliness was great, and the overall ambient is top notch. It's located a few kilometers out of a city center which I was looking for so I could avoid the crowded city center and hop on the highway faster. Also, I would like to compliment staff kindness that welcomed me upon my arrival.

All is Ok, very good brekfast, very good hotel

Adequate

Third time I have stayed in a Motel One. Good check-in, nice lobby area, very comfortable bed. Good location for bus into Strasbourg. The room was a bit small with minimalist furnishings. I think it is a bit overpriced ..in my opinion it is in the Ibis, holiday express, even travellodge range which are generally better value for money. Hotel Max 70 in Salzburg for example is a bit better and cheaper. Not sure I will be staying in this chain again, sorry.

Cute and unique Hotel

Very nice hotel, kind of far from old town, but it was very unique and an overall very pleasant stay

Great hotel with a supermarket nearby

Housekeeping was great but 1 of the staff at the reception was not too friendly.

Comfortable basic hotel

Nice clean comfortable hotel. On bus line into Salzburg, about 10min ride or 40min walk. We did both. ig range buffet breakfast. Only problem was they couldn’t separate queen beds into singles for our young adult children.

Great property and hotel. Only negative is its distance from the city center. But that distance is reflected in the very reasonable price

Three nights in Salzberg

Excellent hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were contemporary designs and very clean. Enjoyed the breakfasts and a few drinks in the bar. Location across from city buses and downtown about 3 miles away. Parking available under the hotel with elevator access for a small fee. Very casual and reasonable priced restaurants within walking distance.

Salzburg-Sud

The staff were friendly and most helpful. The location is great as there is a market right behind and Hofer in walking distance. The bus stop for most lines is right out front so accessing most of the city landmarks was a breeze. The rooms are basic (no fridge, Etc) but are comfortable and well designed.

Excellent hotel. Breakfast was deliciousness. Most staff were great and helpful, but we found a couple of staff rude. They ignored us at the reception desk and we were left there while they walked past us several times and looked they other way. While ordering drinks as well, the guy decided to serve someone else although he was aware I had been standing there waiting first. I found it a bit strange. The room was spotless and very cosy, plus we had a view of the mountains which was perfect.

Really just a Motel? This is a high quality hotel, great beds, new and modern rooms and close to everything. Amazing!

Excellent Property and Staff

Fantastic

This is a clean, modern, functional hotel in South Salzburg, away from the touristy center and situated along a local neighborhood strip. It's great for short, overnight stays if you don't need to do much other than sleep in a well-maintained, safe area. The staff is very polite and helpful, and the property is priced very reasonably.

Das Hotel war nicht voll in der Nacht, daher hätte ich mir gewünscht ein Zimmer zu bekommen, dass nicht an der Alpenstraße ist sondern zum Parkplatz raus.

Great hotel well located on the outskirts of Salzburg. Very clean. Easy direct bus ride to downtown. Good paid parking in either an outside lot close by or underground. Elevator. Modern room which is going to be renovated again shortly. Shower. Good breakfast. Main floor bar with inside and outside seating. Excellent supermarket adjacent to hotel.

The hotel is good for traveler to stay Iit is far away city center, but is nearly bus station line 3 and 8

A lovely hotel within 20 minute bus ride to the city centre €4 for a 24 hr bus pass great value. Considering the hotel being fully booked(police due to EU summit) there was no noise in corridor at any time. Continental breakfast was ok if only basic

Very accessible to the bus as the stop is right in front of the hotel. There is a grocery right behind the hotel where you can grab breakfast. Hotel lent us an umbrella to use for the day as it was rainy. Overall a good stay.

The staff were friendly and inviting. They gave us great restaurant recommendations and and attractions. The only problem was the WIFI, it was slow and hard to connect to.

Nice and Simple!

Nice place not too far from the center. You can catch the bus, taxi or walk along the river to get there. Place was clean and modern at a good price in comparison to other options in the area. Recommend and would stay again.

Good value for money

Typical Motel One quality and experience. Comfortable bed, towels, bath products. Next to a bus stop for easy access to the city center. Breakfast was a super crowded free-for-all but for the money I would recommend the grocery store directly behind the hotel where you can create your own meal at half the cost.

Family A European Experience

Great value for money, it was modern, clean and tidy and we enjoyed the bar downstairs. Great breakfast, one of the best on our 4 week holiday but we were pleased we came down to breakfast a bit earlier - by about 9.30am it was packed. The hotel was a little out of town, it was not walkable which would have been the only downside. There was a supermarket opposite which was really handy, would definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel with good transport links

Good transport links to the city centre (trams 3 & 8), all-night bar, decent rooms (though they lack mini-bar and kettle).

Practical hotel

This hotel is accessible to public transportation. Bus stop is just in front of the hotel. You can get bus number 3 from Salzburg Hbf and it goes directly to the hotel which is Polizeidirektion bus stop. Hotel can arrange your tour with Panoramic Tours Company and payment can be made at the hotel itself. Not much selection for breakfast but McDonalds is 5 mins away by foot and with so much variety for breakfast. There’s a supermarket at the back of the hotel. Hotel is just 10 mins bus ride from city center. Fast wifi. What I didn’t like about my stay is that the hotel doesn’t have mini bar in the room. Also, when we came back from our tour at around 2pm the room hasn’t been clean yet. We were so exhausted that we just asked the housekeeping to empty the trash bin so we can rest.

Great place to stay!

We were visiting from the US, stayed here for 5 nights, and had a fantastic stay. The hotel staff was helpful, insisting that we take umbrellas with us out to explore Salzburg on a rainy day. They were right, we needed them, our rain jackets would not have been enough. We were grateful they borrowed them to us, we didn’t have to purchase them on our trip. We originally booked 4 nights, and we were able to extend our stay an extra night. The rooms were clean and updated, the bed was comfortable. I would defiantly stay here again. It is also located near a bus stop, a grocery store & restaurant which was very convenient.

Motel One Salzburg

Rooms were very hot. Opened door/window to busy street. Parking underground was about €8 a night plus whatever breakfast was. When comparing to family run hotels I think you are better off going there. Motel One is for single business people on the go.

Modern Hotel

Very impressed with the Hotel modern facilities and easy access to public transport.

Lovely view of the mountains in Salzburg. Very convenient location for going to city centre, and Hauptbahnhof. There's a grocery store and a small mall within minutes. Modern facilities, affordable breakfast and very clean room/ hotel.

Very Helpful Staff, Amazing Breakfast, Great Room!

The staff was fantastic, helping us plan our days in the city when asked. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! The location was great as well - easily able to connect into downtown by bus and far enough away to have a bit of downtime away from the bustle of tourists. The hotel was chic and lovely in design and everything was very clean. Far above what we expected!

There was a lack of hanging space, only one uncomfortable chair and a stool. Wifi was slow and restricted to 3 units only. Excellent supermarket opposite and good free parking.

We stayed there with my wife for 3 nights. The place was very nice decorated, really enjoying! The lobby was very nice and their bar/cafe was good and kind of cheap. The room was small but nice. Nice welcome gift. Bathroom was nice set. We had a car so our movement was easy, without a car I don't know how will it be. There was a bus passing in front of the building though.

Clean hotel, not too far from the city

A nice clean hotel. Very cosy and comfortable rooms. Good location, supermarket next door, handy to have underground parking as was snowing a lot while we were there, nice not to have to scrap snow off the car before leaving.

Great Staff, Ambiance

I enjoyed the helpful staff as well as the 24 hour lounge experience. Although the hotel is south of the old city center, it's really a non-issue, as a major bus stop is directly in front of the hotel. Ten minutes to old town and you never wait more than ten minutes. If you're seeing a number of typical sites, simply purchase a Salzburg Card on arrival, which covers your transit needs as well.

A wonderful stay

This hotel had everything we needed. The tram stopped right in front of the hotel, so it was easy to get around. there is a supermarket behind the hotel. We bought a few things for breakfast and it was perfect. There is also a McDonalds nearby for people who want a cheaper breakfast that is also hot. Salzburg is an amazing city! This hotel made everything easy! There are also 2 Sound of Music locations nearby. The Frohnburg Palace, that was used as the backdrop for the Von Trapp family home in every scene that does not involve the lake, is right down the street. We also walked from the hotel, down Hellbrunner Allee to Schloss Hellbrunn. That is where the gazebo from the movie is located. It also had fantastic trick water fountains.

It is a convenient hotel if you drive. It is not far from the city centre, and it is just 10 mins away from the Schloss Hellbrunn - a must go place in Salzburg!

Nice suburban hotel

Hotel is a great little newer hotel. It is quite a walk into town- about 3.5 KM. Staff were helpful and friendly

Excellent accommodation in Salzburg

The room was compact but very clean and comfortable. There was no fridge or tea/coffee making but this may be the norm for Europe. There was parking under the hotel and a bus stop in front of the hotel. The bus took 10 mins to get to the centre of Salzburg. Staff at the hotel were very helpful.

Salburg sparse

Appears to be a fairly new hotel - staff very accommodating - room is small and very sparse - strange 'chair' - probably best suited to a single business person - two people would have been very cramped in the room. Almost too sterile - lacks any warmth in the decor. I would use it again - the price was fair and it was in the neighborhood where I was doing business.

The location is a bit out of city. However, it is compensated with a fairly efficient bus service to town and train station. Overall experience was good. Thank you.

Beautiful Salsburg

We stayed for two nights. It is not walking distance from town but the bus service is right across the street and the receptionist were very helpful. Would stay again.

Bare bones!

This room reminded us of a college dorm room or a travel trailer. Very basic, but clean and convenient.

Convenient location

Good, economical hotel near Salzburg

Everything went well - it was in the colony Hotel use for two nights during our visit in Saulsburg. The breakfast cost extra, but proved to be quite worthwhile, so it was a good value. Easy GPS drive to underground parking.

Super deal for the price

The staff were very kind, including allowing us to borrow a power adapter. They have a large box so ask if you need an extra or forgot yours. The WiFi doe get a little clogged late in the evening when everyone is on so do your checking in at home or just walk down a couple of minutes to McCafe (upscale McDonalds) and have an amazing coffee and incredible dessert. Also, eat at the cafe/grocery store right behind the hotel but so it before they close at 7pm. And if you want PB&J, Euorpeans apparently do not share our love of the PB part so only expect one or two choices. Loved the choice with a city bus stop right outside (#3) for only $79 a night.

Clean, convenient and good value

Out of the city wnhich we prefer but very easy to take the bus right outside the door and very frequent service. Also a place to purchase bus tickets during the daytime hours right across the street for a slightly reduced price. The breakfast was average but plentiful and fresh and convenient. The grocery store next door was also handy for a light supper or snacks. Hotel is getting a bit worn looking but still in decent shape and was very good value for money. Would stay again.

Nice Hotel with access to public transportation.

Nice hotel that has bus stop out front for easy access to downtown Salzburg. Has free WiFi. You can book tours at the front desk and the tour operator picks you up at the hotel. Be careful and make sure the front desk gives you your tour tickets to take with you!

Nice hotel near to bus parking

great overall experience. Bus to old city that is free with salzburg card is less than 10 min and stops right outside the hotel. There is also a bank right next door to the hotel to exchange money and a grocery store right behind the hotel. The rooms are small but very clean with ac and the bathroom is very clean and nice which is important to me bc I hate dirty bathrooms.

modern and clean

This hotel is about 30 minutes walk from the city, but the bus station is right in front of hotel. Rooms are clean, air conditioned. Great service. Breakfast Could be improved, if you are staying for a few days the same good gets annoying. Super market is also next door.

Hotel just out of town

A very good hotel as you would want/expect. Very convenient for the bus into town.

Cold Professionalism

Hotel staff were professional, however there were a two reception staff members who came across as extremely cold. In a part of the world where the undercurrent of racism is felt strongly, I believe those in the service industry should take extra measures to be warm and welcoming. The hotel fell short in this respect with those particular staff members, which is a pity because it is one of only two things that I did not like about the hotel. Unfortunately it was a big thing that would cause me not to recommend this hotel. There is a supermarket next door, which is excellent and a little food corner inside with excellent breakfast offers for under €5. There is free parking at the hotel and efficient transportation to all the important tourist destinations. No coffee and tea making facilities in room.

Nice hotel within easy journey into town

This hotel is not in the centre of Salzburg, however it is very easy to get into town and back, on the number 3 and 8 buses, which come about every 10 minutes. Our room was basic, as expected, but very clean and modern. The only extra item I would add is tea/coffee making facilities- it's nice to have a cuppa before going down for breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we bought our Salzburg cards and our tickets for the Sound of Music tour from them, and they also helped us with bus times for the Salzburg Arena. There is a supermarket with a restaurant at the back of the hotel, which was where we got our breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anybody.

Fine, modern with convenient parking

The hotel was fine. Very modern and sleek with a lobby that felt snazzy. The room was fairly small and sparsely furnished, but also modern. I gave a low mark for cleanliness because there was a plastic spoon on the floor, barely behind the chair. It made me feel like the cleaning job wasn't very thorough. Also, no hand soap in the bathroom (only shampoo/body wash). TV had a couple of english-language channels, which I appreciated. You have to pay to park in the garage but there was a lot a block away by a football field with plenty of free parking that we were directed to. There's a bus that goes to the center of town. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel and were disappointed to find that the grocery store next door is closed on Sundays.

Comfortable and very conveniently located

Nice hotel. Funky decor. Decent priced buffet breakfast. Across the parking lot from a decent grocery store. A short walk away from a local park and grounds connecting to Helbrun. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Good option if you go to Salzburg on budget

Good hotel 15-minutes driving distance from the centre. No frills - but well thought through design.
