Great simple hotel - would stay there again

Stayed for one night while travelling through Kaipeda. Although the room was basic, it was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The buffet breakfast was extensive with lots of options. Highly recommend.

Overall good value and excellent staff

A little expensive for a 3 star but overall one of the best "3" stars we have stayed in. Great staff, very clean and extremely comfortable beds, good size shower room. The WiFi was the best experienced (plenty of bandwidth and fast). Reasonable breakfast. Safe/- secure (free) parking on the premises and cCentrally located.

The property is a few minutes walk from the old town. The rooms are a good size, clean and with adequate facilities. Breakfast had a good choice, the local cake was nice. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Ok ish

Booked two double rooms costing the same however one was twice the size of another room. Not what you'd expect when paying the same price. Bed was very uncomfortable. Mattress was so soft, you'd think you're sleeping on water bed! Double bed had two single sheets on it overlapping. Very irritating when turning during the night and sheets coming off the bed. Overall service is great, breakfast was very nice, location very convenient for the town centre.

Would come back

Clean and fairly large room. Excellent bed though a double was really two twins pushed together. Very quiet. Friendly welcome and surprisingly good breakfast. Good neighbourhood eight - ten minutes walk to old town. There is no reception staff between 2400-0700 (the breakfast people arrive earlier though).

The hotel is well situated next to Old Town and places to eat. Free parking in front of hotel was perfect (but in summer I believe not all guests will have space and I would recommend to ask if they can make a reservation). Check-in was smooth & took only a minute as they had already done pre check-in and my room key was ready. Room was spacious. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Breakfast included a variety of dishes and drinks, basic but tasty. The only minor drawback - they only offer shower gel and it's in inconvenient container on the wall (had trouble to get it out).

Decent stay

Everything was ok but the room had a very strong air freshener smell which we were unable to get rid of, even when we kept the windows open for a few hours.

Stayed over long weekend. Very happy with the hotel. Really good location - close to the centre while away from the main street. Very spacious room with large bed. Shopping, restaurants and old city in a walking distance (literally 3-10 minutes). Very nice and helpful staff. Free parking, limited spaces in front of the hotel but more places behind the gate (automated) on the back side of the hotel. No real negative remarks, except maybe really small things about the bathroom, which are in no way a dealbreaker: fixed showerhead on the wall (I prefer one which I can hold myself), soap and shampoo in one bottle, unusual (to me) toilet paper (not in a roll but sheets in the box). Well, I guess I am a bit picky... Also, I should say that price was very good.

Great Hotel near the old town

A very clean traditional hotel with free parking in and ideal location at the start of the old town. The staff were very helpful and freely gave local information and advice. This was one of the cleanest and well maintained hotels we have ever stayed in. It does initially seem very basic, however the location, cleanliness, quality of breakfast and comfort of bed make up for any deficiencies in other areas.They do not serve evening meals but there is no need because there are numerous restaurants nearby. If the hotel would supplied tea and coffee making facilities in the room, I would give it five stars

Traditional Hotel with friendlly helpful staff

Stayed here for one night after getting off ferry. We arrived at 9 am and the hotel managed to get us into our room straight away which was wonderful. Comfortable beds, great breakfast choices and very friendly helpful staff. A water cooler in receptio so you can fill your water bottles before you head out. Occasionally takes coach parties, so work your breakfast around that if you can. A small stock of items for sale which you might have forgotten - toothpaste, toothbrush etc. Very good value for money

Nice historic building, iffy location

Nicely rehabbed historic building, but it's surrounded by Soviet-era factories and flats. Kind of a hike to old town too. Rooms are smallish, and if you are over 6' tall, expect to bump your heed a lot on ceiling/skylights if you are on top floor. Cheap and good value though, so worth considering a stay here.

Relaxing day

We were just passing through for one night and one of us was recovering from food poisoning, so our energy levels were low. The hotel room was good for relaxing after a stroll through the old town. The staff were incredibly friendly and even let us into the room early. Great location if you want to be close to the Old Town.

Good Professional Service Staff

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for two nights in August. We arrived after sunset and there was a heavy downpour. My wife went in to check in and enquire on where to park our car. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. She immediately knew who she was before she could open her mouth. Unfortunately, there was no parking space left. Nonetheless, the staff was very helpful and tried her best to locate one for us. Halfway through, she was swarmed by another group of rowdy guests. Faced with so many questions from different people, she still maintained her composure and friendliness. Truly great professional service. The room was clean and comfortable to rest for the night. The TV channels had limited English programmes, though. In the morning, we were surprised that breakfast was complimentary, even though it was not part of the original package. The food was pretty awesome. It was the first time we were introduced to the Lithuanian layered cake and we fell in love with it.

Clean and cosy room with incredibly helpful staffs

The room is big enough (attic-styled). The location is not perfect but the old town is in walking-distance. The staffs are very very helpful. I enjoyed the stay

Great hotel!! great service!!!!!!!!!! That is the best place to go in Klaipeda, if you r looking for a normal price. (I have no idea what people are talking about the factory near by, my window was right near there and it did not bother me at all).

The Memel Hotel is not a posh hotel but for the price is a bargain. It is in a newly refurbished pre WWII building. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a bar. The buffet breakfast perfectly adequate. There is free parking. Most importantly it is located within walking distance of the old center of Klaipeda with its shops and other attractions. There is no dinner service but there are options close by. I recommend the Memel and would stay there again.

Hard to describe

Reading the reviews I thought we are going to a three star hotel with four to five star quality; however it turned out that this hotel is a an excellent three star hotel and not more, the room and bathroom is still small, no TV, no safe and hard to connect Wifi. Breakfast was better than a much more expensive hotel we moved to afterwards, the staff are great, the location is great; walking distance to old town Klaipeda (which doesn't have much to offer) and short drive to Ferry to Nida (an over-rated spot in my opinion) Recommended if you are trying to save money, otherwise a more expensive hotel in Palanga is my recommendation.

Warm in the summer

The hotel is recently refurbished, has clean rooms and very good prices. The breakfast is basic, location OK and the receptionists are nice. The brewery next door smells heavily when the wind is right or wrong, depending on your love of beer, and the room was very warm and humid when the outside temperature rose above 25C. (We bought a fan to remedy this, but AC or some other form of temperature regulation in the room would be better..)

Really nice hotel, reasonably priced. Clean and comfy room with free wifi and nice bar with good service. Good breakfast with option to sit in a nice outdoor pavilion in good weather. Street a bit seedy but parking provided and 5 min walk to old town of Klaipeda.

ideal hotel in Old Town

This was the perfect place to stay--completely modernized historic building in the charming Old Town, which I enjoyed walking around in. Be sure to check out the history museum, which has prehistoric and Roman artifacts all the way up to 20th century items.

Eli iltamenoihin tms. el autoa tarvitse. Pysäköinti oli heinäkuussa osittain ruuhkaista, mutta paikka löytyi aina.

Das Zimmer wirkte auf den ersten Blick etwas altbacken, aber es ist alles da, was man braucht, geräumiges Bad. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und werden es auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Würden immer wieder buchen. Wir hatten eine super Aufenthalt.hier.

Mycket bra hotell m härlig terrass

Hotellet låg mycket bra till för alla våra utflykter. Det kändes fräscht på hotell, matsal och rum. Ofräscht kändes endast heltäckningsmattan i sovrummet. Den var inte ren, lite småplock på hela mattan nog mer beroende på dålig kvalitet på mattan än på städerskan. Personalen i matsalen lite mindre serviceminded än i receptionen där de var hjälpsamma o trevliga. Ett stort plus för den härliga terrassen där vi satt på kvällarna med trötta ben o pratade o laddade våra telefoner. Just när vi bodde där var det mycket tyst o lugnt trots att det fanns ganska många gäster. Skulle gärna välja detta hotellet igen.

Un 3 stelle datato, sufficiente per una notte. Forse avrebbe bisogno di una rinfrescatina, specie nella tinteggiatura rosa spento delle camere. Colazione senza molta scelta. Buona la posizione ed il parcheggio nel cortile.

DasHotel liegt relativ zentral am Rand der Altstadt, alle interessanten Ziele sind zu Fuß erreichbar!

Utmärkt och personligt hotell

Memel hotel är ett prisvärt hotell med utmärkt service och alla bekvämligheter man kan förvänta sig av ett 3-stjärnigt hotell. Personalen är mycket vänlig och personlig, man känner sig som hemma på Memel hotell. Bra, gratis och säker parkering samt gångavstånd till centrum. Hotellet är granne med ett bryggeri som serverar prisvärd mat, gott öl och vin men kom tidigt på kvällen till bryggeriet så du inte blir utan sittplats.

For me the bed sleeps good, conveniently located not too much noise and value for money is outstanding. Will stay here next time again.

Excellent service

Excellent service at a reasonably priced hotel in a beautiful old building. The overall standard is decent basic. Don’t expect a five start property but a well looked after hotel that I can wholeheartedly recommend.
