Excellent location. Very convenient to walk around the city. Excellent staff service. One of the best hotels in the city
Great hotel with lively lounge bar. Would gladly stay here again.
Excellent
Best breakfast buffet, especially Vietnamese noodle soup.
I like the polite and efficient service. Beautiful hotel
Stayed here after our overnight train was cancelled, easy to book last minute and the staff were friendly and booked an early morning (4am) taxi for us
Nice hotel with clean room. Walkable distance to major attractions (Hoan Kiem lake, old quarters). Friendly staff.
Nothing negative I can stay- everything was perfect
Will definitely be returning!
Excellent all round! Nothing negative to say!
beautiful hotel, great buffet
Noisy as they received a big group of Indian visitors. Bath tub cannot drain properly. My colleague also had to wait for 1 hour before he can get his room, even though we arrived at hotel well above 9PM.
Ideal location for staying in Hanoi
Likes: nice hotel, good location, and friendly staff. Dislikes: food was okay, pricey but not tasty (cake was dried and steak was chewy)
This is a great hotel. Modern and spacious. Walking distance to all the action. Nice outdoor pool area. Friendly and accommodating staff.
Beautiful well maintained property, great staff, great location, good sized rooms, very nice gym and pool
Great Hotel with amenities
Stayed over for one night . Had to leave early the next day. Very comfortable bed and good English TV Channels to entertain and for news. Highly recommended and surely would return again Had a casino inside, wonderful place
Convenient transportation and good facilities
The hotel and staff were nice, we did expect a much better breakfast than what we got, but it was ok and the bed was comfortable.
Excellent luxury city hotel with full amenities.
Check out was ridiculously slow
Good location and convenience for group travelling in Hanoi
The rooms are nice and big. The breakfast buffet has tons of options. The service for a big hotel was not great. They asked me to switch rooms after checking in. Two workers entered our room unannounced. Very unprofessional
Very kind and responsive staff. Nice restaurant Moscacia
Melia Hanoi offers a very unique experience. I attended a huge wedding party in the evening and conducted successful business meetings during the day, all on premise. The rooms and the services are top notch! Airport transfer was first class and quick.
A very good 4*+ hotel in convenient location
Melia hotel is located in a convenient district , walkable to Hoan Kiem lake and not far from the old quarter of Hanoi. The hotel staff (front desk and in breakfast restaurant) is very helpful and attentive. Our suite is very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is a bit below average. The foods provided at breakfast was not fresh and not of good quality. The free breakfast (included in the price) is not particularly good. But the (paid) meals in the restaurant at dinner were good enough. In overall we rate this hotel 4*+.
Great location
From the receptionist who let me have the kind of room I asked to the valet who helped me with my luggage.., and the guy who helped to book my taxi, the cleaning ladies who found my glasses before I checked out .. this place is full amazing people . I will return..
Hanoi
Perfect
The service was really top notched. The staffs really take every feedback into consideration and act upon them almost immediately. Location is ideal. Definitely the only hotel I will stay each time I go back to Hanoi be it for work or leisure.
Great location, bar,staff
This was a great stay at Melia! Location is wonderful for walking places, we didn’t get a cab at all except for arranging the hotel services to pick us up at the airport (which was also a lifesaver and very comfortable). The staff are so accommodating and quick workers. Would certainly stay again!
Excellent location, food and service
Excellent location. Nice room. Good restaurant in the Hotel and nearby.
Is a little noisy sometimes I can hear outside noise and next door noise
Good services
Convenient
Perfect
i stayed 3nights . location is ok . not new hotel but it is clean . break fast was perfect. but she picked up my plate before finishi ,,,,,, any way perfect hotel for me .
Irresponsible Hotel Management
I highly recommend Muslim people to stay away from this hotel, as the ingredients of food what you will order for in-room dining will most probably not be in line with how it is specified in the menu. For example, if you will order a Mosaico Burger, you will have a big piece of bacon in your burger; and when you will complain about that to hotel management, you will not be taken into serious and only hear insincere excuse words, but nothing else.
Exceptional hotel! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days stay and will definitely book here again.
Nice hotel 5 star
Have stayed many times. Always meets expectations
Thank you so much
The staff and food were amazing (thank you). At the time of my stay 2023.02, the hotel rooms are very dated. Dirty carpets and fairly worn-out beds in my opinion.
The location is perfect and the service is excellent.
The hotel is located in city center. The rooms have carpet, which are worn out, dirty from many years. We stayed 5 days and clearly they do not clean the rooms well daily. There is no option in room availability for double beds with shower only, showers are only available in king size bed rooms. All double bed rooms only have tubs which are hard to get into if you are older, definitely not handicap accessible. I would commend staff member Martha BG on her guest experience reach out, she made a huge difference.
Most helpful and friendly staff
Overall pretty good location. It is walking distance to Hanoi exhibition centre. Breakfast selection is good.
The service is so nice
The hotel is in a nice location that is closed to everyplace in a walking distance.
Friendly staff
Highly Recommended
Highly recommend to stay here. I love the bfast and the pillows menu. Will definitely be back. 😁
y Recommend
Great location. Superior workout facility! Very helpful staff. Beautiful room!
The hotel is in an accessible part of town, between Ho Hoan Kiem district and the more modern part of town. We were upgraded to a room on the higher floors, which was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. (The most impressive staff at the hotel were at the El Patio restaurant. They were very efficient and friendly.) Would highly recommend to others for a peaceful stay in Hanoi.
This is a modern and clean property located in the French Quarter with several dinning options around. It's within walking distance to Hoang Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter. The room was nice and clean with good amenities. Hotel staff was very nice and offered great services, especially at the lounge on the 20th floor. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to stay in Hanoi.
Location clean safe and well occupied and has good view
excellent.more than expected. great room and hotel
Excellent Hotel Perfect Location
Really enjoyed my stay. I was unfamiliar with the brand, but they have really made a great impression. Excellent location near all the attractions and in a nice part of town. The hotel itself is a large beautiful Deco hotel up to par with any other well known 5 star brand. The service was GREAT 6 star! An in the restaurant was wonderful as were our check in people and porters. The restaurant was great with a huge variety of foods representing the entire world. All fresh, clean and cooked to perfection! Presentation was luxurious! The rooms have great AC and nice amenities with comfortable beds. They are large and well appointed, and a variety if international television stations. Plenty of elevators as well. Best of all, our silver status at Hotels.com was recognized and we received 15% off the restaurant bills AND we were upgraded to fantastic suites! Overall, I was VERY pleased and glad to see they cooperate with, and offer perks for my favorite online booking site Hotels.com! I will seek out Melia hotels to stay in from now on! Well Done!

Excellent Hotel
Wonderful hotel and one of the greatest hotel breakfasts I've ever seen, in any hotel anywhere!!
Very nice hotel. Very clean, very helpful staff. Very good located
3 star price for 5 star hotel!
5 star hotel at 3 star price. It is a famous hotel and even North Korea President Kim Jong Un also stayed in this hotel!
A really lovely place to stay and the staff were really great. Great massage and pedicure too!
hanoi first time
very good location, great service
Eveything was fine. More variety in breakfast buffey menu was recommended.
Everything you need and more...
I stayed four days on my way to Hue..every aspect of the hotel is excellent but l would like to praise the helpful staff, particularly the concierge who printed out train tickets for me ; and rang my hotel in Hue to inform them of my e.t.a and arrange a pickup at the station.
The rooms are lovely. The pool / spa facilities are run down and in need of renovations.
Nice hotel but some minor flaws
Hotel is convenient, staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a good variety of food choices. I was upgraded to a suite room. Two disappointments were water kept spilling out even when shower door was closed. Obviously there’s s a big gap when the door was closed. Also the lift corridor has a strong pleasant smell.
Not 5 star - a disapointing stay :(
Our last night in Hanoi - so thought we would do 5 star hotel, wow what a disapointment ! Upon checking in we were told we only had 1 room booked, i thought this was strange as there was 4 of us (kids 10 & 13), all my paperwork was in suitcase, hotel must be right. They were going to charge us for the kids for breakfast and also gave us a room with 2 very small double beds. Checking in took ages and it wasn't busy at all. Once in the room I checked my paperwork and I had booked 2 rooms with a request for interconecting rooms or at least side by side). I rang reception and this took them over 45 mins to sort out, I asked why wasnt I given the two rooms that I had already booked and paid for - no reason - it was weird to say the least. We were offered no apology for this drama at all - very dissapointing. We moved rooms and had an interconecting room - this took them over 30mins to open the doors between the rooms. My husband went to the bar for a drink, they sat him down and after 10mins of no one coming to serve him he had to call for service (there was no one int he bar) except for 3 or 4 staff - but no one was offering any service. We had constant trouble with our room keys not working and they had to be changed over - very annoying especially when it works in the lift but not your door.!!! The pool isn't very deep and is small. We found that alot of taxi's or tour bus wouldnt drop you off at the front door - which was annoying. I would never stay here again.
Super comfortable. Great stay. Will be back again.
Super value and comfortable stay
For the price paid, the big room size is a great value. It is also clean and comfortable to stay in. The staff are all very polite and well trained.
3rd time at the Hanoi Melia, love this hotel, ticks all the boxes for me.
Great hotel near to many restaurants.
It is nice and clean room and very good breakfast. but expensive.
great place for business travelers.
great place for business travelers. well appointed and well positioned in the city.
Brilliant stay with lovely staffs
Great service and everything was good from room cleanliness to comfort of bed. The staffs were very friendly. Location wise, is near enough to old quarters but you will need transport.
Overall, we are very happy with the hotel. There is only one minor issue. The toilet seat cover in the lobby restroom needs to be changed. It is over-used.
Good Melia hotel, not the grandest Melia I’ve stayed in but still good. The hotel location is fantastic as it’s easy to walk to various key locations in the city. The rooms are clean and well presented. The bed is massive and was very comfortable and I really liked the pillow menu. The cinnamon pillow is really relaxing. Amenities were plentiful and contained everything one expects from such a hotel. The shower over the bath is difficult to get into and I would imagine would be very hard to manage for someone elderly. It also has a design fault as water leaks a bit and gets on the floor. Turn down service was random and not consistent. I had to always request for this and expect it should be offered as standard in a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was the best I’ve had in my travels in SE Asia. So many choices it was unbelievable. The pho was very good too. The spa facilities (decor, lighting, smell, music) could be improved to make it more relaxing. I booked a massage which was reasonably priced but just felt something was missing from the experience. Had to request a change in therapist. It would not take much to make this part of the hotel more relaxing. This is a business hotel with lots of important people staying here and I stayed here a day after the North Korea leader, Kim Jong Un had left. The decorations especially the orchids at the hotel were really great and I’m not sure if that was the norm or whether that was for that occasion.
Great hotel but very noisy
Great hotel spoilt by noisy nightclub on rear.
The wait staff was great. We could not understand why ordering off the menus did not include free still water. Breakfast buffet was wonderful and accommodated all desires. Thanks for all the amenities available for hygiene. Very nice stay.
Overall great property in a good, central location. The lobby is really nice. The room was very nice too, however, I was staying here on two separate occasions, and for the second trip they gave me a room with some issues, including a weird drain/hole issue in the bathroom. The rooms definitely need some updates. The spa area is noticeably dated too, though serviceable. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent with lots of food options.
Very central to the sites we wanted to see. Great breakfast.
Good location and staffs are friendly, however the property is dated, need attention, wall between room quite thin so you can easily hear people talking next door which is not good. Gym and lift are both so old When checked in staff did not acknowledge or advise me of my Expedia VIP gold benefit instead of when I checked out which is not helpful. Overall still a nice place to stay.
CNY stay
It would be better if bathroom shower tub is enclosed. Too much water spayed to the bathroom floor every time someone took shower
Have own GPS!
The stay and cuisine were wonderful but the outdoor concierge/bell service was questionable on a number of occasions. Despite asking the belllady to have the taxi driver GPS my destination, they didn’t and the drivers were lost (doubling my fare). Even asking for directions, I could hardly find any of the places I wanted to go, based on their explanation.
What is vip benefit? I’ve never known If something like that, let me know before ck in
The Melia Hanoi was a great hotel, especially for the price. It's a 5 star hotel but not as expensive as the Metropole maybe, but much cheaper. It's not directly in the old quarter, which is better because the area around the Melia is much less crowded. And you can walk to the old quarter easily. The staff is very nice and the room was very attractive and clean. Took a little time to figure out how to use the light switches and the master switch. Overall, would absolutely stay at the Melia again.
Professional staff, good location and good facilities
Eonderful place to stay! At the Patio restaurer the food was excellent.
Quality 5 star hotel in the heart of the city with professional service and helpful staff.
A great, well run hotel maybe a bit on the expensive side
Melia could be a great hotel. It has a great location, wonderful rooms, and everything is kept very clean. However there are are 2 big glaring issues that take it down to the rank of a very mediocre hotel. First and foremost, the noise. When I come out of a 20 hours trip, the last thing I want is to be kept awake until the late hours of the night due to loud banging disco noise. I was on 9th floor and every night it was disco music vibrating the walls of my room. When asked to investigate, the staff said they couldn't find anything. Sure. Guests should have right to quiet enjoyment of their room in any hotel, and Melia is truly terrible in that area. Second is the food. The quality of local food is very poor compared to other restaurants. Melia, if you see this, olease do something about your noise issues that people have been apparently reporting for years. Doing nothing paints your hotel and brand in a very bad lighr, and I know I will never set foot in any Melia hotel in the future based on this experience.
Well located hotel with good facilities like 24 hour gym, nice bar on level 3 for drinks and also a mini casino / Gaming lounge next door.
This how you run a hotel. Stayed three different times during December 2018 and had the same consistantly great experience. Highly recommend
Great location. Easy walking distance to restaurants, massages, laundry, transportation, night market right down the street! Excellent staff, morning buffet, beautiful room!
Spacious room and good spread of food at the club floor
Good location and excellent breakfast. Comfy rooms
Luxury hotel in central Hanoi next to French quarter and old quarter. Large rooms, super friendly staff, great food. Very pleased!
Good hotel corporate rather than guest friendly
This hotel is very good. Staff are excellent. However the following should be noted. The food and room service are grossly overpriced. The sun does not reach the pool area until 2pm for those that are interested in a sun tan. The pool is freezing and was never used during my 5 day. stay. The rest ofvthe spa area is very good. My room had an over bath shower which for the less able would be a dangerous manouvre.
Amazing hotel with wonderful views over Hanoi
The only downside is the restaurant which is not that great for what it costs. But the rest is simply great.
