Another delightful visit where the staff recognise a returning guest with a smile.
Lots of homeless people on streets, urinating and generally disturbing.
Centrally located - easy walk to China Town (< 1km), Circular Quay (2Km) and The Rocks (2.2Km). Light rail nearby as an alternate to walking. Tap on/Tap off with credit card makes things easy for visitors. Well appointed apartment-like accommodation. Would consider again.
Only had one chair on our huge balcony. The bed was very comfortable, however against a wall on one side which made getting in and out challenging.very nice for a short stay.
Great property close to everything! I would stay here again.
Enjoyed our stay, noise from suites under repair. Plus both bathrooms had issues with shower heads & loose tiles in 1 bathroom
Exceptional accommodation. Clean, modern, great location, helpful front desk.
Nice apartment, excellent location
Excellent welcome. Room was ready 2hrs early. Reception need to explain how to use the lift better for first time use. We had a 1-bed luxury apartment. It was nice but not luxurious. Appreciated a separate lounge as bedroom was very small. Bathroom smelled a bit off all the time. Bed was very comfortable. Aircon was piped into the bedroom more than the lounge, and even when set to 25 it was freezing in the bedroom. Location was fantastic, just around the corner from Town Hall stop. Although not perfect, we would definitely stay again. Hopefully the current upgrades will make those rooms 'luxury'!
We were celebrating a special occasion so booked a Penthouse for one night. Views were amazing, and the Penthouse is quite stunning. Just two things I thought worth noting - there was some sort of work happening on the side of the building, which meant scaffolding and wires in front of the balcony. And in the room itself, there were just signs of wear and tear which I would not have expected in a room of this quality - wear and tears in the carpet, chips in the tile floor in the kitchen. Overall we all had a great stay.
great location for public transport & shopping
Central hotel apartments with large floor plan to relax in. Great walking distance to shops and restaurants.
Great location
Enjoyable Short Stay
A one night pre-travel stay, but would definitely enjoy staying at the Meriton Suites Pitt street with family for a longer Sydney visit.
Whilst the location was good and handy for work, it was very noisy at night time. The rooms could do with a fresh coat of paint and fix the cracks / scratches on the walls
Great location, spotless rooms and very helpful staff.
The staff were truely hospitable and the apartment was well stocked.
Hawkhamo
Great apartments, nice and roomy, perfect for 2 couples.
I arrived very early to simply drop my bag off & was almost immediately checked in, then given an upgrade & a smile. There is a reason why I keep coming back as they consistently deliver above & beyond.
Accessible to most of the tourist attractions around downtown Sydney, a wide variety of restaurants within walking distance. Considering that this is a major city in the world with a pretty dense population, it is relatively clean and safe albeit there are signs of homelessness in the shadows. Hotel prices are on par to most cities in the United States and Europe with similar population numbers.
Had a very enjoyable comfortable stay, very clean in a great spot and staff were wonderful
Liked that the property was around the corner from a Woolworths store that had good options for take away food. Just walk 2 streets over to Elizabeth Street to catch a bus to Circular Quay.
Disappointing visit
We had stayed at Meriton Pitt Street before, and loved it. But this time was terrible! We had views of buildings next door, we had a noisy air conditioner in the bedroom, the kitchen had a weird layout - the cutlery drawer was almost on the floor and the overhead cupboards were almost to the ceiling (I'm 155cm tall and couldnt easily reach them). Although we were in Sydney for 3 nights to catch up with friends and family, we had a few hours of down time - but the tv streaming did not work, no matter how often we tried it (we've been able to do this at other hotels plenty of times)
Great accommodation for families. Amazing location, the apartment was spacious and clean.
Friendly staff. Updated lobby and common areas. Room layout was pretty good but older appliances and didn't look as fancy as pictures made it appear. Good location by Town Hall for easy access to light rail. Many restaurants nearby especially Asian.
Joseph in reception needs a mention. This guy was the perfect concierge, helping and advising us during our stay, always with a smile and good humour. From when we checked in, to when we left 4 days later, he greeted us every time he saw us and asked if we needed anything. The rest of the staff were also lovely and professional. We witnessed a difficult customer who was being aggressive and we were impressed with how the staff dealt with him, deescalating the situation and not facilitating the man's demands due to his bad language. Overall a really good stay with family and friends. Sydney is awesome. Just wish we could've stayed longer. On a side note....... Do the bridge climb, it's well worth it. 👌 Onto Bondi for the day too 😉
Very nice unit Loved outdoor space Great front line staff Area has some homeless issues
Neat and clean property
Very satisfying. Excellent location, excellent services.
A very classy and accessible property to all of Sydney. The staff is out of this world terrific. Loved my stay. No hesitation about going back.
The area is very central. Hotel room was ok
Spacious , clean apartments in a convenient location. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The studio apartment was great. However, the Wi-Fi did not work our entire visit.
Great location close to all transport. Block and a half from train from airport. The space was large and clean with everything I needed. Bed and pillows comfy. They staff at reception were really welcoming and helpful. No view but quite. Recommend
Property could use some updating, wifi was extremely slow for what was provided as well as the TVs being kinda old and not allowing for easy streaming from devices. Area around the hotel is ideal if you want to just walk around.
Location was excellent—close to Town Hall train and tram, walking distance to everywhere. Hotel was clean, safe and very comfortable.
Fabulous property, perfect for small groups and families. Spacious apartment including kitchen and laundry facilities. Walking distance to Sydney attractions including public transport and major shopping precinct. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Location and quiet room
Average stay , great location and quiet room , average cleanliness. Pool - water cold and area just drab
The property was in an excellent location and served us well. I would choose it again.
Very close to the train station, grocery, shopping, tourist attractions, etc. Rooms were large with balconies. 2nd bathroom shower had spaces between glass walls, which led to flooding. Other than that, staff was friendly and rooms well appointed.
This was a great location for our stay in Sydney. We were able to easily walk to Darling Harbor or we could jump on the tram to get there or other locations. There were great shopping and dining options all around us. The suite was very luxurious and comfortable.
Fantastic staff so friendly , helpful especially Joseph! Thank you! Very large suites and with all the amenities! Great location...easy walking yo all major attractions!!
Parking lot was tight and expensive
From the moment I arrived, well before normal check in time, the staff were friendly & helpful, storing my luggage & fast tracking my apartment for use. Nothing was ever a problem & I highly recommend the venue. I will be back in April next year for another stay.
Nice and clean and handy to the trams and rail. On the downside, checking in was a disaster, took forever even well after their advertised check in time. We needed a sleep after being on the go for so long and just as we were about to go to bed a lady walks in thinking it was her room - not good. I ended up having to go to the Hospital after a slight accident- tried to ring my wife via the Hotel Reception and they said they couldn’t put the call thru to the room and hung up. Called a second time to be told by the person on the phone that he didn’t know how to do that. Third attempt got put thru without any problem. We did receive an apology and a bottle of wine for having the lady intrude into our room. In fairness, the premises themselves were great, clean, tidy and we liked the location.
Great location and awesome staff
Read the other reviews about the great rooms and we’re a little disappointed that our room needs refurbishing. It looks well worn and tired.
Wonderful.palce, easy access to and from airport
We chose a great spot to stay - tram is around the corner: 3 stops and you are at the harbour, Circular Quay (walking distance to the Rocks then) and the Opera House. Great pub kitty corner (The Edinburgh Castle Hotel). Walking distance to QVB for those who like to shop. Was surprisingly quiet given doors don't reach the ground and so aren't muffling hallway sounds. Guests obviously honour quiet hours. The windows open which is a plus. Of course, street noise is 'vibrant' then; when windows are closed, you can't hear the street much at all. Would have liked more than 1 hand towel for the 2 of us for the week (Housekeeping after 3 nights; no change of linens or towels). Front desk very prompt in responding to questions/requests. Woolworth's at Town Hall around the corner has ready-made meals if you don't want to full-on cook.
Good location, clean, modern and comfortable.
Everything was fine except the wi fi which was slow and sometimes didn’t connect at all except for the email which was fine.
Clean, perfect for the purpose. No issues apart from the lift breaking down!
Excellent location: a block from Town Hall station. Many great restaurants and shops close by. Australian Opal Cutters just a block away. Clean, comfortable space. Enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony.
Great central property, easy access to main shopping areas, public transport including light rail and trains, and close to restaurants and groceries. The only downside is the parking is extremely tight and don't have the property validate your parking as they charge $45 a night and as it's a public carpark, the rate is only $15 per night. Staff was exceptional
I likes 3 separate betromms and kitchen and laundry.
The quality of the suite was excellent. The location was great with on-site parking, very convenient.
Best location
The location was by far the best
Lifts were fast and efficient. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Good for families who need apartments.
Room was clean and comfortable bed. Nice to have a small table and casual chair to sit on. Very handy to have the washing machine and dry as well.
Fabulous location and wonderful staff
Very welcoming team. Super helpful with baggage storage upon early morning arrival. The team contacted us within an hour to let us know our room was already available. Reena, Guest Services Manager was a delight and able to fix a couple of small supply needs for us and sort issues out very quickly! Loved the location just a few steps from Town Hall station.
The didn’t think we got value for money . The towels were small and the Neighbours (next room)doors were slamming from 11.15pm and started again at 5.15am . Vanity door damage Skirting boards water damages .
Good location and quality accommodation
We will be staying at this property again when we visit Sydney the next time. The hotel is in the best location, it's a two minute walk to Town Center and endless shopping. The other direction a two minute walk to Hyde Park. Our room, with a living room, kitchen, one bedroom and a two person soaker tub was very comfortable. The guest services staff at the front desk were outstanding, friendly, kind and helpful. Thank you for a great stay.
Clean and available facilities
Had a three bedroom suite--great!! However, requested face washers (face cloths) and they were out. Requested that the room be cleaned on the 2nd day of our 4 day stay and was advised they only clean every 3rd day--we checked out on the 4th day. Conveniently located near trains, plaza, pubs, markets, banks. Would stay there again.
The room a bit run down, door was not able to lock properly
Loved our stay easy great location for walking and public transport would definitely stay again.
Great location and massive apartment. Very comfortable and had all the necessities needed. Overall, great stay!
Great Stay!
Very clean and central to the city
Great stay at Meriton Pitt street. King bed with a kitchen was the perfect space for us. Joseph made our stay with a warm welcome, efficient check in and great recommendations for the area. Easy to get to from the metro. Excellent coffee directly across the street at La Famiglia and a Woolworths grocery store within a few mins walk to stock up. Glad we chose Meriton for our stay.
We had a one bedroom apartment at the Meriton Pitt Street and it was awesome. Spacious and very well equipped. It was close to both Museum and Town Hall station. Highly recommend.
Room was not ready at 3pm (check in time) and the reception staff was unhelpful and unapologetic, said "wait and I will let you know when ready" which he never did and disappeared from reception. There was a staff change over and eventually spoke to another person that organised a room. Surprised as I've stayed in many Meriton locations and staff are generally professional and well trained. Really quite disappointed and won't be back here anytime soon.
Lift doors closed so quickly when trying to manipulate luggage in and out of lift. Similarly the entrance door to suite could do with a magnate or similar to hold door open. The car park is awful
The staff made the check-in and check out process so easy. Very conveniently located for all amenities especially the new metro station
Loved the suites compact and had everything needed for stay. The lift was fast, efficient and very safe. Staff were professional and knowledgeable about the area and hotel. Will stay again
Ideal position for our stay
We love the place
Disappointing experience
The apartment was not clean. One of the beds had crumbs in between the sheets, and we needed to get the housekeeping team to change our bedsheets. Customer service was horrible. We were provided with wrong information about parking charges. We were initially told that there was a grace period for parking, but turned out after our own checks that there was no grace period. The front desk staff (specifically Marina) was unapologetic, rude, and accusatory in her replies. We have also stayed at Meriton Suites at Kent Street, rooms were not clean. Suggest to look elsewhere within the city.
Centrally located
Great service. Grateful for being able to leave our luggage.
Great location
Top location, safe friendly executive style
Friendly professional check in. Great 2 bedrooms perfect for family or professional space. Great location central with safe walking to all cbd locations and train. We used the pool and spa and it was a great mini vacation for the family.
Weekend away. Good central location
Great spot on Pitt street. Close to everything.
Older hotel with out dated decors. Our first room heat did not work, had to switch room middle of night.
Great location and comfortable and flexible space.
Overnight
A quick overnight trip , we had an appointment , was a great location
Pool and spa was amazing
Highly recommended. Great location, convenient, good amenities.
Friendly staff and really good location. Everything near by
I had a studio suite which had everything you need for a long term stay - cooking and washing facilities, large fridge. Close to transport but also within walking distance to all of the cbd.
The property was very good, location, restaurants, etc. However, the locks on balcony doors were in need of cleaning and adjustment as they would not lock properly.
Enjoyed our stay, great for shopping and easy access to tram, and dining.
Good location central to all. Apartment in good condition and checkin and checkout is easy. Front desk personnel are courteous and efficient.
Shame
Disappointed with room location, not as indicated on brochure, was east facing, no view and no sun in the room. Cutlery and tableware not clean, lipstick marks on wine glasses, not cleaned properly, Bathtub had soap scum, needed cleaning before using. Water running out of shower cubicle under door into bathroom area and around toilet. Bathroom is dated and mould on the shower wall. Hotel staff were really fantastic and so helpful. We thought overpriced.
The shower leaked out onto the bathroom floor. We were there for 4 days. Had to ask for more toilet paper, clean towels. Couch was stained. Our room and the corridor areas on our floor looked tired.
Central location
Great location central to shops, shows and dining. Just around the corner from Airport Train Station (Town Hall). All in all a good stay.
enjoyed the space of an apartment. it was cold and the climate control would not fix the problem. the cleaning before i arrived missed a few places.
My husband was trapped in the elevator with several others for a half hour and had to climb out between floors. The hotel refunded one nights stay but for the remainder of our stay only 1 elevator was working making it very difficult to get to and from the 24th floor. We had to walk down to the lobby as the elevator wouldn’t stop at our floor to take us down and the wait times to get upstairs were very long. Rooms were very nice.

Location was awesome for us. Close to Town Hall and other transportation options as well as Circular Quay. Joseph checked us in an did a great job and was very helpful getting us situated with our luggage before check in time.
