Fantastic Hotel
We stayed at Mercure Colmar whilst on a trip to visit some Alsace Christmas markets. It was very close to the Colmar markets but in a quiet area. Every member of staff we came across were efficient and friendly. The hotel itself is modern and clean with some extra special touches such as some welcoming biscuits gift and still and sparkling water available in the lobby. The room was lovely - clean and comfortable with a large wide bed. The bathroom was modern with a fantastic rain shower. Breakfast was great too, good quality produce and hot and cold options. We have stayed in a few Mercure hotels in various cities - this has been our favourite
Beautiful property, could have used an explanation on how to use the power in the bedroom, otherwise very friendly staff, clean and convenient.
Parking is not included. You have to pay to park. Hard to find parking. Hotel Door closed at midnight. You will have to call the front desk to get in.
Superb
Lovely modern hotel which is well furnished and decorated. Very close to local amenities and a good location. Abba? (please excuse if a spelling mistake) was the concierge working at the time and he was incredibly helpful and a credit to the company. Me and my wife had to cut our trip short and he was very helpful in helping us make arrangements to return home. Nothing was too much and he helped make a difficult time much easier.
Superb.

Very good location but for a 4 star…
I must say the staff is very friendly but for a 4 star hotel I expect much better. The lift is tiny for the number of guests it caters for. The towels provided and basic pillows are not worthy of a 4 star hotel.
On the edge of the most scenic part of Old Colmar, very modern and clean with up to date fascilities. Good value for money.
Great location close to old town
Great location close to old town, good on site parking
Great room. Helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Very close to the old town so ideal for sightseeing and dinner .
Excellent location with old town behind the hotel, public car parking lot 50 metres away, Monoprix shop behind the hotel, plenty of temporary parking in front hotel. Highly recommended.
Great hotel in a perfect location. Only 5min walk from the center of town
Hotel looks pretty old and room only has a small window and not much of a view. It would be good if they could give a full box of tissue paper instead of a tissue box with just a few sheets inside. Entrance to carpark is really tight!
The hotel is an a great location, Breakfast is superior a great place to stay in Colmar
Great hotel and staff. Perfectly situated to walk to Colmar center- minutes away!
Great hotel near center of Colmar
This is great hotel near the center of Colmar. The location is next to 3 lanes one-way street but quiet inside—nice cozy rooms with usual facilities. As in every french hotel, you will not have iron inside the room. Breakfast is rather a french style with cheese and sweets, there are other things like some eggs and sausages except it but limited choice. For me, game changer is the fitness center(corner) and sauna open 24/7 on request. So if you're a sauna person you're not limited as in many hotels. On-site parking is underground and narrow. to get to it you need to pass the hotel and turn the first left onto no entry sign. Places in front of the hotel are almost all-time occupied. I strongly recommend it and it's very possible I will get back on my next business trip.
Hotel staff very friendly & helpful. Location provides great access (within walking distance) to primary tourist areas, food, entertainment. Definitely, would stay again.
Central location
The hotel is not easy to find with the convoluted street system. Car parking can be included under the hotel but is far from easy. Hotel restaurant does not do evening meals but can get them provided in your room, on the other hand they provide breakfast which was very good! A pretty town certainly wrt a visit!
The front desk staff was excellent. They provided great customer service.
Near everything. Great price. Clean room and friendly staff. Just a little rundown. More like a clean 3-star…not a 4-star. It’s fine place for a few nights.
Fantastic place to stay. Easy parking and walkable to everywhere. A must stay.
Good location, good staff, good hotel, hard beds
Really good hotel, close to city center, nice staff and overall good comfort. Beware though: the beds are very hard so if you’re used to soft beds you’re in for a rough night. Breakfast is ok, not the best not the worst. The American pancakes are awesome and the scrambled eggs are creamy and nice
lovely
a really nice hotel, very comfortable indeed.
Well located hotel Breakfast had the best croissants in France ! The region is beautiful and Colmar is a great base to get around
4-star hotel at a 3-star price. Clean and close to everything. A must stay.
Good hotel close to Colmar centre
Good location in Colmar close to the centre. Very friendly receptionist and very comfortable bed.
Great Option for Colmar, Nothing Special 7/10
This stay will provide you with what you need. Very typical accommodations. Nothing stands out, and not memorable. I wouldn’t stay here again but a solid 8/10. I would have preferred something more charming with character or more amenities.
Everything was good for a relatively budget hotel to satisfy basic needs. However, one should not expect too much than this.
Just what we hoped. Very central, very clean and very helpful and considerate staff.
central location ,all within walking distance , ideal for Christmas markets
We liked the proximity to the old city. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were comfortable.
All good
Easy check in, good location, nice room, friendly staff
Super convenient to downtown the room was a great size for the area but the bed was to hard for me
They were friendly but after you check out they were cold..
The property was in a good location. More ibpnformation needs to be provided to guest regarding parking & how to access if.
It’s location, just a short walk to the old town and Little Venice makes it the ideal hotel to stay for visiting Colmar.
Loved the Mercure
My husband and I booked a last minute trip for our first anniversary at the Mercure. It was a nice hotel that was within walking distance to everything that Colmar had to offer. Within 10 minutes we were downtown and 15 minutes to Little Venice. The hotel was on the outskirts of the city so you don't get the crowd, but close enough that you could walk. Two things that I look for when booking a stay is if the hotel is pet friendly and if their is parking. The Mercure had both! We brought our dog with us and she loved the stay as well. We also felt comfortable leaving her in the room for a couple hours while we went out for dinner. Parking was underneath the hotel and it was easy to get in and out of. I would recommend the Mercure for anyone looking for a place to stay.
Good hotel Good room Good breakfast Excellent location
Good hotel Good room Good breakfast Excellent location
The hotel was in a perfect location to enjoy the wonderful Christmas market. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great rooms which offer everything you need for a restful stay!
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived. I love that the parking is under the hotel and an elevator takes you directly to reception. The location of the hotel is great. Location is great! 10-15 minutes walk to Little Venice. The buffet breakfast offered many choices.
Staff at front desk are absolutely friendly and they go out if their way to help. We found them welcoming and helpful.
Superb location and friendly staff.
A three night stop-over to see Colmar. The Mercure was in an ideal location, had friendly, helpful staff and proved to be a perfect base to explore the City on foot.
Average hoel
Close to old Town Colmar. A big plus, otherwise, the hotel is just average.
Goodtimes in Alsace!
Great experience! Excellent fitness area and beautiful sauna. Rooms aren't very big, but perfectly comfortable the little time we spent there. Very helpful staff from the front desk to the breakfast attendants and housekeeping staff. Great location to the historic center of Colmar.
Must visit
Great location
Good hotel and friendly staff
I stay here frequently for work. Good location and nice hotel for my purpose. Staff are helpful and friendly.
Nice location close to the Unterlinden but...
1. Very convenient to go out to the city center where many attractions are located. 2. However, very difficult to find the hotel by a car even with a car navigation. Many one way roads around the hotel and not clear display of the parking entrance. 3. Noises come from next doors 4. We experienced water leakage from the room above and got some things dirty. I do not know if some maintenance work was being done or just got water pipes damaged.
Sufficient for a overnight stop!
The hotel is basic but has everything you need and is very well located to see the sights of the town. The hotel does feel like it needs a refurbish of the content!
Good Downtown Location
We had a little trouble finding the hotel because the sign was hidden by scaffolding; the hotel exterior was being repainted. Otherwise, it was a good experience. The hotel was near the downtown restaurant district, and we enjoyed the local wine and food. The lobby bar had a good selection of local wines to taste by the glass. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast.
well located hotel
Hotel very busy, but we were upgraded and the room was fine. Breakfast and car parking expensive. Only one small lift caused problems at busy times.
Overnight stop.
Our room 305 had a picture of two children kneeling down at the grave/tombstone. It sort of disturbed us to have such a picture in a hotel room.
Rude staff..
Although the hotel screen said the parking fee was for a period of 24h, the front-desk lady made sure to point out that daily means from whenever you enter the hotel until 12pm.. It was not consistent with the 24h in the screen neither to what was announced when they sold the service.. Apart from the location, which is right in the city center, its absolutely not worth it. Wouldn't come back and wouldn't recommend it either..
Nice hotel with one fatal flaw for Americans...
The hotel is almost up to American standard. The room is obviously smaller, but the bathroom is very spacious. The room— and the hotel — is modern, nice looking. Great location with direct access to the old town. An underground parking is available, but keep in mind that the parking is made for European cars and is claustrophobic for Americans; your mini-SUV is a large car in Europe, and barely fits in the spaces. Hotel was completely satisfying except for one fatal flaw: the air conditioning is set to "8 degrees lower then outside temperature" rather than to an absolute value (like 20 degrees Celsius). In the summers, Alsace's weather can be very hot and humid, and that was the case 7/20-7/25 2015. With temperatures approaching 40 it was way too hot to bear... The staff gave us a fan, and we kept the window wide open at night, but still it was very, very tough.
No AC even though website sys it does.
We booked thehotel because it offered air conditioning, a must during a hot July weekend. However, AC was not functioning and the rooms actually got hotter than outside during the night. Request for manager or discount on the room wwere not made availble. The plus was a gret locationa and provided not warm tempertures, the stay would have been great. One staff member was very appologetic while two others just didnt want to be bothered.
Great staff. Very friendly And helpful. Had maps of city and gave great directions.
Great and Convenient Hotel in Colmar
We stayed in a family room with 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed. The room is newly refurbished and it is clean and spacious. The entire old town areas are walkable from the hotel Supermarket and restaurants are just around the corner. Overall excellent stay and would definitely stay again if we are going back to Colmar in future.
Great hotel to visit the Old Town of Colmar
A very nice hotel with great parking right inside the old town. The staff is friendly and the hotel very satisfactory. The room was clean and tidy. The WiFi was decent and the signal surprisingly strong. I would definitely stay there again.
Colmar france
Good location
Great place for the price
Everything looked modern and the staff was very helpful with maps and public transportation, and they spoke great English.
This hotel should not be rated 4 stars. The room was shabby and in need of renovation. I have stayed in many 3 star hotels that are far better.
Smoky "unsmoking" room
I had asked for a non-smoking room and when i was checking in, i asked to make sure that the room was non-smoking. I was assured that it was a non-smoking room. On opening the door to the room, it was the unmistakable smell of smoke that greeted me.

Great location
Exactly the quality you would expect from this hotel chain. High speed wifi.
Air conditioning
We were told that there was no way to adjust our " air conditioned" room. And that the hotel set it. It was 100F outside and around 90F in our room. Couldn't sleep.hadto spend hours in ou car in the garage which was nice and cool!
Clean, comfortable, basic
The hotel was very clean, friendly staff, and is well located near the food and tourist precinct. Bed was very good, quite firm to our liking. It is a no frills type of place, fairly basic (plastic cups in the rooms) and was reasonably quiet other than the service staff clunking up and down the stairs in the early morning. Air conditioning exists, however it is a joke. Free parking over the road, although I don't understand why they want to charge you Euro10 to park underneath when it is nearly empty anyway. Overall quite good.
All the basics right plus a friendly welcome
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Things seemed to run smoothly as ther were enough staff to cope well and so no unnecessary waiting. Condition of everything was good - well maintained.
value for money
Nice hotel. Staff at reception was not very helpful
Great location
The check in was very quick and dealt with my needs in a efficient manner. The room was spacious and clean throughout. The hotel was centrally positioned for ease of walking through the local attractions.
Great Location - Crowded Room
This hotel is in a bit of a shabby neighborhood, but a black away from the old town. It is an older hotel in need of some updating, but a decent value and free WiFi. We liked Strasbourg better than Colmar and I'd recommend just doing it as a day trip. But if you are going to Colmar, this is a good place to stay.
Not exactly 4 stars
The hotel was fine for what I and my group wanted--mainly a place to sleep and get a decent breakfast. Although the hotel was rated 4 stars, I would say it would even be a stretch to call it 3 stars. The rooms were small, drab, and rather tired--could use a real makeover. Having said that, the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The breakfast was phenomenal--the buffet had everything imaginable; the food was plentiful and fresh. The hotel was kept very clean. It was a plus to be able to park below the hotel. We could walk everywhere in Colmar. Overall it was a good value.
Ideal base for visiting Colmar
Stayed one night in superior double room. Parked in free public car park across road from hotel. First impression of Hotel was having to wait 10 minutes or longer to check in as only one receptionist and busy with one call after another, however when arriving at room found the room to be of a good standard and although small was well equipped with a good bathroom all spotlessly clean There was a good selection of Tea and Coffee making items in the room including a coffee machine which used coffee pods. WiFi connection worked well. Air conditioning was quiet and worked well. Breakfast was usual continental offering with no frills but adequate. The hotel is situated a short walk from the mainly car free city of Colmar, at first you walk through an ugly run down concrete shopping area but then come to the beautiful old town with it's many sights and large selection of restaurants. I would stay here again.
Perfect for touring the old city; nice hotel!
Check-in went smoothly; the lady spoke English. The room was not huge of course, as usual in France but very comfortable. And a nice bathroom with a bath tub and shower. (Except there is no control for the fan or the Air Conditioning at all. And it was 80 degrees so it was a bit warm in the room for my taste. Perhaps they crank up the AC in the summer.) The location is perfect for touring the old city and Colmar is GORGEOUS!! It was not bombed during the wars so it is spectacular. Highly recommended for a visit ... and only 45 minutes by train to Strasbourg. Parking at the hotel is very expensive. (They do not own the underground lot) But ask and they will tell you where you can park free a block away at a Cinema and shopping area.
not the best of hotels in a very quaint town which is worth seeing only stayed 1 night
Good hotel but could be improved
Good hotel and location. Helpful reception staff, and clean rooms. Beds slightly spongy so could be firmer for more comfort and breakfast is good but you have to get there early. They are not good at replacing food when it finishes, so you tend to be left with food thats been sitting there for a while.
parking only at the hotel parking: 15 ero per night. breakfast - 15 ero.
Very good Hotel
The only complaint refers to the bathtube which leaks water out of the tube. One of the supposed nonsmoking rooms had been occupied by a person who, unfortunately had smoken inside of it, but the manager immediately changed the room for us. Very friendly staff. Excellent location.
Hotel in Colmar
Clean and correct hotel
Mercure Unterlinden nice place
nice place would stay again and would recommend it to a friend. Great location near the center of town.
Reasonable for the money, but...
Overall this hotel is a reasonable deal for the money. We had some problems with lack of hot water, but it eventually came on. We were put into a room by the stairs, so there was a bit of banging of the stairway door during the night. My final complaint is that we were in a room facing the street, which was noisy. Avoid the stairs and the street and you've got a good deal. The old city is behind the hotel. There are a number of good restaurants within easy walking distance. There is a cinema just around the corner. And the hotel is just around the corner from the Museum Unter den Linden.
Surprisingly large room for a
Surprisingly large room for a French hotel. Location right on the edge of the old town. Everything of interest less than 10 minutes walking away. Large, free parking less than 1 block.
Tres bon séjour
Elevador pequeno e demorado..
Hotel molto pulito Personale gentilissimo e disponibile
Sehr zentral am Rande der Altstadt gelegen. Sehr freundliches Personal.
Two day stay in Colmar
Nice stay in Colmar. Hotel room was in very good condition and clean. Overall, the hotel was nice but interior is a few years old. On the positive side, what was new were the rooms, most important. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the center of Colmar.
Room cleaning was very good The surrounding area looks dark in the evening Lots of closed shops Construction nearby
Excelente ubicación para visitar los lugares de interés
Perfekte Lage, tolles Zimmer (Privilege) mit Nespresso Maschine und Badewanne
Fint och fräscht hotell med bra läge
Fint hotell ocbra service.
Sehr angenehm und schön, Sauberkeit top und freundlich
Alles bestens wie immer
All was super,sehr individuell,klasse mit Hund,empfehlenswert.
Marche de Noël
Excellent accueil. Tres bon hotel bien placé par rapportvau centre et au marche de noel
Accueil très agréable dans un hôtel confortable et très bien situé à proximité des musées et du centre historique.
