Great staff and great breakfast/food. Staff was incredibly helpful with coordinating my stay. The property was beautiful with amazing views and great photos. My room was clean and charming. The area was good but a bit inconvenient since it was a bit isolated.

Very disappointing. Didn’t seem anything like 5 star- not sure how they got. 5 star rating. Tried to switch our room- had to convince them to give us the room we purchased. The beds were very uncomfortable and AC barely worked ! I would never stay there again.

This hotel is just beautiful. Great for taking pictures both inside the property and from the hotel's view - specially when ballons are up in the early morning. Room was very clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that I couldn't connect to the wifi or to my own mobile data while in the room, only in the common areas, even though the staff told me it would be solved - I just think there isn't good reception in the room. Tour packages from the hotel are highly recommended. Staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly.

It was a great property with nice views and multiple rooftops. The staff was excellent and the property was clean and neat. The only concern I had was the curtains were a little see thru and the bedding needs improvement

Overall the hotel comfort was sub. As there is no air-conditioning in most of the rooms, although we found out that some do hvae them inatalled. However we werent asked that preference upon check in. In full blown summer, it can be better with aircon time. Apart from that issue, theboverall experience was great as the hot air baloon makes up and puts that smile on your face. This hotel has a prime location, so if they improve on this fact, it can be a better stay and improve ratings

Location, location, location... So many Dining options and shopping nearby. Amazing views at sunset and sunrise. Amazing Terrace, great photo ops. Meh breakfast. No window in our room, so that could be better. All great otherwise.

Incredible and unique hotel! Complete one of a kind experience and highly recommend -- facilities were top notch and you stay in a literal cave, with incredible views at the restaurant. We booked all our excursions with them which meant no stress and we found their prices very fair. Definitely recommend you use them to their fullest and enjoy!

Easy and smooth check in and check out. Staff was extremely sweet and room was very clean. Many dining options 5 minutes away walking. However, it is up a hill so must be comfortable walking at an incline to and from the main strip of restaurants. Can’t wait to come back!!

Gorgeous property with breathtaking views of the valley and balloon rides. Bar tenders on the roof top were great at mixing spectacular drinks The stay was a very unique experience for me. Never stayed in a cave like room before with modern amenities. This is the place to stay in Cappadocia.

Mithra Cave Hotel has excellent views of the balloons! It’s definitely got great patios, good “cave vibes” and the rooms were nice. The restaurant food was good too! We did a private breakfast to watch the balloons and it was amazing as well.

An amazing experience - your hotel room … in a cave!!! Hotel Mithra is a great place to stay and experience the wonder of the Cappodocia region. The staff are so attentive and keen to assist you any way they can. The Mithra location is excellent for enjoying nighttime lights and sounds of Goreme and if you get up early enough, you have the very best view of up to 150 balloons in flight majestically flying in front of your very eyes. Really nice cozy place with great staff

Great place with very beautiful view of Goreme and balloons. The staff is very friendly, service is on top level. Only the breakfast was a little dissaponting: the choice of dishes was very limited.

Good experience but bad signal from the room :(

The hotel has a very nice location with only 5-10min walk to everything, even to the Sunset Viewpoint! My friend and I spent 2 nights in the cave room just next to the reception. Everything was fantastic except for the internet condition: the only available Wi-Fi was from the reception, but it was too weak to connect. Even though we wanted to switch to use our mobile data instead, there’s no 4G signal in the room neither…

This has to be the best Cave Hotel in Cappadocia! We stayed here as a family of 5 for 4 days. Our room had a patio so close to the hot air balloons we were able to wave to each other as they passed by. The staff is beyond amazing and were able to book us activities cheaper than we could find online or at the local travel spots. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options. It’s about a 3-5 minute walk down hill to the shops and restaurants. My family and I were always greeted by the staff and they are truly nice people. If we come back I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else, thank you!

Situated at the top of the hill, location was good as we had a good view in the morning when the hot air balloons took off. The layout of the hotel was unique and had many twists and turns internally, almost felt like a magical outdoor castle. Room was clean and warm, but bed mattress could be better! Very good experience!

Charming hotel but with sub-par service

Our experience was below expectations for the price paid and hotel star rating. The service seems great at first because of the warm welcome. The staffs would always promised to take care of our concerns or issues but simply end up ignoring our requests. Although the breakfast was free, we were only there once because we did not our experience because of the bees on our food. We had a nice room with a spectacular view of the region. However, our front door was used as a dumpster for all the outdoor furnitures when it rains, making it a very unpleasant experience. Even after multiple complaints, the staffs would only take care of it once. After few frustration, we were simply let it go because of the obvious inaction or attempt to ignore our requests. The hotel overall looks really nice and charming. We enjoy taking pictures on the terrasse. Since it is located at the top of the hill, please expect to do some walk-up every time you visit the village at the bottom. Activities in the region is quite entertaining, but pricey for what you get.

Grounds were lovely. Views were amazing in fact we woke up early to watch the balloons float right informer of us. The staff was pleasant and very helpful the only negative I would have is the lack of AC…with that being said I understand these are 500year old caves but sleeping at night without AC was tough. Regardless would still recommend!

Fantastic place to stay to watch the balloons launch from the terrace in the morning. Also just a beautiful hotel with very helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and a nice restaurant. I will stay here again if I'm ever in the area again.

Everything was great, check-in, staff, room, facilities. The view from rooftop is amazing. The guys at the bar/restaurant in rooftop do their best to please you.

Definitely the cave hotel experience I was looking forward too. They had a romantic setup for my husband and I with petals and balloons which I didn’t expect! Which was a huge hit for my toddler. Didn’t even have to request a crib for him as they already had it setup! Above expectations, check in was quick and easy. Food was ok for the breakfast buffet. One thing I noticed don’t order pizza (only thing my kid eats) anywhere ANYWHERE in turkey. Lol, literally a tortilla bread with cheese on it. But it’s ok. Drinks at this place is meh too. Everything else was on point! Would definitely go back next time!!!

Authentic cave rooms, close to the Goreme central shopping area, great view of balloons as they take off.

Even though we only stayed for one night we loved this hotel. Our flight landed in the morning and our room wasn’t quite ready yet, which we were of course expecting. The front desk was very nice and told us we can go have breakfast with the rest of the guests at their restaurant. Breakfast was nice and refreshing. The view from their terrace is one of the best in the city and the hotel is very close to the city center. We booked a deluxe room and it was small but very cozy. Next morning we woke up early to watch the balloons and the setup on their terrace was spectacular! One of the best viewpoints in the city to watch the balloons. All in all, highly recommend.

the attention to the detail was perfect. the staff members very nice and print to help you. we have a medical issue and the staff was move very fast and the service to the hospital was incredible we only have very nice words for all the medical team and the hotel stage to take care about us . we reserved the terrace and the photographer gives very nice pictures the hotel location is privilege and the hot balloon experience was out mind. we recommended to all our friends.

We stayed at the fairy chimney room, and it was a nice big room. The only complaint i never got my VIP gift ( had to remind 3 times and still did not get it!!!)

Food was great. Also probably had the best terrace of all the cave hotels. Stayed in the honey moon suite, which was super cool, but I think there was a plumbing issue because there was a strange smell in the room.

Great location to see the ballons on the Terrace!

I had requested for a double bed when i made the booking. They put us in a room with two twin beds. Upon request they said they did not have any other room available. They joined the beds together but both were not on the same height. One was lower than the other. We were kept waiting outside the lobby for a while just to have the manager say there is nothing they can do besides join the beds. All in all we did not have a very comfortable nights sleep. We were there for only a night and did not appreciate the bed situation after the long day we had. We took an international flight then a domestic connection then a shuttle transfer to get to Cappadocia and were exhausted. Apart from that the location and housekeeping staff were great.

Great Property and view. Amazing room in the cave. Only thing is we booked a triple on expedia and then they wanted to charge us an extra $30 per day for a roll away bed, than they did not bring. They just turned the sofa into a bed inside the room.

My friend and I had a pleasant and comfortable stay at Mithra Cave Hotel. It is located within a close walk to the main town. Our room was spacious and clean. There were several terraces which offered spectacular views. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Serhat was absolutely wonderful. He was very approachable and went above and beyond to make our trip go smoothly and make the most of our stay. He gave recommendations and made bookings for activities including a hot air balloon ride through a great company which we had an amazing experience with. We would definitely stay at the Mithra Cave Hotel hotel again.

Lovely Quaint picturest hotel situated high up on the goreme hills, with many roof top terraces to view your early morning hot air balloons from the breakfast areas. Nice fairy chimney rooms over 2 floors with big jacuzzi bath tub, shame it doesnt have a window though, and struggled with charging points for phones. Short walk down to the small town area. Right next door is the highly recommended seten restaurant which was very nice. Mithra has lots of different steps and routes to get around the hotel and to access different roof tops. Excellent stay absolutely recommend this to anyone.

My friend and I stayed for two nights in the Cave suite. It was very clean and comfortable and looked even better than the photos. The staff were extremely caring and helpful, especially Serhat who worked at reception and assisted us after an airport delay with our luggage. The view from the terrace was stunning, as was the hotel with many areas available to view the hot air balloons. I would only suggest a wider variety at breakfast, but otherwise a comfortable and magical stay we would highly recommend staying here!

Enjoyed the experience

I did enjoy my stay at the Mithra Cave Hotel. The Fairy Chimney room was an interesting experience. On one hand, it was neat to stay inside the cave, but on the other a nicer view would have been nice. You can walk out to one of the many terraces at the hotel to watch the balloons taking off in the mornings, or just to enjoy the view in general during the day. Note that the balloons start to take off before sunrise, so be sure to get up early. I wasn't wowed by the service at the hotel, but I have to say, I was not wowed by the service at any hotel during my visit to Turkey. So, relatively speaking, the service was on par. I have not complaints. I have to say that I do not get the appeal of a round bed. I would rather have a rectangular bed; especially if that means I get a more comfortable mattress. I would definitely recommend staying in a cave hotel during your stay because they seem to have the best views of the valley and convenience to restaurants and shopping. I would not say that this hotel in particular was remarkable in any way.

Loved it! The hotel has so many balconies that have the prettiest views. The free breakfast serves really good food. The staff are very helpful. We stayed in the fairy chimney suite and it had two floors! The bathroom was huge with a big jacuzzi and upstairs was a big room with a comfy bed. I would not stay anywhere else! The shuttle from the airport to the hotel was super easy and I highly recommend going through the hotel to book it. Only downside: do NOT book the hot air ballon through the hotel. We did and the company they did it through sucked. We waited basically a hour on a bus because it was disorganized and basically missed the sunrise.

I had a comfortable stay. Room was great. However, staff was a bit pushy on the hot air balloon ride and the breakfast options were limited. Views were great though.

The restaurant staff were super accommodating with dietary requirements making special accommodations effortless. The room was consistently warm and cosy adding to a wonderful stay.

From the moment we entered, everyone we met made sure that every aspect of our stay was comfortable. The rooms were spacious and the amenities were great. While we only stayed one night, it was one of our favorite hotels as we felt truly pampered.

1. Service not great - no instructions on how to call reception from room. 2. Suggested tours of area were v expensive. 3. Red tour included unnecessary shopping stops for jewellery. 4. Asked for a blanket but this was never sent u to room. 5. Decor in room was old and bed extremely creaky

Could be more responsible

Overall hotel is cool, rooms are interesting, nice views, breakfast is great and servers are good. Terrace is closed most of the time so you have to ask them to open. Did not leave toilet paper in the room and did not vacuum one day (we had sand from shoes in the middle of the room). I asked and reminded twice to pack us a lunchbox instead of breakfast because of early departure, eventually no one told the night concierge and nothing was ready.

Great hotel for Cappadocia Trip

Amazing hotel, very friendly and helpful front desk. They can book anything for you there to make things very easy. The rooms are amazing, the hotel is beautiful and would definitely stay again.

My stay at Mithra Cave Hotel was fantastic! The customer service was better than I've had at some Marriott hotels. I was warmly welcomed with some tea and great advice about things to do. They helped send postcards for me since I didn't have enough time to do it on my own. They even drove me to the bus stop to catch my bus. The room was exactly what I expected for a cave hotel, it was very clean and had all the basic amenities. The rooftop was the perfect location to see all the hot air ballons in the early hours of the morning. Additionally, they served the best Turkish breakfast I had while I was in Turkey. Highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed in a two-bedroom room. It was perfect for our family of 5. The bedrooms were spacious. The living room was nicely decorated and each bedroom had its own bathroom. The showers were really good and everything was very clean. The views of the hotel were fabulous. In the morning we could have our delicious breakfast watching the hot air ballons flying over Göreme. The food at the restaurant was good and the staff at the hotel was very helpful and polite. We recommend staying at this hotel.

The room overall was ok. However, we went on September and the room hardly gets warm with the AC on heating. Also we didnt have hot water and they took 2 days to fix that. Other than that all was fine and the staff were friendly and nice .

Saved by the views

Hotel saves itself with the views from its terraces apart from that nothing special to be said. Was given a room which i booked under a "suite" and even though it says it has a/c i was given a portable unit that barely did the job of a fan, couldnt sleep from the heat or the noise from the portable unit. When i told the lady at the front desk she said that only half of their rooms had working ac so they should really emphasize this when making a reservation. Guys at the front desk are friendly on first impression but lacking in hotel service, had to ask everything and when we needed something felt like we were actually bothering them. Its a perception thing for me and this hotel made me feel like I was at a convenient bNb more than a 4.5 star hotel which they advertise themselves as.

This hotel has been one of the best hotels that i had stayed ,forget about the hotel.....the staff is incredible. The most friendly people and more accommodating staff that we ever encounter before. The hotel is beautiful ,excellent views ,great breakfast ,clean and excellent location My friends and I stayed there at the end of march of 2021 and we had the best time. We even had a mini party in the roof and they were super nice about it .Serhat the manager was super nice he helped us a lot with the covid test arrangements because we were traveling to dubai after turkey and we needed a pcr and serhat helped us with that. At the checkout we didn't had the result yet and he was super diligent trying to contact us to the doctor office to get the results, he even called the doctor himself. Like i said the best staff ever.
