1st class staff & service. Lots of food items to choose from at meals and coffee/tea snacks available at all times.
Services is very bad the food is not good We purchased exclusive food and drinks . When we arrived around 6 pm the room was not available When we checked in they said not everything included. We stayed hungry all the time ! Really i want refund we stayed room all the time
No air conditioning they are rode bad service no internet
Loved it. The staff are not enough at night on reception. The same person performs the following tasks, the customer service, room service, concierge and others. the staff everywhere is humble and sweat. However the reception staff lack some professionalism and need lots of training. The resort is highly recommended, I will come again for sure.
The only thing we didn’t like about this hotel is that we make reservation thinking it was all inclusive resort but isn’t . We end up paying much more than the rate we got on Expedia for this hotel. The room had a sea view but the AC didn’t work properly so we had a hard time sleeping . Food overall it is decent but the drinks are not cold and they don’t serve ice . Private beach on premises but don’t expect servers to give you drinks etc ( you have to walk to the hotel to get drinks or water ) we asked for room service and we never got someone to answer the phone so don’t expect good service unfortunately. They need to update this hotel especially the rooms and provide the guests a better experience . I’m from Florida USA and also spend lots of time in the Dominican Republic for Vacation and Definetly the concept of “ all inclusive “ it’s completely different .. this is not a 5 star hotel resort . They need better personal trained and if they advertise as a 5 star resort they need to raise their standards. We traveled with family ( total of 4)
This resort is a big 4 star old resort, shouldn’t be 5 stars, AC didn’t work, so they said sorry we hope your next trip will be better, also same set of shampoo unless you have to ask personally, plus no iron or ironing table and I have to pay to get it done. 1/5 Food is good but the salads and sweets parts are full of bugs cause they keep them close to the doors. 2/5 Service is good when they see you, but they are everywhere and not organized. 3/5 View and location are the best thing about his hotel, not super busy area and not dirty 5/5 I stayed in this hotel back in 2017 and it was 10 times better, this time very bad, I think it got old.
Marti -this place needs a major makeover
1. This is not a five star hotel. Maybe a 2.5? It may have been five star sometime ago but now it looks more like a historical ruin. 2. They play loud music constantly from 10am-midnight. If you need to rest during those hours, good luck. 3. The food is average. Nothing special. 4. This place needs a major remodeling. Everything is falling apart, old, and rusty.
This ia not a 5 star hotel. I would rate it at max 4 star. Room cleaning is very bad. They didn't clean our room even if we had put on the door the sign to please clean the room. After going to the reception to see whan can be done about the cleaning of the room ,they said that the staff for cleaning left and they will clean the next day. Let me say that "cleaning" for us meant new towels and that was it. Overall it had good food. Not the most various but very tasty the ones they had. Hotel staff from the bar were the only ones worth 5 star.
It was really good but a little bit over priced.
Two nights, too many things gone wrong
I stayed here for two nights in a room with a ‘forest view’. First of all, there is no forest view. It all burned down in a forest fire so you’ll be overlooking a charred hill. Of course they don’t tell you this, so you’ll still pay the premium. I got food poisoning from their buffet on the first night. I was throwing up all night. The next day I went to their on-site doctor who tried to refer us to a private hospital that apparently doesn’t accept travel insurance. Speaking to locals, this is a scam - the hotel takes commission for referring people to that hospital. Instead, we went to the state hospital which was closer and covered by insurance. The treatment cost 50 euros compared to the 600 the hotel was asking for. The rooms, outdoors area and beach were nice enough but a little dated. The room was mostly clean although the bed had sand in it, so it felt like it wasn’t changed properly. If you’re foreign and can’t speak Turkish, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for its services either - the spa offered me a 90 euro discount from the treatments just because I could speak the language. I don’t normally write reviews but hopefully this is enough to tell you that this hotel should be a hard pass despite the great location and photos.
I had a good time, though they mixed up my room, I paid for a double bed but was given something else.
Property was great room was also great none of the outdoor pools or bar areas were open due to it being there off season so maybe next time ill get to experience it all.
Last minute stay for a change of scenery
Very comfortable bed. Great view to the sea. Lovely freshly made omelette for breakfast and good coffee.
Living in its glory days
The resort is quite well built and the initial designer had a great vision and executed it well but unfortunately the new management has not kept in with the times and have let the property go into disarray. A simple renovation of the property would indeed but the resort back as a must visit destination in the region.
Outdated hotel
Very bad conditions . Rooms are not clean. Very old . Bathroom is very old . With rust around bathtub. Stains on the floor. This hotel is not 5 stars hotel . It is less then 2 stars. Food was ok. Stuff doesn’t speak English. Very disappointed.
I like the outdoor facilities as pool and sea ,gardens are amaizing ,but hotel is disaster very old and not clean and rooms are very bad , AC is very bad , sound proof was very bad , nobody from stuf talk english so my stay was terrible and i lost one item from my room as well
It is ok no wow with price they both
The two big issues i had was AC wasn’t cold and room smelled bad. I couldnt sleep as it felt like a sauna. I booked two nights and after the first i asked to cancel and would eat the cost for the first. But they said they couldnt do anything about it as i booked through hotels.com. There waa no social distancing and few if any people wore mask which was troubling in the buffet area. There is no way
Perfect overnight stay in Marmaris
Stunning location especially as the sun rises over the island opposite which was beautiful to watch as we had a sea view room. The staff are really nice and helpful. The room was good but a little tired, they need a freshen up. I imagine the atmosphere is different in summer peak season but I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet and a place I’ll revisit in the quiet season again
Nice place with great views. Good food. Start was nice and helpful
First of all - This is absoluetly not a 5 * Hotel! It is an old and dated hotel with humid old rooms, poorly decorated, very tiny, very low ceiling. Food was very poor, the way the food was served is like in an auto service restaurant - pull the tray style. Waiters are not attentive - empty and dirty plates can stay on your table for 30 mins without anybody even bother to collect them. We paid 3 nights with All Inclusive - but we slept only 1 night there and had 1 breakfast only and 1 dinner. the price also should be 5 times less and marked as an average 3* Hotel. except the Bell boy who was helping us with he luggage - who was very useful and nice - all other things and services int his Hotel are even under a 3* Hotel. Avoid this Hotel!
Turkish health department needs to close this Hotel down as soon as possible. I’ve been on the road going to different Turkish cities for the past 2 weeks. I have never felt so exposed to COVID-19 like I did at this hotel. I think the hotel is occupied to full capacity, the hotel staff did not wear nor cared if guests are wearing masks or social distance. I felt like I was at a corona party. Other than that. Check in took forever, food is so bad. We only ate lunch once at the hotel, and the rest of the stay we ate at all our meals at the restaurant by the boardwalk. Rooms smelled like cigarette smoke. You have to wake up at 5am to find a beach chair. Staff is very rude. I do not blame the staff one bit. The problem with this hotel is Management they need to be replaced. The night Manager had his nose sticking out of his mask while walking all over the lobby. Management does not implement COVID-19 guidelines because they are busy setting guidelines to charge people €5 to play billiard for an hour. We are talking about almost $400 a night all inclusive resort. When I asked why would they charge for billiards? Front desk said” we have over 500 guests, if we didn’t charge them they will all play billiards”. So? What if guests did? what’s the problem? Stay at a $50 4star hotel in town is much better and safer than this place. Stay away
Hotel is very old needs to be renovated and air conditioning is very bad.
Great location with 50 year history behind. Pleased to spend our holiday here.
Nice layout, beautiful pools and gardens. Good position to Iclemer.
Excellent food and food service. Property is very old, carpets on the corridors are in terrible condition. The cleaning cats with full of dirty sheets, towels were sitting in the middle of hallway, blocking the way to the room. It also smelled badly! Unacceptable. Room (#445( was very small, uncomfortable, AC was not working; it was just blowing air! We asked for repair or room change, the receptionist said "sure" and did not get any response, nothing happened, Beach chairs were very old, and cushions were stinky. The overall conditions were for 2 or 3 sTAR hotel! EXPEDIA SHOULD RECONSIDER INCLUDING THIS IN ITS PORTFOLIO
Great resort
They upgraded us for free because it was our anniversary
Positives: Fantastic location and beautiful views. Good food. Lovely pools. Negatives: No WiFi in room. Could do with some renovation touch ups in room. Not enough plug sockets.
الطعام سيء وليس نظيف ومعاملة الموظفين سيئة لاترتقي ل خمسة نجوم
Air condition very very bad
Very good location.air condition very bad
The food was bad they put the same food out from days before they use leftovers for the next day. I’m diabetic I need to keep my insulin in the refrigerator but mine wasn’t working I called the reception they said there sending someone over 3 days passed no one came once.
3 stars not 5.
Great as an all inclusive resort. Tonnes of food options. Good location right on the beach. Lots of entertainment in resort. friendly people. Drinks were crap. Spirits were mostly rum or vodka and minimal range of mixers. Beer was ok. Rooms were average. Resort is 50+ years old and could do with a makeover. Carpets are stained. Our towel hooks kept falling off the wall. The air conditioner wasnt cold enough. Lamp lights would flicker. The staff did however setup our room as pretty as they could with flower petals and towel swans. I dont believe it to be a 5 star resort. I would say 3 stars.
False advertisement by Expedia, this resort does not have forest view rooms.
it was not like we expected from the photo and review
Location was wonderful. Beautiful part of Turkey. Close to water parks, activities and shopping markets. Staff were attentive and entertainment was good. Only downside was the food was a little disappointing, not to the standard I would expect in Turkey where the food is fantastic.
Don’t make reservation !!!
Don’t fool with the beautiful pictures The hotel is very old and the staff is insufficient
Beautiful location
I had booked and paid for a deluxe room. What I was given was definitely not what was shown in the photos. This is false advertising as I pointed out to the Customer Care personnel. I was told there were no other rooms available as " the hotel is full " .. this despite Expedia website saying there were 4 other rooms of this type still available at that time. I was promised that I would be moved to the style of room that I booked (and had already paid for) after the first night - but this still hasn't happened. I will never use Expedia again to book a room. Once the hotel.has your money they simply don't care and you are irrelevant. I have been misled and ripped off. Avoid Avoid Avoid.
Some staff were really friendly, whilst some were very rude. Room was nice and clean, and exactly what was shown in the picture, but the balcony door and air con wasn’t working properly. The door key didn’t work at least 5 times during our stay. The view was stunning and can’t be faulted. The spa in the hotel was amazing and the staff there were really good, Yousuf was very helpful. The hairdresser on the other hand wasn’t. He didn’t deliver what was promised and refused to accept a reduced payment. The food was terrible, no continental breakfast, no toast, eggs, beans or sausages. No berry’s or anything. Lunch and dinner was always the same, same desserts, no variety, no kids options. End up eating out. The snack bar kept serving the same food. Only snack was cheese sandwich or salami sandwich and cakes. The lemonade had flys in it. No evening entertainment.
Old hotel at high price
Hotel is very old and not well taken care of. We booked thru hotels.com and paid $230/night!!! We could have stayed in much better places for that price. We had to extend our stay and booked directly the 2nd night at the hotel. Price went down to $120/night which is the appropriate price for what’s offered. Maybe it’s better to book directly. I don’t know why the price was so high thru hotels.com.
It was the worst experience ever, ive travelled to so many places and stayed in so many hotels. Ive never seen a hotel as bad as this one. Service, reception, room condition, food, cleanliness, staff attitude, EVERYTHING WAS HORRIBLE. I AM ONE UNSATISFIED GUEST.
Good location, nice pool area. Gym is small, but functional. Hotel staff rarely speak English, not for Int’ travelers Rooms are basic for a 5 Star and are not serviced like a 5 Star at all...
We could not have asked for a better vacation spot. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach swimming and poolside lounging. The All Inclusive is the way to go. Food is good and available all day. Nightly entertainment was great. We were treated very well by all the staff, and no matter our needs, We will definitely be coming back
Good hotel but more like a 4 Star
Hotel was generally good. I think it’s more of a 4 Star than a 5 Star. Facilities were good. Pools/grounds were nice. Food was pretty good. Our main issue was with the room. Long and narrow...not the most practical design. Towels/bedding was old. The kids enjoyed themselves. All in all, not a bad resort.
Love the area but so do others and hence the price of accommodation in this area is higher and quality not as good as comparable resorts in less popular areas. Our room was a bit ‘tired’ but the bed was super comfortable and that is a plus. Very good breakfast!
Disappointed
It was a very disappointing trip because we had a very uncomfortable time the beds was really hard the food was cold and last of all the staff was very rude and wanted a crazy price for the smallest items ... please take my advice and don’t stay
Everything is very old. The food was not good. Not clean. I started itching after the 1st night
Very old hotel (50+ years old), rooms are not cleaned properly, no dental kits available, staff at the hotel barely speak English. Had difficulties communicating with them. Food and drinks are less than average
fantastic holiday!
Great hotel... probably the best in the area. Right in the beach. Lovely pools andonly a stones throw from restaurants and bars. The view from our room was amazing! Looking over the resort out to sea with mountains in the distance. (See pic!) The only thing that I think could have been better was the staff spoke very limited English. But overall a great holiday. Would definitely go back again.
Hotel facilities and location were good.. food wasnt that good. Most of the staff dont speak english, and some of them were unprofessional.
The view from my fourth floor room was AMAZING! Marti is the definition of what a resort should be. There were so many options with 3 outdoor swimming pools, indoor swimming pool, different restaurents, the onsite spa and onsite hairdressers. It was just such a beautiful place. The room was good, it could maybe benefit by modernising the rooms to match the beauty of the rest of the resort, but by no means is there anything wrong with the rooms. Had a slight issue with wifi, only seemed to work downstairs in the lobby and not in my room which was slightly disappointing. The food was cooked fresh everyday and to a good standard. All the staff were nice and helpful. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND and would definitely come back!!
Quiet paradise
We stayed there in early April. It was the very beginning of the tourist season and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was gorgeous- the photos don’t do it any justice. Will recommend to all my friends that regularly travel to Turkey. The staff were lovely, and there were some lovely tours that can pick you up from this hotel - if you book online (not highly advertised by the hotel) but tour guides know the hotel well. Will going back in the future and can recommend going at this time of the year as it was Quiet and warm (not hot- but comfortable ).
No wifi. No servises. Hotel far from city. No cleaing. Not frendly.
Good Hotel
It was a nice stay in general, we experienced some problems: absence of WIFI in the room, cleanliness. The room was hot and AC not working.
This is a tired hotel in need of renovation!!!
Our experience was that this hotel had severe internet problems which the staff were well aware of but could not resolve!!! Their view was if they provided wifi in the lobby they had fulfilled their obligations!!! The hotel also operated a very strict policies, an example being food timings if you didn't take food within those times it was removed. Finally they somewhat cleverly priced every extra item in Euro and converted back to Lire at a rate very favourable to the hotel. Our overall experience was this hotel was no longer 5 star resort. Expedia should look at how they allow hotels to publish their star ratings because during our recent trip through key Turkish Holiday resorts we found a wide variance of five star standards!!!
Very very disappointing
Nothing like the photos shown, very dark and dated, restaurant resembles school canteen, when asked what we wanted to drink in restaurant we ordered a coffee and was told we couldn't be served one! Room small and ill equipped. To top it all there were about 300 Turkish teenagers at the hotel, just checking in when we did, needless to say we did not stay.
Beautiful resort
This is a beautiful resort in a nice location with nice beach. Food was good and staff great. Only downside for us was room was across from Elevator and was noisy at night with people talking loud and shouting to each other saying goodnight. Also every time we used elevator there were young kids playing in it pressing each floor which got annoying. A lot of kids running round unsupervised, but that was probably just time we went. April 2017.
I liked everything! Definitely I will come back next year.
A bit of paradise
I have just spent a week at the Marti Resort Hotel, though it wasn't a planned holiday. My mother went into hospital in Marmaris with pneumonia, and we needed to find somewhere comfortable for my dad to stay after their booking finished at a self-catering villa in Turunç. The Marti was such a magical, wonderful find. It meant that when he wasn't at the hospital he could relax completely in this slice of paradise, and I think it actually prevented him getting ill too. I joined him a day later and then a few days after that we were able to bring my mum here to finish recovering. She kept saying she must have died and gone to heaven! Unlike a lot of the hotels in Içmeler, the Marti Resort has these wonderful spacious, colourful gardens, which lead down to a very nice beach. As with all the beaches it's pebbles rather than sand. But it is a heavenly place to swim, with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. The food is very good too, lots of choice, wonderful vegetable dishes. And with the all inclusive all our drinks, coffees and even ice cream were included. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. Gürsoy, an intern working on the main reception desk, really went over and above to help us with absolutely anything we needed. Türkeş in the restaurant would pick my mum jasmine flowers every day, and helped us pack up some of the breakfast food to take to the hospital for lunch while my mum was still there. And so many other staff were just lovely. We had hugs an
A bit of paradise
Amazing place, good food, wonderful views, heavenly environment to relax in. Just wish it wasn't quite so loud with booming discos in the evening, but that's the only fault I can find.
Good hotel in lovely grounds
Great hotel with lovely grounds and swimming pools. Quiet location away from the bustle of Marmaris. The only downside was that being out of season (April)the bars and restaurants boasted by the hotel were all still closed. There were only a few guests and so the food choices were Very limited. Whereas this is perfectly understandable given so few people staying there, it was still disappointing. Other than that the hotel was great and we enjoyed the tranquility of being there when it was under-occupied
Disappointing
The hotel its self is set in beautiful surroundings, but I feel completely duped into buying this hotel, we were promised several different restaurants, kids club, evening entertainment, beach sports. But nothing there was one restaurant open with the same food every day. No choice for children! - Apparently the season doesn't start until May .... Where on the website are we informed of this ???
Excellent hotel
Perfect hotel, we thought we were in heaven, very recommended hotel
needs improvement to food and rooms, 7 out of 10
we read a few negative reviews before we went to hotel and were worried, it has stunning grounds and views, great pools, and lovely sea front, bar was great, however our room the air con was non existent we called the reception 3 times in the end got a another room next day still not cool enough, fridge did not work either and the beds are not that comfy, we had two awful nights sleep. also we met a lot of people who had stayed before that were moaning the AI food was awful, it was awful, and we eat out twice locally, the manager was always dealing with complaints and in fact when we pulled up to the hotel no one greeted us and we waited 40 mins to be checked in after the usually we don't have your booking, in this time we saw the manager dealing with two groups of upset guests, this hotel looks 5 star but more like a 3 1/2, 4 star, if they sorted the food and rooms maybe a 5 star. we loved the pools/sea/views and drinks, met some friendly staff at bar, fyi bar food ok, but my partner and i could not manage another night in the hot rooms. also asked for fan told yes then 6 hours later told we don't have fans!
Wonderful location and lovely hotel.
The hotel has a good layout so everything was easy to find. The hotel has a section of the beach with sun loungers reserved and a shower /changing facilities if needed. With the 3 different pools there was always space to swim, relax and a separate pool for children. All the staff were very friendly and happy to help if needed. I would stay here again!
Location is great
Hotel is located in a central spot, but far enough away from outside noises to be a problem. The grounds are kept very well. The hotel has its own private section of the beach. The only member of staff that stood out from the rest was 'Al Pacino' the bag shop man, he was extremely friendly and every morning would walk around the grounds welcoming guests.
Hotel above and beyond expectations
Great hotel big thanks for your help in making my wife's birthday special.hotels .com are a waste of time cancelled my booking three days before departure then blamed me
don't go
very bad experience for my wife and I, service are almost zero, you would call reception or room service and wait for nothing. Hotel Management shut down the air condition every night for two hours to save money while you sleep, imagine that in hot weather like Marmaris, they claim that they do that so the ac system can take break :) when I asked some of the workers they told me the truth which is to save money and they do that while people are sleep so no one can observe that I strongly not recommend it food is good view is fantastic room size is excellent only issue is room service and air condition
Very good
Perfectly
Excellent !
Poor Air conditioning and Internet connection all other was excellent especially food!
Great Location, Lovely Hotel
Would never tire of waking up to that view from the hotel room. Great location, right on the beach. Great promenade that you can use to walk to Marmaris and then relax on the taxi boat ride back to Icmeler. Hotel facilities excellent and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
Stunning sea view
Our family has had a perfect stay at Marti resort in Icmeler. Great staff, always helpful. Animation team so funny. Highly recommend to upgrade all inclusive- huge choice of salads, pastries, always freah fish and meat, bread, stone-baked pizza, and etc. The only thing we missed is choice of seafood. Beautiful pools and gardens.
Lovely hotel
This is a really lovely hotel thats in a perfect location. We arrived late and stayed up to a explore a little round the grounds and beach and take a night cap. The night manager came to greet us and gave us a warm welcome and discussed the hotel. we immediately felt at home and very valued as customers. the grounds are beautiful and visually pleasing and the building and area are well thought out. The staff in particular are warm welcoming and attentive. Check in and out were smooth and we were given a temporary guest card when we checked out as we weren't getting picked up until 7pm. This was a lovely surprise and not one we have been offered before. The three ladies in our party used the spa, ages 15,25 and 50 and thoroughly loved it. We had the sultan package the first day and it was a fabulous relaxing start to our week at a great price. I also went back again midweek as my masseuse identified a long standing back and shoulder problem and worked on it further for me under the medical massage which again was heavenly. We bought two beautiful items of jewellery in the jewellers. Don't be put off by attentive staff. Look, go in and chat. My son bought a beautiful ring for his fiancé and they also cleaned her engagement ring for her. The bag shop is excellent. Take the time to get to know the team and other guests it makes a huge difference. The rooms are nice and we would highly recommend the sea view rooms.
MARTI "BAD" RESORT !!
Lovely resort. Been before. Hotel, rubbish !! Room bot cleaned/towels not changed on 3 nights. Came home at 22.00 one night, room door wide open (as was room next to mine) no cleaners or cleaners trolley in sight. Very concerning for a 5* hotel. I would not go back.
A truly 5 star experience
Huge resort with a lot of amenities, right on the beach. Friendly staff who make sure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. what I liked the most was the entertainment team who offer that extra dimension that makes your stay stand out. Around the day you'll be able to participate in different activities: morning gym, dart, table tennis and a lot more. Spacious room. Beautiful nature, evening parties and entertainment shows. It's really a long list. I'm definitely going back again.
not 5 star
We stayed at this hotel two years ago and we had an amazing time, 5 star holiday. However this year they have closed the three al la carte restaurants and the buffet food for is not 5 star. Our first night stay was in a bedroom adjacent to a chicken farm. No sleep that night! As all the baths have been taking out of the standard room we decided to upgrade to a sea view room which cost us an extra £200.00. The entertainment was very poor. Overall this hotel should now be classed as a 3 star hotel
Relaxing in the Med!
Arriving at Marti Resort Hotel after travelling for a couple of weeks, we exhaled and immediately began to relax. Our Sea view room was a perfect place to unpack, unwind and take it all in. Our room was on the fourth floor looking out toward the sea. The resort was quiet and finding a lounge chair was never a problem, however service was often slow or non existent, this may have been a result of being there before the season started...The front desk staff were helpful with our requests, on everything from booking a trip to Pamukkale, to getting a dolmus into Marmaris and finding our way around Icmeler.
A real 5 star experience!
Huge resort with a lot of facilities: swimming pools, football, tennis, and other playgrounds, amphitheatre to name a few. What I liked the most was the entertainment team, a group of really nice people who will make sure you will get the ultimate experience with fun and engaging activities throughout the day.
Super facilities and location
Had a weeks R&R by the pool. Used the pool and gym to help balance the great food and drinks. Very helpful and pleasant staff a super time.
Good-looking hotel located in an interesting area
Off-season visit with cold temperatures most days. Would have been more fun with warm weather, Too cold to use pools and ocean. However is easy to find tours and visit the area and there is much natural beauty. The tours will emphasize their low cost, and only briefly mention the cost of the add-on activities. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful with all inquiries. The room was comfortable. Bathroom was small, Variety of food at the buffets was good; soup was very good on cold days. I would prefer that hotel is all-inclusive for everyone. Can get awkward when your all-inclusive status must be rechecked frequently. It is a long, but pleasant walk along the ocean road to the town of Marmaris. Local bus transportation is cheap and easy to use with bus stop right at hotel entrance. Go visit the local market on market day. The displays of food and spices are beautiful to see, and local people are very friendly. This is a part of the world that I would like to re-visit.
Large, many facilities
The room is spacious and comfortable. Postal it was a nice stay. Liked the indoor swimming pool.
Stunning scenery
My family stayed at Marti Resort over the Easter period and were lucky enough to be upgraded into the few family suites because of low guest levels. The suite was very spacious, clean and well stocked. The room was cleaned daily and towels changed as well. As this was the start of the season, the hotel was relatively quiet with the weekend being busy with locals staying overnight or so. The grounds were well kept, appeared to be a lot of staff around. The location is stunning with most rooms overlooking the bay and this is a real selling point for Marti Resort unlike the smart hotels in overcrowded Marmaris. Swimming pools aplenty, it was just unfortunate that the weather was not warm enough to manage the cold temperatures of the outside swimming pools. The indoor facilities - spa, Turkish hammam, swimming pool and gym were great alternatives. We found the food choices on offer to be a bit limited and repetitive - perhaps this was due to it being low-medium season still ? also the level of English proficiency spoken by the staff was limited and made for some interesting conversations! The entertainment staff were great and very friendly. Disappointed by the quality of the beach - shingles and litter around. Saying all this, I'd definitely be interested to return.
The Animation Team were excellent!
The food was lovely- lots of salads, meats, cheeses and amazing desserts. The Animation Team were excellent, the children loved their kids club, the team were friendly and made the evenings fun. The hotel receptionists could do with improving their interpersonal skills.
Marmaris Marti Resort
Wonderful hotel in a great location. Very helpful, english speaker staff.
great place
great place for value, would recommend
Perfect hotel for Marmaris region
This hotel is perfect for the Marmaris region. Just a rather short mini-bus ride out of the Marmaris center in Icmeler, this location is MUCH better than in the center. Rooms are nicely designed, clean, spacious. Pool landscape is great, beach is nice, food is plenty and very good, there is good live music entertainment, staff is friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain! Will come again!
European-Style Relaxing All-Inclusive Resort
Guest Services staff was very helpful, though some of the policies at the hotel were a bit strange to Americans. Very popular sport for English and Russian holiday travelers, and incredible location on the Coast. A bit outside of downtown Marmaris, but only a ten minute taxi ride or very short (and cheap) bus ride. Would stay again.
Excellent resort
No major complains except for the inadequate air conditioning in rooms, lounges, restaurants, etc. However, this is a common problem in Turkey, we found, not only in hotels but also in airports, museums, etc. The hotel staff are very helpful and pleasant. The food was divine, and the restaurants are very nice. However, we couldn't eat outside because of the wasps, which was a problem. The pool and beach facilities are very good. The hotel is located in the small town of Icmeler - an excellent location a few kilometers away from tourist-ridden Marmaris. We went there once and never found a need to repeat it. One particular activity that we enjoyed most was the evening walks to town. The road follows the beach and then a canal all the way to the town. There are shops and restaurants along the way and in town - very very nice. I would go back there any time and I definitely recommend it for others.
If you want a great hotel. Book another hotel!
The check in started well but little else from that point on. The hotel is so poorly maintained its actually dangerous. I fear for any family staying here. Very unsafe practices esp with electricity. Service - what service. They do not know the meaning of hospitality or service at all! Dont ask for anything as it is not possible for them to deliver. Even basic things like " can i have a cork screw" is a very challenging request for this hotel. It has far too many stars in its star rating. At best 3.5 and that is being generous, but sadly they charge like a five star. Complain politely ti mangagement and they empathise " i am very embarrassed they said" but they do not apologise or find resolution to the complaint. If you want to stay in a hotel with poor maintenance, cracked bathroom tiles, open live! Electricity cables, poor service where whenever you call one department they tranfer your call and then that dept transfers your call back to where you started. The only way to get service is walk to guest relations. They even know how bad the service is. So when you request them they do something for you, they do it themself to ensure a request is completed.. If you are coming to marmaris for a luxury high quality service hotel. Avoid this hotel completely. See the pictures and decide for yourself. But buyer beware!!
Nice 4 star hotel
Lovely stay at this hotel. Wonderful decor and layout and probably one of the best looking and well located hotels in the area. Beach was fine, small pebble and sand, crystal clear, refreshingly cold sea. Was challenging to find free beach beds as people reserve with towels all day long. For me food plays an important role on my holidays and I found the quality of the main meals and desserts very average although lots of choice. I wasn't wowed by food but I was wowed by the beauty of the hotel and the area. I suggest staying in a high floor room. There were certain details missing which we concluded didn't seem like a 5 star hotel but if you don't mind a really good 4 star hotel with many many facilities and in a stunning area, you would like here!
Brilliant location- superb views of the sea
Brilliant location with superb views of the sea. This really is an idyllic place to stay. The hotel boats a lot of space around numerous swimming pools. You don't feel cramped next to other holiday makers. The staff are so friendly and always work so hard. In my personal opinion the hotel could have done with more waiters/waitresses at meal times but other than that, the service was excellent. Excellent display and variety of food. Like myself, you may need to go on a diet after your holiday! The bedroom was very spacious- unfortunately as a 3rd person in the room, I had a sofa bed which wasn't the most comfortable of places to sleep, but nevertheless I slept! Again, I think staffing levels were low as the room cleaning was missed some days or left until about 5pm. The guest relation team work hard ensuring all guests are happy with their stay and are seen everyday walking around and talking to guests. The big pool is where they do all the activities such as water polo, water games, zumba etc but the slightly smaller pool is kept for relaxation, so if you don't want to participate, you can still enjoy a relaxing swim in the other pools. The grounds of the hotel are amazing. They have looked at every little detail and perfected it. There are trees and plants everywhere. It is stunning! I don't think my camera quite handled all the photo's I was taking! This is the most beautiful and perfect location to holiday.
Nice four star hotel
Beautiful hotel grounds and nice staff but when you look closer at the details, its not 5 star luxury which does reflects in the price so we got what we paid for. Evening entertainment with external acts/entertainers e.g. Turkish night, acrobats where great but Hotel animation staff shows were amateurish. Food was hit and miss. Hotel food...Turkish dishes were lovely, meats great, omelette at BF was good but most other dishes i felt lacked love and quality but thats probably typical for buffet food. Rooms are clean with an interesting layout, no room is identical to the other (ask for sea facing with a balcony as not all rooms have a walk out balcony), you many struggle in some rooms if you are over 1.8m tall. Rooms dark due to lack of central room lighting which my husband found irritating, i found it soothing. Good hotel serving staff and some hilarious hotel shop staff. Beach, clear water, small pebbles (bring swim shoes). Loungers...not many available as people reserve with their towels from early morning. Overall a good holiday and if staying in the area, this hotels looks and seems like one of the best picks of the bunch
It was good but still the bad thing is the stuff no one understand English
Great resort for a relaxing getaway
I was happy with my experience at this hotel. We were able to check in early without any issues. The room was fairly big and fits 2 people easily. The room itself was clean however the cleaners came very late to make up the rooms; after 5pm. We were placed near the entertainment stage so we could hear the noise at night. This didn't bother us though. The free facilities were great; swimming pool, daily entertainment (i.e. volleyball), sun beds. I only paid for the half board, thus was only entitled to free breakfast and dinner. The food was fairly decent; can't expect too much for buffet food. The hotel is located about 15 minutes drive to central Mamaris. Overall it was a good hotel if one just wants to sit around and sunbathe under the sun.
Pleasant Stay
Because of the winter season half of hotel was closed. Open buffet breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed other amenities as well. There was a water outage in the morning other than that everything was good.
Good but could be better
Overall, a good hotel in a good location with very hardworking staff who try their best to please. The room on arrival however was disappointingly dirty with left over pescription tablets from previous guests. Plus, even though I told numerous members of staff that it was my honeymoon prior to and on arrival they did nothing to make it feel special. Talk of free room upgrades never materialised. Entertainment is also very average and I'm not sure what the animation team actually do apart from walking around shouting show time every five minutes. The pianist was excellent though. Dinner time is a bit disorganised. A simple welcome where someone shows you to a seat would make a massive difference. Guests are often left to their own devices trying to find a table and cutlery to eat.
Ideal location
A lovely relaxing hotel of very high standard. It's in an ideal location, close to the village of icmeler, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, although when in hotel it has an atmosphere of relaxation and serenity.
Overall very good, but communication was a problem
Food was great, only issue was the communication between staff, everyone was extremely helpful and willing to please however, as it was our honeymoon we were supposed to receive breakfaset to the room on the first day, they forgot, and the next day after we reminded them and they had assured us it would happen the next day, they got it right the third day. One of my firends had reserved a massage in the spa for us both as a surprise gift for when we arrived, but this wasn't communicated until after we had already booked one ourselves. they did however, compensate us for the misunderstanding. also on the final day our bags were left in the open after we were told they were being put inthe storage room whilst we wiated 3 hours to leave for our flight. Iasked the person twice and he said they would be put inthe room, but they were just by the front door, so anyone could have taken them. Also, for a five star international hotel, you would expect the wiaters and staff to speak English, at reception some people did, but in the restaurants we never got any of our questions about the food answered with anything but a big smile, in the end we gave up and just went with it, we aren't thaat fussy, but i can see this being an issue for others that are more so. Food, friendliness and facilities were excellent though.
