Every year i make some trips to Belo Horizonte and stay at Mercure Lourdes, i like the hotel. Unfortunately this time, my last day they didn't take care of our room. The didn't make the bad, no clean towels, no coffee capsule, nothing.

Very nice hotel for short travels. There was no iron or iron board in the room, so we had to go to the last floor to use a common area for ironing and the iron was not working. Very busy in the mornings. The breakfast was really good.

Toilet didn’t flush properly. Toilet rattled when you sat down. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Staff insisted on knocking on the door at 8 am to refresh the frigobar!!! That was ridiculous! My girlfriend and I thought it even may have been a scam to get us to open the door and rob us. We called the desk and they said it was their policy and didn’t even apologize!!!!

Not a great experience for me

I had a tough time at this place. First, after only a few minutes in my original room, water began leaking from the ceiling. The staff were nice about switching me over to a room nearby. After that, I ordered room service, which I suspect gave me food poisoning. Overall, staff were friendly but it wasn’t the best stay for the reasons mentioned

This week in Belo Horizonte has been extremely hot and over 35C. I decided to find a hotel with a pool and went to the Mercure Lourdes. When I explained to the receptionist that I was looking for a pool to cool down, he told me I would to book a room however there was nothing available. I then opened the Expedia app on my phone while standing in front of him and made a reservation. He then told me the room’s air conditioner didn’t work and only the fan would come on (no cold air) I agreed in any case as I re-explained I only wanted to use the pool. After taking my passport to make a copy for checkin purposes he then gave me a key to access the elevator only. When I got to the pool area, I found that it was indoors and with 4 solid walls and a ceiling. After telling the receptionist my want for a pool, I expected he would have told me it was indoors. Frustrated I decided to leave only to remember he did not return my passport. I returned desk and asked a different receptionist about my passport. He looked at me like I was crazy in that they did not return my passport. I asked him to check again and he found it laying in the photocopier and sheepishly handed it back to me. I took my passport and with no words left the hotel; retuned to the Novotel where I am staying and happier. I do have a recommendation and it is to be very cautious if you select this property. Buyer beware is an understatement.

The hotel is wonderfull, the rooms very clean, and comfortable, the location is perfect and the staff was amazing, specially Mariana in the front desk and the housekeeper who unfortunately i forgot the name. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I definitely will be back soon and highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the amazing Belo Horizonte.

Staff is rude and the hotel is always packed

The front desk staff is very rude and not helpful at all. They actually tried to charge us for breakfast in a day we were not in Belo Horizonte. I had to show our boarding passes to prove that it was their mistake. The hotel is always packed because they have the largest convention center in the city. Elevators take forever and often come packed. The location is not the most desirable and you can hear the traffic from the 14th floor because the hotel is old and not equipped with soundproof windows. We will not be back.

This is a good hotel, especially for Brazil, where the hotels are several notches below almost everywhere else in my experience. My only complaint with it is that the coffee they serve at breakfast is unbelievably bad - all of it. There are 3 options - The machine that makes cappuccino and the like (very very bad - it's all pre-sweetened and WAY too hot); Brew coffee - undrinkable brown water; and a nespresso type machine - the best of the 3 but seriously mediocre for a hotel of this caliber. This is fairly endemic in most Brazilian hotels...

Business stay in Belo Horizonte

The Mercure is a great place to stay in Belo Horizonte - very clean, comfortable and modern. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was very good. There is a Japanese restaurant on the lobby level which was also good for dinner.

Family visit to Brazil- final hotel on trip

The Mercure is wonderful. After visiting tow previous hotels during our stay, Mercure was a breath of fresh air. Easy check-in, English speaking personnel, friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Nice gym and pool. When we visit Brazil again we will be staying here for sure! Amazing stay and felt very safe!

This property was centrally located but not necessarily a walkable area since I was there for fun and not business. The lobby was under construction and had I known it or been notified about it at the time of the reservation, I would have never there to start with. The hotel needs to be upgraded a little.

Friendly staff, hotel is a bit dated but fine!

This is a nice hotel but could do with some modernisation, especially in the bathrooms. Apart from that I had a nice stay here, I had one issue where there was a drainage smell in my room but they changed it for me immediately with no problems.

Unmemorable and uninspiring

The Mercure Belo Horizonte is located next to 2 great neighborhoods of Lourdes and Savassi. The hotel itself was fine, but completely unmemorable. I found the breakfast basic and uninspiring. In particular the scrambled eggs and croissants, which tasted cheap and nasty. Whilst I appreciated a complimentary bottle of water in my room, I thought that just 1x 250ml bottle was a little stingy! Every other hotel I've visited gives at least 2. And there always seemed to be a queue at front desk. This is understandable for busy hotels, but it was a shame that staff weren't more enthusiastic, guest focused and efficient to balance this. They seemed to waste time taking to each other, rather than guests.

Freezing Cold!

My experience was not very pleasant because of how cold the room was. You will find the button “heat” in the furnace but it will only blow out freezing cold air (so cold that you can’t walk barefoot in the room. I called the maintenance guy and he said that they have no heat option. That the heat was actually just an A/C. I’m Brazilian, the weather outside was perfect, but inside the room felt like I was in NYC in the winter. I stayed there for three days because unfortunately I had already paid for it. (the nice staff gave me 3 blankets though... yes, on Summer!!)

Excellent choice in Belo Horizonte

The Mercure Lourdes is my "go to" hotel in Belo Horizonte. Consistently good. Needed to print a document and was convenient to do so from business center. Wifi is Aldo good.

Lamentável

Hotel já está ultrapassado, mobiliário velho, quarto com odor desagradável, ar condicionado antigo, elevadores sempre com problema ou parados. Já não tem mais um padrão Mercure de atendimento. Usei muito esse hotel antes e durante a pandemia. Caiu demais.

Boa estadia

O hotel é bem localizado e o pessoal de recepção atencioso e educado. Tivemos um problema de reposição de frigobar e quando ligamos para pedir agua, mandaram quente e quando perguntamos se tinha gelada, a resposta foi um pouco ríspida. Outra coisa, tínhamos direito a uma entrada no restaurante japonês e só ficamos sabendo no dia antes de ir embora e não conseguimos usufruir. Esse cartão deveria ser entregue no momento do check in.

Nunca mais me hospede. Péssimo.

Com exceção de alguns func., o staff é extremamente ineficiente para um hotel dessa categoria. O quarto não estava preparado para receber hóspedes, pois tive que ficar pedindo que colocassem itens básicos e o que recebi em resposta foi uma falta de educação sem precedentes. O chuveiro estava com problemas pedi que me trocassem de quarto, não quiseram, ofereceram para consertar. Aceitei, pois não tinha opção. O rapaz foi atencioso, mas não corrigiu o problema totalmente. Pedi sabonete, fiquei esperando uma eternidade e tive que descer na recepção para buscar, ao que o funcionário disse que estava atendendo muita gente no balcão (só tinham duas pessoas ali), mas que já ia levar. Peguei os sabonetes e fui tomar meu banho. No dia seguinte a camareira me perguntou de forma rude se eu ia liberar o quarto para ela limpar ou não. Respondi que já ia sair e que ela podia limpar (sendo recepcionada por uma cara feia).E para coroar, pedi um delivery, reclamei com o app de entrega que nunca que chegava e descobri que meu pedido já estava (há tempos) na portaria e ninguém me avisou. Quando fui buscar a comida, fria, pedi que enviassem papel higiênico ao meu quarto, o rapaz anotou e disse que ia mandar. 40min depois, desci, porque na portaria o telefone não atendia, reclamei e ele (com cara feia), indagou se não tinham levado, como se fosse uma surpresa. Chamou o rapaz, que pelo visto não sabia de nada tb. 10min depois o rapaz me entrega o papel no quarto para EU colocar (cara feia tb)!!!

Uma decepção o atendimento, o bifet de cafe da manha não estava no padrao de um Mercury. Nao tem abastecimento do frigobar, a recepção não atende o telefone quando você liga do quarto.

Estadia maravilhosa, mas com alguns pontos ruins

O hotel de um modo geral é incrível. Porém alguns pontos deixaram a desejar. Primeiro ponto a questão do estacionamento pago a parte que não fui informada antes, ainda bem que perguntei, senão pagaria 45 reais a diária. Segundo ponto sobre a piscina , muito pequena no tamanho e na altura.( Batia na minha coxa). Terceiro ponto, o café da manhã. Simplesmente maravilhoso, porém no primeiro dia a mesa que sentei não tinha nenhum talher, somente uma colher. Já no segundo dia já tinha , mas o abacaxi extremamente azedo. Quarto ponto a internet....terrível, em toda minha estadia tive que usar meus dados móveis. Quinto ponto, não fomos avisados sobre a arrumação e reposição dos quartos. Tivemos que perguntar a camareira que nos informou que o horário seria até 12hrs. Fora isso , a cama é super confortável, tv grande, quarto espaçoso, banheiro top, fomos muito bem tratados pelos funcionários.

Decepção Total

O Hotel está bem antigo, precisando de reforma nos quartos. Enxoval (roupa de cama e toalhas) bem velhos (estavam até finos de tanto uso). Limpeza do quarto muito ruim (chão sujo, cama mal arrumada, inclusive, com fios de cabelo e marca de cabeça no travesseiro, falta de reposição do frigobar e dos produtos do banheiro, não recolhimento de louças sujas). Cama para acompanhante muito desconfortável e instável. Funcionários mal vestidos e sem treinamento algum. Recepção que não atende telefone. Estacionamento sem manobrista e sem apoio.

Ótimas instalações, atendimento ruim

O quarto e muito bom. Grande, confortável, limpo.... Mas o atendimento dos funcionários, muito ruim, principalmente no café da manhã. No primeiro dia comemos no salão principal e a partir do 2º dia mudaram para o Pilotis, mas em ambos os ambientes o atendimento deixou muito a desejar. Faltavam utensílios, comidas demoravam para repor, não tinham pratos para servir, faltavam bolws para fruta... E o que estava ruim, piorava quando pedíamos auxílio aos funcionários e eles tinham extrama mas vontade de atender. A recepcionista do Cafe da Manhã chegou a me dizer: "ACHO Que devem estar repondo", num absoluto pouco caso. Uma outra funcionária, que parecia ser a coordenadora do local, fingia que nem me ouvia. Decepção total. Na recepção, quando chegamos, solicitei o carrinho de malas e um senhor, que estava batendo papo com outros funcionários, falou que eu aguardasse, pois um outro funcionário ia como dar minhas malas no carrinho. Desintetesse total

Boa localização e bom custo-benefício

Hotel bem localizado e com boa estrutura. Cama confortável. Café da manhã muito bom. O check in foi rápido e o atendimento eficiente. Voltaria a me hospedar nesse hotel. Senti falta de alguns itens no banheiro, como touca de banho e cotonetes. O estacionamento é pago (R$45,00 por dia).

Não volto a ficar nesse hotel

A estadia curta e de forma geral foi ok, porém o check in foi péssimo, cheguei no hotel às 16:50 e fui obrigado a esperar por mais de uma hora por um quarto, até quarto já ocupado por outro hóspede me mandaram. Muito desorganizados

Muito bom

Hotel aconchegante, luxo intermediário, atendimento ao hóspede foi excelente, funcionários muito bem receptivos e atenciosos, café da manhã razoável. Possui sauna e academia!! Piscina no interior, coberta, achei pequena.

Hotel cheio de pegadinhas para enganar os hóspede.

Hotel fala que tem estacionamento, realmente tem mas é pago e isso não é informado. O café da manhã sim , avisa que tem disponível mas por uma sobre taxa. Não tem restaurante o hotel tudo terceirizado na repeccao . E se preparem pois os preços são padrão Nova York. O estacionamento custa 45 reais por dia.

Hotel só piora. Vc paga mais caro na diária, para um quarto melhor. Chega lá, a máquina de café quebrada. Capsulas usadas no lugar das novas. Não repõe sabonetes, não repõe shampoo e condicionador. Uma tragedia! Muito ruim mesmo. E não adianta reclamar. Eles não estão nem aí para o cliente.

Há um ano me hospedei para participar de congresso. Foi terrível! Entraram no meu quarto enquanto eu lá estava para trocar televisão. Limpeza horrível. Toalhas velhas. Desta vez, tudo diferente. Hotel repaginado. Funcionários educados e atenciosos. Toalhas novas. Muito bom!

Gostei, passei apenas uma noite. Mas o hotel tem conforto, boa cama, bom chuveiro, bem localizado, dá para descansar legal. Ficamos num andar alta, gentileza do recepcionista na chegada.
